gods i forgot how good it felt to leave a comment on a fic. such a shame that anxiety stopped me from commenting on fics for so many years even though 1. i used to be an avid commented years ago. the type that would comment on every chapter even if the fic was already multiple chapters along when i first found it.; and 2. im a writer so i've KNOWN how motivating receiving comments is and how happy they make me.
but yeah. i've been trying to go back to leaving comments more often, and it's so much fun. getting to ramble abt everything that i like about it and/or the source material, receiving replies that can get as long-winded as my original comment, or even the short replies to my own short comments. i dunno, it's all so fun and fulfilling.
anyway. tl;dr: commenting is fun (you get to geek out about stuff you love) and can put a smile on someone's face. win-win situation.
