“That's the point of it, Bryce. Of life. To live, to love, knowing that it might all vanish tomorrow. It makes everything that much more precious.” /// HELLO, HELLO! We all know that I’m a huge fan of Sarah J. Maas (#maasochist), so when her epic Pinterest board came to life F I N A L L Y I had to have it. It’s been a bit since I read HOUSE OF EARTH AND BLOOD and let me tell you: I’m not sure what I think of it! The world was different and super, super cool and I was a fan of the characters (particularly a certain...pet), but it was...different. It’s definitely not like her other books, despite the presence of mythical creatures. This expands on those beings, making a bigger, more modern world. The last half or so was BEST—had me on my toes, which I love, and really got that ship SAILING. But it took a few chapters to get into—and for me to finally understand the world. And parts of the ending were—well, cheesy isn’t the word. Let’s just say people should have done more than just WATCH the whole time. I’m here for the ship (yes, yes I am) and the world and the story, but there’s something missing. Maybe this will be like all Sarah’s other series: the first book is Good, but the next one will knock my socks off. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 #bookstagram #bookgram #booknerd #booknerdigans #bookish #instabook #igreads #epicreads #bookstagramfeature #bookishfeatures #bookishglee #bookreview #sarahjmaas #houseofearthandblood #crescentcity #whatonesthetitlethough #notreallysure #ilikebigbooksandicannotlie #howmuchisthatbookinthewindow #ivegotnogoodcaptionstoday #sorry (at Crescent City, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Ym-pAgIp-/?igshid=1qns7r1hrvifb
