To all of those who are hurt and scared right now, who have been thrown into a state of survival. 

Your feelings are justified.

If history has taught us anything, what happens next will be hard.

This vote is not the end though. There is so much we can all still do.

one thing that got me into your content was your perspective on the story games you played. for example when you played games like little nightmares, fran bow, and night in the woods, your input and commentary of the stories, concepts, and characters was so interesting and entertaining for me, and I'm sure many others

ig what I'm suggesting is games you and the audience can get truly invested in. during those streams, your humor wasn't the only thing carrying the stream, it was also your reactions and input that were refreshing to see.

this may be less like advice and more of a personal preference, actually T-T

Thoughts on trans politics, trans arguments, and where we go from here.

It's so frustrating that transphobes only argumentative tactic is just the constant re-iteration that "trans people can't exist". Whatever way they phrase it, "only two genders", "women can't have penises" it comes down to that.

And beyond the obvious frustration, I mean, they're trying to keep us at an ideological standstill, make this about beliefs instead of hard politics, data, demographics. We can make this about how there is no data to show trans women are more sexually violent than any other demographic of people. But they don't want that, because that would mean they're wrong.

So instead we sit here all day and go back and forth doing this

"Trans people can't exist!"

"Trans people can exist!"

"No, they can't!"

"Yes, they can!"

And none of that changes the fact that trans people DO exist. We fucking exist, guys. Us saying we exist is ENOUGH. We shouldn't need to sit here and wait, in cultural detainment for you, or the businessmen, and the lawmakers to DECIDE if they think we're real or not.

Take us at our word, or don't even entertain the thought, certainly don't pretend you're "concerned".

As for the allies, I know that many of you only joined this fight late in the game to avoid criticism from progressive friends.

But what I think we should do is proceed. As. Normal. Talking shit about trans people should be just as unacceptable in the new administration as it was from 2018-2023. We made a ton of progress on trans rights in the latter half of Trump's first presidency, we can shift the Overton window again.

Because those MAGA assholes outside, they think we're on our way out. That we're close to giving up and shoving ourselves back in the closet. Fuck that. He couldn't stop us before, he's not gonna stop us now.

As long as we have the right to free speech, as long as this doesn't go full on McCarthyism, we should use it to keep advocating. For ourselves and others.

illario as the grandchild that is most like caterina is something i'm loving to chew on. the grandson that took her lessons to heart the most. kill anyone who sees your face and knows your name, "we are not revolutionaries", the first out of the two to prioritise the contract. power at any cost, and the only one to lean into the unnecessary abuse that their grandmother told them was tradition. why is anyone surprised he allied with the venatori? and then there's illario's considerable skill in infiltration and manipulating any mark, he has always had the charisma that lucanis lacked. illario isn't attached, he has/can/will use someone and immediately drop them; "that does free me from promises i don't intend to keep". he can lie about how much he cares so well that he fools a magister into believing he loves her. he kills zara without hesitation to cover his own tracks, meanwhile lucanis blindly promises a young girl in the middle of a siege that he will help her find her father. even the lessons about family stick with him, and in this entire messy power struggle, he never actually orders anyone to directly kill caterina or lucanis, not until he's backed into a corner.

and even after all that. despite even lucanis believing illario should be first talon, lucanis is still the better killer. illario is not strong enough to be the brutal assassin caterina needs him to be. so when lucanis seems to fill the role his mother left, grief and love for her dead heir apparent remains, and any of the other qualities caterina needs in her next talon doesn't matter. whatever his mother was, lucanis has to be. what illario does doesn't matter, because he will always be second best to caterina's memory of her favored daughter.
