1 this is much funnier than i expected. i'm pretty sure we're in the lighthearted getting-you-invested phase, because to make it really hurt you have to make me care about these people first, but i still wasn't expecting it. and yes i have been forewarned of The Horrors, and the few glimpses we've gotten of the original timeline are Super Yikes. taxian-jun's wedding? yikes on bikes.

2 aggressively worried about shi mei. he seems like a sweetie and i do not want him to either turn out to not be a sweetie or die again. both would make me sad. but mo ran for sure will not have the emotional intelligence to realize he's not really in love with shi mei so much as the idea of shi mei until we get through some serious character growth.

A) In this fic Wei Ying is the God of the Underworld. Infact everybody is a God here. And Wei Ying has a town or city built in his domain for the souls of the dead and I think the Wens lived there. Also the other Gods considered him a pariah. I remember this one scene where he comes up or goes down the stairs from heaven which leads to the Underworld after a conference with the Gods.

B) I remember only one scene from this fic. It was during the Wen Indoctrination where after Wei Ying was sent to the cell with the Dog he acts dead and Lan Wangji and Jiang Wanyin are heartbroken. Wwx seals himself inside the cold pond cave and puts up a barrier- I guess prepared to stay there forever? Lwj somehow gets in there to stay with him, and has conversations with the demon. The demon is extremely strong, throws him around and hurts him a little. His brother and uncle are pacing outside the barrier demanding he come out. The elders want to execute wwx which is why lwj is in the cave in the first place.

It’s canon setting but I can’t remember the time line- war? No war? Wwx and lwj aren’t together yet though. I remember this fic being pretty good- I’d love to reread it!

Mihaela and her style in the XV century

What’s under her clothes?

Starting with her undergarments, like most women of her time, she wore a chemise under her dress, but hers was a little different, with short skirts and no sleeves, favoring mobility and coolness (1st image, top left). A pair of socks was a must, usually white, always reaching just above the knee (2nd image, top right), as for her shoes, she wears short length boots indoors (3rd image, bottom left), and high length outdoors (4th image, bottom right).

Daily attire

Her dresses are made of the finest materials, its fits tighter on her arms and torso, with very revealing cleavages, but looser as it goes down to the skirts (though not as loose as other ladies of her time wore, since she didn't like much volume in the skirts), always in the colors red, black, gold, purple and sometimes blue.

As for her jewelry, she never takes off her wedding ring and the ring of Styria, not even to sleep or bathe. Loves rubies and sapphires, but has a vast collection of different gems, and she’ll never be seen without a necklace, a bracelet and a nice pair of earrings matching her dress.

Balls and other important events

More gold, more embroidery, more velvet, more expensive jewelry, more everything! Mihaela will be the best dressed in any event she attends, the others don't even stand a chance.

Hair

If you're familiar with my writing, you know how sacrade hair is for Mihaela and how much time I spend describing her beautiful big brown curls. The images below illustrate her hair perfectly: length and color (left) and curl definition/type (right). She's somewhere in between 2b and 2c.

She never wears her hair down though, not in public. Many women in her time had the same sense of preserving their hair for their husbands alone, but Mihaela did that not out of prudeness, far from it, but it felt right allowing no one but Adrian to see it. She didn't exactly hid them, but her braids, buns, hairnets and veils send a clear message that they were a special part of her that should be preserved.

Oh, and when I say she wears veils and headdresses THIS is what I mean👇🏻. The veil isn’t to hide, it is for… well, veiling. People could still see her hair underneath the thin fabrics, but there still was something over it.

Changes to a character's appearance, part 2b

The final alteration to Lithera's appearance lies with her hair. Lithera gives both versions of Lord Mage Indago Berum each a chunk of her hair for research purposes, which inspires her to get a haircut. Lithera wants to use this as a bonding experience with Pellus, who reluctantly agrees. Due to Pellus' fears about hurting Lithera, he only cuts the hair that frames her face.

Lithera's haircut elicited a strong negative reaction from some fans, but personally, I think the shorter hairs work well with a lot of her hairstyles.

To summarize both posts, Lithera shows her devotion to Pellus by wearing the wedding ring and red accents to match Pellus' eyes. The shiny fur cloak and pocket watch are tokens of Pellus' adoration and Lithera's hair is a symbol of Pellus' presence in her life, as well as his concern for her safety.

ID: 1. Series of flashbacks in sepia tone. Nandor stretching his arms out toward Guillermo, hissing in an attempt to be intimidating, while Guillermo shrugs in response, unaffected. Nandor and Guillermo sitting on either side of a chess board, Guillermo grinning happily as he moves a black knight and Nandor dropping his jaw in affront. Close up of Guillermo in a robe, glaring and dripping wet, as he drags a towel off his head. Guillermo standing in his vest and trenchcoat, stake in one hand and flashlight in another as he issues commands to someone behind him. Close up of Guillermo sleeping in his wedding outfit, head lolled forward on his chest and jacket pulled over him like a blanket, a crude penis drawn on his forehead. Waist up of Guillermo in his versace shirt grinning shyly at the viewer as he adjusts the gold watch on his wrist. Multiple faded shots of Nandor and Guillermo from the previous act, Guillermo practically sitting in his lap as they lean closer and closer. Present Nandor's dialogue continues: "Like, 'oh, I killed a few vampires and lived without you for a year and I didn't even miss you'. And now acting like he is so strong...and clever...and handsome...and selfless... And the thought of him leaving me is like a stake through my chest - stakes that he is always sharpening, by the way! And it is not as sexy as he thinks it is! Love is supposed to feel good! It is supposed to be easy; it is not supposed to hurt like this! And I... I..." 2b. Bursting into focus and out of the sepia is one last memory of Guillermo from Nandor's POV, hair disheveled, eyes red and tired but pulled wide and shining as he stares at the viewer in shock and awe, whispering, "You love me."

3a. Close up of Nandor back in the present on a mottled brown background, a bloom of white forming a halo behind his head. His hands pause on a lock of hair he had been anxiously tugging at - the same lock he had gripped in the final part of act 2. He stares into the distance as his eyes widen and shine with wonder, cheeks flushing purple. He says aloud, "I am...in love with Guillermo?" 3b. Repeat, smaller, as Nandor looks up and glares, flustered, at the crew offscreen, spluttering "Why are you exchanging currency? I'm having a big revelation over here!" /end ID

"Western Cultural Appropriation of 4B has induced ample low-hanging-fruit counter-memes. Thankfully so, to spare everyone the “2B or not 2B, that is the question…”-related references. Without the prospect of sex, men generally would not care for dating women. Without the prospect of children and/or continued sex, men generally would not care for marriage (perhaps jokes on those men who get dead-bedroomed). Without sex, children will not result (aside from side cases like IVF or whatnot). Women striking by abstaining from 1) marriage, 2) dating, 3) birthing, and 4) sex would be just abstaining from 4) sex. Like how me hypothetically striking by abstaining from 1) dunking a basketball, 2) spiking a volleyball, 3) running 110m hurdles, and 4) jumping would be just me striking by abstaining from 4) jumping. Given assortative mating, to the degree female Harris-supporters would be able to form a cartel to punish men by way of withholding sex, they’d with greater likelihood be punishing male Harris-supporters—not male Trump-supporters. It’s funny how online women, despite their insistence that women have value beyond sex and being Birthing Persons, immediately turn to the threat of withholding sex and bearing children when push comes to shove. Their revealed opinions suggest they know that, if not for the bargaining chip of being gatekeepers of sex and children, their collective or individual negotiating power with men would plummet, perhaps to zero. Some part of them knows how their bread gets buttered. It’s also funny how many women, despite supposedly being the empathetic sex, can’t fathom or are outright hostile to men having preferences, priorities, interests that don’t revolve around serving women. Online women like to prattle about how men aren’t entitled to this or that, such as sex or female attraction (even, or especially, within marriage). However, they sure look like they feel entitled to men voting the way they want (in addition to other things like relationships/marriage if sex has already occurred, expensive engagement rings, lavish weddings, husband’s attraction regardless if she’s aged and/or gotten fat, to be wined and dined and taken on cUtE dates and vacations). Women should look out for themselves and vote for their own perceived best interests. Men should be Decent Human Beings and vote for women’s perceived best interests."
