Here’s your weekly headcanon!!!
Imagine the Vrains gang playing Mario Kart. Absolute chaos.
Ai is that one person who always picks rainbow road just to see everyone suffer as he cackles evily. Yusaku is terrible at the game, which really surprises everyone at first. Theodore doesn’t even know how to play, he crashes into EVERYTHING. Skye is amazing at it, besides Link Vrains she’s just a gamer in general, the Nintendo switch is probably hers. Ryoken, Miyu, and Kiku are also pretty good, most of the actual competition is between them and Skye, Yusaku and Theodore just fall of the road a lot and usually end up in like last place 😂
Fr, so True bestie.
Ai is destroying relationships with that game, but at least it ain't Mario Party.
Theodore is learning the controls, but most od it is just bumping at the wall.
Yusaku is this close to smashing the controler, but he doesn't because A. It is owned by Skye and B. He is broke.
Kolter is the True Winner as no one can stop him in that game, but Skye is a close 2nd.
Ryoken has only played it once mainly because he was too busy Being a leader, but now he is trying to do decently and comes in 3rd or 4th.
Kiku and Miyu are decent.
Skye is the Playmaker of Mario Kart and she kind of develops a God Complex any time she plays that game as only one person in the country could stop her in that game.

Dear Vrains Fandom, I’m tired
I want to start somewhat positive and say that this fandom is great in so many ways. Following people’s thoughts and headcanons and speculations, reading fanfics and indulging in fanart, reacting over the weekly episodes together, is such a nice thing to do and be a part of.
We also seem to be having a sort of fissure when it comes to two things:
Datastormshipping/the relationship between Yuusaku and Ryouken
Ryouken/Revolver himself.
I can’t say that this has been going on ever since the series began but it has been happening ever since season 2 started, and gotten worse for every episode. Every time Ryouken has made an appearance, no matter how brief, there has always been posts where the op has stated just how unexcited they are about it, that the fandom is annoying and obnoxious for being happy about “literally anything”, and that datastormshipping is a terribly unhealthy pairing that no one should ship, etc. More than once has the question “am I the only one who doesn’t like datastormshipping/Revolver?” been posted in the tags, causing reactions from shippers as well as non-shippers and arguments between those groups, especially when the negative posts end up in the shipping tag.
And this constantly reoccurring drama is pointless in every single way and I’m getting tired of seeing it happen over and over and over again.
I see people being frustrated with all the datastorm/Ryouken-content that erupts after an episode where there’s been a “moment”, and that’s totally reasonable. If your interest is in something completely different then why wouldn’t you be annoyed when all you see is content you don’t want? It’s understandable and nothing surprising.
But, under no circumstances, does that give anyone the right to let that frustration turn into salty passive-aggressive venting posts.
“Am I not allowed to voice my opinions anymore?”
Of course you’re allowed to voice your opinions and no one should try and tell you otherwise! But what people haven’t seemed to realize in these specific cases is that there are times, places and words for everything, and depending on the purpose of the posts, they have different consequences.
Letting frustrated thoughts like “gaah does these datastormshippers/Ryouken-fans have to be everywhere? I’m tired of seeing this content all the time, do they even care about anything else?” turn into venting posts with little to no difference in wording might be an outlet for you and people who feel the same way. But the feelings you inject in datastormshippers/Ryouken-fans will not be pleasant ones. The only thing you do is make them feel ashamed for upsetting people with something they love and are excited about, being ashamed of talking about it too much (and every amount feels to be too much), and ashamed for existing overall.
Making vent posts about how obnoxious the fanbase is for just having fun is not sharing an opinion, it’s bullying. When it has come so far that we have datastormshippers being ashamed of voicing their love, or even admit that they ship Yuusaku and Ryouken, we have a serious problem. And vent posts are not the same thing as criticism.
“I’m not trying to make people stop shipping it, that’s not my purpose! I don’t hate the ship/character, I’m just tired of seeing content with it!”
A valid feeling, especially if there’s little to no content for the things you love, and you get little to no response for your own content featuring the things you love.
You all have to realize though that when this is worded poorly, the shippers/fans will feel attacked because they will never be able to do this right. It’ll only turn into a sad circle where shippers/fans feel restricted and hesitate to share their love, which in many cases will turn into frustration over not being allowed to express their love together.
Sit down and think for a moment, what is it that you want? More content about everything else that doesn’t circulate around datastormshipping and Ryouken? That’s understandable. Do you want datastormshippers/Ryouken-fans to produce less content? Do you perhaps want fewer shippers/fans? Do you want the shippers/fans to stop loving datastorm and/or Ryouken altogether? No?
Then why are you voicing your “opinion” if it’s only gonna come out as bullying and rudeness?
“I’m not bullying anyone!”
Yes, you are if you keep on making people feel bad and upset when they do absolutely nothing but being happy and produce content from that happiness. If you don’t want to be a bully, then think another time about how you say something, or if you should say something at all. And if you get called out, be responsible and apologise. Passive-aggressiveness is bullying when it’s aimed towards people.
There are lots of easy ways to get along in the fandom without this drama happening over and over.
For all datastormshippers, tag your content. I haven’t really seen any misses in that regard but be aware of it. Blacklisting is there for a reason and it’s a wonderful feature for everyone when tagging is used correctly. “Agree to disagree” is great when people have their own happy corners to stay, so don’t invade others’ with content they don’t want to take part in.
Speaking of that, and one would think that it should be common knowledge but I’ll say it anyway: hate/vent posts where the op states how they don’t like datastormshipping/Ryouken do not belong in the datastormshipping tag. It’s a tag specifically for datastormshippers and non-shippers have no business in it. In fact, those posts don’t belong in the main tags either. Why? Because negativity does nothing but ruins the mood completely. The mindset “if I’m not happy then no one else should be either” is harmful to everyone and is not how fandom works, or should work.
This is also very specific, but if you’ve made yourself known for being a disliker of datastormshipping, the most popular ship in Vrains, or a disliker of Ryouken, one of the most popular characters, or even worse; a disliker of the shippers and/or fans, everyone but people sharing your mindset will hesitate to some level to interact with you. The “agree to disagree” mindset will then fall flat completely since it doesn’t seem to be about the ship or character, but rather the shippers or fans. And you’ll feel even more alone.
It’s not rude to not like datastormshipping and/or Ryouken, and there are very few people who think that. It is rude, however, to try and change people’s opinions when they’ve very deliberately (and politely) explained why they like something. And being called out for that is not hate-attacks. Be responsible and think about how you say things, or if you should say things and where those words belong, and if you hurt people, apologise.
In all honesty, is getting upset about how popular a ship/character is really worth the time and energy? I know the frustration when content barely exists (I do love less popular characters myself and I have rarepairs as well), but I rather spend the energy producing and trying to find content for what I love than being upset with things I don’t like. Life gets funnier that way, and isn’t that something we all want? Fun?
This is getting long enough, so I’m adding a few last things:
- Datastormshipping does not, and has never, qualified for being a case of Stockholm Syndrome, and it’s a term that shouldn’t be thrown around lightly. Stop people.
- Every character in Vrains, or the whole YGO-franchise, can be as deep or as shallow as you want them to be, it all depends on your own attitude.
- A bad attitude doesn’t belong in any of the tags, and if you still put it there, you have to realize that there will be a backlash for spreading that bad attitude around when people just want to have fun.
And with this wall of text, I’m letting Yuusaku end the post:
#ygo vrains#vrains#yugioh vrains#long post#I'm not angry#I'm just tired#enough is enough people#I know I've already used that pic but I don't care

Here’s that headcanon I owe you from yesterday 😅:
Alright so at the end of Vrains, when Theodore is taking Kiku to Link Vrains, they see Blue Angel there, and both Kiku is fangirling, Teddy is fanboying. Skye sees that Soulburner is with a girl, and of course she teases him asking if that’s his girlfriend, and Teddy is like “well actually she is :D”
And Skye is like awww that’s so cuteeee!!!! Then she asks them if they want to duel her, just for fun. They accept the challenge, but Kiku doesn’t really know how to ride a duel board yet, so her and Teddy are dueling together. It’s kinda like how Jack and Carly duel Trudge in that one episode. Kiku will draw for Theodore and stuff, while he has an arm wrapped around her waist and together they discuss what to do.
It’s a really fun duel, and afterwards they stay and talk a little, Skye and Kiku become fast friends and they even exchange um whatever Yugioh discord equivalent thing 🤣
Ahh yes, before a shocking revelation.
God, I am imagining Soulburner with his arm raised for the duel disk, having Kiku's deck inside of his duel disk as she is wrapped around his arms having her cards in her hands trying her absolute hardest not to fall off the board. You just know that everyone else is taking pics of those two, including Skye.
Discord is the same in Yugioh. i pressume

Hey uh, I got a delivery for a kcuf-ad. That you?
Oh great! *hands you your package* it’s kinda heavy, their must be a lot of words in here! Well, enjoy!
Ooo look at that, it’s your weekly headcanons!!!
Miyu likes to drag Ryoken to the mall with her. And she really does drag him around, like she’ll take his hand and he just follows wherever she wants to go. He’ll carry all her bags for her, and buy her whatever she likes (until she hits him for buying her too many things and then he is forced to let her pay for some stuff herself) and Ryoken doesn’t mind at all. He doesn’t even get bored when they go into really girly stores, he’s just happy to be with the girl he loves. Miyu also tries to convince him to buy more fun clothes cuz his wardrobe is a little boring 🤣. They also always get something to eat there, and Miyu likes to feed Ryoken because she likes to be silly.
Skye really likes cuddling with Yusaku and either they’ll play video games together, or watch a movie, or just talk, or there was one time where Skye made a playlist just for Yusaku and they shared a pair of headphones and just snuggled while listening to it. They do go out, but the little introverts like staying home more often. Yusaku does start to get used to the affection though. Throughout their time cuddling, they will randomly give each other kisses. Skye gives kisses more often, but Yusaku will occasionally kiss her which makes her so happy that he is getting more comfortable with her(and she generally just loves his kisses).
Theodore and Kiku like going on walks together. They hold hands the entire time, as they talk and laugh. One time they get caught in the rain, and Kiku is like omg let’s run back inside so we don’t get wet. And Theodore is like no way, let’s dance! So the two end up dancing together in the rain, getting completely soaked, but also having the time of their lives. After they go back inside and get dry they’ll cuddle together.
Hmm? Oh why yes I am, kcuf-ad *signs my name and grabs the package*, let's see what we have here? *opens it* Oh, this is interesting.
Yes, absolutely Ryoken is the type of man to hold his girl's packages and we love him for it and he even pays for it, even paying a little when Miyu isn't looking so she doesn't pay too much. He has like... 1 different shirt that is somewhat different from the others, but he never wears it. You are so true about her feeding him. Miyu has almost all of Ryoken's jackets and pretends that she doesn't know what he is talking about. Same with the other two.
Yusaku and Skye are basically cats, if you replace bath with outside. My favourite idea of what kind of movie they watch are old Disney movies, you know the good ones? Like the Lion King, Little Mermaid, Mulan and more. But occasionally they do watch some new movies like the best movie of all time known as Thor Ragnarok.
Yes, they do dance in the rain, but tommorrow they are sick as puppies and they are forced to be in their bed. Poor Flame, he has to look after those two.

Your weekly headcanons!! ⋆˚✿˖° ˖⁺‧₊˚ ♡ ˚₊‧⁺˖ ⋆˚✿˖°
Theodore and Kiku call each other every term of endearment you can think of. Especially the really cheesy ones. You’ll often hear them call each other things like pumpkin, honey, babe, cupcake, just everything. Canonically, Kiku does call him Teddy, and I’m just gonna add on to that and say that she also calls him her Teddy bear, because he’s so cuddly! Sometimes when they’re out in public people get annoyed because they’re so lovey dovey with each other.
As for Yusaku and Skye, they often just call each other by their real names. Yusaku is SOOOO shy, he maybe tries to call her something cute like once, and then just dies of embarrassment. Skye is also pretty shy, but if Yusaku is having a bad day, she tries to be extra sweet with him, and she calls him things like love, or sweetheart. Nothing too silly or cheesy, just the more normal ones I guess lol. Oh but in Link Vrains? She does not shy away AT ALL. She’s not as bad as Theodore and Kiku, but she’s getting there 😂. It’s easier than calling him Playmaker all the time online though LOL. Also when they’re alone, Skye will call Yusaku babygirl when they’re alone. Yusaku always gets hilariously flustered.
As for Ryoken and Miyu, I don’t think Ryoken would really be the type to use terms of endearment that often, but perhaps he calls her darling, or love everyone once in a while. Miyu likes to call him silly and cheesy things like honey bunny, and cuddle bug. Ryoken’s reputation is really going down the drain thanks for his girlfriend being very sweet with him all the time.
Hehe, Nice to get one of them for a change.
Yes, absolutely. Teddy Will absolutely be the one to call Kiku every single terms of enderment on the planet and once he runs out of them, he Will make brand New ones. Kiku is as bad as him if not worse, sometimes words that don't make no sense. Also only she can call him Teddy Bear, anyone else is getting smacked.
Yusaku Will turn to the corner red tomato while calling Skye dear once, while Skye is equally shy. She is competiting with them actually to see who can call their lover the most amount of terms of enderment.
Absolutely. One day in the future where Ryoken set up a very successful buissness, he is on a meeting and sees his phone ring, then says 'Sorry my wife is calling me" and then on speaker hear the most adorable sounding terms of enderment ever spoken as the buissness man tries not to laugh about it.
