Dumb old diabetes was trying to ruin our day. We had a low blood sugar at the tail end of our hike. Unfortunately we were sweating a little and stopping for long would have caused us to get a bit cold. We got the candy out and started a reduced Basel rate for the rest of our hike. She was low enough that I knew she shouldn't walk until she felt better so I got some backpack training with a 70lb. Sweetheart. We kick diabetes butt!!
