Coming home from a hilarious musical that made my jaw & stomach hurt from laughter only to see videos from a different musical theatre concert where one of my favourite actors performs a heartbreaking aria and now I am bawling my eyes out.

After laughing for almost 2 hours straight at the theatre earlier.

What can I say, being a musical theatre fan is fun.

#the song & performance I'm referring to here is Yarik singing Sonichka's aria btw #but I don't think any of my followers know the reference hence me not explicitly mentioning it in the post #and honestly I'm surprised I liked this performance so much because it is not a song I think that can be sung by a man this well #well at least I did not think a man could sing it so well emotionally (mostly bc some of the lyrics are very female-trauma centric)#but now I see I was wrong #I'm bawling my eyes out holy shit. he did so well. like I knew musically he'd nail all these insanely high notes #but I did not expect it to emotionally destroy me as well #what a range. playing both Rodya AND Sonichka. kings only #personal #musical posting
