League of Legends Lore Ask Game!
It's finally here! If you reblog this post I'll send you a few myself to get things started :D There's 35 questions, so I'll put every question after these first few under the cut. General Lore
1- What's your favourite champion biography? 2- Favourite non-biography short story? 3- Favourite skinline/alternate universe story? 4- If you had the chance to rewrite any character, who would you choose? What would you change? 5- Your opinion on the lore of a character the asker chooses? (If the asker doesn't specify, just pick at random!)
6- What's your favourite lore fun fact? (ie a champion's favourite food, something small like that) 7- What character(s) do you think are underrated and/or underappreciated? Tell us about them and their lore! 8- Favourite canon relationship? (Romantic, platonic, familial, enemies, anything goes.) 9- What's your favourite region, and why? 10- What's your favourite character from a region of the asker's choosing? Why?
Headcanons/Fanworks
11- Give us a headcanon of your favourite character! 12- Any queer headcanons? Tell us! 13- What's your favourite non-canon relationship? (Again, anything goes; (queer)platonic, romantic, etc.) 14- Any headcanons about your favourite region? Cultural, political, etc; anything that comes to mind! 15- What's your favourite League-related fanfiction? If you can't pick, feel free to answer with multiple! 16- Favourite rarepair? As with the previous relationship questions, this doesn't have to be interpreted romantically. 17- Do you have any canon-compliant headcanons? Share them! 18- Alternatively, any non canon-compliant headcanons? 19- You get to retcon one piece of currently canon lore and replace it with a headcanon of yours. What do you pick? Why? 20- If you got to add voicelines to a character of your choosing, what voicelines would you add?
Character Design/Worldbuilding
21- What character do you think has the most fitting visuals for their lore/personality? Why? 22- What character do you think has the least fitting visuals for their lore/personality? Why? 23- What character's abilities (either in League or LoR, if applicable) fit their lore the most? 24- What character has the most fitting voice/voice delivery for their character? Alternatively, for non-speaking characters, best sound design? 25- What region do you think has the best worldbuilding?
Skinline/AU
26- What skinline/AU has the best lore, in your opinion? Why? 27- If you were to make another band in the Riot Records universe, what characters would you pick and what genre of music would they make? 28- If you were to add a character to an AU/skinline, what and who would you pick? What would their role be? 29- You get to make your own skinline. What kind of lore would it have, and who are you giving the skin(s) to? 30- Crossover time! You get to make a crossover skinline with a non-League media of your choosing. What media are you picking, and what characters from both medias would be in it?
Just For Fun
31- Hug, marry, kill with three characters of the asker's choosing. "Marry" can be taken platonically. 32- You have to be roommates with a champion of your choosing for one year minimum. They're not allowed to physically hurt you or kill you, but they'll act the exact same otherwise. Who are you picking? Why? 33- Any song(s) you associate with a particular character? 34- Any characters you associate with someone? ie a mutual, specific artist, irl person... anything like that. 35- You're stuck in an elevator for an hour with a character of the asker's choosing. No phones/other distractions. How are both of you doing?
#hallow's original posts#league of legends#legends of runeterra#ask game#feel free to send me asks too! i'll send some questions back#fyi i use 'character' and 'champion' interchangeably here#feel free to pick non-champion characters even if it says champ

So, one of the lousy criticisms Wish gets is its use of too many references to movies that are better than it. This critique just feels heavily biased if i'm being honest. As much as I am fond of some of the older Disnsy movies, which are the reasons why I like Wish, I would exactly call them good. Youtuber Veridis Joe made a video discussing about how just because it's the first, doesn't mean that it's good.
Let's use an obvious example, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Wish takes heavy inspiration from Snow White as it makes sense for their 100th movie to revisit their roots. The saying that Snow White is better than Wish is a lie because, is Snow White really better story and character wise?
That's the kicker with some of these older Disney movies. Just because they're "classics" doesn't mean they're free from criticisms. Hell, people are criticizing that Snow White and Aurora despite the being title characters don't get to do crap and are overshadowed by their own villains and sidekicks. Just because Snow White was the first doesn't mean it holds up. It aged like milk and the reason why people like it is because it invented the classical tropes we associate Disney, people like it because it's "traditionally animated". They care more about the decorations than the foundation.
That's the thing with nostalgia and why at some times, it's not good. People grew up with the old movies and that's why they heavily favored them over reboots and live action remakes. Disregarding the things that are improved because their automatic response to things that are different is to antagonize them. And this is especially problematic when some people actually misremembered the thing they are nostalgic for. The insistence the crybabies on Tiktok insist that Rapunzel should be played by a blonde white actress even though Rapunzel's natural hair color is brown, they they be acting stupid by forgetting wigs and special effecfs exists simply because of a fan casting.
Back on the topic of easter eggs. While some can be groan inducing, most of them are harmless and something that Disney fans can go find. That says something that some of these critics don't watch the movie and pay attention to what it wants to convey and rather list down the things they wanna be mad about, like the songs, the quirky main character, the goat's voice, the scrapped draft and the villain.
Speaking of which.
While Magnifico is the highlight of the movie after years of lacking antagonists and underwhelming twist villains, people are still complaining over him not being a complete villain because of his motivation.
The main gripe people have about him is that be seemed reasonable and that his switch from villain is "sudden", saying that the book is just there as lazy excuse to make him evil and redeemable. This, is media illiteracy. As much as I don't like to bill this to takes I don't like, it's an accurate description.
Magnifico's villainy is applicable to influencers and social media personalities. And considering the age where some of these "celebrities" are outed for being and doing shady things, it fits to a T. You don't know a person is toxic until you found out. And like with Amaya, you don't know if your spouse/partner really loves and cares for you you until you see what they can do to you once they have enough power and influence.
Going back to the topic of previous Disney movies being "superior" to Wish, there's one movie I like to bring up. Princess and the Frog.
Princess and the Frog has many similarities to Wish. After a period of several experimental 3D animated movies that were passable but forgettable, sorry Bolt and Robinsons fans, PatF returns to the old formula of 2D animated, musicals, villains and romance.
Tiana is a great character and her story about working hard to achieve her dreams is in line with Wish's themes. Facilier and Magnifico are even comparable as both men "cheat" their way to get to the top by using magic that isn't theres and suffering the consequences for it.
And like I said above about how classics aren't free from any criticism, PatF has its own problems, mostly about Disney's first black princess being a frog for most of its runtime, and the convoluted plot revolving around technicalities to break the spell. What holds PatF back are these issues and some people dismiss them because they are too focused on the 2D animation, romance, villains, which aren't bad tropes, aren't enough to save your movie. Same way how even if Wish was 2D animated and had a love interest, people will still crap on it because it's Disney in 2023/2024.
Oh contraire, if any of the classical and renaissance films are made and released today as they are, they wouldn't be praised today as they were back then.

Tell us your 3 fave OC ships and the song(s) or other media you associate with them. They can be your own OCs or the OCs of someone else (it's more fun if you include someone else!) Pass this on to 3 others (on or off anon) and let's keep the game going!
Strap in folks! Somebody asked me to talk about love (my favourite thing after cats) so I'm going to go for it! I'm going to do 3 ships of other simmers (I'm afraid I won't say what media I associate with these as I don't want to misrepresent any characters) and 3 ships of my sims because "Hang the code! And hang the rules! They're more like guidelines anyway" (yes, Pirates of the Caribbean is still going around in my head)
Other's Amazing OC 🚢 (so hard to pick)
Vlad and Ji Ho by @satureja13. I am a big fan of romance that takes its time and these two fit that. Check out their writing if you haven't already as there are several sweet couples trying to find their way in the world. If you're searching for a song for them well... the story pieces come with music to get you in the headspace.
2. Victor and Yuri by @stargazer-sims. I've only just met these two recently but I love them already. To me true couples support each other, and the devotion these two have for one another is shown in the writing.
3. Excuse me while I do 3 for number 3 because I'm indecisive. Zinnia and Momo by @belsasim. Young love is adorable! Who knows what these two have ahead but I'm excited to see how it goes. Erick and Noemi by @matchalovertrait. I love a couple that cheer on each other's dreams, and these two do that. REDACTED and REDACTED by @simmerbeans. The 7th generation is so sweet and that's all I'll say because no spoilers here!
My Beloved OC 🚢
Reece and Samir. I love these two because they communicate with each other. It drives me insane when couples go through problems created by not just sitting down and having a proper conversation. Yes they're on the spicy end of the spectrum, I wrote a mini TedTalk for @daedriyth about why, but beyond the spice they are pretty damn devoted to each other.
Song: Suburban Legends by Taylor Swift because I listened to it loads when writing them actually getting together so in my head, there's a connection.
I didn't come here to make friends We were born to be suburban legends When you hold me, it holds me together And you kiss me in a way that's gonna screw me up forever
2. Rahul and Cassandra. Rahul came along and showed Cassandra a life beyond the expectations of being part of the Goth family. They have moved to the country and together are working on raising their kids (and still want more kids). Rahul wants to give Cassandra the large loving family that neither of them felt they had growing up.
Song: Beautiful Day by Joshua Radin because the it sounds like them. It's about connecting back to nature, shrugging off the negative, and making a peaceful home where you are.
Gonna climb that hill behind my house See what this place is all about Cause from above it all, you can't help but say It's gonna be a beautiful day
3. Keira and Marta. Keira was getting over a teenage romance when she met Marta. The two clicked, Marta is a romantic and Keira has the soulmate aspiration. Marta may have an abusive ex but Keira has proposed and is longing to make a love nest with the girl who helps her feel good about herself.
Song: Meant To Be by Bebe Rexha ft. Florid Georgia Line because they took their time when they started their relationship. Keira was still very new at dating and Marta was wary after it took her so long to realise her ex Liam was treating her like trash.
No need to go nowhere fast Let's enjoy right here where we at Who knows where this road is supposed to lead We got nothing but time
Happy Valentines Day from New Zealand

WIP Questionnaire
Thank you @tildeathiwillwrite for the tag! (From 2 weeks ago lol but anyways)
I'm answering these for The Flames of Revolution!
1. What’s the first part of your WIP that you created?
Technically this is the prequel to my Days of Resistance series, so I came up with a lot of the world and character stuff before I started this book specifically. Most of the first stuff I created was just bits and pieces of Caldren's backstory, mainly about him being an assassin, and a lot of the moments with him and Peg.
2. If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?
"Things We Lost in the Fire" by Bastille is one of the songs I really associate with this book in particular. Fire is a huge element to Caldren's character arc. Almost all the big turning points in his life involve flames, hence the name of the book. Both the lyrics and the vibe fit really well.
But if I was looking for a song for the series as a whole, I really like "War of Change" by Thousand Foot Crutch. It fits with both the outer conflict with the government and with the internal conflict of some of the characters.
3. What are your favorite characters that you made? Why?
Peg. I love Caldren to death, but Peg is my favorite little guy in all the world. He's so sweet and perfect and pure. I put him through so much trauma, but despite it all he just keeps going and holding onto his kind, sweet nature.
Caldren is so great too though. He's so, so stupid sometimes, but his character arc is great. He's also such an interesting mess of contradictions, and despite everything he's a great big bro.
Madreline is so hard-working and supportive. She takes no nonsense, but is still very sweet and compassionate. I really wish I could write her in more tbh.
I'm going to put in Scatterwag as an honorable mention because he's probably my favorite side character. He has some of the same vibes as Fagin from Oliver Twist or Long John Silver in Treasure Planet. Like, you know his morals are extremely messed up and he's probably committed absolute atrocities, but there's something so jolly and lovable about him that you can't help liking him.
4. What other pieces of media do you think your fanbase would share?
I'm honestly not sure. It's a really weird genre, hinting at historical fiction but definitely not actually that, but not quite fantasy either? I think that people who like it would also like things like the Hunger Games. It was also inspired a lot by The Wingfeather Saga, so I think that would also be something my fanbase might share.
5. What has been your biggest struggle with your WIP?
Training scenes. Caldren's whole thing is wanting to become stronger/more adept at fighting so he can get his revenge, but I am absolutely horrible at writing training scenes. There's like, at least three and I'm trying to figure out how to write them beyond "and then they taught him how to use a dagger" 😅.
6. Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!
I don't really have any specific animals in this book, although there's a pretty nice dog in other books of the series. In this book, Caldren does have a horse, but it's not super important. There's also a few mentions of the street dogs! They're these unwanted, abandoned dogs that wander the back streets of the big cities in packs, and will occasionally attack humans to try to get food. While they are legitimate threats, there's this whole thing about Peg relating to the street dogs because he knows how it feels to be cast out and considered monstrous and unlovable. Andreu tames one later in the series.
7. How do your characters travel/get around?
It's a time period before cars, so the main transportation is wagons, carriages, and horses. Carriages are usually for the wealthy, though. Caldren rides a horse between cities. Within the city, Caldren and Peg travel mainly by foot. They know the back streets and all the shortcuts really well. Caldren also ends up learning how to travel by rooftop.
8. What part of your WIP are you working on right now?
Filling in all the spots I skipped over when I did NaNoWriMo last year. I feel like I'm getting so close to being finished and then I realize there are whole chapters I skipped because I wasn't sure what exactly was going on in it. I guess it's technically still in the first draft but I feel like I've changed things and filled in so many plot holes that it's gotta be at least the third draft 😅
9. What aspects (tropes, maybe?) will you think draw your audience in?
One big thing is the found family with Caldren and Peg.
Besides that:
- Assassins
- Dystopian, but not super disturbing or graphic
- The fact that it's a Christian YA (?) book that not super annoying and cliche. (I hope 😅)
10. What are your hopes for your WIP?
Right now I just want to get the whole draft finished. My long-term hopes are to finish up the rest of the series, because this whole backstory prequel for Caldren isn't as meaningful if you don't have the context of the rest of the series.
Tagging! @late-to-the-fandom @agirlandherquill @themswritinwords @ryns-ramblings um and open tag!
Blank questions!
1. What’s the first part of your WIP that you created? 2. If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be? 3. What are your favorite characters that you made? Why? 4. What other pieces of media do you think your fanbase would share? 5. What has been your biggest struggle with your WIP? 6. Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them! 7. How do your characters travel/get around? 8. What part of your WIP are you working on right now? 9. What aspects (tropes, maybe?) will you think draw your audience in? 10. What are your hopes for your WIP?

Genuinely having a fit so I'm gonna rant!
There is no evidence Jade Castrinos was/is a drug addict!
Everyone knows the internet is a lying liar who lies but it still pisses me off when people just ... believe shit?
Context: there's a video on the hellscape that is TikTok that's just an upload of the song Home by Edward Sharpe and the magnetic zeros preforming at the tiny desk.
https://youtu.be/XWIvfE01J0k?si=Wq6fhs-uJKnwUZWt
5:00 min mark to 10:00 min mark
In this video Jade is dancing kinda erratically and she's smiling and touching her face alot. She's also wearing clothing that alot of people associate with addicts (baggy, a rasta hat, ect).
This performance was uploaded to TikTok and the comments are monotonous.
"she's off her head, she's a junkie, he can't even look at her, he looks so sad, this ended her career, this is why they kicked her out"
THIS IS A SONG ABOUT MELANCHOLY LOVE. OF COURSE THERES GONNA BE CONFLICTING EMOTIONAL DISPLAYS. ART PEOPLE.
I've dug as hard as I can into both these people's life, from what I can find and PLEASE if you have sources to the contrary, share them, she wasn't an addict(some sources from Alex state she might have had sobriety challenges before the band formed), and there is no evidence she was using when this song released however Alex has gone on record as struggling with drugs, and not a sing commenter brought this up.
Secondly Jade and Alex weren't dating in this performance! Comments saying how "hard he's trying to love her 🥺" are wrong! They dated, briefly, the summer before this was recorded but they're professionals, they worked together after the fact.
FINALLY, the comments saying her addiction is why she was kicked are also lies! Again if you have contradicting sources please share, but from what I gathered, Jade states she was fired after a group vote and Alex states she quit after being asked to not tour for 1 cycle. That's it. Both seem to be very private people, with Jade having no social media, and both have obviously moved on.
FINALLY FINALLY jade still has a career! She's just very offline but she still tours, drugs didn't ruin her life, she seems to be doing fine.
This might sound like I'm trying to exonerate her of the "sin" of being an addict, but frankly I couldn't care if she was using 24/7, it's not my business and not an issue I'm morally hung up on. I'm just pissed that this a trend where people see someone having fun and jump to diagnose them. Also, they where indie hippies! This was their vibe, they probably did smoke, but that's also just low-key how hippies dance and how 2000s indie artists dressed.
Tl;Dr: For the love of God's don't jump to the worst case scenario and make up tragedies about real-life people, that's weird!

keep seeing posts about that one playlist posts and I've decided you all make character playlists wrong. they're not about being 100% accurate or sounding cohesive they're about putting any and every song that so much as reminds you of that character and, most importantly, having fun
#seriously do you guys not put songs that don't even remotely fit the character but inexplicably remind you the character in playlists?#what about ones where the lyrics dont fit but the song tune or style or tone does?#or the meaning doesn't fit but the imagery that meaning is told with does?#what about songs that have associations to how they're used in media that fit a character but the song itself doesn't#gets kinda mad about this sorry im just. shut up they dont need to be pretty or cohesive or perfect what the hell are you all talking about#if youre a perfectionist about your playlists thats a you problem leave me out of it#joyousposting#arrow pointing at me. guy who is like the opposite of a perfectionist and gets frustrated with stuff like that. who give a shit

7, 10, 18 + 25!
7) are any of your fics strangely sentimental?
hmm probably my sally jackson fic I wrote for @suchastart on here forever ago! it desperately needs a rewrite but I like the little backstory I gave to sally/posally all the way back in 2013 lol. pjo has been a fave for a long time, so this one will probably stick with me for awhile
10) if you had to change a key element of your best fic (define best in whatever way you'd like!), what element would you change? why?
defining best is so hard. if you want what I'm proudest of, it's kind of a three way tie between my batfam tog au, this spn fic, and my tg long fic. tog au I would change how I worked in jason. I do still want him gone during the fic, but I don't feel like I did him enough justice and would want to rework the bits where he's mentioned (don't worry, he'll come back later). spn fic: ...nah I'm happy with this one it's not changing lmao. tg fic: more carole!! we always need more carole in tg fics, the lack of her is a crime
18) if you associate music, media, or poems with your fics, pick one and tell us about that association and why it inspired you.
so 99% of my fics are titled from song lyrics, if that tells you anything about how I associate songs with my work 😅 it's really hard to pick!!
each one has some sort of connection to the fic itself; maybe I got stuck and a certain lyric helped me get out of the block, or the other way around--I'll find a song that fits with what I already wrote. it all goes together. I have tons of character/series playlists that I'll pull from for titles, but how the writing itself all goes together with it depends on the fic
25) how do you feel about the most recent fic you published?
most recent are my tg/tgm whumptober prompts! I'm really happy with how they're going so far, I just wish I would have kept them as separate fics instead of chapters because each prompt fill is much longer than I expected them to be, and they're each fics in their own right. too late to change it now 😔 unless I switch gears and just post solos from here on out, I've only posted 8...but. I've already posted 8 lol

Fuck it, I'm gonna dissect all the bullshit in that one Lilith post bit by bit
TW// Lilith hate, victim blaming, abuse, cult mention, ableism towards Autistic people, sexualization of minors (briefly mentioned)
I'll be putting my text in bold just in case it's hard to distinguish between the pictures and my commentary
Here's the post I'm referring to in case you're curious
Moving on and starting with this bit
People pay attention to Eda all the damn time, she's literally one of the main characters. Funny how you only mention tik tok and nothing else. Is that the only other social media you have? Because fans on different social media platforms act much differently; on IG and Reddit stuff like the sexualization of minors and fucking ODALIA AND ALADOR STANS are normalized, where everywhere else it's pretty much universally agreed that that stuff is bad. I don't know a lot about what toh Tik Tok is like just because I don't usually go on tik tok, but even if it is like this, it's not the same for the rest of the fandom. A lot of the fandom still hates Lilith and blames her for her abuse and not being able to leave
You say that like she's a bad person, she's really not. The curse she placed on Eda wasn't intended to be permanent and probably wasn't even supposed to take the effects that it did. She was most likely scammed. I mean look at how she reacts when Eda transforms for the first time. She also feels guilty enough about it to throw herself into an abusive situation and spend almost her whole life trying to make up for it. Lastly, yes she hurt Luz, but let's not forget that Belos threatened her life upon Eda's capture and Lilith was running out of time and had no other option. Obviously what she did was wrong but she's not the real monster here.
"I do like Lilith" this entire essay says otherwise.
Literally none of us ignore any of the bad shit she's done, stop lying about us.
Yes, Lilith did mock her for her curse, which was messed up, but we don't actually know for sure if the curse is basically canonically a disability in that world, so if that's the case then for now it's technically not ableism until we get confirmation otherwise.
"it was an accident and I forgive Lilith" no you fucking don't. First of all this entire essay is you talking about how evil you think she is and secondly, if it really was as bad as you view it, you wouldn't be that forgiving.
Ah yes the victim blaming, the one thing that almost everyone does to Lilith and barely anyone talks about.
There is literally not a single Lilith stan out there who blames Eda for getting cursed. You're just mad that your victim blaming towards Lilith got called out so you silence us by lying about how we do the same thing to Eda.
No one is making Eda out to be the villain either, the only example I can find of this is a few fanfics where she treats Lilith a lot more harshly than she should, and even then, scenes like that are written in a positive light as if you're supposed to be on Eda's side, so with that in mind, the writers of these fics are clearly not even Lilith stans. In terms of how actual stans treat Eda, the worst they do is make her slightly ignorant of Lilith's trauma, kinda like the fandom, minus the "slightly", until she grows as a character and learns to see the red flags. If that's the problem you're talking about, then breaking news: Eda's not perfect either. She has flaws too just like literally everyone else in the show and people are allowed to write about them
Tell me the truth: are people making playlists for Lilith that include a lot of sad and angry songs because she's not a happy person anyway so there wouldn't be a point in having any happy songs, or are they making "trauma" playlists? There's a difference
I'm sorry, are you trying to tell me that people recognizing Lilith's trauma is victim blaming Eda? That's not how it works sweetycakes
There is far more Eda angst out there than there is for Lilith, where are you finding so much Lilith angst? LILITH is the one who's traumas are being ignored while Eda's gets all the attention. You're acting like one of those white cis gays on twitter who see black people talking about the anti blackness they experience daily and accuse them of being homophobic because "there is so much homophobia in the world and they still manage to make it all about race".
No one is saying that Lilith has worse trauma, we're only saying that her's is also severe and that it definitely exists. Also funny how you're allowed to be mad at us for comparing Lilith and Eda's trauma (once again lying about us), then you go on to do the exact same thing and say that EDA'S trauma is worse. Even if, hypothetically speaking, Eda did have it worse, that doesn't mean Lilith doesn't have the right to be traumatized. Both of them have trauma, both should be recognized. Also, Lilith had far more going on in her life than just the guilt of her actions, she was was implied to have been psychologically and maybe physically abused, and was probably even tortured. Stop ignoring all the red flags and condemn the actual abuser (Belos) before you criticize anything the abused (Lilith) has done.
We're not making everything about Lilith, like shut up.
Please don't say that autistic people "have autism", it implies that it's something that can be removed from us. For example: you don't say "a person with blackness" when referring to black people or "a woman with homosexuality" when referring to Lesbians.
Oh yeah I'm also autistic so here are MY thoughts
Amity and Lilith are not antagonists anymore, hcing them as Autistic is not villainizing autism.
The autistic Lilith headcanon was made by autistic fans, allistics only latched onto it because they either wanted to be supportive or they saw that she actually had a lot of autistic traits
You're not the only autistic person alive, just because you're not like Lilith or Amity doesn't mean none of us are or they're not autistic. I mean, I know I am
You're not fun or funny
"not all Autistic people are like this" remember that line, dear readers
Actually, I prefer the autistic villain trope MUCH more than the grown ass autistic adult that acts like a five year old trope. At least we'd have less stereotypes associated with us.
Autism is not supposed to be portrayed in only fun and happy characters, that is literally the epitome of stereotyping and infantilizing. You literally just said that not all autistic people are the same, doesn't this count as being all the same? Does this mean I don't exist anymore? Am I just not autistic? Are you even aware that a flat affect or monotone voice is literally a very common autistic trait? You can't just say that we're stereotyping autistics and then just go on to stereotype us, like what the fuck are you even on? Is it only ok when you do it?
Amity is not edgy for fuck's sake
Literally no one is headcanoning Lilith or Amity as autistic because they're mean, we headcanon them as autistic because they actually show traits of it
Oh, our harmless headcanons are making you feel uncomfortable because they don't fit into the stereotypes you made up about us? Good to know our plan is working I guess
Last thing I wanna say regarding this post as a whole: why are you acting like liking Lilith and feeling sympathy for her is a bad thing? If you find this then don't say "I don't think that's a bad thing", answer HONESTLY
Well that's all I have for now, thank you for reading, I need to go to bed soon

You see that's very simplistic.
Your generation, not only yours but there's been an acceleration during the last 20 years, has been taught that choices happen in a vacuum. This is a marketing technique, and I should know, it's part of my job. It works for anything, from selling noodles to selling an ideology. Here's how it works.
Let's say I want you to buy something you don't need, for example, a red ball. You already own a green ball, that's a good ball and you don't need the red one. What do I do? I create the need. How do I do that? I show you happy, successful people, and they own a red ball. The communications is at that point still about the fact that it's a ball, even if it's mainly it's about the values, the imagery that comes with it. So let's consider that what I want you to believe is that owning a red ball means being happy.
You will see happy people with a red ball in commercials, printed, on TV, on your computer. The red ball will appear in TV shows. That cool character of your favorite TV show? He owns a red ball. Maybe it's in the background but even unconsciously you've noticed it. It's in music videos, it's in songs, on social media, vloggers try it etc... And every time, the red ball is associated with happiness and success.
Over time, you start thinking hey, maybe I need a red ball? You won't make the connexion with the product placement, because the only thing you will have consciously noticed will be the "in your face" advertising, and most people think they're immune. But you need a red ball now, you want one.
Once I know that the idea that people have really started associated the red ball with happiness and success, the second part of the campaign will be about telling you that you deserve the red ball. After all, aren't you special? Unique? Don't you deserve a little treat? Something to underline how particular and interesting you are. The ads won't have anything to do with the use of the ball anymore. Maybe you'll see a beautiful woman, in an exotic, luxurious place, narrating a story about self assessment and empowerment, and at the end, you'll see the red ball. The message will be you're worth it. And you'll believe it.
Then maybe I'll even try to create a community of red ball owners. With an exclusive website, exclusive content. Red ball owners will feel like a small elite, people who have a special way of life, who deserve the best. And I will cater to that feeling that I have entirely created.
But if you ask them, they will tell you they chose the red ball. And it's important for my sales that they keep on believing they did.
Why do you think brands use the whole "empowerment" imagery for? Because they don't want you to question your impulses. They want you to act on them, in a direction that they have pre-determined. That technique has been used to sell everything, most famously to sell cigarettes. The campaign that was made to paint smoking as what rebels and free thinkers did is still working today decades after it was made by a man named Edward Bernays.
The trans ideology has been sold to you the exact same way.
Look at what you say about surgery. What if people choose to change parts of their bodies? The right question is, who told them it would help them? Who presented plastic surgery, or worse, castration, as a remedy to psychological distress ? Who showed them heavily edited success stories? Who paid doctors to endorse the procedures (like it was done in the past for cigarettes and lobotomies)? Who created entire TV shows to promote it or placed characters that fit this agenda? Who created the need?
A body is not a vessel! Our bodies are ourselves, thinking the body is a vessel is a religious belief. And think, if the body were just a vessel, why would you need to change it to be yourself, if your self is just your soul?
hey? mind your own fucking business and what's your deal with being such an asshole? also what's up with you misgendering my friend? respect peoples pronouns and get educated fuckin scum terf
I am minding my own business, you are the one coming to my inbox. And speaking about education, why don’t you start by expressing yourself properly?
If you want to talk about gender, we can, but not with that language.
#Gender critical#Look at Apple's marketing techniques#It's completely manipulative in that exact same way
