i watched warrior nun a few weeks ago and hm i dont have many thoughts on it good or bad but

1) why are the crusades presented as like. heroic. for much the series. girl what year is it

2) um. little uncomfortable how they presented like the vatican/catholicism as a constant victim of theft and pillaging. when we uh. know its kinda the opposite.

#shocking: julia has issues with catholicism is badass show #ok i obviously dont think the show was like. actually religiously pro catholicism lmao but truly unquestioning xtian imperialism mindsets #but like. i actually do think unilaterally we gotta reconsider how chill people are about the crusades and crusaders #like cmon we gotta problematize the crusades i think we are ready #(actually i mean the way it is still taught/discussed positively from their side???? girl )#also idk im sure people have stolen stuff from the vatican but i dont really care church $ is blood money to me #whatever u guys can see the pinned post on my main yknow i wld be down to raid the vatican any day
