BLUE SUNSHINE (1978) Love this film! Even if others think it's wack. Such a strange story, & it's perfectly '70s. Good horror, some sociopolitical intrigue, a thriller-style plot. Huge fan of Jeff Liberman as a director— JUST BEFORE DAWN (1981) is another favourite, & an underrated slasher. BLUE SUNSHINE is stranger in certain ways. Yes! My normal dye colour is a dark red with a violet undertone or some variation of the sort. In college i dyed it various colours on the bottom and a few parts of my bangs. I did green, blue, teal, and purple in the past.

🎥 Today's crafting is brought to you by the movies: The Scary of Sixty-First (2021) 🪞 Hagazussa (2017) 🧙‍♀️ and the WIP: Crochet Baphomet 🧶 (yes, again - I'm on my second one 😅) I don't want to lie - I really didn't enjoy The Scary of Sixty-First. It was like watching a news story about Ghislaine Maxwell, (the story is inexplicably set around Epstein...), then deciding to watch a mash up of Suspiria, Possession (1981), and Eyes Wide Shut, after having taken LSD and drinking some shroom tea to wash it all down. It's the sort of movie that probably would have been banned in the 70s and 80s, and never discovered again. Ever. I have exceedingly low expectations most of the time, and even that didn't help this movie 😆 Feel free to make your own judgement on it though... 😅 Hagazussa (2017) was excellent. "Sex equals death". The influence of this trope, and it's roots in Italian horror and catholic influence, are really interesting to read about though."Token minority character(s) die(s) first/most brutally" is another one. And idk if this is exactly a trope, but the "person without mental illness is committed to a hospital and surrounded by 'scary crazy people' " trope, where all the horror comes from being surrounded by people with mental illnesses, is :/ to me.I'm not saying any movie that has any of these tropes in it is automatically a bad movie, plenty of good ones do, but, these tropes are tiring for me.
