May i ask how you're learning coding for wepages? i wanna start learning it too but idk where TwT
heya anon! so, it's been almost two years since i've started my coding journey...
it's a really hard process, i must admit... i'm gonna say the most useless thing ever but it's what worked: practice!
details under the cut (trust me there's a lot)
TL DR; do whatever is fun and make sure to practice often!
i started by using sadgrl's layout builder and in 2-3 days my first iteration was born this monstrocity was rescued from archive.org and dates back to august of 2022 since i have this awful habit of not keeping all website versions archived on github
Tumblr media
i spent so many hours tinkering with the layout,, i didn't knew what things did so stack overflow and coding servers were my best friends
a few of my 2023 layouts were just lost to time... ah well... and we land onto the first iteration of catboo i coded from the ground up + it's graphics update a few months later. these are from march and september, respectively
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it was not the best, but i really loved them... also nope, no layouts got lost inbetween,, i just barely updated in those months
there was a christmas layout that got lost to time too, but it was mostly me putting xmas hats on all the graphics
aaaand there were a lot of months inbetween the next layout, catboo v2. i spent roughly 4 months coding and making the graphics for catboo v2
Tumblr media
it takes time and patience, anon
this is all my personal experience! it might be different for you...
wanna try to make a site? i recommend using vscode with the live server extension, this way you can see your updates in real time
watch youtube videos, use templates, do whatever you want!! have fun!!
as for website host, i recommend either neocities (where i host) or nekoweb (by dimden)
have fun, anon! i wish you luck (and patience. you'll need it)

Mastery Reflection Journal Assignment Class #8, IMK 622
Here, is a snippet of class and some insights from Greene (2013).  Firstly, Google leads in search engines Statista (2021).  As such much of the digital marketing focused on techniques which optimize this top search engine. Google is constantly refining their algorithms, even daily..  For example, Google business profile (2020) replaced Google + (nd.).  Ellis (2020) noted the complexities of advanced SEO using Google to promote your business. Ahrefs (2018) described many of the concepts that were learned in this class, succinctly. Most SEO whether local or global will focus on Google as a centerpiece of the SEO plan. One constant is change. This is why it is important to have continuing education in whatever profession you are in.
In this class many other areas were covered. The text book that the class covered was by Moran and Hunt (2015). In addition, there were other areas that were covered. Many SEO tools were discussed, implemented that digital marketers, webmasters and managers often use to increase their conversion rates by the optimizing of their sites.  This strategic refinement digital marketing best practices were utilized.  An segment from a reference book on achieving goals follows.
In Greene’s book (2013) which chronicles individual success stories reports that success often happens in a fashion that is not straightforward. Greene depicts the journey of Robert Morris and Paul Graham partners in business as exemplary success. Along the way to their pinnacles of success were all sorts of twists and turns. These two gentlemen were pioneers in the early days of the web and computers. Besides having a stellar education, they enjoyed tinkering with code and their journey toward success is depicted in Greene’s book.  Accordingly, Graham obtained a PhD from Harvard in Computer Science and met Robert Morris at Harvard. Both of them shared a penchant for hacking, coding and computers decided to go into business together. Details of how they came to develop their inventions that are part of the web now.  Details of Robert Morris’s conviction for creating one of the first worms while he was at Cornell University in a PhD program around 1991 Court Listener (nd.) after he had graduated from Harvard as an undergraduate were not detailed. This case was familiar because I wrote my first Master’s thesis on the CFAA and studied this seminal case.  Robert Morris also holds a PhD from Harvard and is a professor at M.I.T. Despite this Morris and his friend were able to become successful inventors, authors and entrepreneurs’ Y Combinator (nd.).
