I’m truly the happiest when I’m creating. I cant wait to finish my first real macrame creation! #Waitforit #WorkinProgress I picked up the skill watching @igc_fashion teach children and families in different communities while in Uganda 2 months ago during the #WearYourDreamsCampaign🌍 I never payed attention to this ancient art form using knotting techniques, though it was right up my alley since I love weaving so much. So I am taking the time to teach myself a new way of creating and adding another skill to my resume. For me, art is medicine. In the process we should be able to heal ourselves and find enlightenment. I encourage everyone to create at this time. There’s a calmness that happens. Your mind relaxes and allows you to flow and feel at peace with the process. From start to finish you feel the excitement of the possibilities, and you may even surprise yourself. Most of what I’ve gathered has been from nature, but your local hardware store can help in creating wonders when you you have limited supplies.
