i just learned that what we call restaurador and conservador in spanish means the complete opposite in english. why would you do that
#according to my text book is a romance vs germanic languages things#what i would call a restaurador in english is a conservator#and a conservador in spanish is a curator in english#the verb to restore is used pejoratively in museum studies unlike restaurar which translates to 'to conserve'#restore is similar to 'reconstruir' in spanish more or less#anyways. why
