Ryan sucks a breath through his teeth, a seething inhale. "I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Halloween... It's definitely foundational, though."

   “I find Last House on the Left and Halloween most favorable myself!” Sonia beamed, “Though The Thing is a cult classic of course.”

" — Oh. Yeah. The Thing is pretty cool." It is, in fact, his favorite movie; and he does, in fact, have a tattoo about it. "How about you?"

Confused as they all were, it seems; The proper and least weird reaction he’s been greeted by. “Right, and now the little dude’s nowhere to be found. But you’re here, at least.” As if any of those words actually meant anything, Dhrish still continues to speak with anxiety free confidence. For now. “This—” Hands gesture around with a flourish, “is a place to rest. Temporary for several, permanent for a handful— could be either for you. Who’s to say?”

“So!” There comes a loud clap before his hands rub together. “What’s your name, friend?”

There's something familiar about the place. Maybe it's the old wood. Maybe the layout fills the shape of places he's seen or been before, or he's just inclined to feel mystical about this place because he had been led here by an animal with glowing eyes, like the first steps on the path to an incongruous Ghibli dreamland.

But so far it seems mundane enough. He looks at the person who has just come to greet him. "Uh—" Ryan answers, brow furrowing. "I... sorry, I just followed an animal here? I don't actually know.... what this place is."
