Other short hairstyles for Kairi that I've thought about:

This is the character Chloe Sullivan from Smallville (and sorry for the Allison Mack TW). This is another flippy hairstyle (on the side). But one side is doing it, while the other is straight in an asymmetrical way.

These last three pics above are the character Maria Deluca from Roswell again (but with a different hairstyle earlier in season 1). These three pics are all the same hairstyle. It's a lot like Kairi's first haircut, it looks like, just with different bangs. And the headband Maria wears in the first pic makes it look different from Kairi of course, too. Honestly, this is probably my least favorite idea. I definitely prefer option one or two (if we got anything even remotely in these ballparks). But I would maybe be okay with something like the third. Especially if Kairi did wear something cute like a headband. I'm sure Nomura could make it work.

So, if Kairi has to have short hair again in Kingdom Hearts IV--which I imagine there's a good chance that she will. I feel like Kairi herself prefers short hair. And it makes sense for her to keep short hair now that she's a warrior, so that her hair can't be used against her in battle--one hairstyle I would personally love for her to have would be this one:

Something akin to Maria Deluca's from Roswell season 1.

It does that flippy thing, like Yuna or Selphie's, but it's also different from theirs, because instead of doing that on either side of the head, the hair is flipping out behind the head, if that makes sense.

I just think it's pretty. And it bonus points in that it could seem like Kairi was inspired by her friend Selphie, or something like that, while also still being original.
