Sydney Scroungers Liveblog - Session One

Okay, so welcome back to my Sydney Scroungers liveblog! (It totally hasn't been three months since the first one...)  This time I'll be starting "Act 1: Shakedown" in Session #1.

okay so this is the Southern Hemisphere so February is the middle of summer... That just feels weird

building a Wall to keep the Kaiju out? (or rather "in" the Pacific?) that just doesn't feel feasible to me..

Sydney Scroungers Liveblog - Prologue: Sylvie Mansen

Okay, so I'm finally reading Sydney Scroungers, which is a literary re-working of a RP Campaign being run by some very awesome people in the cosmere fandom.  (Seriously you should read all about it here)

Oh wow, 2019 is a lot more near future than I was expecting.

And woo! June 14 day before my birthday!

okay so she's definitely not supposed to be doing what she's doing but like really who can blame her nobody's using it

ooh  finally get to meet Syl-V, who I've heard so much about

what's the difference between drift memories and actual ones? what makes the actual memories "actual"?

somehow I doubt that merging will be as seamless as you say Sylvie

a little freaky seeing the AI's acting computer-y instead of human-y like they were a little bit ago

okay what's the memory? and do the AI's have it as well, is that why they are asking the question, because she herself would be asking herself the same thing?

"indescribable wordless communication" the "you/we" is just so right, like not a perfect descriptor of what V2 is saying but good enough for us to get an idea

Oh, yah V2 and V1 definitely won't be synced after this, i'm betting V2 is going to have major errors in her programming

So, some thoughts in review.  I like it, though I still don't really everything, but I'm sure I'll pick stuff up soon enough. Can't wait to continue reading!
