Most people will tell you that giving your pets any kind of medication in pill form is an absolute nightmare, meanwhile I have the exact opposite problem.

A friend of mine was watching my cat Mim while I was travelling this weekend and when he went to split her weekly allergy pill (made to split into 4 small pills when you press down on it with a finger) to give her the usual 1/4, he fumbled it and sent it skittering across the floor where my ridiculous pill-loving menace of cat immediately gobbled down the whole thing, leading to me receiving a panicked phone call at 11 pm from said friend who was understandably freaking out (everyone’s fine, a single high dose won’t cause any problems as long as it’s just this once).

Behold: the villain herself, basking in the success of her crime (she’d be planning her next pill-related heist but, as you can see if you look closely, there’s there’s nothing but elevator music behind those eyes)

#cecil blogs her life #Mim the cat #cats of tumblr #black cats #we were just settling down for sleep when he called too and I was SO confused bc I’d prepared the pills beforehand so for a moment #I thought he might have grabbed the calming pills she gets for new years that she also gets 1/4 of so I was almost #freaking out right alongside of him but thankfully it was the allergy pills #he just hadn’t seen the little plastic thing I’d put out with them inside #it was actually both him and his gf cat sitting so they kept and extra close eye on her and spent even more time with her the rest of the #weekend - and Mim who’s a total attention hog just lapped it all up #pretty sure she thought it was a reward lmao

Hey there, fabulous fur-friends! 🐾

Ahhh, Saturday bliss in full swing. I’m soaking up that autumn sun, lounging on my favorite spot in the cat tree by the window. 🍂☀️ It’s the perfect time to catch some weekend zzz’s, you know, after all the excitement this week!

From wild mouse-chasing (I still hold the title for best moves 🕺) to sharing my cozy blue bed with the tiny human Ida, to floor-rolling and giving my human some headbump love, it’s been an adventure-packed few days. 😻

Now, it’s time to recharge my whiskers and dream about what’s coming next. I’ve got big plans, but right now, I’m letting the sunshine do its magic and sleeping right into this beautiful weekend. 😴

But don’t worry, I’m just resting up, storing energy for next week’s excitement. Who knows what adventures await? Stay tuned, my fur-friends—you know the adventure is always just a nap away! 😸

#so i woke up really early #and that was okay cos inwatched avs while i loaded the dishwasher and fed henry (cat not popstar) and washed my face and logged into work #four day weekends are so nice but my bosses emails ugh #i managed to have three meetings #one of which i had to contribute a lot to #and get a ministerial response completed while watching that utterly borked nucks match #and now i am having morning tea and feeling good #ive decided its not too late to plant sweet peas #i couldn't do it cos of surgery but look its still Autumn..#and idk i just feel gd about this week #i am enjoying organising the house in a low pressure way and writing my fic and i see neil on wed #and it is mamas birthday on Saturday so on Friday my sisters and i will have dinner at a nice place by the harbour #near where she wants her ashes scattered under the bridge where you walk round the corner and see soh #and we'll talk about things she would have hated and things she would have loved since she died #and I'll cry into my sydney rock oysters and miss her #but im missing her as i stand in the kitchen typing this waiting for the kettle to boil so you know #silv rambles #sorry i just do this on whichever blog im using the most #block the silv rambles tag if its super annoying

quick update !!

i hope everyone is having a good holiday season and enjoying themselves to the fullest! ♡

my holiday has been interesting, to say the least, and now that i'm back home and in a position to pester all of you again with this grandiose loser, my cat is showing some concerning signs that may result in a visit to the vet ( •_•)

that being said, activity is going to continue to be slow here for a bit. you may see me responding to some asks/drafts quietly, but ooc-wise i will be less reachable
