princess leia being lukes sister will never not have me gnashing my teeth shes literally not integrated into the skywalker story at all. this is because its a retcon but by god george lucas i will kill you you shouldve just dropped that plot point.
#a day in the life#what narrative function does this serve? none help 😭 its killing me#well not leia specific but what does 'there is another' do for the story like. what was lukes original sister meant to do...#if its just to say the fate of the galaxy doesnt actually hinge on the personal drama of wizards well i already#knew that man from watching star wars... but its a space opera about the personal drama of wizards#and i dont really see how adding extra wizard drama is particularly helpful for that#but like ig there was more too it in all the other movies george didnt write#and so this really is like a pointless holdover designed to specifically annoy me.
