[MOD] Steady Sit & Seat Any Sim

This was a mod I created before for private use. Some friends said they urgently needed this, so I reconstructed it and here it is.

I've been bothered by how Sims would hastily get up from chairs as soon as I told them to sit. That's why I made this mod as an attempt to alleviate the issue and provide a relatively more "steady" sitting experience.

This mod adds the following new interaction options:

"Steady Sit" option for chairs (and pool edges). It allows Sims to sit down while restricting most of the common autonomous interactions that might prompt them to stand up. This will help Sims stay put in their seats longer instead of hastily standing up or frequently changing seats. They are still able to initiate interactions that they can do while sitting.

"Seat Sims Here" option for chairs (and pool edges), allowing you to select one or multiple Sims and have them sit on the clicked or nearby chairs. Each picked Sim will enter Steady Sit state.

"Seat All Diners" option to the floor in restaurants. This lets you instruct all diners to sit. Sims with claimed tables will return to their seats and continue their dining process, while unassigned sims will sit at random seats in non-dining areas. All diners (of that moment) who sit or are already sitting will enter Steady Sit state.

"Leave Seat" option for all Sims in the Steady Sitting state, allowing them to immediately end sitting and stand up. (You can also simply initiate any interaction from pie menu like "Go Here""Call Over".)

Theoretically, Sims will stay seated for up to 240 Sim minutes. But it's not overly forceful and Sims can still get up for various reasons, such as low motives, player direct interactions that require standing, or any higher-priority autonomous interactions that hasn't been restricted. Steady Sit state will end as soon as Sims' bottom leave the seat.

This mod was created based on my usual playstyle and environment and it helped my Sims remain seated for the longest possible time without problems. However it's not a one-size-fits-all solution (I do wish I knew one), and its effectiveness may vary depending on situations and other mods installed that introduce new autonomous actions. You may find it works well or not so well in your environment. Unfortunately I haven't tested it at special events like weddings as I've never played that part of game. Feedback is appreciated if you'd like to give it a try.

Least fave: Morris and Pierre. Uninterested in their beef, reminds her of the council. Lewis because she knows Marnie could do better

Romance/Roommate: Leah solo, loves thst she gives you a sculpture, elliot in co-op because he's romantic but divorces him to marry Skye because the ring is pretty

Fave Activity: tailoring clothes, made the dresses for her and Skye's wedding

Skill they max out first: farming, mostly the animals. Gave all of them cute names

Fave Secret note: 19. Really cemented her dislike for Lewis but loves the absurdity of him having a golden statue of himself in the game. Will absolutely continue to place it around town when she needs a laugh

Fave Holiday/Event: dance of the moonlight jellies, loves the song and thinks that the rare green jelly was something that only happens rarely not everytime

Sky

Farm: has played on every farm but loves the Meadowland one the most since it's the newest

Co-op: is the reason that Mel, Jayce, and Viktor are on the forest farm. Thinks it's the best for beginners

Fave villager(s): Maru, Penny, Harvey, and Evelyn

Least fave: Mr.Qi, something about him just freaks her out

Romance/Roommate: Harvey is who she marries most her solo, thinks he is so sweet and relaxing, has married Elliot, Penny, and Sebastian. Maru when it's co-op, hated divorcing her but hadn't ever married another player so wanted to try it with Mel

Fave Activity: starting a million files, helping new players get started, has acheived perfection on one save but is who introduced perfection to Viktor

Skill they max out first: Foraging. Always waits til Saturday and mass collects

Fave Secret note: 11, thinks that the photo is so so sweet and wishes that there were more sweet moments like that in the game

Fave Holiday/Event: Dance of the Moonlight Jellies. It was the flower dance because it's such a first game experience but didn't have the heart to tell Mel that the green jelly happens everytime so when it happened it reminded her of the effort put into the game being a magical experience.

Mods: usually just aesthetic mods, but helped Viktor install optmization ones

Farm: beach, likes that it can give you random supplies

Co-op: forest farm with Viktor, Mel, and Sky, eventually it would be just Sky and Mel playing it on co-op because he prefers solo play on beach farm

Fave villager(s): Evelyn, Gus, Gunther

Least fave: pierre (biased from viktor) wanted to be friends with clint since he was a blacksmith but his attitude made Jayce not like him. He won't admit it.

Romance/Roommate: would just live with Viktor and would be the one to get the marriage ring if Viktor played co-op long enough.

Fave Activity: Volcano forge, combinging rings and leveling up weapons

Skill they max out first: Mining, collected so much ore early on. Especially in the winters of year 1 and 2

Fave Secret note: 27, after his review with grandpa he was sad that he wouldn't see or hear from him again but finding note 27 made him really happy and gave him hope that there would be more of him in the game elsewhere (would try to get perfection but lost steam on the game)

Fave Holiday/Event: desert festival, likes the calico egg mini games and the stalls remind him of the young inventors comp

Mods: new items to craft, loved the farm computer and wanted more things like it

Farm: hill top farm, just likes the layout aesthetically

Co-op: has one with skye, mel, and Jayce but ends up secretly hitting perfection on his own farm

Fave villager(s): sebastian, demetrius, and harvey

Least fave: Pierre. After the first time a villager said that Pierre shit on his produce and claimed the good ones as his own he's had beef. Wanted to steal Caroline away because of it.

Romance/Roommate: jayce gave him puppy dog eyes when he considered marrying anyone in game, was only going to do it for perfection, ends up living with Krobus

Fave Activity: building the junimo huts and changing the junimo colors

Skill they max out first: foraging, just ended up walking around the map a lot when he was in early game and would picked up anything he could

Fave Secret note: 12, loved that you could go digging through the trash for random stuff. Became his favourite after he finished 3 community bundles of it.

Fave Holiday/Event: night market, reminds him of bartering in Zaun markets with his mother when he was younger

Farm: meadowlands, blue grass reminded him of Powder/Jinx

Co-op: fourcorners for him, isha, and jinx and would end up doing most of the work

Fave villager(s): Linus, Penny, and Krobus

Least fave: Lewis, passive agressive white man pissed him off. Was going to be his fave because the stache reminded him of Heimerdinger. Dislikes gunther too, liked the artifacts at first but that man takes all the credit and it pisses him off.

Romance/Roommate: torn between Leah as an artistic naturalist girl and Emily as a blue haired baddie. Would want to marry Jinx in game but Jinx wouldn't play it long enough to get the ring

Fave Activity: Community Board and Help Wanted, likes the random side quests and also loves helping the community.

Skill they max out first: Farming but it came from all his work with the animals not crops.

Fave Secret note: 14, liked the stone statue but gives it to Isha because she loves the Junimos

Fave Holiday/Event: Feast of the Winter Star. Feels like its the best community event and loves hunting for the best gift for his assigned village

Least fave: doesn't care enough to dislike anyone but will pick a person to walk into and block their path everyday. Thinks the lil angry bubble that pops up is funny

Romance/Roommate: doesn't care enough to do that. Accidentally dated and broke up with half the village because she would buy bouqets and wilted bouqets and give them out randomly

Fave Activity: Junimo Cart, thinks it's funny that people hate the whale level so much

Skill they max out first: foraging. Picking up random things over the many in game years finally maxed it out

Fave Secret note: 13, gave the junimo plush to Isha and she loved it

Fave Holiday/Event: Egg Hunt, likes beating Abigail but really just wants Isha to win on co-op

Fave Secret note: 10, introduced her to the skull cavern.

Least fave: Lewis. Exudes elitist pilitie energy and she could sniff it off him immediately.

Romance/Roommate: doesn't romance anyone but does adopt Leo. Doesn't want anyone to know about it but the ginger island stuff is her favorite part of the game.

Fave Activity: liked the Pirate's Wife Quest and the matching of items to people. Felt like the conclusion was nice and realistic

Skill they max out first: Combat, mostly because the mines since the farm gives so little xp

Fave Secret note: 15, likes the mermaid show and kept the pearl the rest of her play through

Fave Holiday/Event: Night Market. Most reminiscent event of Zaun and likes the lil guy who sells the paintings.

Mods: doesnt care enough to do mods. Woukd have considered them before Jinx started pranking her with them

Sam Outfits Revamp in DSV 5.2.0!

Showcasing Sam's revamped outfits in Diverse Stardew Valley 5.2.0! In addition to giving him a full set of two outfits per season, Sam also now has skate gear when skating on Fridays or at his spouse patio, four randomised binder colours if the Sam Binder option is enabled, two work outfits, two Spirits' Eve costumes, and randomised headphone overlays!

Spouses React to Player 'Death' Continuation — Modifies 'death' event at Hospital, Mines, or Island to include your Spouse (or Ex). Compatible with 1.6+.

Stardew Aquarium — So excited this updated! Adds an aquarium you can donate fish to and get special rewards.

Train Station — Creates a train network and allows mods to add maps reachable through the train station.

Traveling Skill — Adds a skill, Traveling, that allows the player to unlock faster walking speeds via, well, walking around.

Vanilla Plus Professions — Expands the vanilla skill system by adding additional professions at level 15 as well as adding in a who knew talent system.

Wildflour's Atelier Goods — An all in one artisan good expansion mod. Add as many or as few categories as you like to run the atelier (shop) of your dreams. Highly configurable.

We’ve confirmed a week! The official disabled Billy and Steve week will run from Monday the 24th to Sunday the 30th of July.

For anyone who hasn’t seen them yet here are the prompts- (the prompts are divided into one big theme or primary prompt for the day and then further divided either into a Billy prompt, a Steve prompt or a harringrove prompt- however you can just go off the more overarching prompt if you’d like. All fics/fanworks must include either an explicitly disabled Billy, an explicitly disabled Steve or an explicitly disabled harringrove. That is to say the fic or fanwork must portray at least either Billy or Steve or both as disabled to be considered part of the event.)

Monday the 24ths prompt will be music- a concert for Billy, first day of school for Steve and wedding dance for harringrove

Tuesday the 25th is about family- Billy’s is about a family reunion, Steves is his bond with Dustin and Harringrove is about starting their own family.

Wednesday the 26th is about special interests- sea turtles for Billy, Bluey for Steve and Harringroves is about a special interest they both share.

Thursday the 27ths prompt is about personal heroes- Billy’s prompt is conversations with a role model, Steves is George Micheal and Harringroves personal hero prompt is Joyce Byers.

Friday the 28th is about new diagnosis’s- OCD for Billy, AuDHD for Steve (autism and adhd) and the harringrove prompt is Steve being diagnosed with dyslexia and Billy being diagnosed with bpd on the same day.

Saturday the 29th is about relationships- Billy’s prompt for a formative best friend, Steve’s prompt about his friendship with Carol and the harringrove prompt is about how their friends react to or perceive their relationship.

And finally Sunday the 30th is about invisible disability awareness- Billy’s prompt is about using a mobility aid, Steve’s prompt is a low spoons day and harringroves final prompt is an autistic for autistic harringrove.

Another Sims 4 type mod, it's what is says on the tin.

His, if you don't know me, I don't make mods, I just make ideas. And I have a real banger today. (As in it's banging around in my head and giving me a migraine until I put it into words, I am sorry it's not in a good format and just a ramble)

I. Need. Cinematics. I never played the Sims 2 on PC, only on PS2 and that didn't have cinematics. (It did not have ages other than young adult either and I do not remember ever finding a way to make sims related so it led to awkward situations of sims made of me and my siblings autonomously flirting with one another)

REGARDLESS. Birthdays, special events. All well and good and prime for cinematic masterpieces. There could even be one for the new Death pack for funerals. Actually, most parties could be turned into cinematics. Make it so much easier and flow better.

Especially the wedding pack. The cinematic would be longer or shorter depending on what you choose to do at the wedding, but everything is done without you having to micromanage. You just get to watch all your hard work come to fruition.

But you know what else needs cinematics? The acting career. The trailer looked cool, and I think the career is fun, but it's not the same. You should get a gig for a week, and film scenes throughout it. Each day after work you can ask to see the footage and the cameraman or producer or whatever will show you what you did that day via cinematic. At the end of the week, you can watch it all put together in a short movie. I need it. (This is another mod, but I need there to be movies based off the other packs that you can do to make a bigger variety. A western from the horse ranch pack, Halloween movies from the death pack, something magical from the Spellcaster)

I feel like implementing cinematics into the Sims 4 would be a pain in the ass anyway, but imagine if there were different variations in them depending on traits. Some sims confident in their bodies when they become teens, some awkward.

Cinematics. For. Aspiration. Completion. Not each level, just the entire aspiration completion. Super Parent is interacting with a kid or grandkid, green thumb looking at their impressive garden. Things like that. Just... cinematics.

What I've changed:

-Objectives:

Newer greeting types count for introductions.

For drinking at the bar, the drink from the Reaper's Rewards event and nectar from Horse Ranch count. Both have their own special interactions and needed to be listed separately.

For serving drinks, the bar from the bistro kit (why is this its own interaction?), baby shower drinks (I'm not telling you where to have your parties, or how to celebrate births/adoptions/science babies), drinks from Batuu, and a few others from older packs got added.

Added more parties. Dance parties can't be goaled, so they can't be added. Neither can wedding parties from My Wedding Stories (I probably would have added some of the pre-wedding parties and the reception if they could) or funerals (I probably would not have added them).

-Trait:

Valid for reincarnation.

The trait can only be earned through gameplay by completing the aspiration, but if you have a mod that allows reward trait inheritance, it can by inherited--it's available for all ages because of that. There won't be any benefits before they're teens, but they can have it.

-Buffs:

Had to be remade. Should work mostly the same as the originals. I think.

The karaoke bar buffs have a 60% chance of appearing when at a karaoke bar. I tried 75% to start with, but my test sim always had both, and +4 positive buffs and 3x relationship gain is a lot, especially compared to the other venues (half that with only one buff). Most of the time, a sim will get one. Sometimes they'll get both. Rarely they'll get neither.

-Works for wants, discovery quests, and the soul's journey.

-Updated tuning and SimData for the current patch.

-Added strings. This time I might not have broken previous translations, I can't really say, but at best you'll have some things in English and some not.
