Weresnake in London au
This au takes place when Pentious was alive in London and he has a weresnake curse
Pentious had this weresnake curse many years ago. Some days can be manageable, and some days can't be manageable
There were many news about too many ripped bodies and corpses lying in the streets. No one knows what it is or who done it but some rumor says that it was a giant snake with arms. And they say that it can only be seen in full moon nights
Pentious tried desperately to get in his cage in time, his family curse was well in his mind, yet for some reason hes been slipping up.
Or rather something is trying to make him slip up. The lock on his cage was clearly damaged but it was too late.
He could see through his snake form as his mind was taken over but only passively. He saw grass, he saw the town and he saw a woman he was to be courting for marriage. He adored this poor dame, and he was scared his animal mind would just rip into her. This was fortunately stopped by her having a ham leg to offer to avoid getting torn into. He knew then he needed her as his wife.
Even still the beast went on it's way to find more prey as she had smartly made her escape and was gone from sight.
Trailing through the streets, tearing into bodies greedily not even finishing.
Hed away naked in his home safely in his bed, well on it at least he dudnt quite stay in the sheets.

Thinking about Weresnake!Jacob again. Some thoughts:
Jacob’s snake form has the same coloration as the Common European Adder, the only poisonous snake native to England, so he’s got a dark brown stripe down his back with lighter brown sides. It definitely helps him blend in with the many brown colors that cover London, even outside of Autumn and Winter.
Jacob hates the cold. Despises it with a vengeance. It makes him sluggish and so he’s not as alert when it gets colder. Which, combine that with the chilly air London typically has and all the rain, Jacob does not have a good time after moving to London.
Speaking of which, one of the first things that happens after the Fryes get the train (besides getting the cattle car) is Jacob making sure that every car has at least one heat source. He can now be comfortable anywhere on the train, especially as it gets colder.
Jacob’s snake form isn’t as striking as one would think. Sure, he gets the scales and the eyes and the fangs and even a tail, but not much else changes. He doesn’t get a longer neck or an actual snake head, which saves him a lot of pain, seriously… But he is a little jealous of the cobras and their hoods and he wishes he was a snake that had a hood because those look so cool to him.
One thing that both sides of Jacob share is the ability to unhinge their jaws. Snakes have to do that to swallow large prey sometimes and I can’t help but think of Jacob using that to his advantage in like an eating contest or something. He just stuffs a ton of food into his extra-wide mouth and keeps going. That doesn’t save him from the stomachache or Evie’s wrath later, but it was worth it.
Jacob lays on roofs and suns himself sometimes. Just takes his coat off like he’s at the beach (unless it’s cold) and lays in the sun. This can also extend to fireplaces, but Jacob likes to take in the sunshine more often. Evie rolls her eyes when she sees him doing it but it’s more amusing than anything and so she doesn’t do anything. At least her brother’s having fun.
Jacob stops enjoying the fireplace so much after Roth, though. In the few months that he got to have a place at the Alhambra and learned more about Roth, Jacob was given free reign of the man’s office. This included getting the chance to curl up in front of the warm fireplace, even if he had to restrict himself to a chair to keep away suspicion. After what happens, though, curling up in front of fireplaces gives Jacob bad memories instead, so it takes him a long time to loves fireplaces again.
Evie’s blinded by anger at first in Sequence 9, but once they’ve had a chance to be separated, Evie realizes just how angry Jacob was. There were so many signs that he was on the verge of snapping at someone, maybe even to the point of losing control, because she could see his snake eyes and a hint of his fangs. He was stressed out and angry and he could’ve very well hurt someone if their fight had gotten even more heated, and Evie had been too blinded by her own anger to see that something was wrong with her twin. Jacob may have learned to control himself over the years, but it was as much her responsibility as his if he lost control, because the curse was both of their faults. This leads to Evie being more remorseful and calm later when they talk things out before the final confrontation and Evie can tell how much Jacob appreciates it.
Thankfully for Jacob, he never really has to shed his skin like an actual snake, since his transformations just switch him between forms. That doesn’t stop him from getting itchy every so often and having to pull out a few scales, though.

Weresnake of London au : a story request
Pentious's ex friend pisses off Violette so bad so he (Pentious) decides to kill the ex friend in the night
Violette had taken great offense from Pentious' friend trying to romance her when she was already spoken for. His ex friend thought they got away with this disrespect with a slap on the wrist.
It wasnt too good for him though when he woke to his window being pulled open and a very territorial weresnake coming toward him and almost instantly ripping into him. He hardy stood a chance and there was nothing left in the morning for his enemy's maids or servants to find.

Weresnake of London au : a story request
Pentious's weresnake form ALMOST kills the woman he was courting but luckily he doesn't
Violette was walking her pet corgi when she felt something sneaking up on her. Something large.
Hher corgi pulled from her hold yelping in fear upon looking back seeing the towering snake beast. She notices the beast and made a run for it going a different way than her pooch hoping not to doom the poor thing to the beast.
She ran and ran until cornered, the large weresnake pinned her in place but before it could strike she kissed the beast. Theres a pause then and she blushed a bit,
"I didnt wanna die before I got to kiss a monster... why am I explaining this to you?"
It was then in the Pentious portion of the snakes mind that it was clear she was his lover to be. He couldnt hurt her.
The beast slunk off then and went to go eat someone else, not wanting to screw over the chances to have love.

Pentious buying a pet snake for his birthday
Pentious adored snakes of all sorts, big or small, bright or dull, he just adored snakes. He could almost swear he could speak their language and befriend many.
He saw a beautiful cobra, it was smuggled but damn if it wasn't so lovely and hypnotic he had to have her she was just such a pretty thing.
He bought it for his birthday and set up a whole tank system for it. Violette was a bit freaked out by it but it made him happy so she didn't say anything against it.

How did Violette found out that his husband was a weresnake? I wanna know the story (I think this counts as a story request)
Portion that we didnt see.
Pentious and Violette were getting ready for bed when Pentious suddenly started shifting and changing. Violette freaks out but finds hes pretty chill with her even as a beast since their mates now. Like the two already are set to be married in like a week.
She chases him as he makes it out of the manor trying to keep him from killing more people and protect him. She is now his handler.

Weresnake of London au : a story request
Detectives trying to find some clues of so many murders on London and who's doing it. Pentious's weresnake form kills them all before they were close to find the answers
Our detectives:
Ambrose: Immortal.
Booker: Scribe.
Clement: gentle.
.....
Sir Pentious read in the news about the murders, he also read about the detectives on the case. He read aloud to Violette as she wanted to know what had him so worked up, she couldn't read unfortunately despite her husband-to-be's best efforts.
"Says here, after the recent murders three detectives are on the case to solve who the killer is. Has to be a shifter as we know."
Violette asks curious,
"Well what's the detectives names?"
...
Ambrose, Booker and a Clement were on the scene, collecting some loose snake skins from a shedding. They of course tried to follow the shed skin but it only got blown all over hours ago, untraceable.
They really had no leads to work with, the trio was scrambling for anything on day one, anything to point where to go or what to do. Booker was looked to for any potential ideas, he took note of how the killings seem to be in a general area close by, he thought aloud,
"Maybe..." Booker pondered, "Maybe if we wait till dark and bait it in this general area... Clement would be great bait, hes approachable by any animal he encounters. Surely the this won't be too different, circumstantially."
Clement simply agreed saying,
"Oh that sounds great!"
Ambrose butts in,
"The hell your not going to be bait! Why on Gods green earth would you accept such a stupid plan?? You would sooner die.... if anything I should be bait, I can handle a gun properly. And immortality is my name."
Ambrose was cocky, he always said this nonsense about his name sake knowing damn well his father simply had wishful thinking. Any father would after losing 3 kids to tuberculosis, a refined death but one that hurt nonetheless.
Later on, at 1 am the trio went about the plan.
Ambrose waited hand on hid gun, Clement keeping an eye out behind him and Booker naturally was ready to write any details on the beast if he got a good view or if the beast were slain.
What they didn't expect was Ambrose freezing on the spot when the large beast finally showed up.
Clement tried to pry to gun from his hand,
"LET GO YOU IDIOT!"
It got worse when Violette came running,
"Dont hurt him! Dont shoot! Hes-"
One shot rang out but missed its target entirely getting Clement shot in the chest from tugging the gun. Booker documented this incident and abandoned Ambrose who had only just snapped into reality again.
He threw up and tried to ready the gun with shaking hands but it jammed and the beast was already ripping into him. Violette tried to pull the beast back,
"Honey no! Stop it! Your killing him!"
She pulled him off the victim who had already suffered a punctured lung and intestine. Ambrose bled out with Clement alone together as the beast ran loose going after booker.
Booker was leapt upon in minutes and yet he managed to get one good hit in, a stab to the neck of the beast that yelped and swore. It was then that Booker made the connection to the famous inventor,
"SIR PEN-"
But it was already over, his throat was ripped out and Violette was already trying to get her weresnake husband to the manor before he killed again.

Continuation : Woman he's courting (Violette) explains to Pentious what happened to her at night
Violette busted into Sir Pentious' manor freaked out,
"Pentious! I need to tell you something my love! Its urgent!"
Pentious invited her inside his office, she told him everything she could,
"I-I was cornered by that giant snake creature again, it almost ate me but I... kissed it... it was so weird!"
She looked at his startled face and could almost swear he looked a bit like the beast, she quickly ignored this thought and went right into asking what she could do.
Pentious swallowed a bit nervously,
"Ah well... I'd definitely stop going out at night, clearly your aroma attracts it, what with you being a young woman. You probably smell too good."
This was half true, she did smell delicious with her vanilla and flower perfume she had imported. She clung to her dearest lover, looking into those tired doe eyes he had, it looked like he hardly slept.

Weresnake of London au : story request
Weresnake Pentious kills 5 guys in the street one by one
The large snake beast was loose again, youd think people would stop going outside by now at night but no here we go.
The 5 drunks, completely gigglemugs at the moment, but that would be short lived as one goes down having his head popped like a cherry in the beasts jaws.
The other four ran leading to the chase, one tripped and was subject to his throat being ripped out.
The trio ran and one was pushed as sacrifice and was disemboweled by the beast.
The duo ran and managed to get cornered in the alleyway where one was eaten and the other was forced to watch. It was then the man was alone with the beast who pinned him to the wall, a flicker of awareness kicked in as the beast said,
"I'm sorry.... you ran and I pursued... I didn't wanna kill all of you. But now you know my secret..."
And with that the man was dead and the beast went home like any other night.

Weresnake of London au
A one business man makes fun of Pentious and he (Pentious) starts to get annoyed about it.
One night, his weresnake form kills the business man. There's a news about ripped corpse of business man but Pentious doesn't mind it since he didn't like that business man
The business man was always a shit talker, it hit a point where he proper pushed Sir Pentious to a limit when he insulted the woman he had been courting.
The next night though as Pentious slept his bed he changed forms, like every full moonlight night, one though filled his mind.
That business man needed to die.
The man was on his way home staggering drunk, singing loudly failing to hear the sound of scales on stone. It took one good bite, a few claw slashes and he was torn open having his heart eaten but not much else.
The morning news left Pentious smirking.

More Weresnake!Jacob thoughts for you guys:
While Jacob has control over his tail, he typically likes to leave it hanging and let it drag. This can also create a sense of fear in his enemies when they see the track left behind and think there’s something like a boa slinking around. Though, a big downside is that he has to clean the scales before the dirt gets buried in, otherwise it causes a lot of irritation
Jacob is a fun guy most times but he also has a temper. This is seen most often when he argues with Evie, but when he’s at his angriest, he doesn’t show it, and that’s what makes him dangerous. He really acts like a snake and strikes from the shadows until no one is left, staying completely silent. Pearl and Roth are the only ones to be subject to this anger because of how they’ve wronged him and later, when Henry learns of how those assassinations were different, it unnerves him. He’s not used to Jacob going silent and getting straight to the point (no pun intended) but it makes more sense when he learns about Jacob’s snake side. Still, he can’t help but wonder if the silent kills are entirely a product of the curse or if part of it really is from Jacob himself
Everyone has a unique scent. Since coming to London, Jacob doesn’t really learn the scents from his colleagues because then he has to taste the London air and he hates that. But when they get a chance alone on the train, Evie sees Jacob stick his tongue out and it makes her smile a little, both out of humor and knowing that it doesn’t smell so bad in here for him. And if her smell comforts Jacob after a hard day, then that’s all the better. She also sees him do it sometimes when other people are on the train, just to learn their scents, and it makes her feel better, that Jacob is reaching out in his own way to get to know other people
Jacob is actually more cautious than he appears. Because of his heat-based vision, he always has to double-check that the people he’s after are actually people and not stoves or something. It makes him cautious, despite his reckless nature, and only Evie knows that he’s actually cautious. However, that doesn’t mean he can’t be reckless, such as when going into hot factories to help free children even though he knows perfectly well that his vision is going to be completely shit with helping him. A good side to that, though, is that he can see trains from a distance because of their large heat signature, so he always knows where the train is, as long as it’s in the same borough
Jacob doesn’t like to kiss people. Not because he doesn’t like the kisses but because he’s afraid of making the wrong move. He’s got a venom as a snake, after all, and he doesn’t want to test the theory that his canines can give a venomous bite if he kissed someone wrong. It takes a long while before he realizes that that’s one of the parts of him that doesn’t cross over and it makes him feel better when he finally starts dating people
Evie’s always been by Jacob’s side since they were born and she’s always been there for him. But after they get to London and Henry gets in the picture, Evie and Jacob start pulling away from each other. Jacob knows he doesn’t need his sister, he can take care of himself, but he can’t help but being afraid sometimes, especially during his transformations. It comes up at least once when Evie’s not there to spend the night with him and Jacob knows he needs to grow up because Evie won’t be there forever, but it still hurts and Evie feels incredibly guilty. Jacob tries to figure out other ways of not feeling alone and Evie is torn between her job as a sister and her attraction to Henry
Part of Jacob’s fear of being alone comes from his childhood. There was no chance that Ethan wouldn’t know about Jacob’s snake side and, while Ethan may not say such things aloud, Jacob knew that Ethan didn’t like that part of his son. It was bad enough that Ethan never thought he was good enough (and Jacob had a sneaking suspicion that his father blamed him for the death of the twins’ mother), but Jacob was also pretty sure his father thought of him as a freak. Jacob leaned heavily into that, using his new abilities to push his father away, and tried to ignore the fear of loneliness that was growing inside. He never got over it and it only got worse once the twins moved to London, and Evie probably knows about it pretty well, but they both try to ignore it until it becomes too much for Jacob
Jacob has sharp nails but keeps them trimmed. He doesn’t like having sharp nails, despite his secret nature. He’d prefer to draw blood by blade and not by nails, thanks. He doesn’t want to be reminded of how monstrous he really is, even as his snake side is helpful sometimes
Contrary to Elliotson’s words, Jacob knows consequences. His own life is a consequence after getting bit by a snake. It’s why, instead of Evie, he makes sure to clean up his own messes after the assassinations. It helps clear his head, for one thing, and it helps him feel like he’s doing good after all the trouble he’s caused
Whilst helping Dickens with the Ghost Club, Dickens brings up the rumors of a snake-like beast roaming London as something he wants them to investigate. The twins look at each other, knowing exactly what he’s going on about, and resolve to create their own thing to make it look convincingly fake. Of course, the rumors still persist, what with Jacob still being half snake and all, but as long as the Ghost Club thinks it’s fake, the twins are fine with it

More Weresnake!Jacob thoughts with the Jack the Ripper DLC:
Part of the reason why Jack chooses to strike in the Autumn of 1888 is because he knows Jacob’s secret and knows Jacob will be more sluggish and less alert during that time of year.
Snakes don’t actually hibernate, but they do something similar, called brumation, where they slow down a lot in the cold and sleep for long periods of time. I can’t help but think that Jack causes this on purpose with Jacob by keeping him in the cold, dark basement of Lambeth and only brings warmth around to wake Jacob up and torture him. Jacob’s not used to losing such long expanses of time, even without the torture, and it freaks him out a bit when he has time to process everything.
This might even lead to Jacob keeping a journal, as a way to help him process everything and it allows him to keep track of time so it doesn’t feel like it’s going to slip away from him anymore. He doesn’t want to lose time again because he fell asleep for a long period, and it makes him want to move to warm places for the Winter, just to make sure it doesn’t happen, not to mention the nightmares and insomnia.
Evie’s constantly worried the entire time. Once she realizes who Jack is, she knows immediately that only someone who knew Jacob’s secret would know exactly how to take him out so easily, and so Evie tries to search the darkest and coldest places she knows. This might possibly lead to the confrontation with Jack at Lambeth sooner but I’m not sure.
Because of what happened, Jacob ends up with PTSD and that negatively affects his snake side severely. It’s much less controllable for the longest time, even for Evie, and so that feeds into the awful feelings Jacob has afterward. Eventually he does get back to the same level of control over his snake form as before, but it’s over a decade before that happens.
It doesn’t help that Jacob lost his left eye as well. Combine the lost eye with the PTSD and Jacob, even not as a snake, is on high-alert most times for danger and it is very detrimental to his health. It gets better when Jacob goes with Evie to India to recover, despite his protests, because then he doesn’t have to worry so much about looking around every corner. India is a new place, but it doesn’t hold the fear that London does.
After they go to India, Henry helps as much as he can. He never really got to know Jacob’s snake side and he’s not good with snakes himself, but Jacob is still his friend and brother-in-law. He does what he can to make Jacob feel comfortable and safe and so they kinda have bonding time that they never really had when they first met. They get to know each other well and Jacob’s glad for the comfort Henry brings, because it’s different from Evie’s but it’s still warm and soothing.
Jacob and Evie don’t leave London until they’re sure the Brotherhood is still alive and surviving. It’s several months, maybe even a year, before they leave for India, because Jack caused a lot of damage in the small time he created chaos. Jacob had to make sure what he built up was secure and would protect London and Evie wanted to make sure that not only were the defecting Rooks taken care of, there would be no copycats or false information. There was enough of that to create Jack’s grisly legend in the first place.

New little snippet idea. While I love Werewolves and I can totally see Jacob as one, I raise you a different were-creature: Weresnake!Jacob.
Why? Because I thought it might be nice to have a different were-creature than usual, and I’d also love the antics that would come with it. Sorry for the long post, but here are some of my ideas. Such as:
Evie and Jacob learning to use his venom with their weapons for extra lethal options, among other things. Maybe they even have a dart similar to the hallucinogenic before being introduced to Aleck, and so they have two dart options afterward. They also coat their blades in the venom if they’re planning on quickly making their way towards a target without much fuss, since not much venom is needed to kill someone in a short amount of time, and they don’t have to aim for the vitals to inflict a fatality. Just a small cut and go, and no one is the wiser.
Evie being a snake expert, because she has to be one if she wants to deal with her twin while he’s half snake. And Henry doesn’t know what to think of it when she handles poisonous Indian snakes so easily, even ones given as gifts to Maharaja Singh. Like, he’s trying not to assume, but she’s an Englishwoman from the London countryside. There’s only one poisonous snake in England and its bite isn’t that dangerous to people. Unless she’s a snake fanatic or something, Henry finds it a bit suspicious that she gets along with Indian snakes so well.
Jacob kinda forcing a slight change sometimes to bring out his eyes or scales. The scales to provide some extra protection, and the eyes freak people out. Jacob loves messing with his enemies especially with his eyes. They don’t know what to make of it, they let their guard down, and Jacob takes advantage. He also ‘scales up’ at least once to protect Evie from blows, even if she can take care of herself, but it still holds an impact between them.
Jacob has more than just the bird tattoo. He also has a snake one curling around his right forearm, where he was bitten as a child. He survived, but the snake bite left a lasting impact, i.e. the curse. As soon as he was old enough, he got both tattoos: The Rook for his caged freedom, and the Adder for his other side that he wishes he didn’t have but he celebrates anyway because it’s still a part of him and it’s helpful.
Jacob doesn’t have Eagle Vision like Evie, not anymore. His vision relies more on heat, so it’s harder for him to pick out people in a hot place, such as with a chimney. He also has a terrible sense of smell unless he sticks his tongue out, but since that’s gross, he disguises to gesture as part of his teasing, childish nature. But with all the stink in London, Jacob finds he’s glad for his bad sense of smell.
Evie keeps a box of little treasures she’s gathered over the years, and one of the things in there are a few reptile scales. They’re large, dark brown, and stiff, about the size of golfballs, and they represent Jacob’s first transformation. Henry sees them one time, maybe while he and Evie are doing the flower pressing, and he asks about them. Evie kinda closes off a little, calls it a private matter, and Henry lets it go. He’s still curious about whatever was big enough to make those scales but he knows better than to push on something Evie is uncomfortable with at this point in time.
Henry doesn’t learn that Jacob is part snake until shortly before the confrontation with Starrick. I like to play the sections in order, so my thought is that Jacob just finished up with Roth by the time Section 9 starts, which is why he’s so angry when he meets up with Evie and why they have such a big fight. Henry calms Evie down while Jacob’s away and so the twins have a chance to talk and apologize before the evening with Starrick and Jacob lets it slip that Roth figured out his secret. This makes Henry curious but when Evie asks him to leave, he does so and the twins discuss it. It doesn’t come up again until they realize that Starrick’s plan was going to happen on a full moon night and so Henry had to take Jacob’s place. Evie does a quick explanation why Henry had to sub in and only explains the whole thing after, and Henry is left with many more questions than answers.
Evie and Jacob are lucky to get the train before the first full moon, because they couldn’t find a good place for Jacob to stay for those nights. But once they have the train, they take an old abandoned cattle car and outfit it with locks and so he has that for his nights. Evie usually joins him and reads by candlelight because she knows he hates being alone those nights.
Jacob loves to fight but has to learn to control himself so he doesn’t accidentally rip off anyone’s arm or something during the illegal fighting matches. Still, it impresses the Rooks and they want to learn to fight like him and it does things to Jacob’s ego like nothing else. He does teach them easier moves, though, because they don’t have the supernatural strength like he does and so can’t do the same things. On the other hand, when someone really pisses him off (i.e. Pearl and Roth) Jacob doesn’t hold back.
Nobody really figures out Jacob has a snake side until Roth, who makes a point of it to know everything about his enemies. And sure, it’s very hard to figure out, especially with next to no information mentioning anything weird about Jacob’s past, but Roth manages to stumble across what he thinks is the truth by the time Jacob comes to kill him. He’s not right, but he’s close, and it terrifies Jacob a bit, to the point where he shows his snake eyes unintentionally and hisses before he kills Roth, with this being Jacob’s final line:
“You don’t know me as I really am, and you never will.”
However, some of Roth’s findings get passed onto Starrick, who tries to find a way to fit that to his advantage, and he does by preparing to grab the Shroud the same night as the full moon. Jacob’s basically taken out of the fight immediately in Evie’s point of view because of that but Jacob knows the importance of the Shroud and insists going along anyway. Henry, however, has to take Jacob’s place in escorting Evie to the event and so they get a chance to dance a little before swinging into action.
Eventually, they track Starrick to the tomb and it’s Jacob who comes to the rescue, but in his snake form, where he manages to bite through the Shroud and poison Starrick. It’s my thought that supernatural things cancel each other out in the AC universe, so while Starrick doesn’t die from the poison, the Shroud can’t heal any of the other injuries he sustains because it’s still trying to deal with the wounds Jacob made. Evie and Henry work together to kill Starrick and once he’s dead, Evie has to calm Jacob down and they get him out of the tomb in time for the sunrise, where they have to find him some clothes before they come across the Queen, leading to their knighthood.
Later, Henry asks Evie why they didn’t take the Shroud with them to possibly help Jacob. Because, if it can heal wounds, why not fix a curse? And Evie shakes her head, pointing out several things. 1) The Shroud was too much for any one person to use, certainly not for selfish reasons, 2) The cancellation of the Shroud and Jacob’s poison was a sign that maybe the Shroud wouldn’t help much, and 3) Jacob was fine with his snake side, so there was no reason to change the status quo. In fact, if Jacob hadn’t bitten Starrick, they may have lost the fight. So, in a way, they owe a bit of a debt to the Adder, and Henry can’t fault that, nor can he fault any of the other reasons. That doesn’t mean he can’t speculate, though.
