Rose hated school. She was the new girl, she was quiet, and didn’t fit in. Very cliche. She didn’t speak to anyone, clearly not interested in making friends. She didn’t pay attention to her teachers, or there lessons, to which she ignored.

In most lessons, Rose would zone out and stared into space, not saying a word. Science in particular was her worst subject, so she was partnered with a ‘science buddy’, and didn’t even know his name. He was doing most of the work as usual as Rose rested her chin in her hand, staring into space, jumping when she was nudged.

"You've just claimed yourself an hours detention with me after school. Thanks to the no fucking effort that you put in at all, we now have to do it all again." He frowned, having stopped her in the corridor. Owen was not in the slightest bit happy, clearly.

The after school detention hadn't come any slower and much to his disgrace, Owen made his way into the classroom dragging his backpack on one shoulder behind him. He didn't particulary wish to do thid again and hoped that Rose would contribute this time so that they could get the hell out of there.
