Cause thought provoking sci-fi with female cast that's actually good doesn't sound as neat as "GoOdBuRgEr, bUt WiTh WoMan?!" on a buzzfeed article.

every few months there has been a “new all female cast” kind of film that is “empowering and progressive toward women” and they have all be hot garbage (GhostBusters, Wrinkle in time)  but when a movie like Annihilation comes out with a strong, all female cast, one of them being lesbian, and 3 of them being scientists, and all 4 of them kicking serious fucking ass, along side social commentary on mental health, and not one of them being sexualized, no one talks about it, and it bombs at the box office. 

why the fuck aint people talking about Annihilation
