How to Ensure Your Wedding Band: Protecting Your Investment
Ensuring your wedding band is crucial. It helps protect both its emotional importance and its financial worth. Here's a simple guide on ensuring your wedding band, looking at different insurance choices, and how to find the right one.
Importance of Ensuring Your Wedding Band: For most couples, Wedding Bands aren't just sentimental, but also expensive. So, to cover any accidents, losses, or theft, Ensuring your band can give you peace of mind. That way, you won't have to stress about meeting all the costs if something happens.
Insurance Options for Your Wedding Band: There are mainly two ways to secure your wedding band. You can add it to your existing homeowners or renters insurance or get a separate policy for jewelry.
Homeowners or Renters Insurance: You can add a jewelry "rider" or "floater" to your existing policy to cover expensive items like wedding bands. It's easy to handle but check that it indeed provides "all-risk" coverage.
Specific Jewelry Insurance: Some companies focus on jewelry insurance, providing tailored coverage, including repairs and protection Worldwide. These policies often cover more risks.
Process of Appraisal: Before you ensure your wedding band, estimate its value with a professional appraisal. This review includes details about the materials, quality, craftsmanship, and replacement cost. Always trust a certified jeweler or a specialized appraiser and keep updating the appraisal all the time to match the current market value.
Selecting Correct Coverage: Your policy should cover a variety of risks, like: Theft and Loss: Policies usually cover theft and loss, for instance, if you misplaced it or lost it during a trip.
Damage: Policies usually cover incidental damages.
Mysterious Disappearance: Some policies cover unexpected losses without any known reason. This is particularly beneficial for daily-worn bands. Also, ensure that your policy covers different geographies, especially if you travel a lot.
Understanding Policy Terms:
Check terms like: Deductibles: Some policies have high deductibles meaning you'll pay more yourself if something happens. The opposite is true for lower deductibles.
Replacement Process: Some policies mandate a similar replacement from an approved jeweler, others offer flexibility.
Premium Costs: Usually, the premium is a small portion of the ring's appraised worth. Many variables may affect this.
Documentation and Regular Updates: Keep everything related to the purchase, appraisal, and policy secure. If your band's worth increases or you upgrade it, update your insurance policy to reflect this. Consistently ensure the policy aligns with your needs and the current value of your band.
How to File a Claim When Needed: Thoroughly document the incident before filing a claim if your wedding band gets lost, stolen, or damaged. Provide any evidence like pictures, receipts, and an appraisal certificate. The Ensure will guide you through the process, which might include choosing a jeweler for repair or replacement.
By Ensuring your wedding band, you're safeguarding a representation of your bond. So, choose a dependable insurance that gives you the coverage you need. Knowing your wedding band is well-protected will give you peace of mind.

Honey, I'm home!
TLDR: I'm back. Incoming reblogs. Normal posting resumes 21st at 9am NZDT (GMT+13).
My cat summary, tales of travel woe and random trip tidbits below.
Cat! The cat survived the cattery. Apparently she wasn't eating too much and just stayed in her cage area (I say cage but it was a neat two level set up, she had an individual food bowl, litter tray and cat bed). She's lost a bit of weight so she'll be getting bigger feeds the next few days. She's periodically patrolling the house and hiding in my bed which is fair.
Travel! So our first bus was running late. Trying to make up for it the bus sped over the hill. Imagine sitting sideways on a bus with a large suitcase as the bus quickly drives a winding downhill road. So fun right (sarcasm is heavy here). We made the train but halfway through the trip it stopped and sat for 10 minutes because of an "incident" (yeah I'm curious to). Bus from train station to airport was fine but the baggage check in went down just as we reached it. Then the plane was delayed by about half and hour. Fast forward to this morning. Checking in at the airport early to discover our 8:15am flight was cancelled because the aircraft was damaged overnight. They put us in a van for a nice hour and a half trip along a sometimes empty, sometimes standstill motorway. At the new airport we checked in fine, but what do you know the plane home was delayed. Hour delay this time. Eventually back home, took the airport bus to the train station no problem. What do you know, the train line was having errors and replacement buses were running instead. At the home train station we just gave up and got a taxi to the vets, and then home.
Wedding! It was nice, my cousin and his bride were so damn happy. It was in a place called the Tree Church where the structure is actually made out of shrubs so it's like getting married in a church made out of nature. The sun was shining and she walked down the isle to an instrumental of Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams. Her dress was gorgeous, their vows were sweet and I was sitting in an aisle seat so got to throw flower petals over them as they walked up the aisle together. Then (remember I'm in summer people) they had an ice cream truck after a champagne toast and they had vegan ice cream!!!
Reception! It was at a vineyard and half the area had trellises with grapes growing above you. There was so much food, and some vegan stuff! Because my cousin has a large family (lots of aunts and uncles) I was the only cousin from our branch. But you know when the band started playing ABBA I had to get up and dance with my aunts because how can you not dance to Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (Man After Midnight)? I sang along, loudest to Love Story obviously.
Tea Ceremony! So my cousin's wife (is she my cousin in law now? IDK), her parents are Chinese and came to NZ before she was born. She had lots of family fly over from China and Canada and they brought her and my cousin these beautiful red robes for a tea ceremony. Basically it allows the married couple to honour their elders by serving them tea. The couple also get money and jewellery from elders. Apparently all the Cantonese speaking relatives told them they hoped to see a grandchild next year, no pressure cousin.
Internet! As some of you probably realised the air bnb had wifi so I was able to keep up on some people's posts. But because I'm an overthinker I wanted to keep my post about going away near the top of my blog. I'm now going to blog some things I wanted to reblog during the 5 days which you may well have already seen but I want to reblog anyway to show support.
Me! This whole thing has been about me but anyway, I am very sleep deprived. I was not sleeping well before we left. The house we were staying was so creeky I barely slept while we were there. So I'm going to do extra rambles because that's what happens when I'm tired. Thank you for a couple of sunflowers today, with my travel chaos I needed them. I keep them in my inbox for low days but appreciate it beyond measure. I'm going to try get to my asks today but sleep may claim me first. The favourite facts are coming I promise! Lastly check out this puzzle that I was fiddling with intermittently for 3 days. I can't believe I eventually solved it!
#I'm so tired right now#So very tired#I talk so much when I write#So decided to#ramble ramble ramble

The Beatles in Australia/NZ part 7 (part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6, part 8 , part 9)
Ringo takes Bob through his jewellery collection
Bob: These rings on your finger, could we discuss them a little bit, and say... Ringo: Yes, let me just put this coke down... ... there's scotch in it, actually Bob: This is the Beatle drink, isn't it, Ringo? The scotch and coke Ringo: Well, I've changed to Bourbon, actually. It's much nicer - it's stronger as well. Err, well, this big one... Bob: The black stone Ringo: It's a blue stone, actually... was off my mother for my 21st. And this wedding ring... which, I'm not married... was my grandfather's who died, and it's a keepsake which I never take off. And these two are off two different girls, who I didn't marry, funny enough! Bob: And Ringo, the bracelet? This identification bracelet. Ringo: Well, actually, the first one I had was off my mother, for my 21st with the ring, and erm... when we were trying to get out of a theatre one night in England, some fan ripped the one I had off, so I had to buy another one, without telling my mother, you see, cause she'd get upset! And then the watch is the only thing I've ever bought. Bob: Where did you buy that, Ringo? Ringo: In Germany, when I played in Germany, but I've got another one... I'm frightened to use it, in case I smash it up, and I've got a necklace, a gold necklace, a St Christopher, which an auntie bought me. So, I never buy jewellery - people buy it for me.
#I want to know more about those two ring-buying girls#and I wonder if someone out there still has his original bracelet#I also want to know exactly how expensive that second watch is#beatles in australia/nz#bob rogers#ringo starr#interviews: ringo#audio and transcripts

“I see two rumours going around on this topic: one is that Meghan has absconded with pieces of Princess Diana’s jewellery and refuses to return them, the other that Meghan has absconded with Jewellery that belongs to the crown, and refuses to return them (this latter rumour has identified the missing jewellery as the pieces Meghan wore to her reception, apparently per a royal dresser who has now retired). I don’t know if either, both, or none of these rumours are true”
Hello! The only jewels from the royal vault Meghan has worn is the Queen Mary bandeau tiara and the ‘bloody’ earrings (technically as a gift from a head of state they figure as crown property, with the receiver entitled to wear them during their lifetime). To her wedding reception she only wore the cartier earrings (not royal property) and the aquamarine ring. The 'lost’ pair of earrings or better one earring missing came from her attending the Italian wedding of one of her friends. However, those earring were not royal, but said to have been borrowed (this is what I remember). So there could have been a mix of these stories. However, the 'kept’ item could have been the 'bloody’ earrings. She might have refused to give them back following the backlash and taken them to the US even if asked to return them to the royal vault. I wonder if she has kept them and if yes, if she has turned them into something else and then sold them. There’s also the pearl necklace she received as a diplomatic gift while on the oceania tour. That is undoubtly the monarch’s property. Could she have refused to give it back when they moved to the US?
So my theory on this matter has 3 option:
- the diplomatic gift (pearl necklace). This is the most problematic. I think Fiji gifted the necklace if I remember well and if they host a visit for Fiji they might have to exhibit the necklace or one royal could wear it. Even though, I don’t see it as something they usually do. They usually show the gifts exchanged throughout the years but it’s different items and not jewelry.
- wedding gift from a diplomat (the 'bloody’ earrings). I don’t see the Royal Family pursuing legal action as 1. It was a wedding gift so she can keep it until married to Harry. 2. It’s a controversial gift so she took it off their hands
- the aquamarine ring (it could be that the stone was an official present to Diana as P/ssoW so as all gifts from diplomats they were reserved to William and he just lent it to Harry, but was never returned)
On the latter, I don’t see William minding that much about it to start a legal fight to have it back. The most valuable and cherished ring from his mom is safely guarded on Catherine’s finger.
Can’t wait for the reading and see what’s going to come out! 😊😘
*
Hi Nonny,
Thank you for setting that out so clearly. I would not be surprised at all if Meghan had refused to return borrowed jewellery to the Royal Vault, although I would expect someone to come and collect it from her if that was the case.
I loved that necklace from Fiji. I adore pearls and that was beautiful. However, I don’t think that Meghan cares for pearls, so I can’t see her asking to keep it for herself. It’s the same with the lovely carved green stone pendant she received as a diplomatic gift in NZ - it is beautiful, but not something I think Meghan would make an effort to keep (not enough bling for her). I could be wrong, of course - these are just my ideas.
AFAIK, the aquamarine ring was Princess Diana’s personal property, and so the most logical assumption ids that it was a gift to Meghan from Harry from his part of his mother’s jewellery. That leaves the ‘bloody diamond’ earrings are the best bet for jewellery that was loaned to her that she kept.
I think I am going to have to do multiple readings on this topic, as there is so much to ask about. :)

The right necklace set can elevate your ensemble, adding a touch of sophistication that complements your overall bridal style.
In this blog, we’ll guide you on how to choose the best bridal diamond necklace set for your wedding, the reasons why brides often opt for best artificial jewellery online, and explore options for those looking for Indian gold jewellery in NZ.
Why Choose a Bridal Diamond Necklace Set
A bridal diamond necklace set is often the centerpiece of a bride’s jewelry collection. It’s not just an accessory; it is a symbol of grace, purity, and timeless love. Here’s why it’s an excellent choice for your wedding day:
Timeless Elegance
Diamonds have a universal appeal, and their sparkle never goes out of style. A bridal diamond necklace set is a classic that can be passed down through generations, making it a significant investment in family heirlooms. The elegance and sophistication of diamonds add a timeless charm to your bridal attire, making you look and feel like a queen.
Versatile Design
One of the advantages of choosing a diamond necklace set is its versatility. Whether you're going for a traditional look with a lehenga or opting for a modern gown, a diamond necklace complements a wide variety of bridal outfits. You can opt for delicate diamond chokers, elaborate necklaces with matching earrings, or even layered necklaces for a statement look.
Symbol of Love and Commitment
Diamonds represent strength, endurance, and eternity, making them a perfect symbol for your wedding day. Wearing a diamond necklace set can symbolise the lasting love and commitment between you and your partner, adding sentimental value to your jewelry.
Consider Best Artificial Jewellery Online for Your Wedding Day

Elegance Redefined: The Titanium Hinged Ring
When it comes to jewelry, the choices are vast, but few pieces can match the combination of beauty, durability, and innovation that a titanium hinged ring offers. This exquisite accessory has taken the jewelry world by storm, redefining the way we perceive elegance and craftsmanship. In this article, we'll delve into the captivating world of titanium hinged rings, exploring their unique features, history, and the reasons they have become a sought-after choice for those seeking a touch of sophistication in their jewelry collection.
The History of Titanium
Titanium, a lightweight and corrosion-resistant metal, first found its industrial applications in aerospace and medical fields. Its introduction into the jewelry industry was a natural progression. Renowned for its strength-to-weight ratio, biocompatibility, and hypoallergenic properties, titanium quickly became a favorite among jewelers looking to create jewelry that is not only visually stunning but also durable and comfortable to wear.
Unique Features of Titanium Hinged Rings
A titanium hinged ring is a masterpiece of engineering and design. Crafted with precision, these rings boast a sleek, modern aesthetic that effortlessly blends with any style. The defining feature is the hinged mechanism, allowing for easy wear and removal without compromising on security. This innovation makes them perfect for individuals with dexterity issues or anyone who appreciates convenient jewelry.
Furthermore, titanium's hypoallergenic nature means that those with sensitive skin can confidently wear these rings without fear of irritation. Its remarkable durability ensures that your titanium hinged ring will maintain its beauty and integrity for a lifetime, withstanding everyday wear and tear.
Versatility in Design
Titanium hinged rings are available in an array of designs to suit every taste and occasion. From simple and elegant bands to intricate, gem-studded creations, the versatility of titanium allows for a wide range of design possibilities. You can choose a classic polished finish for a timeless look or opt for a brushed or matte finish for a more contemporary appearance. The beauty of titanium is that it can be customized to reflect your unique style and personality.
Durability and Maintenance
One of the standout qualities of titanium hinged rings is their exceptional durability. Titanium is highly resistant to scratches, tarnish, and corrosion, ensuring that your ring maintains its original luster for years to come. Unlike other metals, titanium won't react with chemicals, making it safe for daily wear.
Maintenance is a breeze; all it typically requires is a gentle cleaning with mild soap and water. Its robustness means that it won't bend or warp easily, so you can wear your titanium hinged ring with confidence in even the most active of lifestyles.
Symbolism and Significance
Jewelry often holds deep symbolism and personal significance. A titanium hinged ring can represent various meaningful moments in life, from commitment and love to strength and resilience. Its unyielding nature symbolizes the enduring bond between two people, making it a popular choice for engagement and wedding rings. Moreover, its lightweight quality can serve as a reminder of the importance of flexibility and adaptability in one's journey through life.

The Sun: "The Queen bans Meghan Markle from wearing jewellery made famous by Diana – but Kate Middleton is allowed". I don't remember MM wearing jewels from the Royal Colection aside from her wedding tiara. Just some earring "loaned" by HM, but were actually merch and Diana's personal jewellery that Harry owns wth Wills. I was surprise she didn't wore any brooches from HM to their tour to NZ, Aus like Kate did. This is significant, imo.
I don’t think she was worn any known “royal collection” pieces, but I honestly don't know enough about the jewelry to say for sure. They keep trotting out jewelry no one has ever seen and claiming it’s a loan or a gift from the royals, so who knows?
