so what would the pre-assemby backstories of the interns be

djsjdj i also assume you mean in psychoswap. now, i was gonna save this for when i posted their refs, but since thats taking a hot second, i think ill just answer it here.

Norma had always really leaned into the "good twin bad twin" trope, especially as a little kid. Everyone thought she was the "good" twin, which usually let her get away with the tricks she would pull. As she got older, she got more curious about what exactly her psychic powers were and how they worked. So she became a researcher! She was a small team of one, which she was happy with. But only at first. After finding Green Needle Gulch and its large deposit of psitanium, she decided maybe she could use some help. And who better to ask first but her sister, Lizzie Natividad.

Lizzie was an artist. She didn't really care about the whole "good twin bad twin" Norma wad fixated on for awhile, which usually ended up with people thinking she was the bad twin. Especially after her style became more "alternative." But as I mentioned before, she was an artist. Painting, drawing, but especially sculpting. Her art pieces never had deeper meanings though. Instead, it was just "i dunno. i thought it would look cool." And it did look cool! When she got a letter from her sister asking her to join, she said why not? So now they were a team of two. Until Lizzie reached out and found Razputin Aquato.

Raz had recently come to the US from Grulovia. He was part of a circus with his four siblings, but had ran away. He wanted to do more with his life, and he especially didn't want to stay when there was a war happening. Lizzie found him first and noticed he was skilled with hydrokinesis! And Lizzie was getting tired of how slow the process of mining psitanium was, so recruited him to help. Raz and Norma didn't hit it off at first, fire and water don't really mix after all. But eventually they did become friends.

Next was Adam. After his mom died, he lived with just his dad for awhile. After growing up, he became a traveler, having been all around the world to record its history and things like that. Then he heard about this little group of researches in the woods, and decided to check it out. Which then led to him joining their team! He did kinda barge in unannounced, but they liked him enough for him to be a part of the group. He and Lizzie became close friends quickly.

After Adam was Gisu. Honestly she probably invented the skateboard. But after the wheels broke off mid-skating, she discovered her psychic powers when lev balls appeared underneath instead. So as she grew up, she combined her psychic powers with her love of inventing and skateboarding! She had made a name for herself because of her inventions. She had even sold a few of them. But unfortunately. One day there was a really bad malfunction with one which caused a ton of property damage and maybe even a few deaths, so she got sent to jail. That's when Norma found her, and decided to recruit her.

Sam could best be described as a weird horse girl. But one who could actually talk to the horses. Her parents thought it was a phase she would grow out of, but she never did grow out of the "talking to the horses" part. Which then expanded to talking to all of the animals. Sam could always get even the most temperamental horse to listen to her. Her favorite thing to do was to make little movies with all of the animals. Which she was probably forcing them to be in, on purpose or not. Somehow, Adam heard about her, and was able to recruit her as well.

Morris loved music, and he loved radio shows. So when he was ten years old, he decided he was going to grow up and make a radio show himself! And that he did! His radio show became very popular, which was how Adam heard about him. After some letters back and forth, Morris moved to the Gulch and joined the team that was now seven.

This is just the basics. I may come up with more ideas but I'll have to decide on what their family and other things were like too. I'm always up for ideas from others too!

Siblings: adoptive sister Celeste Darkthorn

Friends: Celeste Darkthorn,Ickis,Razputin Aquato,Lilli Zantto,Sasha Nein,   Milla Vodello,Ford Cruller,Coach Oleander(sometimes),Dr Caligosto loboto (though he thinks he’s weird) and most of the campers.

Enemies: The Institute,The psi cult and anyone who tries to hurt his little sister.

Likes: Likes to help others in need, making sure Celeste is safe,riding his Psi cycle,hanging around with Raz and Lilli,keeping an eye on Dr loboto cause he’s not sure of him yet,playing with Ickis,training the Sasha Nein,going on his laptop and reading all kinds of books to learn about the unknown and supernatural.

Dislikes: The Institute,The psi cult,seeing Celeste getting hurt,Celeste causing trouble and he has to get her and himself out of it,Ickis biting him,Ickis making snarky remarks about him,fleas and dog whistles.

Abilities: Can use most psychic powers that and normal psychic can use,can turn into a werewolf (though keeps it a secret except to Celeste and Ickis),computer hacker,can ride a psi cycle,knows martial arts and can talk out of situations.

Personality: can be a little prideful, smart, very protective,kindhearted,opportunist,can be serious if in a dangerous situation,can be stupid at the worst of time,likes to act cool to girls but fails,a nerd,can be overconfident,problem solver,likes to plan ahead and can be afraid for his sisters life.

Backstory: Victor Darkthorn was born a psychic he got his gift from his mother who was a spiritual psychic(a type of psychic that can see,hear and talk to the dead) he was able to use his gifts when he turned five years old.Victor’s family were a group of werewolf hunters they hunted the beasts to extinction however as their motto says “one can never be to careful when wolves are about” so Victor’s parents taught him everything about werewolves and things to use to fight them.How he got his powers to turn into a werewolf is for another time.

When Victor was ten years old his parents adopted their old family friends only daughter Celeste after her parents were killed in an explosion caused by her psychic powers.When she arrived she was very quiet and traumatised from the event sensing this he used his powers to get her to smile and smile she did Celeste then used her powers to lift Victor’s fathers car in the air this made Victor realise that his sister was very powerful and vulnerable that he vowed to protect her at all times.Victor and Celeste grew up together learning their abilities and secrets about each other though he never knew why she would go quiet when he asked if she had any friends back where she lived it always ed made her sad When she did finally tell him she told him she had a best friend who she cared about and said that he had psychic powers as well however she told Victor what had happened to him and she was sad because she is unable to psychically link with anymore and she hope to see him again.When Victor turned sixteen years old he learned to master his psychic powers and his other ability without problems though he wished he had actual training from the psychonauts the group of psychics he wished meet in person and learn from them and become a psychonaut when he told Celeste about she wanted to join him.On Celeste sixteenth birthday they were both about tell Victor’s parents of their wish however they were both then captured by soldiers who worked for the Institute and took them away to the island base were they forced to be trained as weapons.

However both Victor and Celeste along with Ickis managed to escape the The Institute when Albedo and his psi cult rebelled against the Institute. they escaped but not before trapping the psi cult within the force field barrier of the island that prevented psychics to escape.When the trio made it to the mainland they decided to go into hiding until the time is right,Years later they would used their powers to get the psychonauts attention and they would finally meet Raz,Lilli, Sasha and Milla in the city of Rome.

I will do Victor’s werewolf backstory promise but for now enjoy!
