Hey guys I rewrote that Battlewinner death scene lol. This time I decided to make Mastermind a weeee bit of a silly guy as well as make her death a bit..y'know.. No real TW or anything other than death and Bad Parenting
The ground quivered beneath Starflight's talons as he raced down the corridors, Glory, Princess Greatness, and Fatespeaker in tow. He had been in a cave his whole life, but never had one felt as alive as right now. The rocks felt hot to the touch. The walls rumbled. The distant sound of lava moving was all he could hear. It was as though a slumbering beast was being pulled from its sleep, waking to the sight of a colony of ants nestled into it. It wants them out.
"Question," he began, "how long until the volcano erupts?"
"Erupts?" Greatness echoed. "Not for another two years. Mastermind took some calculations and predicted that the next one would be soon, but not right now. What you're feeling is just...abnormal activity. The volcano does that."
"Really? I've lived here my whole life and I've never felt something this strong," Fatespeaker said.
"We'll worry about whatever the volcano is doing later," Glory snapped. "Right now, we have a mad queen to talk to."
"I- I don't get it." Starflight slowed his pace. "Don't you have oracles? Prophets? Why did Mastermind have to guess? Wouldn't a future be more accurate? Not to doubt my father's research but..." His words trailed off. "Why? What's going on?"
Greatness turned away, staring straight ahead. "We're almost there. I can hear Mastermind."
Starflight's ears perked up. Amongst the bellows of the volcano, he could make out the faint mumblings of a scientist. They turned the sharp bend and entered into the queen's chamber.
It was a large, spacious cave, with a lake of lava in the center. Stalactites hung from the tall ceiling, embedded with a rich, deep shade of red. A deck of metal and steel was built, leaving way for Mastermind to stand upon.
But that wasn't what caught Starflight's attention the most. A cauldron of iron stood above them, with Battlewinner poking her head out of the top. Lava dripped off her as she stared them down. Next to her was Mastermind, absent-mindedly babbling and talking to her. The armour rack that he saw in his lab was with him, with all but the headpiece missing.
"– which, need I remind you, makes this completely safe. You can sort of walk, but ultimately your presence is more about your imposing lava-filled...armour– where are you looking– OH!" His eyes followed her gaze, widening as she saw the group. "Ah, hello! Starflight, my beloved protégé! I'm pleased to see that you've come to your senses and decided to turn over this band of revolutionaries. Shame to see it happen, really."
"No, dad, uhh–"
"Fools..." Battlewinner hissed. "All of you..."
"Mh-hm." Mastermind nodded his head.
"You too, scientist... If only your pride did not blind you to the truth..."
"Blind me?!" he snapped back. "Pardon me? I may be hard of sight, but I assure you that I am no fool, right Starflight? Utter brilliant genius. Oh, I'll be so proud to see you grow up. Perhaps you'll too come around to understanding your father's achievements."
Starflight winced. It was hard to hear a dragon talk like that.
"Your son is not here to help you, Mastermind," Battlewinner snarled. "He is here to stop us. All of them... They--" Ice frothed up in her throat, cutting off the words. The shards of frost melted as she took a mouthful of lava.
"What? No! Starflight would never betray us. He is a NightWing. He serves his queen, right?"
Starflight glanced at his talons. He couldn't dare to look him in the eye.
"Mother–" Greatness began, but was cut off by a sharp growl.
"Queen Battlewinner."
"– Queen Battlewinner," she continued, "I'm sorry but we must call off the attack. The RainWings are too powerful and our tribe is too weak to take them on. We cannot afford to lose any more of–"
"We will not surrender to these dragons." Battlewinner's voice boomed. Smoke coiled from her nostrils. The light of the frost in her mouth reflected in her eyes. "We are NightWings. We do not bow to any other dragon..."
Glory clicked her tongue. "Well, that's annoying. I was hoping we wouldn't have to do this the harder way." She walked forward. "Battlewinner, I come to propose an offer: you call off your invasion and, in return, I set up trading between the NightWings and RainWings. Your dragons are starving, diseased, and dying. You should be ashamed of how you've let them rot like this. I am only offering you this as I cannot let dragonets die, even after all you've done to my tribe."
She kept going. "You will also step out of this war. I am aware of how you and Mastermind have been trying to tip the scales. Leave my troop, the Dragonets of Destiny, alone. You will also step down as ruler. I see you as personally unfit to rule. You are a tyrant. You allow your dragons to suffer. Greatness is..." Glory squinted at her. "Marginally better."
"Thank you." Greatness dipped her head to her.
"If you do not comply, I will destroy the tunnels. I will not hesitate to kill any NightWing that dares enter my kingdom. I already plan on informing the other queens of your conspiracies. If you want your tribe to ever lay a claw on Pyrrhia again, take my offer. Relinquish control. Perhaps, in some years' time, you can find your way off of this island and rejoin the continent."
Silence. The rumbling of the volcano was all that remained. The caverns shook as the white noise surrounding them grew in intensity. Battlewinner's gaze remained fixated on Queen Glory. They both remained locked in this silent war.
"Bold words for a RainWing dragonet..." she said, amused. "Step aside before I drag you into the lava myself."
"No." Glory repeated. "You will comply with this offer or let your tribe die."
"You can't be serious," Mastermind spoke, half laughing. "You're just making a joke. You cannot expect something like that to work out. You? You're a dragonet! You're overly emotional. Not thinking things logically."
"Overly emotional?!" Glory snapped. "You're the ones who have been kidnapping the RainWings! Innocent dragons who were holed up in your dungeon!" Red splotches faintly appeared along her neck and frill. "If I had my way, you would be dead as you stand."
He snorted. "Ha! You truly don't understand science. Ethics and morality are mere roadblocks. Others of a more intellectual nature would understand." He shot Starflight a look. "Besides, we need the rainforest more than anyone else. As you said, it is a lush and thriving environment. What has your tribe done with it? From what I've seen, nothing! It's asinine to watch you flaunt your fruit and your peaceful lives while the NightWings have suffered for two thousand years!"
"So? Why should you have it? All you've done is lie and hurt my tribe, you murderous snake!" She spat. "We lived there! We have lived there for thousands of years! You do not deserve to wipe us out just because you feel it's necessary."
He adjusted his spectacles. "Starflight, son, you can't honestly expect this to work. You're reasonable. Come now, try and tell this RainWing some common sense. Do you honestly believe that the NightWings would accept it?"
"No, I don't." He shook his head. "Battlewinner would never agree to that."
"Precisely!" Mastermind beamed.
"So..." Starflight tapped his talons anxiously. "We can compromise? Maybe?"
"WHAT!?" Mastermind and Glory called out in unison.
"I know, I know!" He winced, waving his talons to try and calm them. "I was thinking that, because the Rainforest Kingdom has plenty of space and the NightWings are so few in numbers, we could donate a sizable amount of land to them. Have them build their own village." He turned to Battlewinner. "But, only if they accept Queen Glory as their ruler."
"Starflight, that is the worst idea I've ever heard from you--" Glory began, but was interrupted by the animalistic roar from behind.
"NO!" Queen Battlewinner screeched. She jerked around in her cauldron, spilling lava. "Never! Only I rule the NightWings!"
"Please, listen!" Starflight called out, matching her voice. "The NightWings cannot survive here anymore. Even if we set up trades, they cannot live. If we allow them to exist peacefully in the Rainforest Kingdom, we can leave the volcano behind. No more disease. No more hunger. Nothing."
"That doesn't sound like a bad idea," Princess Greatness said.
"You are a terrible heir..." Battlewinner hissed.
She paused. "I know. I never was a good queen. Queen Glory is more fit to rule than you and I both."
"Sure, yeah, but really? You want me to rule over two tribes?" Glory shook her head. "I can't do that, especially not with the tribe that has been torturing my own dragons." She glared at Mastermind.
"I think it's a bit much to call it torture," he interjected. "I only tested on them for years. Some died, sure, but they were just the weaker ones." He shrugged. "Should've been better."
"I hope that, even if you survive, your body is feasted upon by snakes and ants."
"Anywho," Mastermind continued, ignoring her threat, "I still fail to see what would happen to our queen. She has her armour."
"She won't make it," Greatness said. "She knows this. Your armour is nothing more than to prolong her life in time to see the trees. She will die either way."
He scoffed. "Preposterous! My design is flawless!"
She squinted. "I'm not too sure about that..." She shook her head. "She knows she'll die here. Buried under the rubble. It is the only option."
Battlewinner raised her claws, slamming down on the edge of the cauldron. "You will NOT speak for me!" she screeched. "It is MY kingdom! I will not allow for this!" And with that, she began to lift herself out of the vat.
"Mother, no! Please!" Greatness called out.
"Your majesty, control yourself! Your armour is not fully prepared."
Battlewinner did not listen. Her body slipped over the edge, spewing lava in all directions. Starflight jumped back as a large chunk almost hit him directly. He looked on, seeing Battlewinner's full body for the first time.
As the magma dripped off, it revealed her heavily scarred and discoloured body. Her scales were charcoal black, with burn and scratch marks dotted everywhere. Her wings were damaged, with the membrane showing a hint of blue. She was massive, but couldn't hold her own weight. The armour on her held the lava briefly, but it spilled out the instant she collapsed onto the ground.
She dug her claws into the ground, dragging herself towards Glory. Wordless threats spewed her way, little more than menacing grumbles. Yet, as she did so, she began to slow.
Then, the frost appeared.
Starting from her chest, a vibrant pale light emitted. It was inside her, in her veins. Ice formed, rapidly covering her body. Starflight heard her scales snapping and breaking as the ice pushed their way out. He could only watch in horror as her movements slowed.
Her eyes were wide, a mixture of malice, hysteria, and an utter refusal to die. A futile effort. The ice travelled up her next, encasing her entirely in it. In her final moments, she looked to Princess Greatness. Her expression was incomprehensible to Starflight, but to Greatness...
He turned to her. There was a sadness in her that he could feel even from there. Her breath was heavy and staggered. Her eyes were blinking, just barely holding back tears.
"Queen Battlewinner!" Mastermind lunged to her side. "No, no, no! You can't be! It was all perfect! Everything about my armour should've protected you! How could this be!? My calculations were perfect." His talons grazed the frost formations. "...it is fascinating to see the effects of the frostbreath in action, however. Mesmerizing."
As his eyes glazed over her, he caught a glimpse of the dragonets. "Oh, yes, you!" His snout scrunched. "In my scientific opinion, that was a STUPID IDEA!! Idiots! All of you! You've doomed our tribe!" He stood, glaring at Starflight. "I'm ashamed to see you do this, son."
A lump formed in his throat. Rejection from the dragon who understood him the most.
And, yet...he didn't care.
"So?" The word leaped from his mouth.
Mastermind blinked, squinting in disbelief. "So?" he barked back.
"So what? You're a terrible dragon! You tested on the RainWings! You never even cared about me! You just wanted to see a successor who would listen to you ramble." Built-up emotions spilled out of him all at once. "I'm ashamed for you to be my father!"
Mastermind opened his mouth, perhaps to make a snarky comeback, but a loud crack! interrupted them. It shook the whole cave. The lava boiled with more intensity. Starflight's stomach was tied into knots as the realization dawned on him.
The volcano was erupting. If they did not leave now, they would be reduced to nothing more than charred corpses buried under rubble.

And onto Rush Adventure now:
-Tbh at first i wasnt sold on the materials grinding for ships but later liked how it gives you a reason to improve your scores on the levels so you can get more. Idk i usually dont care abt scores but w the external motivation? Yea
-Same w the misions, good way to have lil extra stuff to do (that said why did they block the sound mode songs behind misions. Game pls my internet makes opening youtube an odyssey and now this too? Cruelty 😔)
-Oh and also the ship minigames! Its fun to have a map you can explore, and the races w Jhonny for the chaos emeralds are way better than the Surely Existing special levels (also srry if i got his name wrong lmao)
-Onto the soundtrack; its more broad compared to rush, and each song does matches well the enviroment. I like the tropical coastal vibes of the main town n training level, and oh man. Sky babylon and deep core my beloveds who literally got engraved in my neurons so hard i was struggling reading hours later bc the darn tunes kept playing in the background of my skull. Well scratch that all the tunes keep playing on the bg of my skull rn, what kind of eldritch curse is this). So yes good ost 👍
-Overall the aesthetic n vibes are also more broad with that tropical relax overtone, its quite nice. The difficulty is also way more forgiving (i mean i played on easy but that's the mode the game came in) and the tutorials with the controls are helpful (yes i struggled with the jump dash in the previous game how can you tell)
- The story is also more calm and silly goofy but in a good way (can def see what ppl mean by the diff eras in sonic writing there). I also liked Whisker being the main but kinda dumb villain for funnies vs the eggmans being a bigger threat)
-I liked the scene in the coral cave where Blaze appears bc my mind was half "haha i knew we were in Blaze's world, neat" and " weeee hi Blaze, game of the year :D"
-Marine was also neat, liked her silly dynamic of cheerful kid who is a bit too full of herself and is kind of a brat abt it, and how she later learns to admit her own limits :) And the koala villagers were neat too i like their designs :)
Overall thank you for letting me ramble into your ask box abt these games, its been fun :D
lmao yeah it's a nice incentive! I think the only other game that gives you a reward with higher ranks is Unwiished (another Dimps game), where the higher the rank the more medals you get.
also sonic 🤝 hector:having to earn their crafting materials
The missions are a good way to extend the gameplay, but IIRC some of the Sol Emerald missions were brutal... I have flashes of the Blizzard Peak mission.
The waterbike was genuinely really fun and I hated that it was considered the "worst" vehicle for travel :( I don't like the submarine, let me travel the world on my tiny waterbike while the best music plays :( also yeah the Special Stages with Johnny are original! Certainly more than Half Pipe 50.0
SRA'S OST was composed by veterans Tomoya Ohtani and Mariko Nanba while trying to recreate Naganuma's style. Definitely unique and underrated. Sky Babylon used to be my favorite too! But there are so many tracks that IMO deserve more love, like Haunted Ship, Blizzard Peaks, the boss theme and Whiskers & Johnny <3
Funny to think SRA came out one year after '06, widely criticized at the time for being too melodramatic :P Whiskers is also a nice case of Eggman being the twist villain for once! Although the credits of the "bad" ending spoil him and Nega, lol. Not that Whiskers looks mysterious himself... eh you get it.
Marine seems to have been reevaluated recently, like many things from the 2000s. I remember that back then no one could stand her and her Aussie accent lmao, precisely because she was an annoying brat. She is still mildly underrated, but I think the modern fandom generally "forgave" her because they understood that she was meant to be a foil for Tails, who is more insecure.
(two fun facts: in some countries, SRA initially got a 12+ rating because Marine says "bugger", which is pretty mild for Aussie slang but is much stronger for American standards. Also, Marine is Australian because in original she speaks in Kansai-ben, and I guess that was a way to recreate the cultural connotations! That and koalas :P)
You're welcome, you're free to rant at any time <3

if i find a way would you walk it with me
characters: dabi, shigaraki tomura
genre: hmm a healthy mixture of fluff and angst, i think
notes: weeee set in the break my bones but act as my spine universe!! ever wonder how dabi’s apology to the reader goes??? how he ‘makes it up’ to her???? well here u go! bit of tomura at the beginning because i couldn’t help myself yikes!! -sigh- poor dabi <33 | title credit: star shopping by lil peep
warnings: uhhhhh one (1) mention of cum in that very first paragraph (nice) but other than that i think it’s all good??? OH oh + use of the word Daddy (u shouldn’t be surprised by this point lol)
words: 3.7k
synopsis:
“I’m sorry for being an asshole,” he says, and to the untrained ear his voice would sound flat and monotonous, maybe even rude, like he doesn’t give a fuck about the words tumbling from his lips. But you—you can hear it, the sheer honesty embedded in his tone, the rawness bleeding into his voice, the way it’s ever-so-slightly rougher around the edges than it normally is.
✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰
It’s rare, nowadays, that you wake up to Tomura still at home. He’s sure to give you goodbye kisses every single morning before he leaves for work—kisses that last way longer than they should, kisses that are slow and messy, that manage to pull little mewls from you and leave you breathless, kisses that more often than not turn into your hands fisting in his dress shirt, little fingers playing with the buttons as you sleepily pull him closer, pleading in soft whimpers for him to fill you with cum before he goes—but he’s rarely still around by the time you actually wake up.
So, naturally, it startles you when you hear his voice, deep and gentle, murmuring that it’s time for you to wake up, princess, as slim fingers brush your hair away from your face, tracing along your cheek and jaw. Rolling onto your back quickly, your eyes snap open and you breathe out his name, heart pounding in excitement as you push yourself up onto your elbows, bleary gaze finding his.
Your near instantaneous reaction pulls a little chuckle from him, crimson eyes shining as they study your face, voice tender when he tells you that he finds your eagerness cute.
A pout settles on your lips briefly at his teasing, evaporating the moment your foggy brain realizes that he’s still home.
“Daddy! What’re you—A-Are you taking me to school today?” you gasp, sitting up a little straighter, a tiny glimmer of optimism in your eye.
And, God, the sheer, unadulterated hope on your face, eyes bright and as they search his, a tentative little smile tugging at the corner of your lips as you anxiously await his answer…it breaks his heart to shake his head slowly—he swears it fucking cracks in his chest when your expression absolutely falls, makes it feel like his ribcage is caving in, yielding under the weight of the ache that settles deep at the very core of his body.
A large hand cups your face, calloused thumb caressing your cheekbone, your eyes closing briefly at the contact, nuzzling into the warmth of his palm.
“No, angel,” he tells you softly, a frown marring his lips. “I have a meeting this afternoon, and it was easier to take the morning off and work from home,”
It’s only partially a lie—he does have a meeting, some fancy lunch with pharmaceutical distributors interested in investing in the drug they’re currently developing—but the ‘work’ he’s doing from home would technically be more productive if done at his office.
Really, he’s worried about how things might go with Dabi. If things get worse, there’s a chance he might just bring you to the stupid lunch with him instead, university be damned.
But you—you can’t help the sudden onslaught of tears that spring into your eyes, emitting a quiet, hurt sound that you nearly choke on as your chest hitches with a tiny sob, head nodding jerkily. Tomura coos, forehead wrinkling in concern as large hands find your hips, pulling you onto his lap and cradling you to his chest.
You shouldn’t be this upset. You know you shouldn’t—not over Tomura not being able to take you to school, and not over Dabi’s sharp words from yesterday. No, Dabi’s words shouldn’t even matter to you, shouldn’t mean anything at all…so why does dread flood your body at the prospect of seeing him, of being stuck in a car with him for a good half hour, at least? Why does it feel like your heart’s turned to corrosive acid, eroding everything around it, when you consider if he actually meant what he said, if that’s how he truly feels?
“I don’t wanna see him, Daddy,” you mumble into his shoulder, eyes squeezing shut tightly against the inexplicable fresh wave of tears the mere thought affords you.
“I know, baby,” Tomura says softly, fingers trailing up and down your spine. “I know,”
He doesn’t want to think about why Dabi’s words, that one simple sentence, have you so torn up.
Nor do you.
✰ ✰ ✰
Dabi arrives just as you’re finishing your breakfast, switching between fork and pen as you annotate a last-minute reading for school.
The entire atmosphere morphs the very instant he steps foot in the penthouse, and you swear you can almost see the tension in the air, heavy and suffocating. You wish Tomura were with you, have half a mind to hop up and run into his home office as you glance over at those thick mahogany doors with your lip caught between your teeth, but then Dabi’s heavy footsteps come to a halt, and your gaze snaps back to him.
He stops a few feet away, staring at you with those stupidly pretty sapphire eyes, hands shoved deep in the pockets of his black leather jacket.
His face used to be unreadable, but you’ve gotten better at deciphering his expressions, at decoding them to reveal fragments of his thoughts or mood, since you began spending more than eight hours a day with him.
So you know what it means when his jaw clenches twice (annoyed and dreading the interaction), when his front teeth nibble at the inner skin of his lip (unsure and nervous), when he readjusts his stance, nudging his feet just a little further apart (anticipating a verbal blow).
Placing your pen down on your textbook, you turn on your barstool to look at him fully, arms crossed over your chest and legs crossed at the ankles.
You steadily hold his gaze, and he briefly wonders if you’re expecting an apology, what Tomura told you about their discussion late last night, if Tomura told you about their discussion late last night.
“Hey,” he says, wincing at how gravelly his voice sounds and clearing his throat.
A beat of silence passes between you.
“Hi,”
“About yesterday…” he begins, eyebrows pushing together as he trails off, exhaling a harsh breath through his nostrils.
God, he fucking hates this. He hates that he spent most of the morning, the drive to and from going to get your apology gift, rehearsing what he was going to say, hates that it completely vanishes from his mind the moment he sees you, glaring at him in expectation or apprehension—he’s not sure, he can’t tell.
He hates that this is stupidly difficult—definitely more difficult than throwing an apology and gift at you should be—can’t fucking stand the incomprehensible feelings swirling around in his chest, the ones that make him feel like he’s inhaling smoke, choking on air, like he can’t manage to get enough oxygen into his lungs no matter how deeply he inhales.
He swallows, throat dry and scratchy, runs his tongue along the front of his teeth, and tries again.
“About yesterday,” he repeats, more sternly this time. “That was—I probably shouldn’t have said that,”
And the face you make as the word probably leaves his lips—features crumpling and contorting, your mask of passivity disintegrating to reveal pained eyes and a little pout—has him quickly backtracking before he even realizes what he’s doing.
“Definitely—I definitely shouldn’t have said that,” his chest heaves with the force of a heavy sigh, raking a hand aggressively through his hair. “I didn’t mean it. I, uh, I promise,” his eyes bore into yours, his stare so intense it takes everything in your power not to look away.
It’s unsettling in the very least, to hear him this unsure of himself. You think you might even be able to detect the smallest hint of a tremble to his voice, but it only seems to be audible on certain words.
It makes your heart ache in the most inexplicable way, bottom lip jutting out further as your pout deepens. Really, you think you should still be furious at him. Really, you wish you were. You shouldn’t be feeling sympathy for him, not after the way he’s treated you the past few weeks. You shouldn’t have to resist the urge to run to him, to take his face between your hands and tell him that it’s alright, it’s fine, you forgive him—anything just to stop the way his voice quivers ever-so-slightly on the word promise, anything to eradicate the melancholy in his eyes.
“Look—what I’m trying to say, I guess, is—”
The tiniest, softest little mewl sounds from his jacket and he looks down sharply, scowling at it. Eyebrows knitting, you laugh a little, head quirking to the side in confusion.
“Do you…Do you have a cat in your jacket, or something?”
Dabi sighs, shaking his head and murmuring something about how this was totally not your cue, furball as he holds his worn leather jacket open, revealing a small kitten stuffed into one of the inner pockets. He fishes it out gently—it’s so tiny that it fits in the palm of his hand—and holds it out to you, a peace offering.
You blink rapidly, shaking your head in disbelief with an odd little smile on your face. “Is it—Is it for m-me?”
Dabi rolls his eyes, but there’s a smirk on his face. “Of course, stupid,”
A surprised giggle escapes your lips as you jump up, rushing forward to take the kitten from him and cradling it to your chest, cooing softly. Dabi thinks it’s one of the sweetest things he’s ever seen, entirely powerless to stop the tender look that settles in his eyes as he observes you.
A thick, silky red ribbon tied in a large obnoxious bow adorns the kitten’s neck, a small tag attached to it with Dabi’s messy handwriting scrawled across it: I’m sorry for being an asshole. It’s fucking cheesy, cliché as hell, and you love every single thing about it.
“It’s uh, a Maine Coon, I think,” Dabi shrugs a little, hand rubbing at the back of his neck unsurely as his eyes dart away. “I paid a fucking fortune for him,” he says with a small self-deprecating smirk. “Three times the goddamn regular price,”
Your head snaps up, wide eyes finding his as the kitten gnaws on one of the drawstrings of your—Tomura’s—hoodie. “What?”
He shifts a little under your intense gaze. “Well, yeah, he technically belonged to someone else. Y’know how with those fancy breeders you gotta fill out those massive application forms and then wait for like, two years and all that bullshit,” he waves a hand in explanation as his voice trails off.
“Y-You paid six thousand dollars for this cat?”
“Just over,” he nods. “Plus a forty-five minute argument with the breeder, all for that damn furball, so you better fucking appreciate him, cause that guy was a jackass,”
Silence blankets the room again. You’re looking at him weirdly, and it’s starting to make his skin crawl, anxiety beginning to rise in his throat as he stares back at you, subconsciously holding his breath. Are you still angry? Do you not like the cat, was it the wrong breed? It was a cat you wanted, wasn’t it? Was this too stupid? Was it too much? Was it not enough? Tomura’s frequent yet random gifts are hard to compete with, but, fuck, he tried his best. He wanted to get you something that he knew you really wanted—he could’ve sworn he’s heard you go off on a tangent about how much you love cats, how you’ve never been allowed to have one before, at least three times in the short time he’s known you. He considered getting you the standard luxury shit women are ‘supposed’ to like, or whatever—he isn’t really into that gendered bullshit—but Tomura spoils you with these things so often and, well, they didn’t really feel like an apology.
Tingles flood your veins, feeling like sparks are coursing through your entire body, the thought of someone doing something so—so considerate making you feel giddy at first, then guilty. How could you not believe him, not believe his apology is sincere, when this gift proves to you just how attentive he actually is? That he doesn’t simply tune out your mindless rambling as he drives you to school, or when he lets you rest your head against his thigh after a long day? You’ve lamented to Dabi countless times about how you’ve always wanted a kitten—a Maine Coon in particular—and, knowing it’s the one thing Tomura hasn’t gotten for you, wouldn’t get for you…
Hastily placing the kitten on the island, you leap up, moving so quick he barely has time to register what the hell’s going on before you barrel straight into him, wrapping your arms around his neck tightly. The force of your unexpected hug causes him to stumble back a few steps, knocking a soft “Oof,” out of him.
His body freezes as you press up against him—you’ve never been this close before. A hand slides up his neck and into the hair at the base of his scalp—an automatic reaction, something you’re so used to doing with Tomura that it’s become second nature now. You don’t even realize you’re doing it.
But Dabi does.
Your touch burns, fingertips searing into his flesh in the most exquisite way, has him instantly craving more as his head droops just a little further, allowing you more access to move, your fingers instinctively combing through the soft, inky hair at the back of his skull. He wants to feel your touch all over his body, branded into his skin. Hours from now, he’ll still be able to feel it, still be able to feel the scorching warmth from your little hands scathing his flesh, still be able to feel your little fingers tangling in his hair.
Your sweet scent invades the space around him, overwhelms his senses, and he idly wonders if you taste as sweet as you smell, if the rest of your skin, your body, would feel as scalding as your hands do against his bare skin, if—
You squeeze yourself closer, body pressed flush against his, and his mind finally snaps into action, recovering from his initial shock and wrapping both arms around your waist, responding to your squeeze with one of his own.
“Thank you so much, Dabi,” you whisper, lips grazing his neck as you speak, an involuntary shiver coursing through his body. “I already love him,”
“Am I forgiven, princess?” his voice is low, rumbling in his chest and reverberating off of yours, chin resting atop your head.
A pause.
“Yeah,” you nod, eyelashes fluttering a little on his skin. “I—I’m sorry, too,”
“You don’t—”
“No,” you cut him off softly, and he can feel you nuzzling your face against him shyly, his arms squeezing you again in silent encouragement. “I overreacted. I just, um,” you stop, swallowing thickly as you struggle with the words. “I—We were making progress; or at least, I thought we were making progress—What I mean is, I just want t-to be friends with you,” you admit quietly, thankful that your face is buried in his chest, hiding your burning cheeks from his eyes.
He doesn’t respond—not with words, anyway. He doesn’t need to—his actions speak louder than words ever could. Lips press against the crown of your head, first gently, then firm, scattering a few kisses across your scalp.
The kitten knocks your pen off the island, it’s clattering against the hardwood startling the two of you, and you reluctantly break apart. He thinks it should be awkward—No, it should definitely be awkward, when he just dropped several unwarranted kisses to the crown of your head—but it isn’t. He waits for it to come, surprised when all that seems to remain is that same pleasant warmth as he watches you scold the kitten playfully, bending down to pick up the pen and gently tapping it against the kittens nose.
Your giggles, ringing out around the empty penthouse, are the most precious sounds he’s ever witnessed. Thoughts invade his mind, belatedly realizing that he’d do just about anything to hear you giggle like that again, soft and innocent and full of delight. The unfamiliar feeling of contentment settles in his chest, makes it swell so much it’s almost painful, thrumming through his veins and alighting his body.
Later, he’ll be pissed at himself for letting his guard down so easily, for completely losing control of his thoughts and actions, for becoming so fucking soft around you. But for now, he allows himself to bask in the feeling, just for a few moments before those heavy mahogany doors inevitably creak open.
“What should we name him?” your eyes are bright as you back at him, a cute excited smile on your face, lashes fluttering a little as you wait for his answer.
We. We.
And he hates the way his heart skips a beat at that one, tiny two letter word. He hates the way it makes his stomach swoop, makes more unknown feelings—sensations he’s never experienced before—explode in his chest, hates the way that stupid little word pulls a large, genuine smile from him entirely without his permission, a chuckle of disbelief passing through his lips.
We.
“I dunno, princess,” he responds gruffly, finally finding his voice.
“How about…” you stop, humming and closing an eye as you think, little tongue poking at your cheek in concentration.
Dabi isn’t sure he’s ever seen a more adorable sight in his entire life, and he has to physically restrain himself from marching right up to you and kissing you until you can’t fucking breathe, heels digging into the hardwood and hands curling into trembling fists as his body goes rigid.
“Isaac? Or, oh! Clarke?”
Isaac Asimov or Arthur C. Clarke, two of his favourite authors.
And, fuck, he can’t help the hearty laugh that bubbles up in his chest at the realization, pleasant tingles of warmth shooting through his veins again—more intensely this time, feeling like tiny shocks bursting throughout his body, his whole figure buzzing, high off your presence.
“Both are cute,”
“Yeah, but do you have a favourite?”
Later, he’ll lay awake in bed tonight, sheets cold and empty as he listens to the muffled sounds of Tomura’s ridiculously massive bed slamming against the wall while he forces the most beautiful sounds from your lips—later, Dabi will think about that sentence, those seven words, uttered so gently, so sincerely from your soft lips as you stared at him in earnest, genuinely interested in his answer. Later, he’ll think about why his opinion matters so much to you—if his opinion matters to you, or if he’s just desperately hoping it does, if he’s overthinking this entire situation, why the name of a dumb overpriced cat matters this much to him…
“I like Isaac,”
Your eyes soften, smile stretching even wider as your gaze flits to the tiny fluff ball now curled in your lap, small hand petting its head gently as it begins to fall asleep.
“Yeah,” you murmur, watching your hand’s rhythmic motions, the kitten beginning to purr loudly. “I like Isaac, too,”
Tomura reemerges then, both of your gazes snapping towards him. He observes the two of you, scarlet eyes slow and careful as they scan the situation, finally landing on the small ball of fur sleeping soundly on your thighs. There’s an odd look in his eyes—something you’ve never quite seen before, and it makes your heart drop.
“Look, Daddy,” you say softly, holding up the sleepy kitten to show him. “Dabi got me a kitty!”
The weird, undecipherable look on Tomura’s face evaporates in an instant as his eyes connect with yours, features softening.
“That’s great, baby,” he says as he walks towards you, coming to stand behind you and placing a large hand on your head. You hum a little, eyes closing at the contact. “Looks like we’ll have to go out tonight and get kitty supplies, huh,”
Eyes snapping open, your head falls back, resting against his stomach as you stare up at him. “Me and you? Just us?” he nods, and you gasp, face absolutely lighting up. “Really?”
“Yes, really,” he laughs a little, fondness settling in his eyes as he gazes down at you. “I’ll pick you up after class today, and we’ll go straight away. We can’t let poor Isaac go hungry now, can we?” Ruby eyes flit up as he speaks, hardening as they connect with sapphire. He holds Dabi’s gaze until the other man nods his understanding.
You’re so excited you don’t even realize you never told Tomura the kitten’s name. But it doesn’t matter—not in that moment, anyway, not when he tells you he’s decided to take the rest of the day off after the lunch meeting, to spend it with his baby and his baby’s baby. Not when you haven’t had a night alone with him in what feels like forever.
Tomura should be happy that it all worked out, right? He should be glad that he doesn’t have to find other arrangements, should feel relieved that you and Dabi smoothed things over, shouldn’t he? He is, isn’t he?
“Go get your schoolbag, sweetheart,” he instructs softly, tapping you on the nose. “You’ll be late if you don’t leave soon,”
You obey immediately, slipping off the barstool with the kitten cradled in your arms, explaining that you’re going to quickly ‘kitten-proof’ Tomura’s absurdly large bathroom and lock Isaac in there. For his own safety while you’re away at school, you say.
He watches you go, waits for you to disappear around the corner, before turning back to his colleague.
“Really Dabi, a fucking cat?”
Dabi bristles, exhaling slowly as he holds his boss’s gaze, and raises his eyebrows. “But she’s happy, isn’t she?”

Babysitters | Ushijima, Sakusa
Pairings: Ushijima X Reader (gender neutral), Sakusa X Reader (gender neutral)
Genre: fluff tehe
Request: “Can I request babysitting with Sakusa and Wakatoshi (separate)” - anonnie
Author’s Note: Of course you can tehe. Thanks for waiting patiently while I cleared some things off my plate. This, like always, was fun to write. Thank you for requesting and happy reading! PS, i might’ve gotten a lil carried away writing these scenarios aksjdhaksh
Ushi:
“Hey, guys!” You bent down and swept your niece and nephew up as they ran into your arms, almost knocking you over
“You’ve gotten so big!” You swung their little hands in yours
“Thanks for taking them tonight,” you stood and hugged your sister as she stood near your front door. She had asked you to take care of her kids for the night as she had to head back to work for a meeting
“It’s nothing, plus I haven’t seen them in so long, and Ushi and I can entertain them.” You saw your sister off as she drove off before getting back to the living room, following the sound of the voices of your nephew
You walked into the sight of Ushi standing as your nephew hung from his hand, squealing in excitement while your niece looked in amazement, wanting to go up too but was too shy to ask, clinging on to the bottom of his shorts instead
“They’ve grown so well like last summer’s harvest amshjd,” Ushi looked to you
“And they remember you,” you smiled. You plopped down onto the couch, your niece letting go of his shorts and stood at the edge of the couch, her stuffed bunny in hand
“Hey, sweetie,” you picked her up and she sat down in the little space by your legs, snuggled up beside you as she watched at how “high” her brother was in Ushi’s grasp
You could remember the first time they had seen him, the fear in their eyes seeing such a stoic man, his tall and broad stature looking menacingly down to them when they were even younger
He wasn’t the best at it but you had to get him to smile to make them trust him and think he was a good guy, which indeed he was
It was still early in the evening, just around dinner time which was perfect
“Do you guys want pizza for dinner?” You didn’t know what other response you were gonna get as they cheered loudly, chanting for cheese pizza
You ordered it online and began playing twister while waiting. Their energies were endless, giggles never ceasing as they played
You sat leaned into the back of the couch as Ushi tried his best to play along, trying also to not crush them with his body if he lost
which he did... numerous times, also because he wasn’t the most flexible
but after a bit, your nephew found one of Ushi’s volleyballs behind the couch near the corner, out of the way. He picked it up and asked what it was and asked to play with it
The two of you saw no reason to not play so on went the shoes and into the backyard, your laptop sitting on the couch that faced the glass sliding door so you could see how far the pizza was in the stages of it being made and delivered
The kids stood in front of him as he knelt down to explain volleyball, patient whenever they jumped in, asking a question about how to play and etc while he was in the process of doing to already
He positioned their bodies, showing them the proper form of how to receive, pass the ball back up
the two of them were pretty bad but they loved it. They didn’t care about the burn of the leathery ball when it bounced off their arms, they wanted to keep playing, even when the pizza already arrived
they were so eager while eating, the entire topic over dinner about volleyball and Ushijima
they were filled with so much curiosity, it even made him unsure about what to say sometimes where you fortunately stepped in
Dinner went by a lot faster than you realized. When they finished their last bites, they were so eager to go back outside but it was too dark and they would’ve been eaten alIve by the mosquitos
“How about you show them some of your games?” you offered as they pouted, sulking on the couch, the ball sitting between the two of them
“Is it alright?” he asked. He felt like he should put something more entertaining to watch like an adventure movie or something or played more board games and what not instead
“of course. they had so much fun earlier. Who knows, maybe they’ll even grow to play when they’re a bit older and maybe even go pro like you.” You brushed your fingers through his hair, ruffling the sides as he nodded, listening
He looked up a couple videos and casted it to the tv. All the gloomy auras around the two of them were off and they were suddenly sitting on the ground, their eyes glued to the screen
“Woah, that’s you?” Your nephew stood as he frantically pointed to the tv, his eyes wide as he stared back to Ushijima
“Yes,” he smiled
The two of you sat back on the couch in amusement watching the two of them watch the game
their little minds were blown and they wanted to play more
when you tried to get them to sleep, for the first time, it felt impossible. They were glued to Ushi’s hips so he had to be the one to put them to bed in the guest room, promising them that he’ll take them one day to the gym where they could really learn to play for real
Sakusa:
“I am leaving.” Sakusa didn’t even step through the door when he saw you carrying your brother’s baby, your baby nephew
You had told him you were going to be busy with something today and that he was welcome to join but he didn’t know you were going to be babysitting
And babies were the germiest of germs
The thought itself was enough to make him shudder- how they crawl on their hands and legs across the floor then proceeding to play with their toys that’s been bitten and chewed on, left on any surface which who knows has been last cleaned
He almost gagged
“Aw, Kiyoomi, don’t be like that. Just stay with me today?” You asked. “Look how cute he is,” you spoke in a baby voice bouncing him at your side, making the biggest smile appear
“He’s covered with germs,” he grimaced at the young child who looked up to him with such bright eyes. “You should wear your mask and gloves…. I’ll go get some, I have extras in my car-“
“Kiyoomi, no,” you called out to him but there was no point, he was already opening his trunk where he kept a special drawer type of compartment that constantly disinfected and cleaned his gloves and masks
When he returned, you rejected his offer. “Kiyoomi, I’ll be fine, just, please come in. You came all this way just to turn back?” The drive itself was almost an hour away from your guys’ place
“Yes,” he deadpanned before he turned away
“You’re going to leave me all alone, omi?” Your voice itself was enough to stop him in his tracks, turning around to see your saddened look, the feeling of burning guilt swelling up inside of him
You looked down to the ground as you nodded and turned back into the house, walking away from the door as it slowly swung shut by your foot. Checkmate
He could feel his brow twitching knowing exactly what you were doing and the worse part was that it was working
“Weeee, airplane~ Yay~” he could hear the sound of your voice as he walked down the hall, his mask and gloves on as he approached you
He stood hesitantly in the doorway at the end fo the hall that opened up to a tall living room, the golden rays of the sun being blocked by white blinds that made the room glow with a light ambiance
“Wanna fly again?” You asked in a babying voice to your nephew as he burst into a fit of giggles, his hands reaching toward you
“One- two- three, weee!” You lifted him up an arms-length above you
“Do you wanna fly with Uncle Omi?” You turned toward him and approached, Sakusa’s feet stuck to the ground as he stood there
It was too late for him to leave you now that he was here, the door shut behind him
Your nephew clung to your shirt, his infant eyes bright as he looked to your boyfriend, their eyes locking
You were taken aback when your nephew reached his hands out for him, usually not boding well with strangers but he whined meaning he wanted him as Sakusa staggered back
“No, no way,” Sakusa shook his head firmly. “I’m here but I’m not holding him or touching or anything with him.”
“Please? He wants you, omi. Plus, I need to use the bathroom. Can’t you just hold him till I get back?”
You jutted your lip out just the slightest bit. He couldn’t believe how practically identical the two of you looked but caved
“Fine.” He took your nephew from him, holding him securely in his hands but not bringing him any closer than his arms-length as you went down the hall, disappearing
He bit his lip not wanting to be near your nephew’s face, almost gagging and fainting when snot dribbled down his nose
“Y/N, come back,” he called, his voice echoing in the spacious house but nothing
You stood in the bathroom listening to him, not using it at all
“Y/N?” No answer
“Ugh, gross, he commented as he sneered at him behind his mask
But your nephew was entranced by Sakusa
He looked up to him with bright eyes, his hands reaching out and his whines getting louder and more demanding, wanting to be closer
“No, Y/N is gonna come back and take you away. I won’t touch or do anything with you today,” he huffed, looking down to him
But his eyes and aura were too menacing for him. You could hear your nephew as he cried and wailed, squirming in Sakusa’s grasp
“Hey- stop, you’ll fall,” he tried to readjust his hands until your nephew was about to fall, only for Sakusa to wrap his arms around him, securing him in his grasp but now he was pressed to his body
Your nephew’s cries died down a bit now that Sakusa held him close
He instantly clung to his shirt as tears dripped off his chin making little wet spots on Sakusa’s shirt
“Ew, don’t get your snot on me,” he was disgusted seeing his teary face so close to his now, making him feel like he was exposed despite still wearing gloves and mask
“Blow,” he demanded as he grabbed a tissue from his pocket, holding it lightly over his tiny nose. Obeying, your nephew blew into his nose and Sakusa was quick to dispose of the tissue into the trashcan in the kitchen
You peeked your head out of the bathroom hearing running water and followed it toward the kitchen
“Wash all the germs away,” Sakusa held your nephew over the sink counter as he rubbed his hands that were lathered with kid-safe soap, the water warm enough so it wouldn’t burn him
You had to cover your mouth from laughing at such the Sakusa thing he was doing with your nephew, teaching him how to properly wash his hands
Although your nephew wasn’t old enough to talk yet, he looked up to Kiyoomi like he was understanding every word as easy as breathing
“Are your hands dried yet?” Your nephew waved his damp hands around before Sakusa caught them in his, drying them with more tissues. “Alright, let’s go find Y/N,” he took your nephew into his arms and turned, finding you with a sly smile on your face with your arms crossed, your back leaned on the wall
“Seems like you make a pretty good babysitter, after all,” you reached for your nephew, only for him to wrap his short arms around Sakusa’s neck
“No!” He whined, your jaw practically dropping to the ground
“Wow, his first word and he says no to me.”
For the rest of the day, your nephew was clung to Sakusa’s side like he was his father but the sight was memorable for you since you’ve never seen a parental- type of side to him

Absolutely. This got a weeee bit long. A warning: there are mentions of PTSD and a depiction of a panic attack. So if anyone has any triggers to those things, please don't read. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy! -QD
* * *
There were days when Cisco couldn't handle the sound.
It was settled there in his head, a low-grade hum that attached itself to every brain cell like velcro on steroids. It had started when his powers did, a background entity to the visions that became constant the more and more he had them. Till eventually the hum would break into his normal thoughts, his normal every day everything, resulting in panic attacks like he hadn't had since he was a kid. Except these were worse. So much worse. Because he couldn't stop them, he couldn't control them. And it usually ended in him passing out and lingering exhaustion. For the most part, he'd been able to have these panic attacks alone. He'd been through enough of them now to know when they'd hit, and could usually disappear before it happened. It seemed like everyone else knew he was going through something at regular intervals, too. They were smart enough to notice his shifts in mood, or that he'd leave work at an early hour when it happened. But he denied everything. 'I'm just beat.' He'd say. No one pushed it too far. Not because they didn't care, Cisco knew. But because Cisco wasn't making it easy.
He'd catch Harry watching him sometimes, expression unreadable and eyes glistening what he thought was agitation, like the man could tell that Cisco was keeping a secret. But he didn't say anything. In fact, he did the opposite. He kept being... well, Harry. And Harry was pretty much one of the only constants in Cisco's life that made the crazy tolerable. When the hum had first really started to affect him, it was Harry's presence that seemed to keep it in check the most. Cisco thought it was because Harry kept him focused, on track.
They worked so easily, side by side, completely at ease in each other's presence, whether they were joking or bickering or brainstorming. It was like that's exactly where they were supposed to be, and exactly what they were supposed to be doing.
Sometimes, it felt like Harry was more in tune with Cisco's own emotions than he was. He would reach out and grip Cisco's shoulder when Cisco was getting tense, or he'd nudge him gently when he was unfocused. Other times, Harry would just rest his hand there on the small of Cisco's back. No reason needed. And Cisco used each of those small touches like a grounding point. Whatever the reason, it worked. And he wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.
Caitlin was the only other one who had tried to get more out of him at one point, but he'd ended up snapping at her. He felt horrible about it the next day, after it all had passed. And he'd doted on her like a puppy for nearly a week because of it.
He made it his mission after that to work even harder to hide his unschooled emotions. And after awhile, he thought he'd gotten pretty good at it. People stopped pestering him. He got to have his crazy-ass panic attacks. And the hum continued being awful background noise in his head.
But today was different.
Today was... bad.
He hadn't had an overdose of the hum in nearly a month and a half. He was actually beginning to think maybe his brain had finally gotten used to it. Or maybe he'd just been too busy for it to register as much. But as soon as they all got back from taking on their latest meta problem, the hum was so loud and overpowering that he felt like his whole body was being crushed by it. The walls were caving in. The noise was too much. He couldn't see up from down. And he got out of the Cortex as fast as he could, peeling his uniform off in pieces as he went, desperate to breathe as he flattened himself to the wall of the nearest empty lab and let himself slide to the floor.
He squeezed his eyes shut, tears streaming out of his eyes as he fought the need to just scream and scream and scream. The hum was too much this time. Just too fucking much. He'd give anything for it to go away. Anything. He'd even sell his soul to the fucking devil to be rid of this.
But it wasn't the devil who tracked him down.
It was Harry.
At first, Cisco didn't even notice him. He couldn't hear anything beyond the hum and he knew if he opened his eyes, the world would be swimming in nauseating circles. So when he felt firm, warm and strangely familiar hands on his shoulders, it startled him so badly that he let out a strangled yell, hands flying away from the tangles he'd made of his hair and latching on to whoever it was.
Then there was pulling. He felt himself being moved. And for reasons he couldn't even fathom at that point, he didn't fight it. He just let this person, this tangible presence, reel him in. But his body was so tense, it was slow going. Or maybe it just felt slow. Eventually, he found himself sitting in... that was Harry. He was in Harry's lap. He knew it, now. He felt Harry's warmth, and that's why the hands had felt familiar because he would know those hands anywhere. And Harry was cradling his head with one of those hands, right up against his chest in a way that was all too comfortable and fragile.
"Ramon," his voice sounded like a whisper below the hum. But it was there. He felt it rumble through Harry's chest, mixing with something else. Something he desperately wanted to focus on. "Listen... just listen. Hear my heartbeat?" He felt Harry's fingers begin to card through his hair once it seemed he was certain Cisco wasn't going to pull away. "Just focus on that..."
Was that the-something-else he could hear, a steady and heavy octave somewhere below the register of the hum? It came to him then, the thud-thud-thudding of a heartbeat.
No, not just any heartbeat.
Harry's heartbeat. He focused on it, just like Harry had told him to. He let it become his intent, his only need. He let it push away that hum with every steady pound, every deliberate pump of the heart doing its damndest to keep Harry Wells alive. Slowly, other things began to come into focus. Little things. Like Harry's fingers so tenderly stroking Cisco's hair, or how Harry's other arm was curled firmly and safely around Cisco's back and hip. Or how his own hands were clinging to Harry like he was a life preserver.
He could hear the rushing swell of each of Harry's breaths. He could feel the cozy warmth that Harry's whole body emanated. He could smell the settled fragrance of Harry's aftershave and something else that was very distinctly Harry.
Slowly, minute by minute, the hum faded. It went back to its place of background noise and unimportance. And eventually, Cisco found himself opening his eyes. He wasn't sure how much time had passed. But he knew, without a doubt, that this was different. Normally, his panic attacks ended with his brain spectacularly overstimulated and eventually passing out. But this time...
Cisco relaxed his hands where they clung to Harry's shirt, and he lifted his head very slowly, a little afraid that moving or even not being able to hear Harry's heartbeat might make the hum come back full force. But that didn't happen. All he felt was calm and tired and... grateful. He caught Harry's gentle gaze as Harry dropped his hand away from his hair.
"You don't have to move if you're not ready to." Harry offered, his voice soft, his eyes lingering on Cisco's. He'd never seen Harry look at him like that before. Or maybe he had, to a lesser degree. Harry never completely outwardly showed his emotions, but for whatever reason he was very clearly showing Cisco everything.
There was worry there, and kindness, and affection. And it made Cisco sit up a little straighter, though he didn't dare move away. Because Harry was his focal point right now, and he couldn't lose that. Not yet.
"Harry," he managed. His voice sounded strained, like it did when he was yelling. But he hadn't yelled this time, had he? He blinked at the sound of it, cleared his throat lightly. "I'm sorry, man." He felt himself blush in embarrassment, the realization that Harry had just seen him pretty much have a mental breakdown made him tear his eyes away instantly. He should have been more careful, should have gotten back here sooner or even breached himself to another-
Then he felt Harry's hand back on him, but not in his hair this time. Harry's palm was on his cheek, fingers smoothing against his skin as his thumb stroked the wetness that still lingered beneath Cisco's eyes. He had no choice but to look at Harry.
"You have absolutely nothing to apologize for. Ever. You hear me?" Harry demanded. He sounded almost angry about it. But honestly, Cisco couldn't tell for a change. "None of this your fault." He smoothed his hand down Cisco's neck, to his shoulder and back to his side, till both arms were safely fit around Cisco's torso. "Ramon, how long have you been going through this?" He asked pointedly, brows knit slightly. Cisco swallowed and blinked.
"It's... kind of hard to explain." He nearly whispered. It was strange. After all this time trying to hide it from everyone, he actually found he wanted to explain it... to Harry. "It's been like this since... since I got my powers." Harry's brows raised in surprise and then his jaw clenched as he breathed out slowly through his nostrils. "You're mad." Cisco stated, "You look mad. Are you mad?!" He felt his chest tighten. He did not want Harry mad at him, not right now. He didn't think he'd be able to handle it. But Harry shook his head quickly and leaned forward, pressing his forehead to Cisco's.
It stilled everything in him instantly. Had Harry always been this touchy-feely? Did it matter? Why should it matter? Because Cisco admittedly really needed this right now. And honestly, he couldn't picture this with anyone else.
"I'm not mad at you, Cisco. I'm more... disappointed in myself. That I didn't do something sooner." Harry sighed lightly. "I thought I saw things... signs. I tried to be close when I thought you needed it. I should have pushed more. I should have asked. I'm the one who's sorry."
"You're sorry? Shit, Harry." Cisco shuttered out, some tears escaping at the sentiment. "You just saved me from an overload of panic and passing out ungracefully on the floor. You don't have to apologize for anything, either." Harry smiled lightly, lifting his head. He searched Cisco's gaze quietly, then nodded.
"Think you can stand?" Harry asked gently. Cisco looked down at himself, at the disheveled uniform and rumpled t-shirt, at the way he fit so perfectly in Harry's hold...
"I think so. But..." He looked back at Harry's knowing gaze and cracked a light smile, "I kinda like it right here." Harry chuckled. Then did something Cisco hadn't expected. Sure, he'd dreamed about it and maybe there had been times he'd come inches away from doing it himself. But it was still surprising... in a really good way.
Harry's lips pressed to his in a soft, tender sweep, lingering as Cisco instantly let his lips attach right back. It wasn't deep, and didn't last long. But there was a comfort in that. Because he wanted to keep kissing Harry. Seriously, who wouldn't? But he also wanted a much clearer head. And it seemed Harry didn't want to take advantage of the situation. Which was downright respectful and caring.
Harry urged Cisco off the floor, keeping himself in close proximity so Cisco had something to hold on to. He didn't pull his hands away till he seemed sure Cisco wouldn't topple over.
"Come on. Let's get you home. You need to sleep. And then maybe we can talk more about it all in the morning?" He offered, taking a side step toward the door. But Cisco was focused more on how Harry's hands had fallen away, how the warmth and steadiness had gone with him. He reached out quickly and slipped his palm into Harry's, entwining their fingers. Harry looked down at their conjoined hands, then back at Cisco.
"This is gonna sound... maybe kinda childish." Cisco tentatively began, looking back up at Harry's eyes. "But... would you mind staying with me? I don't... I just... okay, look..." he attempted to explain, unable to find the words. No one and nothing had ever pulled him out of his panic attack like Harry had only moments ago, and Cisco simply wasn't ready to let go of that. Or Harry.
"Ramon," One word. He'd always loved how his name sounded on Harry's lips. "I'll stay."
And he did.
He brought Cisco home, and held Cisco all night in the quiet of his room. And for a change, Cisco didn't have nightmares like he usually did after a panic attack. The hum barely registered. And Harry didn't ask questions or push for explanations or demand results. He just let Cisco exist in that in-between place that he usually fell in after the hum had exploded in his head.
When morning came, they shared coffee, they ate waffles, they sat in sweatpants and t-shirts on Cisco's lumpy couch and talked about lighter things, laughing till Cisco's face hurt. And when Cisco felt like he was ready, he told Harry all about the hum and what it did to him.
Harry didn't tell him he was crazy. He didn't shove possible answers in his face. He didn't try to make sense out of something that really didn't have any.
However, he did open up to Cisco right back, telling him about his own panic attacks. He had them about as frequently as Cisco did, which was surprising to hear. Harry had PTSD. He'd had it for years, long before he'd come to Earth-2. And it had only gotten worse after Zoom. He'd learned a thing or two about how to handle them on his own, but it had taken far too long, as far as Harry was concerned.
"I don't want that for you, Cisco." They were sitting face to face, one of Harry's arms draped along the back of the couch, "I couldn't really let anyone be there for me. Or at least... that's what I told myself." Harry explained, reaching his free hand up to curl some of Cisco's hair behind one ear. He smiled fondly. "I'm hoping you'll let me help you. You deserve better than suffering through it alone." Cisco smiled warmly, unable to really stop himself.
And without a word, he moved forward and kissed Harry. Soundly, this time. And twice more for good measure.
"You're the only one I want to let help me." Cisco assured, and the smile they shared after was exactly the medicine Cisco needed.
Harry had always been a good listener. A fantastic bickerer. A safe and steady presence. Cisco should have let himself open up to Harry much sooner. Hindsight was always 20/20. But they were here now. And he had a feeling when the hum tried to take over again, Harry would be right there helping him through it.
Cisco could hardly think of anything more comforting than that.

The Lost Princess Chapter 68
Warnings: I think it’s fluff/angst
Rating: SFW
In the Badlands on the outskirts of the Keyblade Graveyard, two figures stood atop thirteen pillars of earth. Both in black cloaks, the man with blue hair spoke first.
“Humanity is a precious gift. And yet you desire to return to the Organization?” he said.
“Oh, yes...of course. One eradication at Axel's hands was enough to learn where NOT to place my trust,” the second figure said.
“He gave you a second lease on life.”
“He ripped me away from the one thing I care about. I don't require humanity. Give me my research. I must see it to fruition, no matter the cost.”
“The replicas.”
“Yes.” The hooded man laughed. “Soon they will replace, not just replicate. Given a heart, they can become just as real as any human.”
“What excellent tidings. I would hate to think we invited you back into our ranks only for you to fail to deliver our final vessel...” The man takes off his hood, revealing the yellow eyes and ashy blond hair of... “Vexen.”
“But remember...” Vexen said.
“Of course.”
“Protect the royal bloodline,” the both of them said.
~~~~
You and the others sailed the Gummi Ship to a world of doors and monsters. The stars twinkled in the night sky as you all walked towards a large factory building taking in the sights. Sora stopped, turning around...There was something different about you all. As you and the others finally got a glimpse of one another, you all jumped back in fright, summoning your weapons. Sora held his Keyblade tightly, facing you and the others. He took a moment to distinguish the features of you and the others. But the thing was, you and the girls looked normal.
‘Right, they’re Spirits. They can’t change forms that quickly,’ he said in his head.
“Wha...? D-Donald...Goofy...Sora...Vanitas...Why do you guys look like monsters?” you asked.
“Yeah, you’re really creeping us out,” Roxy said.
“Although, Sora and Vanitas look kind of cute,” Rumi said.
“Yeah, you got a point there,” Yui said. Sora had sports gray striped fur all over his body, a brand new tail, claws and spiky ears. Vanitas was the same way but had a darker color. Donald walked forward, lowering his wand. His feathers were now blue skin, his webbed feet now three-toed claws. His beak showed two fang-like protrusions as his tail ended in a spike, and two small purple wings stuck out from his back. He peered at Goofy from his single large eye. Goofy, on the other hand, now had two different sized and colored eyes, teal spotted skin and huge claws. Sora looked down at himself.
“Seriously? Is THIS how we blend in here?” he asked.
“That's right. It's about time you caught on,” Donald said. You all walked closer to Sora, who scratched his face.
“Could you guys take a few steps back? You're givin' me the heebie- jeebies. Except you girls. You’re not creepy,” he said.
“Yeah. Especially you Goofy. You’re really freaking me out,” Vanitas said.
“YOU take a step back!” Donald yelled. Sora cowered, sparking a chuckle from Goofy.
“Come on, I think our new look could turn out to be lots of fun!” he said, causing Rumi to hide behind you. Sora and Vanitas shrugged and looked back up at the building. A large symbol of a M with an eye inside was stamped on the outside of the factory.
“Wonder what kind of weirdos live here...” Sora said. Goofy crouched next to Donald to whisper in his ear.
“Who'da thunk he'd get so creeped out?” he asked. Donald and Goofy giggled as you, Vanitas, Sora, and the girls read the words above the entranceway. There was scaffolding set up over the left side of the message.
“It says, ‘We Scare Because We Care’?” you asked.
“That's odd,” Yui said.
“Doesn't sound very caring,” Rumi said.
“If they look like us, then they could be trouble. I think we'd better investigate,” Vanitas said. You and the others entered the factory doors and in the large lobby, you all saw two strange creatures. One very large and fuzzy and the other small and green. The larger one was holding a young toddler, causing you all alarm.
“Oh no!” Goofy said.
“Weeee!” the toddler said. The girl poke out from over the monsters arms. She was wearing an oversized pink shirt and had tiny pigtails.
“Boo!” she said. The big monster turned around and saw you and your team, the little girl squirming in his fluffy claws.
“Hmm? I wonder who those guys are. And I wonder why there’s four human girls with them,” he said. The little green monster looked up at the big one through his single giant eyeball.
“What?! Careful, Sulley. If they see the K-I-D...” he said.
“It's fine. We got nothing to hide.”
“But you're the CEO! You set the example.” Sulley caved and set the girl on the floor as the green thing ran over to you and your team, waving his little arms.
“Guys! Guys, it's not what it looks like. Okay, listen. That kid over there just popped out of nowhere!” he said. He slammed his fist into his hand and you all gave him disapproving looks.
“We gotta call the CDA. Uh... It's a...uh... Oh yeah, a Code 835!” the monster said. Sora and Vanitas pointed his Keyblade at him causing him to clam up.
“Are you trying to scare that little girl?” Sora asked. Sulley raised an eyebrow.
“Yes! I mean, no no no!” the green monster said as he waved his arms frantically. “We're done with scare power. Nobody's gettin' scared.”
“Mike, take it easy,” Sulley said.
“You should too, guys. Ya see? She's happy!” Rumi said as she allowed the toddler to play with her bunny ears.
“Bunny!” she said. The toddler giggled and ran up to Sulley and bounced in front of him, who pet her on the head, making her giggle.
“Oh,” Vanitas said. He and Sora chuckled sheepishly as they and Donald put away their weapons. They walked up to the girl and crouched down.
“Hello. My name is Sora.”
“And I’m Vanitas.”
“Boo!” the girl said as she trotted over to them.
“Oh, is that your name? Nice to meet you, Boo,” Sora said. She screamed excitedly, making Rumi’s heart melt.
“Hold on! You guys really aren't afraid of humans?” Mike said.
“You do see us, right?” Roxy asked.
“Mike Wazowski,” Boo said. She pointed at Donald, who jumped in surprise, staring at her with his cyclops eye.
“Come on, Boo! I'M Mike Wazowski,” Mike said.
“Mike Wazowski.” She continued pointing at Donald, waving her arm up and down. Sulley laughed.
“Well, you can see the resemblance. That googly bear eye,” he said.
“What's going on? I'm Donald Duck!”
“Mike Wazowski!” Boo said. Sora and Vanitas smiled as she started chasing Donald around the room.
“A-hyuck! I'm Goofy.”
“I’m (Y/N).”
“The name’s Roxy.”
“I’m her twin sister, Yui.”
“And I’m Rumi!”
“We’re Spirits!” you and the girls said.
“Well, my name's Sulley. And this is--”
“Oh, we know. Mike Wazowski, right?” you said.
“How come you girls look normal?” Sulley asked.
“It’s part of our Spirit powers,” you and the girls said. Boo jumped out from behind you as you all laughed, but soon hid behind Sulley nervously.
“What's the matter, Boo?” he asked. Behind Donald, Negaverses appeared. You and your team rushed to the danger, summoning your weapons.
“Negaverses!” Donald and Goofy said.
“Why do these always have to ruin the moment?” Roxy asked.
“‘Cause they’re bad guys and that’s what they do,” you said. Sulley and Mike hid Boo behind the lobby desk.
“Stay here. Kitty will be back,” Sulley said. Boo nodded and hid.
“Those guys are right, Sulley. This has got ‘bad news’ written all over it,” Mike said.
“Yeah, we gotta keep Boo safe.”
“I’m on it!” They ran back to you and your team in the fray, quickly disposing of the troublesome creatures. Sulley gave Mike a high-five.
“All right!” Sulley said.
“Nice, Sulley. Even with those extra pounds you put on,” Mike said.
“Heh, still runnin' circles around you, butterball.” Boo poke out from her hiding place.
“Kitty!” she said. Sulley shuffled over to Boo as you and your team kept vigilant.
“So, any idea who those guys were?” Mike asked.
“Those are called Negaverses. They’re creatures that try and possess Spirits such as us,” you said.
“Yeah. But they can also possess non-Spirits as well,” Yui said.
“Uh-huh. A while back, the King fought a whole bunch of battles against 'em with the three missing Keyblade wielders,” Goofy said.
“Wait, really?!” You and the girls asked.
“Yeah, you didn’t know?” Vanitas asked.
“Well, no one told us!” you said. Sulley and Mike exchanged glances and Mike shrugged.
“The same three that we're looking for? Aqua, Terra, and Ventus?” Sora asked.
“Uh-huh. We need more dependable help than YOU!” Donald said.
“Hey!” Vanitas noticed how you looked down and ruffled your hair.
“You doing okay?” he asked.
“Yeah. I’m just worried about Aunt Aqua,” you said.
“Wait, Aunt Aqua?” Roxy asked.
“Not so much of an aunt, but more of a babysitter.”
“I know that’s not all that’s bothering you. Is it...her?” Vanitas said.
“Yeah.”
“Who?!” Roxy and your friends asked.
“I’ll tell you later.”
“Still, how come the Negaverses are showin' up now?” Goofy asked.
“Is it because they use scream power?” Donald asked.
“No. They must be after us. But then again, they can possess non-Spirits. So maybe they are using scream power,” Yui said. She looked over at Mike and Sulley and Mike stamped his foot.
“Hey, I told you we're through using that!” he said. Sulley nodded in agreement. “Besides, we have no idea who or what you're talking about.”
“Oh, you'd really like the King--” Sora said but you covered his mouth.
“Uh-oh!” Goofy said.
“Order!” Donald and the twins said. You let go of Sora, who tried to rectify the suddenly awkward situation.
“Ummm...basically...we've come from far away to get rid of those creatures causing trouble. We're like...exterminators?” he said. You and your team nodded in agreement.
“Just HOW far away?” Mike said.
“As far as you can imagine,” Rumi said. Mike scratched his bald green head.
“Hmm... Okay, okay, let's just say we buy all that. Are those creeps dangerous?” he said.
“Extremely!” Donald said.
“They sure gave Boo a scare,” Sulley said. Boo rubbed his fur and nodded. Mike turned to face Sulley.
“Sulley, I know you've missed her, but it's time to postpone our playdate,” he said.
“You're right, Mikey. Let's get our girl home,” Sulley said. Mike nodded in agreement.
“What are you planning to do?” Vanitas asked.
“It's kind of a long story...but Boo's from another world...and we gotta send her back there...to keep her safe,” Mike said.
“Okay, then. We're gonna help you,” you said.
“What?!” Boo reached for the floor and Sulley let her down.
“Well, obviously you can’t take down those Negaverses by yourself. If you did, you probably would get possessed by one,” Roxy said.
“Yep. And they might try to cause more trouble, so, we wanna come along,” Sora said as he extended a hand.
“Great!” Mike said and shook his hand. “We could use a couple of exterminators around here!”
“Yeah, thanks!” Sulley said. Boo started running past the lobby and Sulley and Mike joined her, playfully roaring. Donald crossed his arms.
“You've always gotta help,” he said.
“Hey, they need us. Besides, we need to figure out how all those Negaverses got here,” Sora said.
“I agree with Sora,” you said.
~Le Time Skip b/c I’m Lazy AF~
“And that takes care of that!” Donald said.
“Uh-huh,” Goofy said. You, Vanitas, Sora, and the girls gave a sheepish chuckle. Later, you all finally found Boo's door and jumped up to it, Mike and Sulley hanging from the rails.
“Okay, Boo. Time to go home. You must be tuckered out, but we'll play together real soon,” Sulley said. The rail buckled and began to slide the door along, with you and your team following on your own red door. You each gave your own excited shouts.
“What NOW?!” Mike asked. The doors arrived at the Laugh Floor, and you all jumped off as you all locked in your terminals. A hooded figure stepped toward them, sending you and your team on the defensive. The person took their hood off to reveal...
“Mom!” Rumi said.
“Gotta say, that strange facade had me fooled at first,” Elena said.
“This is the part where you spout some mumbo jumbo and disappear, right?” Sora asked. Elena walked through one of the workstations.
“This whole world...was powered by scream. They converted the screams of human children into energy,” she said as she picked up one of the scream canisters. “And this very company was what made it all happen. It's as rich a source of negative emotion as we'll ever find.”
“For the last time, we already stopped doing that!” Mike said, angrily.
“Did you? Then how do you explain all these canisters of surplus scream?” Elena held up a canister. “This facility was everything I could hope for. And I was lucky enough to find a pawn whose heart was darkened by thoughts of revenge.”
“You mean Randall.”
“All Randall ever cared about was winning. And this guy took advantage of that weakness,” Sulley said.
“My heart is made of just one thing. And the Negaverses collected enough screams and sadness from those children to reconstruct it.”
“Yeah, and the whole time they were trashing our company in the process!” Mike said. Sulley held Mike back from rushing at Elene, but Mike struggled against the grip on his head.
“But, even with all this negative emotion, my heart is still incomplete. I need something else,” Elena said. She dropped the canister. It clanged to the ground before screaming off into the air.
“Whoa!” You and Sora said. Sulley dodged away, taking Mike and Boo with him. You all watched as the canister flew around the expansive room, bouncing off the walls until it ran out of scream and crashed to the floor. Mike and Sulley scowled as it rolled to Sora's feet.
“You know, I just realized something. The half of Vanitas that sleeps on...inside of your heart,” Elena said. Sora and Vanitas turned around and gasped as Elena held her bow and arrow just inches from them. Before she could attack, someone landed in between them.
“No...” Elena said.
“Missed me?” the person asked. She stood up and you recognized her.
“It’s her,” you said.
Her outfit (but picture it black):
“I thought that you were trapped in the Realm of Darkness!” Elena said.
“Yeah. Well, let’s just say I had a little help,” the woman said.
“Grr, this isn’t over!” Elena then disappeared through a dark corridor. The woman sighed and turned around.
“Alright, which one of you is (Y/N) and Vanitas?” she asked. Sora and Roxy quickly pushed you and Vanitas towards her.
“I thought so. Nice to finally meet you. The name’s Celina. I’m a Spirit. And also Xehanort’s daughter.”
“Huh?!” you all asked.
To be continued...
Core
“No I am not, just working on this Wolfbane file.”
ZM
"Ooo~ cool. Can we check out that book we were looking at before? Or does this place not work like a library."
Core
“I trust Shatter to bring it back, so yes you may borrow the folder.”
ZM
"Sweet thank you" She sits on the floor crosslegged flipping through the folder. "Which do you wanna get next tonic?" "Oh, um orion?" She flips to that.
Core
It was in the ‘adventure time’ au.
ZM
she looks to shatter who said that. "Ah, alright. Wonder if we'll meet fin. Its so weird meeting fictional characters haha! "
Core
“Well we just need to find this hunter.” Shatter said.
ZM
"Maybe its fin." She jokes. "Shatter would you do the honers of taking us there?"
Core
Shatter made a portal. “Says here ‘hunter princess’”
ZM
"Bubble gum! Kidding, is hunter princess what they call her?" She goes through.
Core
“It literally just says hunter princess, forest, adventure time au.”
ZM
"So helpful." She slides down a little hill in the forest. "Hunter princes! Wherever you are come here"
Core
“What do you want?” A voice sais
ZM
"oh uh, you have a gem?"
Core
“Yes I have the jewel you seek, but it’ll cost ya.”
ZM
"yeah, and what's that."
Core
“The feather of a cockatrice, get me that, and the jewel is yours.”
ZM
"Random. Why?"
Core
“It can heal cancer, and also be used as a spell ingredient.”
ZM
"what's this spell than?"
Core
“Turn people into stone.”
ZM
"sure.... whatever yeah we'll get that for you." chara waves her hand. "were can we find it?"
Core
“On a cockatrice, it lives in the desert.”
ZM
"k" she turns and they go to the desert "how big do you think this chicken is?" she asks shatter
Core
“18 to 50 feet, but my form is 25.” Shatter said
ZM
"that is a big chicken. we should bring it back for horror."
Core
“She would eat it, but watch out for it’s eyes.”
ZM
"yee i know sis, medusa chicken, i'm ready."
Core
“I have an idea, when we find it, I’ll turn into a mole and kick sand in it’s eyes.”
ZM
"sounds good. it is freaking me out a little that it lives in the desert."
Core
“Why?”
ZM
"well there's nothing here. it's not like it burrows, does it?"
Core
“Cockatrice are cold blooded, so it is perfect.”
ZM
"hmm, they must be pretty hardy." chara points "hey is that it?" in the distance there's a figure.
Core
Shatter looked and saw familiar plumage. “Yep.” She turned into a mole and dug underground
ZM
Chara laid low and watched
Core
She appeared in front of the bird and kicked sand
ZM
The bird shook it's head and glared at the mole relizing there were no eyes it got mad and looked for another victim
Core
Shatter assumed she got both eyes and turned back to normal.
The creature turned to their good eye, luckily shatter turned into a cockatrice just in time, the twos ability balancing out
ZM
(Stare down of the cockatrice.) Chara had been trying to sneak to the back of it and pluck a fether. She was close
Core
Shatter kept the cockatrice’s attention, though that wasn’t very hard since it turned out the wild one was male. (Sorry not sorry but he is trying to flirt)
ZM
(Lol) Chara gets ready to jump and right after she pluck it she did, right over the two of them and started to run to tonic.
Core
Shatter then attacked the male, showing she was NOT interested
ZM
"Woooo!" Chara runs and grabs tonics paw while waving the feather in the other hand.
Core
Shatter nodded and started to run off, noticing the male following.
ZM
Chara didn't look back so she didn't notice until she wondered what was making shatter as far back as she was.. "hurry up shatter?" She calls.
Core
Shatter used her wings to jump up and kick the male,
ZM
Chara heard the male cry out as shatter gouged his chest
ZM
Chara's curiosity wins and she looks back making sure to look low.
Core
Shatter killed the male, turning back. “He wouldn’t take a hint!”
ZM
"Oh I think he took it shatter haha!" She goes back and gets a couple more feathers for fun. "Alright let's get back."
Core
Shatter nodded, following
ZM
When they got there chara waves the feathers at the princess. "There you go. Why do you even have the gem if you're willing to give it up that fast?"
Core
“Getting the feathers is not that easy.” The woman said, tossing the blue gem to Chara
ZM
"OK better question, where did you get the gem?"
Core
“This lady with floating hair and glowing eyes gave it to me.”
ZM
"Didn't she tell you not ta give it away? Cause dang."
Core
“She told me find someone worthy.”
ZM
"Cool. Guess we win~" she sets the gem in, bright red color slowly dies down as it settles in. Chara spins the outside ring.
Core
It landed on pegasus
ZM
She showed shatter with a smile it glowed yellow.
" pegasus huh." Chara says "wonder what it'll be like"
Core
“Says Dracopedia AU, so more feathers.”
ZM
"well a'ight. not sure exactly what that means but i like surprises. let's go" chara says.
Core
“Also be careful, this au has my most dangerous forms
ZM
"eh, we're fine. we've got you."
Core
“True.” Shatter shrugged, making a portal to the mountains.
ZM
the three of them enter, it's late at night with a new moon making it pretty dark. the three of them made their own light for each of them. "okay, so, where is this thing?"
Core
“Well it lives in the mountains, so somewhere here”
ZM
"do these kinds of pegasuses... like, make nests?" chara asks
Core
“Kinda?” Shatter started, turning into an eight legged lizard large enough for Chara and Tonic to ride up the steep slopes. “They make large areas of flat stone to roost.”
ZM
"huh." chara hops on with tonic. "you have good night vision in this form shatter?"
Core
‘Actually it’s pretty decent, this is a Saharan Basilisk by the way’ she said, climbing up the slopes
ZM
they climb until they hit the top where it flatten out. there is a cliff in front of them they'd have to climb to get higher.
Core
Shatter looked around, sniffing the ground
ZM
the watch starts to glow indigo again. tonic holds it in a certain direction and it gets brighter.
Core
“I got a scent” Shatter said, turning the same direction. And bolting
ZM
tonic looses there balance almost falling off shatter's back. chara leans forward holding tight. "weeee! hahah " chara squeels.
Core
Shatter used her tail to help Tonic stay on as she climbed
ZM
shatter climbs up some of the cliff but than the sent is to the right. she can't see anything that way but the sent clearly leads that way.
Core
She turned to follow the sent, the basilisk’s eyes were small so this form mainly relied on scent anyway.
ZM
the cliff ended there, the mountain side dropping drastically. the sent came from inside the wall they climbed on, there was a spell of some sort on it it seemed as shatter touched it, the wall quivered.
Core
Shatter used her tail to snake the wall, again and again.
*smack
ZM
the harder she hit it the more it pushed back, like counter.
Core
Shatter growled at this. ‘You two get off for a second
ZM
there was a small ledge that they were able to stand on, though it was very thin they both did as they were told, tonic's light helping a lot.
Core
Shatter went over and started digging, something this form was great at
ZM
she could see that the spell was a bubble and went all around the protected area, even in the rock.
Core
Shatter bit at it, trying to tear
ZM
that was the most effective as the bubble's crease she made with the bite turned a light green
Core
She shook her head as she continued to bite
ZM
she eventually got through that, a bit more rock in her way before she could go into the grotto. shatter could hear sounds coming from in there. tonic inches their way over to where shatter was watching.
Core
Shatter dug through the rock with ease, once she made a big enough hole she went and got Tonic and Chara
ZM
the inside of this little hide away was quite nice. very cozy. there was a young looking Pegasus on the ground under some kind of animal pelt.
ZM
tonic and chara go in, chara looking around and finding gems. "oooo" she bends down to them and sees a little dragon there. much younger than the Pegasus. it was garding the gems
Core
“Dragonettes?’ Shatter questioned, confused. ‘They are domesticated so that must mean-‘ Shatter said before screeching as an arrow went through one of this form’s small eyes.
ZM
tonic jumped in surprise before bolting to where the arrow came from intending to rip up who ever did that's arm or whatever.
Core
He saw a male human. “Watch our you two! Basilisks are deadly, I’ve never seen one this far from the desert...” Shatter scratched the arrow out, blue blood stained that side of her face.
ZM
tonic bit into this guy's arm and pulled him to the ground.
Core
The guy had on armor. “What are you doing imp?! I saved you!” The man said, throwing Tonic into the dirt. Shatter heard this and hissed, raising her spines. She now could just barely see anything
tonic shook their head. "No! don't hurt her!" tonic growl/whines.
Core
“And why not?! They are dangerous!” The man yelled
Core
(He’s so cute argh!!! Shatter you better protect the bean!!)
ZM
"She wasn't hurting anyone." They say firmly. "Who are you?" Tonic asks sitting up. (Yee shatter, tonics gonna get in all kinds of trouble.)
Core
“It is after my steed! And I am Orion, rider of the winged horse.” He said.
ZM
"Funny that, we just met the representative of orion somewhere else." Tonic says quietly. "Do you mean that filly? It's hardly a steed."
Core
The horse seemed to hear this and charged at Tonic. Shatter heard the galloping and quickly got over Tonic, using herself as a shield.
ZM
Tonic being the skittish thing that he is jumped again. tonic tries to reason with the man saying they didn't know what they were doing and they were just looking for something. Chara saunters out of the cave thing holding the small dragon in her arms petting it as it purred watching the spectacle.
Core
It was a hatchling, fire red and covered in black spots, The man calmed down the horse, who and a golden collar with an indigo gem in the center. Shatter stayed over Tonic.
ZM
Tonic looked to shatter as if questioning if they should ask for the stone.
Core
Shatter nodded softly( Night)
ZM
"um... sir? That is actually what we're looking for." Tonic points to the horses neck. Chara steps over to them.
Core
“The gem? Do you have the ring?” He asked.
ZM
"Yes." Tonic nods as chara fishes it out of her pocket and shows him.
Core
“I see, well...” he took the gem out of the collar. “This is yours then.”
ZM
Chara's hands are full or else she would have taken it it, tonic takes it instead. "Why are you giving it up so easily?" Tonic asks
Core
“That barrier is not easy to get through, not to find it in the first place. You passed the test.” He said
ZM
Tonic looks unsure but thanks him anyway. Chara pats the dragons head until it hears the filly make a sound and flies over to it.
Core
Shatter turned back to her normal form, holding a hand over her left eye.
ZM
Tonic motioned for shatter to go down to their level
Core
Shatter was sitting down. “Oh, you are a shapeshifter.” Orion said “No shit Sherlock.” Shatter hissed, salty because eyes took forever to heal.
ZM
Chara giggles and goes up to pet the pegasus. Tonic heals shatter's eye with a drop of magic form their claw.
Core
“It needs to heal naturally, otherwise it may miss details.” Shatter explained to Tonic The Pegasus stomped a foot.
ZM
Tonic pouts and cuddles next to shatter instead. Chara copies the pegasus.
Core
Shatter sighed. “You two okay if we stay here until my eye heals?” The Pegasus snorted
ZM
"Fine with me" Chara says. Tonic shrugs
Core
Shatter laid down, closing her eyes. “You know, my core is blind.”
ZM
"Yeah? Why do you bring this up?" Chara asks while inspecting it's wings
Core
“Well, the first thing I ever saw was death, made me not want to see any more, but, I’m glad I can see you and Tonic.” Shatter said with a slight smile
ZM
"Awwwww~ break my heart, shatter!" Chara grins pulling at the wing to see how it bends. Tonic placed their head on shatter's belly resting with her.
Core
The Pegasus smacked Chara with its wing. Shatter continued to just chat. “Remember that other Nightmare? I think that’s because the Norse au shares the same creator as ours.”
ZM
"That so? Guess that'd make sense hm?" Chara shakes her head from the hit. Surprised by how soft the feathers are.
Core
“Yeah, in some of the aus with actual stars are limited, but rather interesting. One is where everyone is like opposite, then one where Dream and Nightmare swapped, one were the apocalypse happened, one with medieval kingdoms, and one where Geno and Dream made this deal.”
ZM
"What kinda deal?" Chara leaves the horse alone.
Core
“Not sure, but that au is a lot different from the others because of it.” Shatter explained
ZM
"Hm." Chara sits by shatter and starts to play with the loose rocks nearby. Orion and his pegasus head back to the hideaway
Core
“And one au, stars are bio weapons.” Shatter added
ZM
"Like you?"
Core
“No, no. Like robots with a soul stone core, you know, made by humans. Let me tell you that the one with the blades is ridiculously fast.” Shatter explained
ZM
"I'd bet. A star made only for fighting would really be something scary. So shatter, I'm a little foggy on bioweapons, it means using living things like germs or whatever to fight other living things? So even though they are made by humans they're still alive. Right?"
Core
“Well, it literally means ‘living weapon’ so anything alive, and they are.” Shatter said
ZM
"Uh-huh, how did they make them?"
Core
“Don’t know, I left fairly quickly.”
ZM
"Aw, that's too bad."
Core
“You would leave too if you were getting your ass kicked by something too fast to hit.” Shatter defended herself
ZM
"Not blaming ya, but it's still a shame. What was this star's name? Cause it's reminding me a lot of shadow lol"
Core
“C-5.”
ZM
Tonic fell asleep, "i'ma call her carma with a C. I hate the stupid code names. Anyway, what was your favorite place you've visited shatter?" Chara checks her soul with the small peice of gradients core sticking out of it still. The spread of the green seems to have stopped though. Lv 15.
Core
“Hmmm the jelly shroom forest.”
ZM
"sounds squishy."
Core
Shatter opened her eyes, the left one now healed. “So, ready for the next one?”
ZM
"i am but looks like tonic passed out."
Core
Shatter looked and chuckled, picking up the sleeping boy. “Well, next is dragon, so chances are it’s going to be here.”
ZM
draco's color glowed a silvery white with a tint of red. chara looks at it "i'll take your word for it, but i'd find it strange she'd hide two in the same world." tonic shifted in shatter's arms getting more comfortable.
Core
“Well, I told you before, this world is one of the most dangerous.” She reminded. “We should really stay here until Tonic Wales up....”
ZM
The watch's brightness stayed steady. "I say we go into their little cave if they'll let us."
Core
“We’re fine right here.” Shatter said, setting Tonic down.
ZM
"whatever. you know that thing could be out for hours. why don't you just wake them up?"
Core
“Because that is rude.” Shatter said.
ZM
"pfff, fine. maybe the dragon will come to us."
Core
“Not likely...” Shatter said
ZM
chara lays down with a huff.
Core
“Sorry, I know you are excited.”
ZM
she grunts as a reply.
Core
“Look, how about truth or dare in the meantime?”
ZM
"sure, how's that work? i made up shit when i played that with asy."
08/13/2019
ZM
"I never got to play with other humans. I just watched them sometimes."
Core
“Well, I say truth or dare, then you choose to answer something with only the truth or do a dare.”
ZM
"Uhhhh okay truth"
Core
“Are you using me?” Shatter asked, rather seriously
ZM
Chara was instantly shocked. She opened and closed her mouth unsure what to say.
ZM
"....uh.." she laughs it off. "I thought this was supposed to be fun?"
Core
“Yes that is the general purpose, But it is also good excuse to get answers,” Shatter said
ZM
She blinks. "And if I refuse to answer?"
Core
“You get punched in the arm.”
ZM
Chara groans. "Shatter! Come on! I don't even think I know the answer to that!"Tonic stirs from the noise before falling back asleep.
Core
“Then you accept the punch?”
ZM
"....I guess."
Core
Shatter punched her in the air hard enough for it to sting. “Your turn
ZM
She rubs her arm disheartened with a sigh. "Truth or dare?"
Core
“Dare.” Shatter said
ZM
"I dare you to wake tonic up so we can fucking leave."
Core
“Fine, Fine.” Shatter said, gently shaking Tonic. “Come on, wake up sleepy head.”
ZM
Tonic slowly shakes their head and blinks at shatter half alseep.
ZM
"Yes shatter?" He asks yawning.
ZM
"Shatter's being mean to me so I made her wake you up."
Core
“Sorry, “Shatter apologized, I promise you can rest on the way.
ZM
"Mmm, okay." Tonic wraps their arms around shatter's neck closing their eyes again.
Core
Shatter carried Tonic like a backpack. “You got the ring?” Shatter asked Chara
ZM
"Sure do." She holds it up as it shines brightly to the north.
Core
“Well, the sea orc’s lair is north..” Shatter said
ZM
"Alright." She walks that way. Unnaturally silent for her
Core
“Hey, Sorry if I made you upset.” Shatter said
ZM
She shrugs. "...It made me mad that I don't know the answer. Not your fault."
Core
“Oh, I see, well do tell me when you figure it out.”
ZM
"...fine." They see the orc's lair ahead of them. Murmuring can be found in that direction.
Core
It was a cave surrounded by water, Shatter turned into a lapras. ‘We have to be careful of rocs.’
ZM
"Yeah I'd assume seeing the name. Think they captured the dragon?"
Core
“No, rocs are giant birds, they might They to eat me in this form.’
ZM
"Well then get out of that form stupid?"
Core
‘What else do you expect me to use? Rocs will eat anything I do!’
ZM
"Try a laprass? How big are these things?" She looks around to see one.
Core
There was what looked like a cliff, at least 1500 feee tall, it opened an eye and stretched out it’s wings. ‘Shit!’
ZM
"WOOOW!" Chara squeals. "SO PRETTY!!!"
Core
The roc looked over, seeing shatter. ‘Shit! Shit! Shit!” Shatter hissed, diving down
ZM
"Shatter! Look how cool it is!"
Core
‘It’s not cool!’ Shatter said as the roc flew into the air, watching the water.
ZM
The roc blocked all light out from the sun that was coming up. "Shouldn't we just leave??? Why the hell are you diving?"
"I feel tree cover would be better!"
Core
The roc dove its talons into the water and caught a whale, easily lifting the giant mammal into the air.
ZM
"Yeah, like that." Chara dunks her head under trying to find shatter but she sees nothing untill she notices a faint light that she assumes was tonic on shatter's back.
Core
‘Wasn’t me!’ Shatter cheered as she surfaced, letting Chara on her back so they could head to the lair
ZM
Tonic shakes off like a dog and chara gets on with them. "How fast did you dive?"
Core
‘Fast enough apparently.’
ZM
"Yeah sure." They get to the shore of the cave. Chara hops off into the black sand.
ZM
muttering is much louder on the shore. Chara sneaks around to the edge of the cave.
ZM
Chara sees a big gathering of orcs circling something, chara's not sure what it is. She quietly relays that info to shatter.
ZM
(These are sea orcs)
ZM
"perhaps. If the gem's in there that'll make this difficult. How strong do ya think these are?"
Core
“Well, a freybug won’t work... but a naga will.” Shatter said before turning into a cobra with four arms and a scorpion stinger at the tail
ZM
"so we're just gonna crash that party?"
Core
‘Hell Yeah’ Shatter hissed slithering over
ZM
Chara follows, they notice them right as they enter the cave and start making screaming like sounds at shatter and chara.
Core
Shatter was highly venomous in this form and would paralyze her victims
ZM
One of the orc's came over (Wait so, the orcs are in the water in a cave on the island right?) Jumping out of the water and whipping their tail at shatter's torso knocking her of balance.
Core
The cave is like the one kyogre is in)) Shatter hissed as she used her four arms to spin back around
ZM
some of the orcs go on the land to attack, biting at shatter's legs. Another snaps at chara as she hops on it back
Core
Shatter quickly nabbed the one that was going to attack Chara.
ZM
It slams against shatter as the others do something similar as back up. Chara desides to go check what they were circling while they're destracted. Chara manages to get around most of them as they attack shatter. There's a big pool of blood fogging the area making it hard to see what's inside.
Core
There was a red gem in the water. Shatter’s teeth weren’t for tearing to she had to resort to her claws and stinger.
ZM
Chara darted into the fog grabbing for the gem she saw a glimpse of. As she waved her arms in the blood she hit chunks of flesh and bone. She eventually got what she wanted though it was covered in fleash. She swims up unharmed and calls "shatter! I got it let's leave!"
Core
Shatter turned back and teleported to Chara before teleporting to Tonic
ZM
they get out and the orc's aren't happy about that as they search for them, shatter and the others are on the other side of the lake, pretty safe from being found. "wooo! that was fun!" chara says as she wipes the gore off of the gem.
Core
“Sure, for you.”
ZM
"don't be like that. it's not like you got very hurt!"
Core
“True, but I was more worried about you.”
ZM
"yeah well you shouldn't be..... shatter? would you hate me if i was only using you?"
Core
“No, I don’t think I would, I don’t think I could at this point.”
ZM
"tch. well you should."
Core
Shatter shrugged, “it’s not the first time and it won’t be the last, I’m just glad you are actually a great friend.”
( there's the color list, i got rid of the dog and bull cause they're too similar to wolf and touros. )
Core
Shatter started to say something and sighed, before looking at what was next; (file above)
ZM
(so that's the dog? or what?)
Core
(Greater dog)
Core
“Yeah but this is a different kind.”
ZM
"Right. I guess we'll just have to see when we get there." Tonic says nuzzling into her shoulder.
Core
Shatter nodded and turned into a lapras again. ‘Come on Chara’
ZM
She makes not a sound and gets on the lapras's back.
Core
Shatter swam across the shore
ZM
Chara stands on her shell looking into the water
Core
‘Truth or dare’
ZM
Chara shakes with anger 'shut up.' Though tonic couldn't hear them they could see the tension between them.
"Ummm. Did something happen while I was asleep?"
Chara rolls her eyes. "No, it's none of your concern "
Core
‘I’m just trying to lighten the mood.’ Shatter said
ZM
'Because that worked so well before.'
Core
‘Ok, how about I make you something? Like chocolate?’
ZM
'Not hungry shatter. Like i said before, just forget it.'
Core
Shatter sighed as they reached the next shore
ZM
Tonic and chara get off, this shore is very muddy. The watch calls for the next stone with a pure red color. Tonic looks around "which way shatter?"
Core
“There are some plains nearby, drakes normally live there.”
ZM
"Oh, so there's many of them?"
Core
“Well there are tons of drakes, hydras are rarer.”
ZM
Tonic nods and starts trotting through the plains.
Core
They saw some creature’s run past
ZM
Tonic looks back to make sure shatter's there before they go close to the animals.
Core
Shatter was trying to make up with Chara
ZM
"Shatter! I'm serious, forget about it!" The drakes land near the group seemingly curious of them and the light.
Core
(Drakes can’t fly, they run)
ZM
( dheidbdksbd, kk. I was thinking of a different critter. Want to send me a pic.)
Shatter growled at the pack.
ZM
They sniffed and snarled at shatter's hostility
Core
Shatter turned into a war Drake, different from these Common Drakes, she had her tail down, a sign she wasn’t interested in a fight
ZM
They weren't wanting a fight either, but they did seem interested in shatter's transformation and tonic in general. One nudged against tonics head with its snout.
Core
Shatter raised her tail and growled, lowering her body, showing she was defensive about Tonic like he was a pup
ZM
It didn't listen to shatter as it pushed tonic to the ground starting to lick them. Tonic giggled pushing it away.
Core
Shatter growled at this, showing her disapproval to the pack
ZM
They back off, as this isn't their territory and they were just looking for food to bring back to their group leader (the hydra)
They start to leave and drag the prey they already had.
Core
Shatter growled softly. Before sniffing the ground
ZM
Tonic shakes off the slobber and joins shatter attempting to smell for the gem as well though they can't smell anything
Core
‘Got the scent, come on.’ Shatter said, running towards the source
ZM
They both follow quickly
Core
One of the packs look outs saw shatter enter their territory
ZM
It made a howl like sound and instantly a a new group of drakes came after the group.
(meet pickett)
ZM
august 14 leo
Core
Shatter growled and kept herself in between the pack and the others
08/15/2019
ZM
The pack reached them, nipping at shatter and roaring, telling them to get lost.
Core
Shatter had more armor and sharper teeth, but she was outnumbered.
ZM
One rammed into shatter knocking her over, the drake climbed on her and started ripping st her neck.
Core
Shatter used her strong back legs to tear at her attacker’s stomach, her long claws meant for traction on land, thinking quickly she turned into a Shedu, or a winged lion, the natural predators of drakes. ‘Ok, I’m done playing fair
ZM
The drake's belly was pretty ripped up and it backed away as much as it could looking up at the shedu. The other drakes still had a job to do, no matter what, so even though they hesitate they attack her again anyway. One got a good grip on one of her wings.
Core
Shatter spun around and attacked the Drake, swatting it.
ZM
the cerberus noticing the trouble it's pack was in, grabbed the gem hiding it in its mouth, and sprinted towards the group. It seemed to be able to talk through telepathy. It clearly wasn't it's power, but given to it by someone else. 'Get out of home' it growled like an angry child.
‘Not until we talk!’ Shatter hissed, roaring at some of the drakes
ZM
One of the cerberus' heads ordered the pack to back up. The head on the right said 'there nothing to say! Trespass!'
Core
‘Only to find you!’ Shatter hissed,
ZM
they relax except the head on the right. The one on the left asks 'what want stranger?'
Core
‘We are after the gem’s of Singularity.’
ZM
'Can't have, it master's' says the middle 'important to master.'
Core
(So far the highest points is 20 with the exorcist) ‘Yes, But we found her ring, and wish to restore it.’ Shatter said.
ZM
The heads talk amungst eachother before looking at the group silently. Chara grows sick of it. "Well??? Make up your damn mind! Can we have it or not?" The head on the left says 'must check worthiness' 'Destroy shedu nest.' The heads all nod in agreement.
‘You want me to destroy a Shedu nest? They are an endangered species, how about I do you one better? A bull hydra nest.’
ZM
(That tail tho) 'hydra's don't bother pack. Must be shedu.'
Core
‘Fine, But only one cub, I do not want to be responsible for the extinction of a species’
ZM
'Than no deal.' They nod and turntail.
Core
‘Ugh Fine, I’ll destroy the nest!’
ZM
'Good' head on right than says ' back before sundown or test failed.'
Core
‘Fine...’ Shatter huffed, letting Chara and Tonic on her back
ZM
They climb on and chara sticks her tounge out at the beast as they run in the direction of the nest.
Shatter flew up to the nest. ‘They didn’t say we had to kill the cubs...’ Shatter told herself as she tore up the fur padding that made the nest. (This is a white Shedu)
(A roc☝️)
ZM
There were four cubs shivering covered in their moms shed fur watching shatter confused. The Cubs had little fur and if they were to leave they would certainly freeze.
Core
Shatter changed the nest, destroying the old one.
ZM
One of the cubs grew more curious and went up to shatter, they'd never seen a non artic of their kind. It made a little cub sound as if questioning her.
Core
Shatter chuffed nudging the cub back before flying away
ZM
"...shatter?" Tonic asks. "I don't think... that'll be good enough for the cerberus."
Core
‘They said destroy the nest, and I did.’
‘They never said I couldn’t fix it later’
ZM
tonic shrugs and enjoys the ride, not sure about that.
When they get back the cerberus is instantly unpleased. 'Didn't do as asked!'
Core
Shatter landed. ‘Yes I did, you never said I couldn’t rebuild it, nor did you say I had to kill the cubs.’
ZM
The cerberus is angry about the miscommunication. 'You know what ment! No gem until what asked is done! Whole nest! We watch, do it right.' The one who game them telepathy also gave sight sharing.
ZM
( *gave them)
Core
‘Fine!’ Shatter hissed, flying back. ‘Chara, can you keep the cubs warm?’
ZM
"Yeah."
Core
‘Ok, Shatter landed by the nest. There were three cubs
ZM
'Where is the other one?" Tonic asks.
Core
Shatter looked around and saw it fell off the cliff. ‘Poor thing.’
ZM
"more like dumb thing." chara says getting off her back and gathering the other cubs.
Core
‘The wind up here is bad’ Shatter explained, waiting for Chara to get the cubs before tearing up the nest
ZM
"shouldn't have been so close to the edge." after shatter's done chara makes a bubble and puts them in it. than she puts a fire around it to keep them warm. the babies can't break the bubble but a mom surly could.
Core
Shatter made her work quick. ‘Can you leave them here in the bubble?’
ZM
"yeah, they'll be fine."
the cubs scratch at the walls of the bubble.
Core
Shatter felt deep guilt leaving, but got herself to do it
ZM
when they get back once again the Cerberus just glares at them. it spits out the gem onto the ground. it's given up on it's communication and considers them strong enough for the gem anyway. if the cerberus could have told them better it would have meant 'kill all the cubs available. but it didn't so pff'
Core
Shatter took the gem.
ZM
"alright then." chara holds out the watch to shatter.
Core
Shatter placed the gem.
ZM
it fit into place and started to call for the golden quezlequatle.
it was clear that that gem wasn't in this world.
Core
Shatter looked at the file, ‘I’ve never heard of this au’
ZM
shatter opens a portal to a very dark space similar to the void. in the distance there is flashing lights changing colors. "weird place" chara says.
Core
Shatter walked through, cautious
ZM
the other two follow and the portal instantly disappears as if it didn't ever exist. as shatter tries to make another portal she's unable to. she can still shapeshift though.
Core
Shatter paused
ZM
this place echos like crazy and chara's having way too much fun with it. she starts by stomping on the 'ground' and than starts yelling nonsense. "SHATERR! THIS IS AN AMAZING ECHO!"
Core
‘I can hear that.’ Shatter smiled
ZM
chara walks to the flashing lights and they emit a song per each structure. she taps one and it blinks off.
ZM
"Hm.. I bet we need to recreate a song. The question is what is the song." Tonic steps on a tile that makes a 'bloop' sound
Core
Shatter turned into a Chatot and repeated the sound
Core
(Crazy Idea: T.G. Au Dream and Nightmare would always fly at night together because it made them feel like all the pain of having to hide was gone, but one night Dream kept her jacket on and said she wasn’t in the mood, Nightmare shrugged it off and flew, Dream watching from the rooftops. The next night, Dream told Nightmare she was tired and it was overcast. This time her sister was concerned and asked if anything was wrong. Dream forced a smile and told Nightmare that everyone was ok. Later that night as the two slept, Dream had a nightmare where she was flying during the early morning and a wire net tore up her wing, she crashed down, exposed to humans who tore off the wing. Dream woke up in a cold sweat, pulling the blanket closer to her as she looked at her sister. The third night came and Dream still didn’t want to fly with Nightmare. “What’s with you recently?” Nightmare asked. “It’s nothing, I promise, you just enjoy yourself.” Dream replied. “Stop lying to me Dream! You haven’t been able to sleep, and haven’t been eating either!” Nightmare said to her sibling who tugged on her own jacket sleeve. “Why won’t you fly?” “I’m sorry, but I don’t want to tonight.” Nightmare went to Dream, picking her sister in the air. “Why are you continuing to lie to me?!” “I’m sorry!” Dream said as her jacket fell off, revealing her left wing was gone. Nightmare in shock landed, Dream quickly hid her bloody back with her jacket, looking down. “I’m sorry Nightmare...” It’s based on a new song I added ‘Two birds on a wire’)
ZM
As chara pushed more buttons something was chamging. The area they were in seemed to get smaller everytime something was pushed.
Core
‘Hold on...we might get squished’
ZM
Chara stops. "Have a better idea genius?"
Core
Shatter looked at the floor, before turning into Ironhide. Then stepping in the correct pattern. “Simple key puzzle, typical of Nintendo games.”
( look at this new boi I got.) Chara cocks her head as a way is opened. "How'd you know the melody though???"
Core
“The height of the plates, it’s minimal but enough that I noticed.”
ZM
Chara then noticed and huffs. "Fiiiiine" she goes through the gateway and is transported to a forest area with ghost like creatchers. Also there's a frog just sitting there. Chara goes over and pokes the frog. It makes a croak but doesn't move
Core
(The creature is Bioweapon!Killer) “An echo forest?” Ironhide asked
ZM
One of the ghosts came up to iron hide looking down at her.
Ironhide sat down. “Hey buddy
ZM
it made gurgling sounds and shrunk down seemingly sitting aswell. Tonic went off on their own to try to find clues to the gem. The watch doesn't glow in this au. Tonic comes appon a street with a bunch of traffic cones blocking the way.
Core
Ironhide turned into Plasma, her ghost type form.
ZM
A bunch of other ghosts that look similar with different colors gather around shatter. Chara picks up the frog and it turns into a small egg. If she puts it back down it turns back. "Hehe. Cool."
Core
“They are wisps....” Plasma whispered
Feel Special
He was glad Felix had helped him that day. How he’d made him feel special
or Felix found Minho when he needed him the most
🌹
Warnings: swearing, mentions of homophobia. mentions of blood Characters: Lee Felix, Lee Minho Relationships: Whatever ths ship is with Minho and Felix, keeping in mind this is just for the story and i do not actually believe anyone in this fic is as i have portrayed them Notes: My birthday fic for Minho this year (had to take a big ol screenshot of the mv weeee)
It was raining. And, well, Minho was wet. Obviously. It was pouring down with rain and the entrance didn’t offer much shelter. There was enough that he wasn’t sitting on the wet ground, that his few possesions were dry but other than that, most of him was positively soaked.
He sighed, leaning back to watch the people passing him by without so much as a glance. It was like… He wasn’t even human anymore. Like because his family didn’t want him anymore meant that no one else would.
He hated it.
He was cold, wet and had nowhere to go. God, he hated it so so much. What had he done to god, if there even was one at this point, to be so forsaken?
The rain only poured harder at his question.
Damn.
More people flew past him, on their way out of the rain. They paid him no mind, some sparing him a glance. Dark umbrellas that just ghosted past him.
Minutes passed, and the rain showed no signs of ceasing. Until a man with a brightly coloured umbrella (though man would be an overestimation honestly) came drifting along the path.
His eyes sparkled brightly as he peered around the area with a slight smile on his face. Like he was proud of what he was seeing. The boy’s eyes landed on Minho after a moment and he stopped, his smile falling away as he took in the drowned rat that was Minho.
“... Are you alright hyung? You seem rather soaked?” Minho had no clue why this boy was referring to him as hyung, he’d never met the boy and they were in America for god’s sake. Let alone the fact he probably had no clue Minho spoke Korean in the first place.
“Um, yea. I’m fine.” He mumbled, glancing up at the boy. He seemed to shine, with some sort of inner light as he tilted his head.
“You’re sad, in pain?” Minho had no idea how he knew that, or why the boy seemed to know him. He sure as fuck didn’t.
“What? Are you in--” He started only to get cut off
“There’s a cut along your cheek that’s bleeding. It’s a pretty solid guess.” The boy cut in, tapping his own cheek. Minho flinched, raising his hand to cover his cheek. The boy smiled sadly, coming to sit next to Minho on the wet ground.
“My name’s Felix. Are you alright.” A moment passed before Minho burst into tears. Felix looked stricken and he reached out to tentatively pat Minho on the back. After a moment, Minho shook his head, leaning into the touch.
“My parents told me that God hates the people who don’t fit into the perfect world he created.” Minho started, missing Felix’s offended face, “That God doesn’t want people who don’t fit to exist. They’re wrong. I hope.” He leant back, looking at Felix in distraught.
The boy sighed, looking into the sky.
“I’m sure God doesn’t hate anyone. Christianity probably just took his words too far.” Minho tilted his head for a moment, watching the boy with a frown.
“...My name’s Minho. Sorry.” Felix smiled gently, reassuringly. And like that, they fell into a silence, as the rain fell down around them.
Felix’s umbrella was folded and on the ground beside him, his hands on his lap. Eventually, Felix stood up.
“Do you have any dry clothes to change into Minho hyung?” He shook his head. He’d been forced to leave all of those at home and there was no way his mother was ever letting him step foot inside the house ever again. Felix frowned, offering Minho a hand.
“Let's get you some then.”
(“Felix.” Minho murmured days later as he curled up on the couch next to the boy. The blonde looked down him as if surprised to see him awake before humming. “Does God hate me?”
Felix frowned. And once again Minho found himself remembering that he hadn’t told Felix why he’d found him in the rain that night.
A moment passed, then.
“No. He doesn’t.” Minho sighed, leaning back to look into Felix’s eyes. He had these strange eyes, that sparkled like the universe and glowed in a pale gold. Sometimes when he wasn’t paying attention, Minho was even sure they flashed.
“... My mother told me, the night I left,” Left, such a polite way of putting it, “That he did. That unless I changed my ways, I was going to hell.” Felix froze.
“I promise you, God doesn’t hate you. That he’s positively in love with you.” The boy said after another moment. Minho frowned but said nothing more.)
When Felix was young, much younger he first made a boy. He had given this boy his own will, the ability to choose what he wanted. He gave this boy to a young woman by the name Mary and told her to raise him as if he were her own.
She did.
Back then the world hadn’t taken kindly to the boy, hanging him on a cross to die and holding him into a cave for his body to decay in. Or so the story goes.
In the story, the boy came back after three days to offer some last wisdom to someone.
The truth was far grimmer and Felix hated it.
They’d hung his boy off a cross alright, leaving him with injuries that slowly killed him as they festered. Twice daily they gave him water, refusing him the quicker death that dehydration would offer him.
And when his wounds killed him, they’d locked his body in a cave. Here was where the story diverged from the truth. Three days passed before Felix had found his boy. And on the third, Felix left the cave himself.
He’d been distraught.
It wasn’t until years later that he’d try again.
It wasn’t until he’d known that humans were far less cruel, that they cared more and acts such as ones that had happened to Jesus.
So when he started again, he started more carefully. The boy was given the gift to be himself, to be more cautious. The gift to share his passions in any way he chose. A creative mind.
And carefully, Felix picked out a family to leave his boy with. From afar he watched as Minho grew into an amazing human until he decided it was safe to leave the boy alone.
He hadn’t been careful enough, he realised the night he found Minho crying in front of that diner. His heart had ached for the boy as he sat down to talk to Minho for the first time in his 22 years.
So he did his best to comfort the boy.
Minho asked him, almost two weeks after if God hated him. Felix had to pause. No, no he didn’t hate Minho. He had never hated him. Hell, he couldn’t bring himself to physically think of it either.
So he answered as honestly as he could.
Days later as he watched Minho dance around the kitchen he realised just how true that was. He loved Minho, more than he ever should’ve.
He felt disturbed. What?
Another day passed, and Minho was leaning on him on the couch. Telling him stories of his childhood. And… Maybe for the first time, Felix opened up.
“Minho I… I’ve been living for a very long time. Long enough that it’s become difficult for me to be surprised.” The human tilted his head, looking at Felix in confusion. He sighed, looking behind him at the wall, “Still, you manage to surprise me every day.”
The boy’s head tilted to the right, questioning. Felix smiled sadly.
“After you’ve seen Rome’s fall, seen thousands killed in your name, you’ve seen everything.” He said with a shrug. Minho looked very, very confused for a moment before raising an eyebrow. As if, he was expecting Felix to go on. He sighed. “You always do so much for others, give up so much of yourself Minho. But even when things turn out horrible you just… Keep going.”
Minho stared at him for another few moments before he cleared his throat.
“Well… I don’t have much else going for me do I?”
A month or two had passed since Felix had… Unceremoniously adopted Minho. Honestly, he had no fucking clue how that one had happened, other than he’d entered the house with a bag and now he had like…. Slightly more than a bag.
He’d tried to pay Felix back, oh trust him he head, but every time he attempted the god had denied him.
‘It’s in my nature’ he’d say. Well, fuck that.
Fuck Felix for being so nice. So kind. So-- Nope. Minho wasn’t going down that path in a hurry. Nope, nopitty nope.
That was a scary thought and one Minho wasn’t quite ready to bring himself to deal with.
It wasn’t to say that Felix wasn’t good looking - quite the opposite really, he was quite literally star kissed in every sense of the words - but Minho was scared.
He didn’t want to be cast out again. He knew Felix wasn’t like that, but the tiny voice in the back of his head was always there. What if?
Even now, sitting on the couch next to Felix scared him. What if he was radiating gay energy or some bullshit his mother used to sprout. Still…
He found himself staring at Felix. He was beautiful, in every sense of the word, just watching the drama on the laptop screen in front of him in rapture. He loved watching him, loved him in general. But… He knew he'd never ever admit that aloud.
“You’re staring.” Minho pulled himself out of his stupor, cheeks reddening. Felix smiled at him gently, watching the boy fondly.
“Sorry.” He murmured after a moment. Felix smiled again, leaning over to pat his shoulder.
“No worries.” The blonde giggled, before retreating back into his original position. A moment passed for Minho, his cheeks still bright red, before he slowly let out the breath he had accidentally held.
Fuck.
So… Maybe, just maybe he liked Felix. Liked the way Felix acted. How he was so kind and caring. Minho was scared. Liking Felix like that scared him.
Gods weren’t supposed to fall for their creations. One of the first rules he’d been taught before he was sent to create his own life. Higher beings weren’t supposed to lest they show favouritism towards the creation.
Felix loved all his creations. Even the ones in Australia, though what had come over him when he had created the platypus he had no idea. Still.
Minho held a special place in his heart, one he wasn’t quite sure what to make of. What did it mean? The way his heart raced and his cheeks reddened whenever Minho said or did anything even remotely unplatonic (Which the human was trying to avoid keep in mind, after all, he was going through currently the biggest gay panic in his life over Felix), It was really confusing.
He didn't understand.
The way when Minho curled up into him he felt like his heartbeat so loud that the boy could hear. The way that his breath hitched whenever he caught the boy dance.
He googled his symptoms once.
What does it mean when your heart races because of a boy. The first result was WebMD so he quickly left that page. He was decently sure he wasn’t having a heart attack after all.
why are my cheeks going red whenever he's around was just as useless. Why couldn’t google tell him what was happening? He found himself avoiding Minho after a while.
He wanted to escape the way his heart hurt, the way his breath quickened. It wouldn’t last him long. Minho wasn’t stupid, he knew that. He’d figure it out and confront him and… Felix wanted to figure out what was wrong with him before then.
Okay Google, why does he make me smile so much? How do I know if I love him? How do I stop loving him? A week and a half passed before Minho cornered him. Just… In the kitchen.
“You’re avoiding me Lix.” Felix turned around, glancing at Minho innocently.
“What do you mean?” Minho squinted at him.
“You don’t hug me, barely talk to me sometimes and I’ve seen you actively leave the room when it services you.” Felix froze. Shit.
A moment passed before Felix sighed.
“Something’s wrong with me. I don’t understand.” It was Minho’s turn to freeze.
“What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know! My heart keeps racing and my cheeks keep burning and I don’t know what’s causing it.” He muttered out in a rush. Another moment passed before Minho reached out to pull him into a hug.
Felix’s cheeks flamed up.
“Lucky person, whoever it is.” He hadn’t realised he was so easy to figure out. Apparently, he was if Minho had figured out his predicament.
He paused, before shrugging and deciding to go for it. Damn it, if it made things awkward he’d suffer through it.
“Yea, you are.” Minho stiffened, before glancing at Felix, his own cheeks ruby and warm.
Minho wasn’t sure he’d heard that right? Felix liked him?
He pulled away from the blonde to stare at him. Before he swallowed.
“I uh…” He said, very intelligently.
“You don’t have to say anything but. I thought…” Felix whispered. Fuck it.
Minho flushed, before leaning to kiss Felix. A second passed before he pulled away, to see Felix’s flushed and red face.
“... Hey... Do you maybe… Wanna go out sometime?” Felix’s eyes widened before he frantically nodded. Minho giggled. Cute.
He was glad, that Felix had helped him that day. How the boy had made him feel special. Maybe one day he’d be able to return the favour.
"What Happened?" Part I (BatFam X Reader)
A/N: This is my first ever fan fiction. I am horrible at writing but I wanted to see this written so bad. But let me know! (REQUESTS OPEN) xoxo. Love, Sara. Description: you get saved from a Kidnapping. But not after you face near death.
Warnings: cursing, blood and slight angst(beginning)
____________
‘Why the hell is it cold’ with that thought, you slowly opened your eyes. You opened your eyes so slow, you felt that if you had opened them any faster you would alert whoever is nearby. You’re cold. Why are you cold? You couldn’t think of anything else besides you being cold. You didn’t wander your eyes. You were too scared to look around . You were groggy but still alert. You didn’t wanna make sudden movements.
You were scared out of your mind. You felt a warm tear hit your cheek. Why are you crying? You immediately stopped, because had you continued you would’ve sobbed. You don’t want to make a sound.
So there you lay on…metal? Finally trying to listen to your environment, When you felt a sharp pain in your abdomen. So sharp that you jolted up screaming, grabbing your side. You looked at your hands and almost threw up at the sight of crimson red blood. You turned, still screaming, to see batman, robin and red hood rushing to your side. You were twisting and turning screaming bloody murder. “Shit, the meds are wearing off and she’s bleeding ” yelled red hood as he put his hands on your side to plug the wound. You wanted to say something anything, but you were just screaming. “Robin, call Alfred, NOW” said a deep voice which you guessed to be batman. “WHAT IS WRONG With…….mee?” That was what you said right before you got knocked out cold.
“What the fuck” said Jason. As he sat down beside Alfred, who was stitching up your abdomen laceration that went from your Spleen to your stomach. “I am afraid this young misses had suffered an enormous internal laceration that we happened to miss while cross examining her. “No shit” said Jason, with a hint of disgust in his voice. “Do we even know her name?” Said Jason, who was now looking over at your wallet for an identification card. “I am afraid not, master Jason” said Alfred with all calm and composure. “Well she doesn’t have an ID wi-” Jason was abruptly interrupted by a voice from the back of the cave. “TT maybe if she wanted to let you know who she was, she would’ve done it already” that was Damian. He had a lot of pride and satisfaction in his voice. “Get outta here demon spawn, were busy” said Jason as he rolled his eyes. “I can see that. How is she doing, pennyworth” Damian said, which at this point was trying his best to ignore Jason’s glare from across the cave. “Better than when I first saw her, her vitals are steady, although I would like her blood pressure to elevate a little” said Alfred with yet again, that great composure of his. It was at this point you woke up. You got hit with an extra dose of morphine, because you metabolized the prior one really quick. This time around you were loopy. You slowly opened your eyes to see a concerned look on Alfred’s face. “Good Morning” you said with the biggest grin in your face. Jason jumped at the sound of your voice. “Did we not give her an extra dose of anesthetic, just so she wouldn’t do that again?” Said Jason as he placed his hand over his chest and pointed to you. “That we did, master Jason” said Alfred, still with concern over his face. You shot up from the bed you were lying on. Problem is, the anesthetic was JUST wearing off so you didn’t have a great feel for your legs just yet. So you were falling. Luckily though, you fell into Jason’s arms. “Whoahoho, that was swift, buddy boy” you said with a soft laugh as Jason held on to you. Yep, you were still loopy. Jason let out a soft chuckle as he tried to set you down, but your legs were jelly. Eh, I mean he just picked you up bridal style, no problem. Like he was almost carrying a sack of feathers. He picked you up and you let out a whispered, raspy “weeee” Jason took the time to realize how (h/c) your hair was, and how (e/c) your eyes were. ‘Something about you’, he thought. ‘Something about you makes you special’. Damian let out a 'Tt’ before turning around on the spinny chair, facing the bat computer, finishing up his case. Jason looked at Alfred awkwardly until he said “I will prepare a room for the young misses.” “No it’s ok, I got her” jason took you up to his room and set you on his bed. You were passed out at this point. He pulled up a chair next to the side where you were sleeping and started reading a book. Mid- reading he set the book down. Taking in your sleeping figure. Your face, how your hair messily, but perfectly flopped around as you turned, How your slight moans and yawns sent chills up his spine, how you smiled in your sleep. Jason hesitantly looked away. He doesn’t even know your name, how old you are, if you already have a boyfriend or not. A million things ran through his head. But they were all about you. Although he wouldn’t admit it, but he, couldn’t wait for you to wake up.
