WeightUp Wednesday #6

I teach Kids Fitness twice a week at YMCA East.

It's a 45 minute class for kids from ages 4-8 to come and be active.

We play warm-up, all the fun games that have them moving without realizing they're exercising. Tag, Red Rover, Ships Across the Ocean, etc.

I'll also offer a "Free Day" when I bring out scooters, jump ropes, hula hoops and other equipment. It's all followed by a cool down and stretch.

Through it all, the kids are learning about fitness.

They also teach me a few things, and we have a great time!

So, if you're wanting to get to the gym and have kids that tend to get bored and lazy, bring them into the nearest YMCA to be apart of the Kids Fitness class.

You get a break, and an opportunity to do something for yourself. And so do they.
