Disaat sesi sudah mau ditutup, ada satu pertanyaan dari mentee kami “Kak, kalau hapfam tujuannya adalah melahirkan orang2 yang bisa membuat usaha sosial / organisasi sosial, apa hubungannya materi mengenal diri kaya river of life dan lain-lain dengan tujuan hapfam?”

Pertanyaan yang cukup menggelitik. Mentoring Hapfam ini memang menarik, karena mentornya adalah kami berdua - saya dan suami - jadi kami bisa berbagi perspektif dalam satu sesi. Suamiku menjelaskan mengenai self awareness, sebelum melakukan sesuatu untuk orang lain. Along the way suamiku ngomong aku sambil mikir juga dan tiba-tiba dapat contoh nyata yg bisa jadi gambaran pas untuk adik-adik.

Tadi kak mogi cerita kan ya, tentang usaha yang ia bangun dengan teman2nya, namanya Farmee. Nah sebenernya sadar gak sadar, pertanian itu ada di rekan jejak - pengalaman - masa lalu Kak Mogi, sehingga ia pun tertarik kepada dunia pertanian karena ia sudah terpapar dunia pertanian sejak kecil. Orangtuanya punya kebun bunga di puncak, tahun 90an kak mogi sering banget bolak-balik kesana. Itulah juga mgkn kenapa kak mogi, masuk ke pertanian, concern sama food waste, etc

Nah tapi buatku yang dari kecil gak pernah terpapar pertanian, aku gak relate. Mana pernah aku kepikiran pertanian. Hal yang aku gak paham sama sekali. Pengalamanku dari kecil adalah rumah sakit. Aku sakit-sakita dan bolaaak-balik rumah sakit sampe bosen. Sehingga, referensiku adalah hal yang terkait dengan kesehatan, dan itu juga yg membawaku akhirnya ngambil jurusan keperawatan dan juga punya gerakan sosial di kesehatan - sanitasi untuk peningkatan kesehatan.

Jadi, kalau ditanya apa hubungan mengenal diri dengan mendirikan usaha / gerakan sosial, tentu sangat erat sekali :) dari mengenal diri kita mungkin bisa menemukan “panggilan” kita yang biasanya erat sama masa lalu atau pengalaman yang pernah kita alami. Jadi, bukan sekadar teori tentang bagaimana mendirikan usaha / organisasi sosial saja yg kita butuhkan, tapi juga tentang “The Why” atau “Calling” itu juga yang kita butuhkan.
