Hey there, sunshines! We have an important update to share with you all on the progress of the fanzine project.

After much consideration and consultation with others, it's been decided that we need to give our overworked editor in charge a break so that they can focus on their studies. As such, the estimated release date has been pushed back until February 2025.

We're sorry to everyone who might be feeling a bit disappointed by the new release date. We promise that this delay is only because we care so much about the quality of this zine, as well as the health and well being of all of us working so hard on it behind the scenes. This fanzine is a love letter to all of us in this fandom, from the characters to the creators to the fans like us who fell in love with this story.

Now it's not all doom and gloom. The writers and artists of the fanzine are taking this as an opportunity to further polish our submissions and consider extra material we might want to submit before the new deadline. The fanzine might be officially on hiatus, but the writers and artists are still going to be working behind the scenes to create beautiful art and stories for everyone to enjoy

Thanks for supporting us all this time. We hope you'll continue to stick around with us, and we really hope you enjoy the fruits of all our labor once the zine is finally published. 💙💛❤️

Hi, friend! My apologies for the late response to this message! I also want to thank you for being a long-time fan of my series! It's been such a pleasure putting it together 💜

The short answer is YES, I will continue it! Here's my long answer explaining what's taking so long:

I never wanted to become someone that writes a super long fic only to have a long hiatus and keep people waiting......but the fact of the matter is I'm only human. We all are. And life gets crazy. We get burned out. Overwhelmed. Busy. It can't be helped!

For myself in particular, I work in the medical field. And right now, it's a shitshow, for a lack of a better word. All the stories you've heard about being overworked, overstaffed and underpaid are true. It's been particularly bad ever since November. I have no plans on staying, as I have financial and mental needs it can't always meet. But I don't want to abandon ship when we're currently working on a major project. It wouldn't be fair, especially to my new coworker. She's just a kid and needs the guidance.

My personal life is busy too. I'm moving in June AND I'm getting married in October of 2025. I'm also hoping to adopt a dog by the end of the year.

BUT!!!! Please know that I have NOT abandoned my story. I'm not trying to make excuses for myself and I'm CERTAINLY not stopping right now. For ages now I've known exactly what direction my fic is going in. I even know how I want to end it. But I gotta work on my life right now.

Your patience is most appreciated and I promise @max-dalton you shall see more of my southern boy soon. Hopefully by the time I'm settled in at home (and ideally at a less stressful job) I can get back into it.

How long do you see Sakamoto days roughly going on for ? Also do you think we’ll get an anime announcement soon ?

Heya. I think we're already 3/4 into the series, and there should be one more remaining arc, or two at most, before the series ends. Judgin from Suzuki-sensei's beastly schedule grind (very rarely he goes on break; it just happened this week), I project that the series might end in early 2025. It might even be sooner than we expect, but we'll see.

As for anime, hmm.. I hope by JF2025 (this year end) we'll get an announcement, and the anime is scheduled for myb third-quarter 2025 or early 2026. The longer the better cuz idw the studio to rush their job & overwork, result in low quality or whatsoever. SakaDays deserve top-tier animation just like any other action-centered series. 🙌🏼

Now excuse my extra rambling here but I often view SakaDays side by side with ONE PUNCH MAN. Takin that as reference, we gots a OPM S3 announcement in Aug 2022 but only last month we got the teaser trailer. And i thought some other studio would animate it but apparently its J.C. Staff again so it looked like no other studios are keen to animate the action-packed OPM.

For SakaDays, which is quite an equivalent due to its action-centered plot thou the earlier stuff is more comedic, it could be a long wait too. Not sure if any studios are keen to pick it up as of date cuz I think the thing stoppin them is probs cuz of Suzuki-sensei's incredible fightin choreography. SakaDays has heavy movie references of cinematography so the studio has to be rly good at adaptin the sequences or else it may not do justice to Suzuki-sensei's work. And tbh if I were an animator, i'd be afraid to take on this project too cuz i wouldnt wanna mess up somebody's work! I thought WIT would be a great studio at first, and i also thought of Park Sunghoo (prev w MAPPA) but then someone said the animation for Ninja Kamui was top tier so i gave the fight scenes a watch on YT and maaaaan, it was awesome! Then i learned that it was Park Sunghoo's new studio that did Ninja Kamui so i'm now all up for his studio to take on SakaDays😎 well here's to hopin for Park Sunghoo's new studio for SakaDays anime, announcement probs at JF2025 in December, and an anime release date around third-quarter of 2025 or early 2026! 🙏

We're all here for the cliches and sayings when it comes to starting into a new year, so I say just go with all of them. When did they become so cliche anyway? You sound like you're gonna be such a busy bee in 2025. I know sometimes you just gotta throw yourself into work to keep a bit of sanity but make sure not to overwork yourself? I think that's what I'm planning for 2025. Embracing everything good and taking care of little Ari as best as I can.

there are so many cliche sayings i could go with for the new year and all the changes. i'm just going to say embracing everything that comes my way and getting back to the old me in a sense. this girl is diving headfirst into work. rhode is working on some new products. i've signed on for a campaign with a new designer and just accepted an invite to fashion week in paris. so i will be heading there at the end of the month! anyone else made any sort of plans? @hhhqstarter

I knowwwww I saw that :'( like damn RT, stop working on a million side projects like the fairy tales series and arrowfell and just let us have the main show 😭 (I say this knowing it takes a ton of time and effort to put a volume together and I far prefer waiting a bit longer to crew members being overworked! Especially with how animators at RT have been treated in the past)

I just can't help but feel a little jilted somehow cause we all assumed "it'll be in 2022!" meant it'd be like, Jan-April 2022 at the latest and now they waited till RTX to tell us "sorry, one more year!" Wish they'd've told us when they knew tbh, corporate reasons be damned

And yes I am biased because every character arc I'm invested in right now is in Vacuo, and I'm terrified of a possible time skip brushing over everything they've set up for them. I want to have more faith that they won't do that, that they know how bad that would be for a litany of reasons I won't ramble about yet again... but given how the show's been written thus far, I can absolutely see them doing that for a surprise factor. I don't wanna wait till 2025 only to find "hey the merge happened offscreen 🙃" at least that'd be consistent with most of Oscar's other major plot points who said that?
