Title: Web of Desperation.
Summary: Eli's attempt at bravery against the Green Goblin nearly ends in disaster, until Spider-Man steps in to save him.
Pairing: Eli Michaelson × Fem! Reader
Warnings: Fighting, chaos, anger.
Author's Notes: I’m honestly blown away that you guys liked the idea so much! When I started this, I didn’t really plan on continuing—it was just a way to clear my head. But I’m thrilled that some of you enjoyed it! Now, you’ll just have to wait a few more centuries for the next chapter. 😅 Thanks for sticking around!
First and Second part here.
Also read on Ao3
Eli swore as he sat in the traffic jam, drumming his fingers impatiently on the steering wheel. He glanced at his watch, realizing he was going to be late for his lecture at the university. The lines of cars stretched as far as the eye could see, barely inching forward.
"What the hell is causing this?" he muttered under his breath, his frustration mounting. He noticed people getting out of their cars, craning their necks to see what was happening. With a resigned sigh, Eli did the same, stepping out of his car and wondering what fresh hell was unfolding.
The scene was chaotic. People were pointing and shouting, their faces twisted with fear and confusion. Eli pushed his way through the crowd, his curiosity piqued despite his irritation. As he reached the front of the mass of people, he saw the cause of the commotion.
Hovering above the street was a figure clad in a dark green, armored suit, a grotesque mask with a manic grin covering his face. The figure cackled maniacally, riding on a glider that emitted a low, sinister hum. Eli's blood ran cold as he recognized the villain from news reports: the Green Goblin.
"Good morning, citizens of New York!" the Green Goblin's voice boomed through the street, dripping with mockery and malevolence. "I hope you're all having a fantastic day because I plan to make it a memorable one!"
The Goblin raised his hand, revealing a pumpkin-shaped bomb. He tossed it into the crowd, sending people scattering in terror. Eli's instincts kicked in, and he dove to the side, narrowly avoiding the explosion that followed. The blast rocked the street, leaving a crater where the bomb had landed.
Eli scrambled to his feet, his mind racing. He needed to find cover, to get away from this madman. He darted into a nearby alley, his heart pounding in his chest. He could hear the Green Goblin's deranged laughter echoing through the street, punctuated by the screams of frightened civilians.
Peering around the corner, Eli saw the Green Goblin swoop down, grabbing a woman by her hair and lifting her into the air. "Let's see if anyone here can play hero," the Goblin sneered, dangling the woman over the edge of his glider.
Eli's mind raced with anger and fear. He was no hero, but he couldn't just stand by and watch this madness unfold. He glanced around, spotting a length of pipe lying among the debris. He grabbed it, his knuckles white with tension.
"Hey, Goblin!" he shouted, stepping out into the open. "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?"
The Green Goblin's head snapped around, his eyes narrowing behind the mask. He dropped the woman unceremoniously onto the rooftop below and turned his attention to Eli.
"And who might you be?" the Goblin taunted, his glider drifting closer. "A brave little lamb come to the slaughter?"
Eli's grip on the pipe tightened, his heart pounding in his chest. Why did he get himself into this? Why didn't he just run for his life and let the others fend for themselves? Eli cursed himself, but his pride wouldn't let him back down now. He did what he did best: act arrogant and belittle others.
"Listen here, you tin-can reject from a Halloween store," Eli snarled, trying to mask his fear with bravado. "Why don't you take your second-rate theatrics somewhere else? Or are you too scared to face someone with an IQ above room temperature?"
The Green Goblin's eyes flashed with rage. "You dare mock me, you insignificant worm? I'll crush you like the insect you are!"
Goblin advanced towards Eli on his glider, the mechanical wings slicing through the air with a menacing hum. Eli’s grip on the pipe faltered, and he let go in surprise as Goblin's clawed hand shot out, seizing him by the throat. The cold metal pressed into Eli's skin, and he gasped as he was hoisted into the air.
"Not so arrogant now, are we?" the Goblin jeered, his voice a venomous hiss. Eli clawed at Goblin's arm, his eyes wide with fear as the ground fell away beneath him. They soared higher and higher, the city shrinking below, until the skyscrapers seemed like mere toys.
"Please, wait! Let's talk about this," Eli stammered, desperation clear in his voice. "You don't want to do this. You're a genius, a real visionary!"
Goblin's laughter was a dark, grating sound. "Flattery won't save you," he sneered. "But it's amusing to see you beg."
Without warning, Goblin released his grip. Eli's scream tore through the air as he plummeted, the wind whipping past him in a dizzying rush. Panic clawed at his mind, and he braced for the impact that would surely be his end.
Just as Eli was about to meet the ground, a firm grip caught him, halting his fall. The air was knocked out of his lungs, and he clung desperately to his savior. Eli's heart raced as he looked up, squinting against the sunlight.
"Looks like I caught something more annoying than a cat in a tree," quipped Spider-Man, his tone light and teasing. He swung effortlessly through the air, his web shooters propelling them both to safety.
Eli's relief was quickly replaced by fury. "You!" he spat, recognizing the red and blue suit. "I didn't ask for your help!"
"Well, excuse me for saving your life," Spider-Man shot back, a smirk evident behind his mask. "Next time, I'll let you become a street pancake."
Spider-Man landed gracefully on a nearby rooftop, setting Eli down with a flourish. "There you go, safe and sound. Try not to get into any more trouble, okay, Professor Michaelson?"
Eli's face twisted in rage as he glared at the masked hero. "I don't need your pity," he snarled. "And I certainly don't need you to play the hero for me."
Spider-Man shrugged, unfazed by Eli's outburst. "Hey, just doing my job. But seriously, maybe leave the hero stuff to the professionals. You’re better suited to scaring undergrads with pop quizzes."
Eli's fists clenched, his pride burning at the indignity of it all. How dare Spider-Man save him? How dare he humiliate him in front of everyone?
He stared after the masked hero, watching as Spider-Man launched himself with a web to go deal with the Green Goblin. Something Spider-Man had said lingered in Eli's mind. Wait, how did Spider-Man know that Eli was a professor? Eli opened his mouth to shout after him, running to the edge of the rooftop.
"Hey, Spider-Man!" he called out, his voice tinged with frustration. "How did you know I was a teacher?"
But Spider-Man was already swinging through the air, ignoring Eli's question as he pursued the Green Goblin. Eli's anger boiled over. He shouted after Spider-Man again, his voice echoing through the city streets.
"Come back here! I'm not done with you!"
Spider-Man paid no heed, his attention focused on the chaotic scene below where the Green Goblin continued to wreak havoc. Eli watched, seething, as Spider-Man closed in on the villain, deftly dodging the Goblin's attacks with acrobatic finesse.
The Green Goblin threw another pumpkin bomb, and Spider-Man quickly webbed it up, tossing it skyward where it exploded harmlessly. The Goblin screeched in frustration, his glider dipping and weaving erratically as he tried to shake Spider-Man off his tail.
Eli's anger turned to a mix of fear and awe as he watched the battle unfold. He could see the Green Goblin's eyes glowing with madness, his laughter echoing through the city. It was like a scene from a nightmare, the kind of chaos that could only exist in a world where supervillains and heroes clashed in the sky.
Suddenly, the Goblin's glider malfunctioned, sputtering and losing altitude. He careened towards the rooftop where Eli stood, and without thinking, Eli dove out of the way, barely avoiding the crashing glider. The impact sent a shockwave through the building, shaking the very foundations.
Eli scrambled to his feet, his heart pounding. He saw the Green Goblin rising from the wreckage, his mask cracked but his malevolent grin intact. The villain's eyes locked onto Eli, and a chill ran down his spine.
"Ah, the brave insect," the Goblin sneered, advancing towards him. "You thought you could challenge me? Pathetic."
Eli backed away, his mind racing. He had to get out of here, but there was nowhere to run. The Goblin raised his arm, a menacing blade extending from his gauntlet, and Eli's life flashed before his eyes.
"Not so fast, Gobby!" Spider-Man's voice rang out, and Eli turned to see the hero swinging in at the last moment, kicking the Green Goblin square in the chest and sending him flying backward.
Spider-Man landed in front of Eli, his stance protective. "You okay, Professor?" he quipped, glancing over his shoulder. "Maybe next time, stick to grading papers and leave the bad guys to me."
Eli's pride flared up again. "I don't need your help, Spider-Man," he snapped, though his voice trembled with the remnants of fear. "I can handle myself."
"Yeah, you were doing a bang-up job of it," Spider-Man shot back, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a lunatic to deal with."
Spider-Man turned his attention back to the Green Goblin, who was already getting back on his feet, ready for another round. The two clashed again, trading blows and quips as they danced through the ruins of the rooftop.
Eli watched, a mix of horror and fascination playing across his face. He couldn't deny the skill and bravery Spider-Man displayed, even as he resented the hero's presence. Despite his hatred for the masked vigilante, a small part of him was grudgingly impressed.
The Green Goblin let out an angry scream, realizing he was not going to win this battle. Desperation flashed in his eyes as he grabbed a pumpkin bomb from the wreckage of his glider. With a wild swing, he hurled the bomb, missing Spider-Man by a mile. But Spider-Man quickly realized the bomb's true target: a nearby news helicopter, hovering to film the fight.
As the bomb struck the helicopter's tail, the aircraft spun wildly, its balance lost. Spider-Man's eyes widened in horror as the helicopter spiraled out of control, descending rapidly toward the ground.
"Not today, Gobby!" Spider-Man shouted, leaping into action.
The Green Goblin seized the opportunity to flee, jumping from the building and disappearing into the cityscape below. But Spider-Man had no time to worry about the escaping villain; the people in the helicopter needed him.
He swung into the air, webs shooting out with precision. "I always wanted to be on the news, but this is ridiculous!" he quipped, trying to lighten the tense atmosphere as he approached the helicopter.
Spider-Man landed on the helicopter's skidding tail, the wind from the rotors whipping around him. He shot web after web, anchoring the aircraft to the nearby buildings, trying to slow its descent. "Hold on tight, folks! Spidey Airlines is here for a safe, but bumpy landing!"
The pilots and the reporter inside the helicopter were pale with fear, clutching their seats as Spider-Man fought to stabilize the aircraft. His muscles strained as he pulled against the force of gravity, his webs stretching but holding firm.
"Just another day in the life," Spider-Man muttered to himself, shooting another web to the rooftop of a nearby skyscraper. The helicopter's descent slowed, but it was still spinning out of control.
"Okay, new plan," Spider-Man said, his mind racing. He leapt to the front of the helicopter, gripping the nose tightly. "Time to play tug-of-war with gravity!"
Using every ounce of his strength, Spider-Man pulled the helicopter's nose upward, trying to level it out. The aircraft wobbled precariously but began to steady. He then shot more webs to nearby buildings, creating a complex web network to catch the helicopter.
"Come on, baby, you can do this," he grunted, his muscles burning with effort. "I've got you!"
Finally, the helicopter's spinning stopped, and it hovered, tangled in Spider-Man's webbing. The crowd below erupted in cheers as the pilots regained control, safely lowering the helicopter to the ground.
Spider-Man landed lightly on the street, his chest heaving from the exertion. He turned to the crowd, giving a mock bow. "And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you catch a helicopter!"
The pilots and the reporter emerged, visibly shaken but unharmed. They approached Spider-Man, gratitude shining in their eyes. "Thank you, Spider-Man. You saved our lives."
"Just doing my job," Spider-Man replied with a grin.
Someone then shouted for Spider-Man, and you turned around to see Eli running up to you, looking a little out of breath. As he reached you, his face was a mix of frustration and curiosity.
"Spider, wait!" he called out, his voice tinged with urgency. "How the hell did you know I was a teacher?"
You froze for a split second, feeling the weight of his question. Your mind raced, trying to come up with a plausible explanation. Quickly, you responded, your voice steady but a bit nervous. "I read a lot of newspapers, Professor Michaelson. I saw that you won the Nobel Prize, so I did some research about it."
Eli's expression shifted from suspicion to surprise, his eyes widening slightly. "Research, huh?" he muttered, clearly caught off guard.
Sensing the opportunity, you launched a web to a nearby building. "Yep, just a curious web-slinger," you quipped, giving him a quick salute. "Stay safe, Professor."
As you swung away, a crowd began to gather, cheering and clapping for you. "We love you, Spider-Man!" they shouted, their voices filled with admiration and relief.
The police, firefighters, and paramedics arrived on the scene, adding to the commotion. You knew it was your cue to leave before anyone else could ask more questions. You launched another web, swinging gracefully into the air as the crowd's applause followed you.
Meanwhile, away from the chaos, the Green Goblin landed on the balcony of his mansion. He dismounted his damaged glider with a heavy sigh, exhaustion evident in his posture. The grand balcony doors opened to his opulent bedroom, the heavy curtains fluttering in the breeze. As he entered, he tore off his grotesque mask and flung it aside, the metallic clank echoing through the room.
He approached the large, ornate mirror hanging on the wall and stared at his reflection, his eyes dark and weary. He rubbed his face, the reality of his dual life pressing heavily on his shoulders. "Why do we do this?" he muttered to himself, his voice a mixture of exhaustion and despair. "What's the point if we can't even get rid of that damn meddling spider?"
The Green Goblin's reflection seemed to shift, contorting into an image of pure rage. His eyes darkened, and a sinister grin spread across his face as the Goblin within him took over.
"Failure is not an option," the Goblin hissed, his tone dripping with venom. "We will destroy Spider-Man, one way or another. He won't stand in our way forever."
The man in the mirror clenched his fists, his anger simmering just below the surface. "We'll find your weakness, Spider-Man," he vowed. "And when we do, you will beg for mercy. I won't fail."
The reflection seemed to respond, its eyes gleaming with malice. "You better not, Shahbandar. We can't afford any more failures."
The man, now revealed as Lionel Shahbandar, turned away from the mirror, his jaw set with determination. "I won't fail," he vowed quietly. "Next time, Spider-Man won't be so lucky."
He paced the room, the tension in his body palpable. The weight of his ambitions and the constant pressure of his villainous alter ego were taking their toll. His mind raced, plotting his next move, even as doubts gnawed at the edges of his thoughts.
"Goblin," he muttered, almost as if addressing his darker self, "we need a new plan. Something that will finally put an end to that meddling spider once and for all."
As he continued to strategize, the mask of the Green Goblin lay discarded on the floor, a symbol of the madness and chaos that defined his other life. The mansion's opulence contrasted sharply with the turmoil within its walls, a stark reminder of the duality that plagued Lionel Shahbandar.
Back in the city, you swung through the air, the adrenaline of the day's events still coursing through your veins. As Spider-Man, you reveled in the freedom of the sky, the wind rushing past you as you zipped from building to building. The cheers of the crowd were a distant memory now, replaced by the familiar hum of the city below.
"Another day, another psycho with a bomb," you muttered to yourself, shaking your head at the absurdity of it all. "Seriously, do these guys ever take a day off?"
As you swung past a skyscraper, you spotted your reflection in the glass. The familiar red and blue suit clung to your form, a second skin that hid your true identity from the world. No one knew that behind the mask, Spider-Man was a woman. It was a secret you guarded fiercely, knowing that it added an extra layer of protection to your double life.
"At least the Green Goblin's out of commission for now," you mused, your thoughts drifting back to the fight. "But something tells me he won't stay down for long."
You landed gracefully on a rooftop, taking a moment to catch your breath. The city stretched out before you, a sprawling landscape of lights and shadows. It was a beautiful sight, one that reminded you why you did what you did.
"Alright, time to get back to class," you muttered, glancing at the time. "Better make up a good excuse."

Heya are requests open? I really want to ask a spider noir x reader. The reader loves showing noir all kinds of colourful things, mostly painted scenery she made herself. One day he finds a sketch of him asleep, when he tells the reader she becomes flustered and everything cute and fluffy please. Thank you so much!
A/N: Omg that’s so cute aaaah I’m melting 🥺💖 I know I haven’t posted in forever but this is so cute and I have a ton of ideas I’m working on rn :) !!
Work of Art - Spider Noir x Reader
Warnings: swearing, oblivious reader
“Shit” you muttered as rain started to come down. You and Noir had been walking home from a mission and as if the bruises and cuts all over you weren’t enough, it just had to start pouring rain.
“Language y/n.” Noir said monotonously.
“Sorry, sorry.” You said in your most sincere and sweet voice, before grinning cheekily under your mask and standing on your tiptoes so your faces almost touched. “I meant to say Fuck.”
Noir shoved you playfully, and even though you couldn’t tell, he smiled fondly at you laughing at your own joke. “Come on, we gotta get to Aunt May’s place. Peter B is probably worried sick right now.”
“First of all, you know Peter B is definitely not worried sick. He’s probably off on a date with MJ in his dimension or something. And second of all, let’s just spend the night at my flat or something. It’s closer, and it’s already getting dark.” You said matter of factly, giving him a light push on the shoulder.
“Fine.” He muttered over dramatically.
Besides, the Aunt May of your dimension would always make jokes about how you and Noir were head over heels for each other. But it didn’t matter, ‘cause those jokes were just stupid. Right?
You guys walked in comfortable silence until you arrived at your flat a few minutes later. You opened the door and felt a little bit of embarrassment wash over you when you saw how messy it was. Pencils and paint bottles sprinkled the floor, half finished paintings covered your desk, and your sketchbook rested on your bed. You groaned in embarrassment and walked in and attempted to clean up at least a little.
Noir picked up a bottle of paint and tilted his head in confusion. “This is....green?” He guessed.
“Nope.” You replied as you grabbed your colored pencils and shoved them into your pencil case.
“Purple?”
“No.” You stifled a laugh at his absolute confusion over the paint.
“Blue!” He said with so much confidence that he sounded like one of the characters on scooby doo figuring out who the bad guy is.
You chuckled and rolled your eyes. “Look, if I tell you what color it is, will you chill out?” You smiled.
“Sure.” he said with full sincerity.
“It’s orange. Thought you’d figure it out since you’re a detective and all.” You stated boredly.
“Very funny.” He said sarcastically, pulling off his mask. Because of the rain, his hair fell in its natural state, with messy waves falling over his forehead. He caught you staring and instinctively pushed his hair off his face, running his hand through his hair.
You mirrored his actions and took your mask off, wincing when it made contacts with the cuts on your face. Noir’s eyes went wide at the sight of you without a mask on.
“What?” You blushed as he scanned your face with worry.
“Your face is covered in cuts, y/n.” He stepped closer to you, lifting his hand to touch your face.
Time seemed to freeze for a brief moment when his eyes met yours, with his calloused hand grazing your cheek and your faces only inches apart.
“Does it hurt?” He asked, his voice was soft, almost in a whisper. You took in a shaky breath and shook your head no. He nodded curtly and removed his hand from your cheek and the tension in your body faded, tension you hadn’t even realized was there.
Noir, on the other hand, had walked over to your desk to admire your paintings.
“Did you make this, y/n?” He asked, looking between you and a painting of a sunset sky, eyes full of admiration behind his thick glasses. You nodded, a slight blush growing on your cheeks. He smiled softly and looked to the painting. “It’s beautiful.”
You blushed harder. “Thank you.” Your voice was slightly shaky. He turned back to make eye contact with you and you guys stayed like that for a second. He smiled at you with softened features and pushed his glasses up before turning away.
You broke the silence. “Um, I was gonna make some food, so if you wanna get cleaned up while I do then you can.”
He nodded and you grabbed a towel and passed it to him, pointing him to the bathroom. He walked out and you buried your face in your hands. Why did he have to make you so flustered? It’s not like you like him or anything.
You grabbed two packs of instant ramen and put them in the microwave, even though it was already almost 10:00. Now left alone with your thoughts, all you could seem to think about was Noir, the way his hand rested on your cheek, wondering if he does that when he kisses. God, you have to snap out of this!
You stirred the ramen and heard the bathroom door open and close. You looked up to see Noir, in just the white tee shirt and boxers he’d been wearing under his suit and you absolutely totally 100% did NOT stare when he put on his glasses and ran a hand through his soaking wet curls of hair.
You handed him his ramen and grabbed yours, sitting on your bed to eat. Noir slowly sat down next to you, as to not spill his ramen.
“Hey, are you sure you’re okay?” Noir asked, his tone hushed. He rested his hand on yours, causing you to tense up. “You’ve been awfully quiet doll.”
You nodded, still not turning to face him. “Yep. Just a little tired.” You ate as quickly as possible.
You guys ate in silence and you sat up as soon as you were done. “I’m gonna go take a shower.” You said, finally turning to face him, forcing a smile, but the smile became genuine when he smiled back and nodded.
You turned on the shower, letting the water rush down your body, cringing whenever it came in contact with a cut. You closed your eyes and hummed it yourself as you washed your hair.
As soon as you were done, you changed into a black tank top and a comfy pair of sweatpants. You peeked your head out the door of the bathroom to see Noir at your desk.
“What ya doin there Peter?” Your voice was sweet and gentle, as to not scare him. He turned around and grinned widely.
“Painting. I hope you don’t mind that I borrowed a canvas for it.” He said, showing you a painting of a sunset he’d done. It was similar to yours, except instead of being in shades of pink and orange, he’d used greens and purples.
You smiled widely at his painting, and then him. “I love it.”
His smile got even wider, if possible, before it was interrupted by him yawning. “I hope you don’t mind doll, but I think I should get to bed, it’s been a long day.”
You nodded gesture to your bed to signal he could sleep there. “I’ll join you in a bit, I just have to clean up.” You said, and by the time you’d finished your sentence, he was already passed out.
You cleaned up the paint spilled across your desk and grabbed your sketchbook from next to Noir. Your eyes flicked between him and your sketchbook and you had an idea. You sketched him, including every freckle, every stray curl of hair, every scruffy bit of stubble. You’d been drawing so long that you’d lost track of time and by the time you checked the clock, it was 12:30 in the morning.
You yawned to yourself, setting down your sketchbook and plopping down next to Noir, who sighed in content when he spider sensed you next to him, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you close.
Your spider sense woke you up that morning to see Noir, reaching for your sketchbook. In one swift movement, you jumped up and attempted to grab the sketchbook, before he caught your hand in his.
“Give it back you fucking asshole.” You muttered, hoping you sounded intimidating, though your voice shook with worry.
“It’s just a book, isn’t it?” He asked, his curiosity now growing from your arguing against it. Noir grabbed it with both his hands and gently pushed you away as he flipped through the pages.
His face softened as he saw the drawing of him. You’d made him look so beautiful, so peaceful. You attempted to grab it back from him, now jumping up to grab it. You finally decided on shooting a web at it and got it, but Noir only grabbed it back so the two of you were now connected by the sketchbook.
His gaze on yours was soft, not angry like you worried it would be. You contemplated just letting go and letting him have it. You’re staring at each other, and his eyes flick between your eyes and your lips.
He frees his hands from the sketchbook, and cups your cheek in one hand, just like he had when checking on your cuts yesterday. The other hand rests on your waist, which he uses to hold you so your bodies practically pressed together. He gently pulled you closer so your faces were only a few inches apart. You freeze and he presses his lips against yours. You kiss back almost immediately, and the sketchbook falls to your feet as you free it to let your hands run through his hair.
You guys pulled apart for a moment to rest your foreheads against each other, your breaths short and your faces smiling.
“You’re a work of art y/n.”

reasons why peter parker loves michelle jones: “because, she keeps me on my toes.”
ok gather round kids,
cuz i’m about to tell you a story
so peter and mj are best friends at this point
everything is fine and dandy except that michelle knows he’s spider-man
and peter kinda knows that michelle knows that he’s spider-man
AND michelle knows that he knows that she knows that he’s spider-man
and ned knows that they’re: idiots!
don’t get me wrong, michelle deadass talks to ned about spidey shit like it’s a casual thing that they all know about and ned doesn’t even try to cover for peter anymore
and ned has definitely told peter that she knows
in his defense, peter was practically forcing the information out of him! like he could just tell by the way peter was quietly eating his spaghetti
he Knew™
where were we?
oh right so, peter and mj are actually The Worst
because peter hasn’t like officially told mj about his whole extra-curricular yet because he’S JUST SCARED of her reaction
also you know, his mind is telling him yes but his heart says no apparently
and michelle,
michelle refuses to break unTIL peter tells him herself.
she wants to hear it from the man himself.
and so now, they’re all stuck in this uncomfortable loop of peter’s horrible acting whenever he has to go save someone and mj’s in the room and mj being uncomfortably Nice to peter whenever he turns on the news and sees DANGER!
and finally, after a good knock on the head from a burglar, peter decides to tell her
he’s actually going to do it
he’s going to straight up go to her house and tell her that he’s spider-man
and on the way there he’s trying to think of all of her possible reactions
maybe she’ll laugh at him because it took him this long to tell her
there’s a really high chance that she’d curse him out
or she’d just throw a really large book at his head
maybe she’ll fall in lov-
NOPE, HE DOES NOT NEED THAT THOUGHT RIGHT NOW
so we’re just gonna skim thru the cliche shit
so he knocks on her window and she opens it and he invites her outside to her fire escape and they have their usual banter and then he tells her and-
and well, he was NOT. expecting this reaction
because,
she does not believe him.
she doeS NOT BELIEVE HIM AT ALL.
i just wanna establish that peter’s got his normal clothes over his suit (he’s trying to be better about hiding his secret identity) and she can’t see his suit
and then, for some reason they’re both ‘!!!!!’ at each other
they’re arguing about whether or not peter is spider-man when he’s wearing his suit underneath his civilian clothes
omg! he’s wearing his suit!
so he pops open the first three buttons of his shirt and shows her the spidey symbol on his chest
she looks pleasantly surprised for like a nanosecond but then she crosses her arms and rolls her eyes, “yeah, like i would believe THAT. nice try, peter!”
and peter doesn’t know why he’s so frustrated by the fact that she DOESN’T. BELIEVE. HIM.
he could just let this go and pretend it was all some big prank
but he WANTS her to know that he’s spider-man
and then he decides to just take off his shirt
“peter, what are y-”
and then he’s taking off the t-shirt he’s wearing beneath THAT shirt
and before she knows it, peter parker is stripping in front of her on her fire escape
holy shit, this is what dreams are made of
once his civilian clothes are nothing but a pile on the floor, he puts on his mask, “see? i am spider-man!”
in case you haven’t realised already at this point, mj is just messing with peter out of spite and she also wanted to see if ned put him up to this
then, she uses that as an excuse to touch spider-man’s bicep as if she’s examining his suit
oh shit! he’s fit!
“yeah, halloween isn’t until october, PETER!”
and peter is about to explode, “mj! I. AM. SPIDER-MAN.”
and she’s about to give in but she literally just made peter strip for her out in the open so who knows what other lengths he might go to
she might even get some solid blackmail material
“give up the act, peter!”
and then this weird sort of look enters peter’s eye
he takes one step closer to her, “you want me to prove to you that i”m spider-man?”
“sure, let’s see what you’ve got up your sleeve now,” she deadpans.
“close your eyes.”
ok, nOW SHE’S WORRIED
“if you strip any further, i’m kicking you off this fire escape-”
“gross, mJ!”
“fine.”
and she closes her eyes, expecting the worst, actually she doesn’t even know WHAT! TO EXPECT
and then she feels his arm curl around her waist
“what are you-”
“just, close your eyes, ok?” he says it in a really soft way and that makes her wanna lay her life out on the line for him so she closes her eyes
and she feels herself thudding into something
apparently, that was his chest because she starts touching his chest and he coughs, “mj, that’s my chest.”
“oh sorry”
and she mentally kicks herself because hOW AWKWARD WAS THAT
then he whispers in her ear, and it’s really gentle and soft, “hold onto me, ok?”
and he positions her arms around his neck and his shoulders and then suddenly, she feels like she’s racing through something and it’s really windy
she’s still got her eyes closed
peter looks at her, “open your eyes, mj.”
and hOLY SHIT SHE’S SWINGING ACROSS NEW YORK IN SPIDER-MAN’S ARMS WHAT THE FCUK
her voice leaves her at this very moment so all she does is let out a squeak
and she rests her chin on peter’s shoulder and stares down at the city below her and it’s so beautiful from up here she’s never noticed and
she doesn’t scream or yell or cheer
she’s just quiet as peter swings from one building to the other
and then, peter returns to her fire escape
they’re both standing together now and she still hasnt let go of him yet
she pulls away awkwardly and he takes off his mask
“i knew all along, you know.”
peter smiles at her in that soft way, “yeah, i figured you were just messing with me when we were up there.”
because, of course he realises while he’s in the middle of shooting a web at a building
they sit in silence for a while
“sorry, if i made you unc-”
“no, you- i’m just-”
and this is the first time he’s ever seen mj speechless
#HE made her speechless
then she looks down her fire escape and at the city below her, “new york is so pretty.”
“it is,” he says, looking at her, because he’s never seen her like this before and he’ll be damned if he takes his eyes off of her
“are you- are you mad that i didn’t tell you sooner?”
she’s still looking down her fire escape, “i’m not going to lie, i was a little hurt at first but that was stupid don’t-”
“you were hurt?”
“i thought you didn’t trust me as much as you trusted ned and may and i’m okay with that really,” now she’s looking up at him to try to convince him that she’s fine. “i know that ned and may are the two most important people in your life i totally understand and i’m sorry if i manipulated you into telling me-”
“mj-”
“no it’s ok!”
and then his stomach grumbles and she rolls her eyes, “i have pizza in my fridge.”
he frowns, “is it vegetarian?”
“no, my dad ordered it last night and he couldnt finish it.”
“alright then!’
and they have pizza for dinner and watch brooklyn 99 in her room, under a pile of blankets after that
and they decide to invite ned over because he’ll probably be able to sleep in peace now that she officially knows
peter’s changed into his normal clothes now btw
and then, late at night, once ned is knocked out somewhere on a mattress and they’re still awake,
“hey mj?”
“yeah,”
“you’re on my list of the top five most important people to me in this whole entire universe.”
he’s expecting her to brush it off or tease him about it because he knows that she doesn’t do: emotions
but what she says, once again, he doesn’t expect,
“you’re on mine too.”

Electrifying Experience | Spider-Man x Reader
Wordcount: 2,085
Summary: “During a painfully lonely trip to the carnival, Electro makes an appearance to put an end to the festivities, leaving you trapped on the Ferris Wheel. How could tonight get any worse? Well, Spider-Man comes to the rescue - helping you in more ways than one.”
Warnings: None
Author’s Notes: I wanted to take a small break from my Silkster fic and write a little one-shot. I can see this going further so if people want a part two, be sure to comment, like, and reblog ♡ P.S. I love the new Electro from the Spider-Man PS4 game omg
New York City was incredibly active tonight, it seemed. Everyone was out having fun. The magazine had given you tickets to go to the "Summer's Start Carnival" in the park. Yes, you were encouraged to have a fun time, but they higher-ups sent you there to get some good photos for the next issue. Your boss made sure to give you two tickets so you could bring someone. I mean, who goes to a carnival by themselves? Well, it turns out you do.
You had asked a co-worker to go with you, one that you had liked for a while now. You thought it would've been a perfect opportunity to spend some time together outside of work. Guess that was wishing too much. They ended up taking the other ticket but decided to go with someone else. It was nothing personal; they just weren't interested. It still didn't feel great though.
While you were there, you spent the night taking photos of as many people as possible. You captured them all - excited children, happy families, fast friends, and even star-struck lovers. It was nice to talk to people a bit before and after snapping a shot. However, once they left, it reminded you that you were alone tonight. After an hour or so you found it difficult to talk to people anymore, so you focused on rides and environment shots instead.
You make your way to the Ferris Wheel. At about 50 feet in height, it was the tallest structure at the carnival. It was getting late, so the line was nonexistent. You figure you could get a couple of detailed shots at the top then call it a night. You give your ticket to the attendant at the entrance. You feel a little tinge of disappointment as he looks behind you to see if you're going up with a partner. But nope, it was just you. You get in the chair and begin your solo ascension.
It's a slow journey to the top, stopping every few seconds to let others off. You decide to check your social media. As you open the app, you see that #ElectroEscapes was trending online. Upon reading further, you see hundreds of posts and updates about the villain. He managed to escape from his high-security cell and was now galavanting around the city. It doesn't look like he was hurting anyone, at least not yet. Reports just claimed he was causing power outages and property damage.
You pull yourself away from the news once you finally make it to the top. Looking out at the carnival and the rest of the city, you see a beautiful amalgamation of lights and stars. You grab your camera and begin snapping, and the pictures were coming out better than anticipated. Soon you'd head home, send your work to the boss, and put a much-needed end to this night.
As you spend some time to admire the view (not through the lens of your camera), you notice a flicker of light in the distance. It bounces rapidly in every direction, leaving a sparkling trail in its path. You squint, trying to make out what exactly it is. That's when you notice it. It was heading straight for the carnival. People begin to take notice - pointing in shock as the light gets closer and closer.
"It's Electro!" you hear people shouting from down below. Choas ensues once people can make out the outline of a man underneath all the electricity. Electro flashes across the sky in an almost blinding beam of light - his explosive laugh echoing over the screams of the people.
"A carnival? Shocking that I wasn't invited," he shouts as he flickers around the area, "Oh well, guess I'll hafta call lights out on this little shindig!"
He looks over his shoulder at the citizens cowering beneath him. You can make out his expression through the light. He's got a crazed look in his eye. You try to duck for cover, but there's nowhere to hide. You were a sitting duck at the top of this ride and were horrified beyond belief. Luckily for you, Electro had the bigger picture in mind. With a loud crack and an explosion of electricity, he's gone - zapping out all the power in a 10-mile radius.
You could relax now. The immediate danger was gone, but people were still uneasy. You could see as people continued to call out in the dark, looking for their loved ones. You looked at the attendant on the ground. He was mashing every button he could to bring life back to the Ferris Wheel, but to no avail. For the time being, you knew you were stranded on the peak of this ride. You groan in frustration. How could this night get any worse?
Without warning, you hear a loud thud beside you. You look to your side to see a masked man, clad in a familiar red and blue suit, standing on the protective bar of the chair. It was Spider-Man - the webbed warrior, protector of New York City, Avenger - honestly, you could go on. You feel the seat rock ever so slightly, but you're too focused on the hero balancing beside you. You've seen him on the news and seen articles about him in the Daily Bugle, but you've never once seen him in person, let alone up close.
"Is everyone alright?" He called out over the crowd. People looked to him, and effectively up at me, quieting down rather fast. Still, there was a faint murmur as people continued to worry.
"I need everyone to remain calm," he continued, "Electro is just flexing his powers right now. He's proud of his escape. As of right now, no one's hurt, and power should be back shortly. So please, everyone, remain calm. We will find him." applause slowly grew from the crowd. Everyone trusted Spider-Man. I mean, how could you not? He rubs the back of his neck, chuckling to himself. You can't avert your gaze.
"Hey, are you okay?" He kneels down beside you, still balancing on the bar without trouble.
"Y-Yeah," you find yourself to be a little star-struck, so you try to shake your nerves, "I'm fine. Thank you."
"Don't sweat it! It's all in a day's work!" he laughs, "Listen, I don't know how long it will take for them to bring the power back. Do you want me to help you down?" You blush to yourself, the idea of Spider-Man putting his arms around you and safely carrying you to the ground sounded incredible. But he's a superhero, and Electro was on the lose. You don't want to waste his time.
"It's okay, I don't think lightning will strike twice," you joke, "the view is pretty nice up here. Besides, the way my night's going, I've got nothing better to do."
"Bad night?" He cocks his head.
"You could say that," you feel like you're oversharing, so you catch yourself, "B-But you don't want to hear about that." You try to laugh it off as much as possible, but he can tell it's a facade.
"Sure I do." He adjusts himself, sitting on the bar, facing you. His legs dangle in the space between the seat and the bar, brushing against your knees every now and again.
"What about Electro?" You lean forward on the bar.
"I can't do anything until someone radios me his location. Besides, aren't heroes supposed to help people?" you can't see his face, but you feel like he's smiling at you.
"Yeah, by like fighting criminals. Not by being a therapist." You give a laugh, one that Spider-Man returns. He leans in.
"Whoever thinks that being a superhero is about just fighting baddies doesn't really know anything about superheroes." He kicks his legs gently. You wonder to yourself that maybe he's enjoying this, "C'mon. Tell your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man all about it."
"Well," you're unsure how to start, "I was supposed to be here with someone. But, turns out they weren't all that interested in me."
"So you're here alone?" the red-clad hero asks, concern in his voice.
"Yeah. It's okay though. I just thought--" you find yourself at a loss for words. "Just thought?" Spider-Man lifts himself up from the bar and swings over to sit beside you in the seat. Your nerves come back.
"I-I just thought... I don't know."
"What's your name?" he asks without warning. You're a little taken aback by this, but you find the strength to look at him face-to-face.
"My name is (Y/N)."
"Well, (Y/N)," he begins, leaning on the bar in the same position you're in, "Whoever bailed on you really missed out. You seem like a good person who's a lot of fun to hang out with."
"You got all that from just meeting me?" you joke.
"Call it my spidey senses," he jokes back, "Granted, I'm sure you didn't plan for a night like this."
"You could say that again," You lean back, looking at the thousands of stars scattered above you, "I guess, in the end, I had a fantasy in my head of how this night was supposed to go, you know?" It was cheesy, but when you planned to come to the carnival with your co-worker tonight, you had this dumb romance novel scenario pictured in your head - delicious food that's so bad for you, casual flirting while waiting in line for rides, and maybe a kiss on top of the Ferris Wheel.
Spider-Man cocks his head again. You can't tell what he's thinking, but what he does next is what really takes you by surprise. He brings his hand to his mask and slowly slides it off - just enough to expose his mouth, which you can now clearly see is in a gorgeous grin. He scoots a few inches closer to you. He looks down at his lap for a moment; you can feel that he's at least somewhat nervous. You don't understand why.
"Spider-Man?" you ask. The hero doesn't reply. Instead, he closes the gap between you, pushing his lips against your own. It feels like time's stopped. Without thinking, you bring your hand up to his cheek, softly cupping his face. He reaches up, gently putting his gloved hand on yours. It's a sweet kiss that felt like it could go on forever. You each feel the other smile underneath as you break away in hushed laughter.
"W-what was that for?" you manage to force out.
"Remeber. Whoever thinks that being a superhero is about just fighting baddies doesn't really know anything about superheroes." You see him flash that beautiful smile once again. He was right. Not only did he make sure everyone was safe, but he also went out of his way to make your night better - So much better than you could ever imagine.
It's at this moment that you finally hear the people below. You both look down. At the base of the Ferris Wheel, you hear an eruption of applause and cheering from the crowd. You look at the faces of all the people clapping, waving, whistling, and so on. Without knowing, you two had essentially put on quite the show.
"Were they watching the whole time?" You feel your face begin to flush. Spider-Man laughs to himself, his hand now resting on your back. You hear the faint sound of interference coming from his suit. He leans away slightly, trying to understand better. It stops, and he looks back at you.
"Electro's been spotted in Inner City," you can feel his fingers clench ever so slightly, "I gotta go." Without hesitation you lean in again, planting a soft kiss on his exposed cheek.
"He's dangerous. Please be careful." You tell him. You can just make out his cheeks beginning to flush as he gives you one more smile.
"I will. I promise, (Y/N)." He slides his mask back down over his face. You feel his form lift out of the chair.
"Bye." is all you're able to say. He aims one of his slingers at the building across the street, looks over his shoulder at you one last time, and in mere seconds he's gone. The people beneath continue to clap and cheer, but that doesn't matter anymore. You're left alone once more, on the top of a Ferris Wheel, with a newfound, more profound appreciation for the hero Spider-Man - as well as the man behind the mask.

Spider-Man! Jeon Jungkook
okay okay okay omg so I watched Spider-Man Homecoming like last week because I haven’t yet and Spider-man is legit my favorite superhero and not even because of his powers but because Peter Parker is literally the cutest dork ever and I’ve legit felt this way since the first three movies came out like Peter is my fave and Spider-man is my fave too // Tom Holland is also cute af and it’s rare for actors to actually catch my eye like that so I’m loving his Peter Parker so much lmao // fun fact too I hate spiders lol Living in Miami I can deal with roaches and other bugs and lizards and shit but never spiders, I’d rather burn my house down to kill a spider than get near it lmao BUT I DIGRESS
Let’s start with the AU!!!
Word Count: 2129
Masterlist
To start, I literally cannot see anybody else in BTS but Jungkook as Spider-man
I tried fitting Yoongi to Spider-man, because Yoongi is my ult ;u; but it just didn’t feel right
Jungkook is the best one
Both are young idiots
Nerdy af
Photography // i miss old Spidey :’) //
Fit
Get awkward and nervous every now and then
But very cute and caring
Looking out for the little guy
Jungkook also wouldn’t tell anybody
At all
At first he used to help out in the Busan area, while he was in highschool
For college he moved to Seoul
And many were surprised to see Spidey swinging around in Seoul
Jungkook was actually nervous about going to college in Seoul
He knew it came with a risk
But so far nothing seemed off so he continued to do what he did in Busan
He attended his classes and the second he was done he went off on a patrol around the city
At this point at lot of people suspected what school Spider-man was going to
He was often spotted on top of the building that was his dorm
So he stopped staying there too often and frequently stayed around various other places
It was getting pretty late and Jungkook had a paper due the next morning
He hadn’t started it yet
Much less actually knew what he was going to write about
So he decided to head back to his dorm
But first
He had to change back to Jungkook
He dropped down in the alley where he left his book bag and clothing
It was dark
But thanks to his spider powers
That wasn’t a problem for him
He quickly located his bag and opened it
Ready to get his clothing out
Until you suddenly appeared
Jungkook tried to put on his mask
His sudden panic prevented him from actually getting it on properly
So he quickly jumped behind a dumpster near him
He poked his head out slightly to see why you were here
When he suddenly saw two other figures following behind you
You told them to please leave you alone
Stating that you had no cash on you
The two figures scoffed
One man and one woman maybe?
Jungkook slowly put his bag down behind the dumpster
After calming down a bit he finally put his mask back on
The two people still had some distance to you
No visible weapons out
Jungkook decided to climb the wall behind him slowly
Making sure he wasn’t seen
That was until he saw the woman pull out a gun and point it right at you
Jungkook quickly went into action
He shot a string of web at the gun and disarmed the woman
They both stood confused at the weapon suddenly gone from their hand
“Man, I find it really unfair you guys are teaming up on one person”
The man and the woman both look at each other before looking around at where the voice came from
“Do you mind if I join to even it out?”
Jungkook appeared behind the pair and tied them up with the web
Fairly easy this time
Normally people do a better job at fighting back
But he wasn’t one to complain
“Oh, looks like I won!”
Jungkook walked over to you and asked if you were okay
Other than being shaken up a bit
You were fine
He called the cops and they asked you a few questions when they arrived
You were about to leave when Spider-man called after you
Jungkook offered to walk you home
And you agreed
However you didn’t walk to a house
Instead to walked to a dorm
His college dorm
Jungkook got a bit nervous
You told him thank you and that you’ll be on your way then
Jungkook nodded and quickly left after you were inside
He got his things from the alley and changed before rushing back to his dorm
The second he walked in he went straight for the showers
Even though the two people from earlier weren’t much of a challenge
He still felt tired and the hot water on his skin helped him relax a bit
After walking back to his room
he quickly checked that his roommate was asleep before taking out his suit from his bag and shoving it under his bed
At that point Jungkook flopped onto his bed and slid under the cover
And he did not do his paper
The next morning was probably the worst for Jungkook
It wasn’t until he was inside his class that he realized that he had not done the paper
And that you were actually his classmate
To his luck
You didn’t sit beside him
You prefered to sit in the back-middle area while he sat towards the front
But that still didn’t save him from becoming your partner for a class assignment
Jungkook shifted nervously in his seat
Even though he had his mask on last night
And he knew that there was no way you could know he was Spider-man
He was still nervous to death
Although you didn’t notice that he was the famous web slinger
You did notice his obvious nervousness
And you became worried
“Are you okay?”
Your sudden question made Jungkook jumped slightly
Giving you a forced smile while he nodded excessively
“Y-Yeah! Totally c-cool! Nothing wrong…”
You gave him a smile back and a nod
Turning back to pay attention to the teacher
Jungkook let out a huge breath and relaxed just a tiny bit
You both worked on the assignment together
Only spoke when you had to
Things were great
Until the professor announced that the next project was to be done with your current partner
Jungkook felt his heart drop
You turned to him and awkwardly asked for his number
So you could plan your meet ups for the project obviously
Jungkook got your number as well
You mentioned you had a pretty free schedule the next week
You could meet up almost every day and get the project done and over with
He only nodded and gave you the same sort of forced smile
“Yeah, t-that be g-great!”
You got up and grabbed your things and headed to your next class
Jungkook went back to his dorm
Luckily, he only had one class that day
And it was over
But life still kept throwing things at him
The second he opened the door
He saw his roommate holding his suit
His Spider-man suit
At the moment Jungkook wished he had never left Busan
Jimin, his roommate, turned around when he heard the door open
Jungkook quickly closed the door and locked it and grabbed the suit from him
“You’re Spider-man…”
He turned to Jimin and shook his head
“I have no idea what you’re talking about”
Jimin quickly walked over to Jungkook
“That’s Spider-man’s suit. Why do you have Spider-man’s suit. You are Spider-man!”
“Nope. Nope. Nope. I am not Spider-man.”
“Jungkook! Why didn’t you tell me!”
“Because I don’t want anybody to know!”
“So you are Spider-man!”
“I’m not Spider-man!”
Jimin smirked and grabbed the suit from Jungkook’s hands
“This is too cool…”
Jungkook scratched the back of his head
Obviously frustrated
“Yeah, but you can’t tell anybody or say anything. Like, at all.”
Jimin turned to Jungkook looking amazed
“Why not! You’d become super famous and popular!”
Jungkook shook his head and grabbed the suit and shoved it under his bed
“No. Nobody can know. Got it?”
Jimin huffed but nodded
Jungkook sighed and nodded as well
And then you sent him a text
>You think you can do Saturday afternoon? -Y/N
He could easily push his Saturday patrol to the evening
It wasn’t a big deal.
>Yeah, I can do Saturday. Library? -JK
>Sounds good -Y/N
Jungkook turned to find Jimin looking over his shoulder
He started teasing him about having a date but Jungkook quickly said it was for a project
Jimin shrugged it off and left running to his next class realizing he was late
Jungkook prayed Jimin wouldn’t tell anybody
Or let it slip by accident
And soon, Saturday came around
The project was fairly easy
You were both smart and finished the rough draft the first day
Now all that’s left is a bunch of revising and turning it in
Since it was nearly lunch time you offered Jungkook to get a coffee with you
Jungkook looked nervously between you and the time
But agreed anyways
He had time
Just a little bit of time
He had to do his patrol soon
You asked him questions over coffee
What his major was
Hobbies
Family back home
Both of you shared a bit in common
Jungkook did photography while you did painting and drawing
He liked video games and you did a bit of animation when you had time
You also moved away from home to go to college
Then you asked about Spider-man
And Jungkook felt his soul leave his body
You told him that Spider-man had saved you twice already
Jungkook tilted his head in confusion
When had he saved you before?
You told him that you had just gotten to Seoul
Walking out of the airport and trying to get a taxi
As you crossed the street a car was coming towards you too quickly
Suddenly you felt something pull you back and away from the car’s way
When you turned you saw a sticky web hanging from the back of your sweater
Jungkook remembered that too
He had just arrived to Seoul as well
The second he pulled you back he ran away from the scene and quickly got into a taxi
He felt bad he couldn’t ask if you were okay
But it wasn’t like he could change into Spider-man in that second
Then he told you about the night not long ago
This one he had no trouble remembering
Though you told Jungkook you often wondered if Spider-man remembered you
He shrugged and smiled
“Why wouldn’t he? Who could forget you?”
The sentence left his mouth before he could think and he felt his soul leave his body again
You blushed
Playboy Jungkook is coming watch out omg
“Ah- I mean! You- um… you’re...great! And he probably remembers you!”
Jungkook looked at the time and his eyes widened
He quickly apologized and said he had to go
He ran towards a nearby alley and changed into Spider-man
Did his usual patrol and went back to his dorm
And it continued like that
Jimin didn’t tell anybody
He met up with you for the project
Had coffee after
He left rushing after apologizing over and over again
Jungkook seemed to always lose track of time around you
He never understood why
But soon, you guys finished with the project
That meant no more coffee together
And a part of Jungkook hurt
He shrugged it off quickly
Spending more time out on patrols to distract himself from the hurt he felt
Eventually he saw you again
But not in the way he hoped to see you
You were obviously on your way back to your dorm
But some random person was following you
You kept looking behind to see if they were there
And they kept getting faster and closer towards you
Jungkook didn’t hesitate on punching them in the face and tying them up
When you saw Spider-man you felt relieved and walked over to him
Jungkook asked if you were okay and you smiled
After seeing that you were fine he smiled as well
Not that you could see anyways because of the mask but ANYWAYS
“I wonder why you keep getting into trouble?”
You were surprised by the sudden question
Spider-man did remember you
“You remember… me?
Jungkook let out a soft laugh and nodded
“Of course I do. Who could forget you?”
Jungkook’s heart stopped
“Uh- I mean, I saved you three times already right? You should really stop getting in trouble. I sort of have to go now. Your dorm isn’t far right? Get home safe. Just scream if you need help. Gotta go bye!”
And with that Jungkook quickly left swinging away as fast as possible
Yet you were left with a growing suspicion of who was under that mask
Maybe, you would ask a certain Jeon Jungkook tomorrow
You laughed to yourself and walked home
In truth, you knew it was Jungkook under the mask
You found a page of multiple designs for his suit in his pile of notes for the project
You meant to ask him about it
But whenever the topic of Spider-man came up, he was suddenly rushing out in a hurry
So you never brought it up
And you never told a soul
Ahhhhhhhh so this is just a quick thing I wrote for myself since a blast of inspiration hit me for it
I just really love Spider-man guys I’m a huge loser
I also wrote this on Thursday last week but decided to post this now lol
But anyways, I’m sorry I haven’t posted more of my requests yet. I am currently working on a few requests and I’ve had a bit of problems with family, college stress and other stuff that take up my time or leave me just dead tired. I also just got a new phone this weekend. My last one was a bit glitchy so I can finally do edit requests without it getting deleted. I do my edits on my phone it’s just easier for me ^-^’ You can still send in requests if you’d like btw! Just make sure to check my rules, who I write for, and what is open at the moment!

A Valentine’s Promise: Peter Parker One Shot
Warnings: kissing, food, fire, loveeeeeeeee
A/N: this is the cutest, cheesiest thing ever but in the BEST way omg I’m crying why can’t I have a Peter AH!
(not my gifs)
(I see Peter as being 18 at this time)
Everything was set up. Netflix was loaded, candles were lit, and snacks were out; all that was missing was your boyfriend.
Peter had texted you saying a spider-man thing came up so he’d probably be late… six hours ago. To say you were worried would be an understatement, but knowing Peter, he probably had everything under control.
All you could do was sit and wait.
The time on your phone showed that it was four in the morning when you went to see if Peter had texted you an update on his timing. Just as you sighed and began to close out the app, a familiar ding sounded in the quiet room, Peter’s text-tone.
Peter: Had to go see Stark to get some cuts patched up, but am now on my way. Should I come through your window or just walk in the door?
You: Whichever is easier for you right now. Just get here fast because I miss you Peter Parker
Peter: Will do, Valentine ;)
Smiling, you locked your phone and awaited your boyfriend’s arrival. You loved this holiday for many reasons, but Peter calling you his Valentine was probably your favorite.
Looking around the room to pass the time, you realized that your entire setup was failing. Some candles had lost their flames and now there were barely any snacks left from having munched on them as you waited.
Running over to the cupboard, you grabbed a lighter and made your way around the room, lighting all of the candles whose light had burned out. Then, you jogged over to the pantry to find any candy or snack you could put out because, knowing Peter, he’d be absolutely starving after all his superhero duties.
Just as you finished decorating everything to make it look more aesthetically pleasing (again), a few light taps sounded from the window closest to the couch. Turning around, you were met with the sight of Peter’s hooded figure clutching a backpack in his left hand as he used his right to gain your attention.
Your brows furrowed in confused as you saw him in normal clothes rather than his spider-man suit. Whenever he showed up at one of your windows, it was typically in hero attire.
Crossing the room, you kept the window shut and looked out at him for a minute before smirking and bringing your hand up to rest on the window. Faking weakness, you slowly moved your fingers to resemble the Vulcan sign from Star Trek.
“I have been,” you said in a graveling voice, “and always shall be, your friend…. Live long and prosper.”
As you finished, you leaned your head against the glass, just as Spock did, before pretending to die.
“That’s not funny, Y/N! You know what that scene does to me!” you heard Peter complain, his voice muffled by the glass separating the two of you.
You giggled and turned to face him once again.
“Oh come on! How was I supposed to resist doing that? It was the perfect opportunity!”
He chuckled and shook his head.
“Just open the window, you Star Trek nerd” he said playfully, gesturing to the glass.
Complying with his request, you let him in. His feet weren’t even firmly planted on the ground when you basically jumped into his arms, hugging him tightly with your hands wrapped securely around his neck.
“I was worried about you,” you whispered, kissing his neck lightly before resting your head on his shoulder.
“Hey, I’m here now,” he reassured you, hugging you back just as strongly.
“And by the way,” he continued, “Star Wars is better;” his remark prompting a short laugh from you.
After a moment, Peter pulled away, looking at you fondly with a smile gracing his features.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Valentine,” he spoke, bringing his hand to your cheek and gently rubbing your skin with his thumb.
Blushing, you returned the sentiment before grabbing his hand and leading him to the couch, your snack set up on the coffee table in front of it. You sat down in the center of the couch, Peter following your example and falling onto the piece of furniture, quite ungracefully at that, after setting his backpack down nearby. Laughing at his antics, you held him close, cuddling into his side as he rested his head upon your own.
“Thanks for waiting up for me,” he said, his words making you move so you could face him as the two of you talked.
“It’s no problem. I kept myself busy by eating most of the food I got for us and watching random shows on Netflix,” you responded.
“Well, regardless, I am sorry for being late.”
Just as you were about to assure him it was truly not an issue, he continued on.
“And to apologize, I would like to give you your Valentine’s gift.”
“Peter,” you chided, “we said no gifts…”
Smirking he replied, “you said not to buy any gifts,” turning around to grab his backpack.
Your interest was peaked as you watched him reach into his backpack and retrieve a gift bag, the front of it covered in hearts.
“What is it?” you questioned, curiously eyeing the bag.
He chuckled at your inquisitive eyes.
“Well you’ll just have to open it and find out.’
After handing the bag to you, he sat back against the couch, relaxed on the outside, but his eyes revealed his excitement.
Right when your hand plunged into the excessive amount of tissue paper, Peter sat up quickly and grabbed your wrist. Puzzled, you looked up to find his excitement replaced with an insecure expression, his eyebrows creased and gaze only locking with yours from time to time.
“Peter?” you spoke lightly, beginning to worry about his sudden mood change.
“Uh…” he began hesitantly, “I-uh, so this is something I made, but you don’t have to keep it or feel pressured to have it or anything, I just thought- ugh, I don’t know, it’s probably stupid…”
His voice faded off as he started to stare at the ground, clearly having lost confidence in the gift that seemed to mean a lot to him.
“Pete, if it’s from you, I’ll love it,” you reassured him, using your other hand to lift his chin up.
Smiling at him you continued,
“Can I open it now?”
He displayed a small smile in return and nodded his head, a hint of excitement fading back into his features.
Your attention back on the gift, you removed the tissue paper and put it aside on the coffee table, attempting to not make too much of a mess. Looking into the bag, you found a 3D heart. Lifting it out, your breath was taken away at its beauty. It was carefully woven, it’s grey-white color resembling webbing- wait… webbing?
“Peter,” you breathed out in shock, “did you make this out of your webbing?!”
He blushed a deep crimson then sheepishly nodded his head.
“You made this?!”
Somehow, his cheeks became an even deeper red.
“Y-yeah,” he stuttered out, “is it bad?”
“What?!” you exclaimed, practically shooting off the couch, “it’s absolutely stunning! How long did this take you?”
Observing your positive reaction, Peter’s spirits seemed to lift.
“About a month. I know it’s cheesy, but i-it was supposed to represent my heart,” he responded, shrugging in the process.
“Peter, that’s incredible! I don’t know what to say,” you whispered the last part, caressing the heart-shaped object.
“C-Can you give it to me f-for a second? There’s more to it,” Peter asked.
Sitting back down by your boyfriend, you handed over your (now) most prized possession, eager to see what else he had planned. Peter looked up at you shyly and grinned before turning his attention back down to the heart, pulling at one of the strings. You gasped, nervous that he would break the beautiful piece of art.
“Don’t worry,” he comforted, knowing that you would panic, “I’ll fix it when I’m done.”
“Done with what?” you questioned, watching him reach his fingers into the heart seemingly attempting to get hold of something.
“This,” he whispered out, his voice shaky as he got off the couch and kneeled on the ground.
At first, you were confused, but when you saw a ring in his hand, you became shocked.
“Peter, that’s really sweet but we’re way too you-”
He let out a short laugh before grabbing your hand with his other one.
“It’s not an engagement ring,” he informed you right away, this statement only confusing you more.
“It’s a promise ring. It’s my way of telling you that no matter what happens, I will always be yours. Sorry, if it’s cheesy or if this makes you uncomfortable I-”
It was your turn to cut him off. You knelt on the ground, wrap your arms around his neck, and brought his lips to meet yours. At first, he was surprised, but after a second, he brought his hands to your hips, kissing you with just as much love and passion as you conveyed.
When you finally parted for air, you rested your forehead against his own, a smile seeming to be permanently etched onto your face.
“And I will always be yours,” you whispered, your hand moving to rest against his cheek, Peter leaning into your touch with a smile to match your own.
He opened his eyes after a moment and leaned back a few inches, raising his hand in front of him once again to present you with the promise ring.
“May I?” he asked, holding the hand not gripping the ring out to you in a silent request for your own.
“You may,” you agreed, placing your hand on his.
It was amazing, the feeling that filled your body as he moved the ring onto your finger. Love in all it’s forms: friendship, soulmates, lovers. The ring was barely in place before you lunged into his arms again, holding him as close as you possibly could.
“I love you, Y/N,” Peter said, his body so close that his lips brushed your ear as he talked.
“I love you too, Peter; thank you for the ring… and your heart.”
You were fighting to keep the tears from falling. Never in your life had you felt so much love.

Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows V2 #3 Thoughts/Review
Click here to see my older thoughts
I’m not gonna go page by page on this one just FYI
Story:
Annie May Parker is sent to the principal’s office for doodling in class. Outside his office she encounters an older student named Stephanie Kim who has a reputation for being the toughest kid in school. Stephanie advises Annie May to just let the principal say what he wants and wait him out. This works with Stephanie later explaining her four years of school has taught her that their principal doesn’t really care too much about the students or what they do, so long as his life isn’t made difficult. In the playground the pair spot Jermaine Grant (son of Gloria Grant) who’s being picked on by some older kids. Annie steps in but it’s Stephanie’s words which send the bullies skulking off.
Suddenly Annie’s Spider Sense blares and she receives disturbing visions of her parents in trouble. Recognizing the Regent’s base from her visions, Annie changes into costume and races off to help her folks. At the scene though she cannot find them and is promptly captured by the Moloids, waking up hurt and in their clutches (leading us to the end of issue #1).
MJ/Spinneret angrily rescues (and consequently grounds) Annie leaving her to watch them fight the dinosaur from earlier issues from afar. But following another Spider Sense induced vision she sees her parents falling into a large hole and tries to warn them. She’s too late however, but she’s just in time to notice the dinosaur waking up and lunge at her. As Normie Osborn watched intrigued she lures the dinosaur into the hole, sending it tumbling down to land nearby the Mole Man who’s captured her parents.
After a few quick exchange of words Annie declares that it’s time for them to fight, whilst exclaiming fearfully in her head.
Review:
I like the art.
I don’t like Annie being a hero and think it’s OOC for Peter and MJ to let her do that.
Well that’s all I have to say for this issue....okay I’ll elaborate.
Yeah...the art continues to be immensely great and whilst I find it OOC BS for Annie to be a hero...I have to admit that just looking at her as a hero in her own right...it is really endearing.
And this stems from Conway’s ability to write a pretty decent child character. I feel as time has gone by many writer’s have become more skilled at doing this when in the past it used to be an almost guaranteed path to something insufferable.
In the first two pages alone we get a look at her creativeity, a trait stemming mostly from her mother but a little bit from her Dad and also her quick thinking when she covers up her revealing doodle by eating it. Whilst childish and unnecessary it underscores Annie’s youth. We’ve seen Peter go to lengths to cover up his identity and Annie is simply doing the same but in a more childish manner. The artwork even reflects this in places as it becomes a little more simplistic and a little more cartoony which makes sense when the series is being viewed through the eyes of a child.
We’re also introduced to more supporting characters in the form of Annie’s Principal, teacher and school mates. With their introduction we now have a pool of characters and environment for each member of the Parkers to interact with and follow respective subplots about Peter=Bugle, MJ=the store, Annie=the school, an ingenious move on Conway’s part to add variety and dimensions to each family member. The principal character is maybe too hard an attempt to give a character a gimmick, but it is early days. The other characters though are decent enough and there is ground for some interesting dynamics between Stephanie, Jermaine and Annie. Annie looks after Jermaine and is turn looked after by the older Stephanie despite Annie being the stronger of the two. It’s an interesting flip on Peter’s lonely and bullied school days but isn’t quite as wild and popular as MJ’s.
As for the dialogue same story from previous issues though Conway does a good job of reflecting the nervous, ineloquent, jumpy and fast thought processes going through the mind of a child...even one who says OMG in her head...by the way has anyone seen by walking stick?
Moving on...Annie’s Spider Sense.
It is an interesting power that has a lot of potential so long as it isn’t misused too much and doesn’t become equivalent to Madam Web’s abilities. It is also something that renders her unique to her parents...but not her ‘uncle’ Kaine.
Yeah...Kaine’s Spider Sense lets him read the future too. Is this a deliberate rip-off? I dunno.
Her debut double page spread and in fact all of her action panels once more made me more open to what is otherwise not a great visual design for her costume. It’s one of those suits which makes sense realistically but too the point of not being very good visually. In fact her undersuit which is just black with a red chest is much better visually speaking. But the one aspect I’m not okay with at all is the pigtails. I think they are cute on her but as part of the costume look too dorky and offer too easy a weakness for enemies to exploit...which they do in this very issue when they capture her. Its hard enough believing that Peter would allow Annie to play hero let alone believing he and fashonista Mary Jane (who’s made a point of making her hair more practical in costume) would allow Annie to swing around like that.
If nothing else it further makes the deduction of her and the Parkers’ identities easier to figure out. Your looking for a family of three, one man, one woman and a young girl, both ladies with long red hair, the girl wearing it in pigtails. Hmm...how could we figure this out? Maybe Peter Parker the famous Spider-Man photographer who’s daughter has long red hair like her mother and wears that hair in pigtails could tell us? Then again maybe the Parkers don’t care that mucha bout people deducing their secrets considering they all are fairly liberal in throwing their names and familial titles around.
You’d think at the very least Normie Osborn who along with his family has a close personal relationship with the Parkers and probably would know who Annie is would be able to deduce this. Even if he is only aged...um...actually I don’t know how old he is. He’s acting like an adult but he’s much shorter than his assistants and clearly younger too. If you presume Annie was born circa Mayday in the Clone Saga and she’s at most 10 years old now then Normie would be like...15 tops? And that’s really pushing it. The letters page claims that there is a reason or this age dilemma but I have no idea what that could refer to.
The action scenes are well drawn and Annie’s defeat of the dinosaur was an example of her inheriting her paren’ts resourcefulness, but the big problem is that it mostly rehashed what we saw in previous issues and gave us little plot advancement. At least advancement from where previous issues left off. We’ve fleshed out Annie and made note of her powers but in terms of all the Mole Man stuff we’ve moved maybe one pace beyond issue #2 which itself only moved like 2 paces beyond issue #1.
Mole Man is...ehhhh...his weird nutty dialogue is starting to enter a danger zone where it will become too over the top and insufferable. Its trying too hard to be self-aware that he’s a ridiculous character. In contrast Annie’s joke about being grounded was much funnier and Peter’s reaction of quiet pride and light reprimanding was priceless.
Overall this issue gets a....B I think. It was really compromised by the limited plot advancement but the set up stuff with Annie and her characterization kept it afloat well enough.
