I'm Back PAC: Last Summer's Lessons 🎡

Hey everyone, I'm finally back from my unexpectedly long hiatus (I didn't mean for it to stretch out through most of September!). I had a wonky phase and had to patch myself back together. August was rather foggy. I'll just go ahead and blame it all on the astro transits. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks to everyone again for joining the last game and sending me your feedback. I'm not sure if I'll do another game before the end of this year because a huge flux of free readings is fun yet exhausting, but we'll see what Vitamin's cooking up next…

I intended to release this pick a card much sooner, but I pulled out a lot of cards so it took some time to let the messages in. I even had to change the title a few times but I feel this one captures the essence of the reading. Summer's energy was bumpy for many of us, but these seasons don't come without some learning experience to take away from it at the end. This pick a card is definitely for those out there who think time flies way too fast! As autumn is rushing its way in with its Halloween Spirit (lol) before I can even finish swimming and barbecuing, now would be a good time to reflect back on the warmer months for insight.

Hey there pile 1! I had a chuckle when I pulled out Gemini along with Messenger. It fit so well with your phone sticker. "Hello!" Communication was definitely the prime area of your life that was affected during your summer season. You could have a strong Gemini influence in your chart or had a sensitive response to this last Mercury Retrograde. You may have had a lot of expectations about how summer was supposed to go, or had some goals or prospects in mind that didn't turn out as you would have liked. The retrograde energy may have caused delays in things involving communication, like waiting to hear back from a company about a job interview, or waiting to hear back from somebody via text. "Hello, is anybody out there?" Some things may have slipped in between, appointments or online marketplace opportunities that suddenly went cold; whatever the case may be, you didn't hear back and you had to learn to let it go for your own sanity.

Now that it's said and done, you may be currently caught in a slump of how to move those previous goals forward. 10 of Swords at the end almost feels like a resistance or burn out. The pigeon wants you to crack the window open as it's ready to send out new messages in new places. This last summer was like a brief dry spell, but it's not meant to stay that way forever, or even now. The wind is picking up faster than you think, and the 6 of Pentacles shows the energetic tables gradually turning. The cards are suggesting to not hold on to any resentments or frustrations about what has or hasn't happened over the last season. It was not meant to be an energy to breeze through like a cakewalk, and it's especially tough when someone who's relying on communication in some way has to contend with those frustrations. But try not to take the mistakes, failures, no-shows, and ghostings in any personal way. Whatever occurred wasn't due to some real or perceived flaw in your character, it's sometimes how people and situations are for the time. Release all the built up anger however you choose and allow the energy of autumn to flow through, because the Ace of Cups shows a renewal that will quickly wash away the anger if you let it, the way salt water can wash away the pain of fresh hurts.

There is a risk with the shark in letting negative thoughts fester. The weather will change, and with that the mind must follow closely and not be stuck in a season that has already come and gone. We wouldn't wear a swimsuit and sunglasses on a chilly autumn evening, right? So why is it so easy for us to get stuck on past events as if we never changed clothes? The shark can smell vulnerability with a sharp nose, so there is a warning against ruminating and regretting about what went wrong as this will leave you still in the water like an injured duck unaware of its dangerous surroundings. And I say "risk" and "dangerous" not to scare you. But if something in your life hasn't worked out over the summer, it's okay to try again in the fall and expect different results. You aren't crazy for doing the same thing again, things may go differently this time! The real risk is in not doing, but instead choosing to remain stuck and inactive in the mind. The only danger here is in quitting altogether.

You are meant to grow this coming season, in a way that you can witness. I feel like you have done a substantial amount of growing over this last summer, but that may not be entirely apparent to you now. There has been a level up on the subconscious level that is capable of blossoming out into external growth if given the room. You will soon be, if not now are, called to action in some area or areas of your life that needs care but has been left hanging. Summer may have left you feeling tired, but for different reasons than just being overwhelmed from tasks. It can actually get tiring for the mind to hold on to too many goals and tasks at once. It takes mental energy just to remind the brain to do a task, even moreso if your task is to remind yourself of another task! ("Be sure to set a reminder for…") Try to accomplish a little at a time to relieve your brain of them. Give yourself the chance to stand up and have another go in the boxing ring. Summer may have felt like self-sabotage, but it doesn't have to define the rest of your year. If you act now, and in confidence, I know things can change for you as the seasons show us that we are always in a state of flux. Forgive yourself for summer so you can embrace autumn's opportunities in a warm sweater.

Hi, pile 2! Over the past summer, you've been focused mainly around refining your talents. It could be doing something that you're talented in, whether you know it or not, or you could have the topic on your mind. You've been hard at work in developing this area, this feels more passionate than a mere interest or casual hobby. This is like a pianist who spends most of the summer perfecting a song, or an athlete who's staying in shape in time for back-to-school try outs. This is a field you feel comfortable in, you're mostly confident about your abilities even when rigorous practice does its best to wear you out. I'm getting a sense that even though you're pretty capable at succeeding through this one interest, it may be coming at the cost of the rest of your time. There's a sense of not having enough time to focus on other ventures like a social life or relaxation, so in spite of the overall positive energy I get from your talent, it's clearly draining other parts in order to burn brighter and hotter, like a energy inefficient light bulb. Something about the bulb must change to fit your current lifestyle. This summer, you have learned the importance of balancing work with leisure.

You have been spending time working out your vision for how you want to apply your talents. You could be practicing in time to complete a project for college, or busy with expanding your portfolio. This is a very ambitious, career focused pile, and I'm getting most of you reading this one are still in school. You could have gone to summer school this year too (no shame, I went to summer school once and had a blast). Your sunny days are seen as a free space for getting more work done. All this backlog combined with big expectations makes for a crammed season.

At times, things can get overwhelming, but when you look back on past success, it can fuel you to keep moving forward. That's one of the great things about having a portfolio, for whenever you're doubtful about your abilities. The immensity of too much work in a short span can wear down on self esteem, but there is no room to feel bad about your talent just because it's not always perfect or things aren't completed on time. Even the most accomplished get bogged down by their work. When I see bad sleep in a reading, I get concerned because I know that, while it seems harmless at first, it can spiral down health if it's not addressed quickly. Autumn is often busier energy wise than summer as school has started, and offices run by fiscal quarters, so it's important to catch up on sleep when you get the chance. Doing a lot of work in the summer only to do more in the autumn can be tiring, so carve out short times in between to relax or do something light and easy in between the flux. Don't always look at space as an opportunity to cram more work; sometimes that space is needed for a different reason.

Find a way to balance both the practical sides of life with the fun creative aspects. There will always be time to put focus into what you want to do, even if it's only for a few minutes a day. If work is peeling you away from something you really enjoy doing, time yourself to have that fun for five or ten minute sessions. Even when things get hectic as midterms get closer, a few minutes to sit back will do wonders. The seasons are temporary, so try to enjoy what you can when you can. Summer may have had its stresses and its phases of mental fog, but autumn can be filled with chances to sit back and enjoy the fall scenery for a spell.

Pile 3 - Cool! + Gameboy 🎮

What's going on, pile 3? I see that, like pile 1, you may have also been heavily affected by the Mercury retrograde that took up most of last August. Gameboy Colors, while considered obsolete now (seriously, no lil emoji? ;-;), boasted amazing features in handheld gaming asides from the nice colorful games at its prime. Using a cable link, you could physically connect two Gameboys together to communicate and share between devices. Now, we can do all that wirelessly, but it was literally game changing back then as it allowed players to play together, face-to-face. I see you've learned how to move past some old fashioned form of communication that isn't working for you anymore. You could have even swapped gaming devices, computers, or phones over this last summer. You could have erased old contacts from your phone or friends from social media sites. I'm even getting a change in terms of transportation, where you're choosing to go out instead of staying in or vise versa. You could have used a different way to get around last summer, like using a shuttle bus or traveling by boat or train. This could have been to get somewhere or (in a boat case) been a part of a social event or party.

There could have been a situation which roused up some heated arguments between you and people close to you, whether friends or coworkers. This arguing, regardless of what it was, wore down on your defenses and you decided to pull away. Much of the bickering could have been due to unfair comparisons made between others. Someone may have been aggressive towards you over feeling envious of something you are or have. Whatever it may be, I feel here that pulling back was the healthier option. Sometimes, people want to keep you involved in their tensions, but I see you refusing to engage in unproductive arguments that go nowhere. Summer just wasn't the season for that stress, and you knew better this time around. You addressed things calmly and with compassion. Maybe that's why they're worked up over your energy; just refusing to engage makes you look "Cool!"er by comparison. (This sounds spicy when I write it down but I got to call it as I vitamin see it ok!) Summer is a time for staying cool, and now that autumn rolls in, you can put more focus into enjoying its splendors.

The time was and still is ripe for self-care and inner nurturing. Retreating to heal allowed those old emotions to work themselves out until the situation no longer felt as harsh when remembered about. If a company is making unwanted changes at the office, at this point you're past the sweating and complaining with other coworkers because you're more in the phase of waiting for good days and better results. If a trip didn't work out because of miscommunication, the time is better for planning the next one instead of mulling over what went wrong before. Your energy is just like, so what if things weren't perfect because things may be better tomorrow? And I think that's a great mindset to have when shifting between the seasons. Pumpkin Spice is right above the poor 7 of Wands. This card is all about that basic girl fall vibe, cozy and warm and far far away from whatever nonsense happened in recent past. You're moving from acting like the warrior to acting like the empress who's ready to snuggle up with fuzzy blankets and a cup of tea while watching the leaves dance and flutter. I honestly don't think this pile misses summer, y'all seem ready to go for fall!

With all that difficult energy out of the way, you can focus more on how you want to fulfill your personal time. If you were a mod to an online chat or a part of a social group and you dropped out of that role for the season, then it will now be easy to re-allocate that time to something more enjoyable and soothing. It's the "moisturized, hydrated, in my lane, flourishing" momentum going here, it started in summer and it's a great progress to have all through autumn. I see you entering hermit mode to establish a safe space for yourself starting around August, and it's likely that you will be in that phase for awhile. No pressure to hook Gameboy cable links with anybody if they're gonna fizzle out your fun, right? Although Mercury retrograde is over, there will be times when that old smoke tries to blow through again. I don't see you remaining totally settled in the months to come, but it will still feel like an upgrade compared to last summer.

Pile 4 - Wow! + Turntable 💿

How's it going pile 4? Out of all the piles it seems like yours had the most amount of positive experiences, even if it was only from the start of the season. You wanted to have an action-packed summer to remember. You could have spent a lot of time by the beach or near bodies of water like lakes, soaking in the summer sun while you had the chance. I'm seeing so much here about dreaminess happening, like you went to a dream concert or an unforgettable party. With all the fantasy theme here, you could have visited a renaissance faire or an amusement park based around fantasy. On the other hand, you have both Neptune and the descriptive card Mirage, which both talk about illusion. And the 7 of Swords makes an appearance here, too. So perhaps something that was meant to be awesome may not have gone perfectly as planned, even if you still had a good time. Perhaps the seating at the concert wasn't perfect, or a rain forced an outside party to move indoors. More than one parade may have been rained on, or friends could have bailed out of exciting plans at the last minute. Nevertheless, you learned over this summer to go with the flow and have fun despite how situations or relationships end up as things still may have turned out wonderful anyway.

I'm also getting that over this summer, you may have met with someone special. It could have been at an event where you laughed while exchanging jokes and numbers. Perhaps your season was spent thinking about this fascinating person, whether they were a cute person you're crushing on or seeing a celebrity on stage (while dreaming about the backstage pass). The last few months could have had you swept up in a whirlwind of fantasy, imagining what could be based on brief but memorable interactions. It's important not let passions mislead you when you meet somebody during the rush of an awesome event. I'm not saying for certain you didn't meet the "one", but chances are if you meet them again, you will need to do so from a grounded place before anything can happen. Let's say you met them while vacationing far from home. Yes, they were cute, but take some time to reflect on your feelings before pursuing something that may realistically be tricky to pull off.

You may have either received or lost a pair of glasses. They could have been prescription glasses or sunglasses (why are sunglasses among the easiest things to lose?). I think this may be a message about learning to use all your senses. Look at things closely to understand how certain things happened, if for example you're figuring out how to prevent a bad occurrence from happening again. Like if a party didn't turn out right because the DJ used a bad playlist, then you must look more closely at the finer details for next time by knowing what kind of music or DJ will be more appropriate for the next party. If a surf outing turned sour because of low tide, find a way to schedule dates that better correspond with the ocean's changes. This past summer wanted to teach you how to become more adaptable to various shifts, like how a DJ remixes music at the turntable/laptop. The point isn't to always play things by rote; life has a habit of switching it up to keep things from getting too stale.

Now that autumn is on its way, you're heading for a fresh emotional start but with a clearer lens. You have walked out of the summer sun feeling greatly inspired by its magic. Now it's time to take hold of those inspired thoughts and feelings in the pursuit of a goal. Wheel of Destruction pt. 1 - The Adventure Begins!

(A quick note: This module is written as if the player is using Batman as their character. I'll be swapping Nightwing's name in for Batman as I transcribe story segments, but I want to still share the module as unedited as possible; please forgive any weirdness like references to a cape or anything like that.)

"Yes, it's the Wheel of Destruction! The new game show where you, the audience, can play to save Gotham's most cherished landmarks." This announcement is greeted with synthetic-sounding wheezes and screams. The camera pans out to an ecstatically clapping crowd. Each member of the audience is a robot with an [sic] blank metal face. They jerk in spasmodic parodies of glee each time the 'Applause' sign flashes brilliantly above them. "What will it be tonight? Gotham Tower? The new First Avenue Bridge? Well, you'll know soon 'cause here's your host, the old funster himself, The Joker!" The Joker glides from behind a crimson curtain, accompanied by two leggy, masked chorines. The electronic audience goes up for grabs. Some of the machines literally fall out of their seats. The Joker holds up a green-gloved hand, his accustomed leer widening. "Why thank you, thank you. You're too kind...too kind." He pauses and stares at his two assistants. "Ah, my dears, not being coy, are we? Come now." He reaches out with both hands and snatches the masks off the girls, revealing two brooding, bearded faces. The robot audience goes wild, fizzling and popping its appreciation. "Oh, dear," the Joker says with mock dismay. "That was a mistake. Well, on with the game. Our first contestant, if you please!" A side curtain goes up, a turntable whirs and spins, and there is Commissioner Gordon, bound and gagged. To his left and right are two wheels, one depicts six Gotham landmarks, and the other shows six different forms of destruction. "Wellll...shall I explain how we play our little game? I'll ask Commissioner Gordon to give me ten letters. Those letters might help you figure out a secret clue phrase, the clue to which of these six landmarks I plan to destroy." The Joker gestures grandly at the wheel with the pictured landmarks. "After he sees where those ten letters fit in the clue phrase, if at all, I'll roll the giant ten-sided die to see how many extra letters he gets. If he's clever, he'll get lots of letters from the phrase, and you should be able to figure out my target. "And the prize? Why, you'll have a clue to my target for tonight. You see, I will destroy a famous Gotham landmark, unless you pay me $1 million in cash. Fail to do so and one of these," the Joker says, pointing again to the wheel with the landmarks pictured, "will experience one of these." He gestures at the wheel adorned with explosions, fire, and other ghastly destructions. "Of course, there's always the chance that the Batman or some other meddling fool with try to stop me. But that's part of the fun too! So, shall we play?" "Tonight's phrase, please." The curtain behind the Joker rises and the camera reveal the blank letters of the clue phrase.

Time for some hangman! The clue phrase is 13 letters. We get 10 letter choices from Gordon, and 1d10 extra letters. Our die roll gets us an additional *click-clack* 6!

The Joker turns to the camera for a disturbing close-up. "There's your clue, dear Gotham. And now, I have work to do...unless you broadcast your willingness to pay me. Just announce over the radio, within the next 30 minutes, that you have my $1 million." "And folks, don't forget to tune in tomorrow night!" The sickly-sweet, piano music swells, its light frivolity out-of-place. Then, suddenly, the screen goes blank.

Author commentary:

As you watch this animation load, the "GATE 5" up there is really ominous. The Fifth Gate? What happened to…the first four?

You wouldn't guess it just going by the scenery, but LOHAC is the bustling financial capital of the Medium. There is a thriving stock exchange here, run by energetic, greedy lizards.

This animation was pretty slick at the time. Lots of action, cool music. Neat time tricks by Dave. It's an absolutely massive time skip that left everyone overwhelmed by its implications. Dave has already been here for months, battling monsters, hopping around gears. He's made a stylish new suit too, I guess to foster a certain Secret Time Agent chic. He's like the James Bond of horsing around with weaponized time travel, is the message being conveyed here.

Just as the monsters on LOWAS and LOLAR have oil and chalk themes, these ones on LOHAC are amber-themed and yield grist accordingly. I touched on this a while back, but the "planetary pollutant" in a world full of clockwork would be a substance that could gum up the clockwork and make it tick slowly or grind to a halt. That would be a sticky, hardening substance like amber. The quest here on this planet, if done by the book, would involve clearing the land of its sticky pollutants so the gears could tick freely, which probably would wake up the denizen, and so on and so on…

But here's the first glimpse of why so often in this story the by-the-book quest falls into the background as something trivial, like a sidebar of mythos-color that's mainly of academic interest and not plot importance. It's because there's always bigger fish to fry. Something more imminently concerning or threatening, like having to survive for months in this hellhole while two of your friends are dead.

He did it. He prototyped the crowsprite with Cal. He knew it was a bad idea. But he did it anyway. The cursed journey of Davesprite begins with one unspeakable folly. So tragic.

Say what you will about Calsprite. He's a formidable combatant. That huge puppet-ass attack? Absolutely devastating.

This sword concept is pretty cool. Caledscratch, as the weapon is named, is a broken sword, which Dave can wield thanks to his ½bladekind specibus. But it has a built-in time travel mechanism that allows it to cycle through previous states in its history, including back to a period of time when it was not yet broken. So it can extend and contract at Dave's will. A bit like a lightsaber, maybe? If you could turn on a lightsaber only halfway, I guess.

Dave is doing all these cool time-attack tricks. Hopping forward and backward in time, but only by a little to keep the maneuvers simple. Each time he does, he's creating a little stable time loop he has to account for. Good practice for a Knight of Time.

Starting now, Dave gets into the habit of casually encountering himself a lot. It's kind of his thing. Some kind of charactery thing about his character that he has to deal with, think about, and learn from. What? Referring to it as a charactery thing about him isn't highbrow enough for you? Why don't you go back to book school for lame nerds, you dork.

He made some TURNTABLES offscreen over the last few months. They let him time travel. I'm not sure what he used to make them, other than his record players from home. Looks like some sort of mystical gear component he probably plundered from the local industrial ruins. He probably went on a lot of exciting but lonely adventures on this planet we'll never get to see or hear about.

Those block-type grists are sulphur. I wonder how many huge sulphur cubes have fallen into the lava over the course of his Knight of Time berserker fits? They're kind of like giant, stinky bouillon cubes falling into a huge vat of boiling broth. It probably absolutely reeks on LOHAC when Dave goes on a rampage.

Right about now, the Ruby Giclops is wondering where it all went wrong in his life. It was probably when he, for some inexplicable reason, decided to swim through an ocean of lava to go mess with this boy in a suit going nuts with a sword.

You can tell Dave is probably overloaded with grist he doesn't particularly need by now. He carves up that giclops, and it starts raining huge rubies everywhere. But he doesn't seem to care at all about harvesting them. Instead, he takes a moment to yell at his puppet.

Thomas and Friends: Sodor Online Journeys (Story 16): Tenders and Turntables

Henry the Green Engine was in disgrace. He was tasked to be taking two trucks/cars full of workmen to a tunnel that had been blocked, but because of his hubris and ego, he was pushed out of the tunnel and ended up seeing an elephant. Now Henry was back in service, alongside Gordon and James. However, he told the passengers the news, and boarded the train without any issue. But unknown to the three of them, they managed a small smile at that, but they spoke too soon. Slowly but surely, the three big engines were planning to have a long talk later tonight.

The Big Station had both ends of the line each have a turntable. The Fat Controller/Sir Topham Hatt had made them so that the four engines can be turned around because it is dangerous for them to go fast backwards. Some Tank Engines like Thomas don't need Turntables. They can go just as well backwards as forwards, but if you hear Gordon talking a while ago, you would've heard that the Fat Controller/Sir Topham Hatt had given him a tender just to show how important he was.

"You don't understand, Little Thomas. We tender engines have a position to keep up. It doesn't matter where you go, but we are important, and for the Fat Controller/Sir Topham Hatt to make us shunt trucks/do shunting, fetch coaches, and go on to those dirty sidings, It's…It's…Well it's not the proper thing." Thomas chuckled and went off with Annie and Clarabel.

"Disgraceful!" Gordon hissed as he ran backwards to the turntable. The turntable was in a windy place close to the sea, and if he was not it just right, he put it out of balance, and made it difficult to turn. Today, Gordon was in a bad temper, and the wind was blowing fiercely. His driver tried to make him stop in the right place, but Gordon wasn't trying. The fireman tried to turn the handle, but Gordon's weight and the strong wind prevented him. "It's no good." they said at last. "Your big tender upsets the balance. If you were a nice/little tank engine, you'd be alright. Now you'll have to pull the next train backwards."

"Hey look! Come quick!" called some boys. "There's a new tank engine! Oh, it's only Gordon back to front." "Hello, Gordon!" called Thomas. "Playing tank engines? That's a sensible engine. Take my advice, scrap your tender, and have a nice bunker like mine." Gordon said nothing. Even James laughed when he saw him. "Take care." hissed Gordon. "You might stick too." "No fear." chuckled James. "I'm not so fat as you."

"I mustn't stick." thought James. He stopped on just the right place to balance the table. It could now swing easily. Gordon arrived in time to see everything. James turned much too easily. The wind puffed him round like a top, and he couldn't stop. At last, the wind died down, and James stopped turning. "Well, Well, Well." said Gordon. "Are you playing roundabouts?" Poor James, feeling quite giddy rolled off to a shed without a word.

That night, the three engines had an indignation meeting. "It's shameful to treat tender engines like this. Henry gets hooshed by elephants, Gordon goes backwards, and people think he is a tank engine, James spins round like a top, and everyone laughs at us, and to add to that, the Fat Controller/Sir Topham Hatt makes us all shunt in dirty sidings! Ugh!" "Listen," said Gordon, and he whispered something to the others. "We'll do it tomorrow. The Fat Controller/Sir Topham Hatt will look silly." The Engines have decided to go on strike.

In the dim string lights strewn across the campus grounds two lone figures walk, their hands entangled in a practiced ease. "I don't know why I let you talk me into this.", the man says, his feet dragging in feigned reluctance.

"Because I am your wife and the love of your life and you can't say no to me?"

"Who said anything about the love of my life?"

"You take that back right now Ethan Ramsey.", her face scrunches up in a pout, which immediately softens as Ethan bends down to kiss her.

"I promise we'll leave the moment it starts getting weird or boring."

"I'll hold you to that promise Rookie."

"Is that Ethan Ramsey?"

"With Diana Ramirez?"

"I heard they were married?"

"Is it though? There was nothing in the tabloids?"

"I heard he is extremely private."

"Have you seen him? I'd be private too."

Whispers followed them as they made their way through the hall, whispers they were quite accustomed to by now.

"They are talking about us. Again." Ethan grumbles for what seems to be the hundredth time.

"Just a few minutes more and Arjun and Caitlin will be here soon. And then we can be around normal people. Till then we can go chat with some of our professors. I heard that Professor Mori will be here, let's go meet her."

The older woman's face splits into a dazzling smile the moment she spots Diana tugging along Ethan with her.

"If it isn't my two favorite students together.I didn't think you would come"

"Diana forced me obviously."

"At least one of you is the voice of reason then.", the familiarity of the well practiced gentle admonishment from Professor Mori was enough to put them at ease.

"So how long have you two been married?"

"Since last October actually."

"And in these five months she has already worked her magic on you, didn't believe I'd see the day Ethan Ramsey will bring a date to a reunion, much less a wife."

"It's the other way round actually, I am here as her plus one."

"Hah! How the turntables, Diana's been making news lately, your paper on vestibular ataxia has been garnering a lot of good reviews these days.", she turned to Diana. "Actually I wanted to talk about it with you. If you could spare a few minutes."

"I am surprised you actually showed up Ethan.", a voice he hadn't thought of in years, startled him from his reverie.

Isabella White

"Although I had a feeling you would be here this year, what with your fairly unknown wife needing all the introductions in our field."

"You really should broaden your horizons regarding the people you share an alumni matter with Doctor White."

"What do you mean?"

"The fact that Doctor Ramirez, youngest keynote speaker at WHO medical symposium doesn't need introductions at her own med school."

The approaching figure in red, draws his attention in a way that he misses the smug smile on Isabella's face fall.

"Hey sorry, I couldn't get away from Doctor Toussaint and his team faster, got into the bit where he started recounting the day Sienna told you he was asking for you."

"Of course he would say that."

"Oh who's that you're talking with?"

"This is Dr. Isabella White, we were in the same year."

"We dated back in our Med School days."

"Oh Tobias and Ethan told me a lot about you." Her smile, successful enough to hide her steely gaze.

"Well we should be going, it was nice meeting you." From her tone it was anything but.

Starlight and string lights lead them through the campus, through memories of bygone days.

Diana leads him to a sheltered alcove by the internal medicine building.

"This place hasn't changed a bit."

"I didn't think anyone knew about this place."

"Probably not many people do, people hardly come here to the back."

"But you did."

"In my final year after the falling out with Tobias, I found this place, I used to sit here and—"

"brood?", a soft adoring smile plays on her face.

"Yeah probably."

"See this little broken edge? That was me."

"I always thought who would have an agenda against garden decorations"

Sitting in silence was never difficult for them as long as they had their fingers intertwined.

It was Diana who broke the silence, "I just find it odd that we both found this place in our different times here, I know you don't believe in soulmates but—"

He doesn't let her continue, his sudden movement in drawing her to him silencing her mid-speech.

His lips captures hers in the blink of an eye, the wind picking up the little murmured, "no, but I am starting to."

Siblings Reunited, Part 4

When August finally rolled around, Polly was still in the steamworks, getting a final once over before going to surprise her eldest brother. Her new Brunswick Green paintwork seemed to glow as the light from a nearby window reflected off of her boiler. "I wish Scotty could be here.." She sighed. "I know, but hes getting his boiler overhauled and recertified in preparation for his 100th next febuary." Her new driver said, hopping into her cab. Pollys eyes followed various people as they walked around her. "So? Whats the verdict?" The engine asked nervously. "Am i mainline certified?" Her eyes lit up when she was given the all clear. Her driver and fireman looked equally excited. "We knew you would be!" Cheered her fireman. "For an engine who was left to rust for almost 60 years, you ran like an absolute dream!" Her driver beamed. "And my boiler was recertified about a week ago..- huh?" She looked up as she heard her name called. "Yes sir?" It was Sir Topham Hatt, coming to see if Polly was given the green light. "So! How is everything going?" He asked. "We're good to go, sir! I've just been mainline certified!" Pollys eyes sparkled in excitement. "Wonderful!! And im assuming your boiler is certified?" "It sure is!" The railways controller grinned, stepping up into her cab. "Most excellent! With all the formalities out of the way, let us be off! Everyone is waiting!"

Henry could hardly conceal his excitement as he and all the other engines sat in the sheds, waiting for the new arrival. Everyone, like Henry, was VERY excited. Gordon, however.. Gordon was annoyed. Everyone was keeping a massive secret from him. Everyone, even his own crew! He felt betrayed, there was no two ways about it. The express engine caught various snippets of his friends' conversations as he looked from one area to another. "I heard she looks more splendid than James!" "Oh, ha ha! Very funny, Thomas. No engine is more splendid than me!" "We'll see about that, James. If my crews reports are right, shes due to arrive any minute!" Everyone was hushed as a new whistle tore through the air. Gordons eyes snapped up at the sound. "What..? That whistle sounds.. Oddly similar to mine.. But.. Its not Scotsmans.." Now he was more confused than mad. That confusion changed rapidly to utter shock as he saw the new engine turn the corner. Memories flooded his mind, memories of past conversations he had with Scotsman about what their little siblings had gotten up to on the mainland prior to the famous engines visit to Sodor. Tears welled in Gordon's eyes as he looked at who sat on the turntable before him. The air felt thick enough you could cut it with a knife, and no engine made a sound as they let Gordon process what was happening. "Polly..?" He finally choked out, his voice hoarse. "Its me, Gordie. Im alive." Polly smiled, beginning to tear up herself. "But how..? You and the others were.. In the 60s, you.." "I know. But i was never fully dismantled. I was also far enough back in the scrapyard that they kind of just.. Forgot about me, and left me to rust. I dont fully understand it myself, but.. I literally owe my life to Henry over there. If he hadn't stopped when i called out to him, this reunion wouldn't be happening." Henry blushed, looking at his buffers. "I was only thinking of my friends, and the wellbeing of a fellow steam engine." He muttered bashfully. Gordon looked at Henry, tears rolling down his face as he just smiled. "Thank you, Henry.. Now i understand why you all were rushing back and forth to the steamworks all the time.. You were racing the clock to get everything done on time." Henry smiled, looking up at the tearful blue express engine. "It wasnt just us on Sodor, Gordon. We recieved a lot help from The Mainland, too. It was a team effort to get Polly's overhaul and recertifications done in time for your birthday." Sir Topham Hatt had by now exited Polly's cab, and was now standing on the turntable beside her. "I couldnt have said it better myself. Well done, all of you. You did an excellent job preparing Gordon's birthday surprise. You all can have the rest of the day off. You've more than earned it." The engines couldnt help but smile, remaining silent as their controller continued his impromptu speech as he stepped off the turntable. "This was by no means a cheap undertaking, but i honestly cannot think of a better way to have spent the money, than on Gordon. He has done so much for us, taking charge of twice daily express services for.. How long has it been? 89 years, at least? I knew we would have to go big for his centenary, and when Henry and his crew gave me their report on what they had heard and seen on their return journey from Doncaster Station, i knew what had to be done. Happy Birthday, Gordon." Gordon sniffled, a huge, tearful smile plastered on his face as all the engines wished him a a very happy birthday. Polly had since been turned around, and had backed into a new shed that had been specially built just for her. "Happy 100th Birthday, big brother. I love you."

[GM] This probably just registers to Jack as, Sammy griping about a party, which isn't that strange. [Jack] Yeahhhh, he wants to leave. He always does that. I wanna stay at least a little longer! [GM] That just means it's Jack's job to find them something fun and good to do. [Sammy] Oh boy, [GM] I don't think Jack is being compelled to be aggressive about this necessarily, he just feels like he's Jack at a party, doing the things Jack normally does, and trying to have a good time! [Sammy] Ah, and everyone else is being weird, [GM] Yeah! Everybody's being really weird! You're at this nice party, and now you're in this weird room? The party's back there somewhere! [Jack] I mean not that he's opposed to bein' dragged into side rooms at parties by cute boys, but,

[GM] The table looks like a table that Henry has in his house, actually. [Sammy] Have I ever been in Henry's house? These are questions I didn't expect to need to ask tonight.

[Sammy] Jack, this is weird! You see this is weird, right?! [Jack] Well yeah, it is kinda weird that we're in-- what are we doing here? [Joey] Joey is going to grab Jack's arm, and point to the next door, and go "Party is this way!"

[GM] Peter looks worried... [Sammy] Sammy looks worried too! Well, Sammy looks angry, but in a worried way.

[Joey] Joey is going to scream frustratedly. [Sammy] Is there ink in this room? [GM] There is not. [Jack] Is there a party in this room? [GM] Definitely no, only the party you bring with you.

[Joey] Joey is going to scream again. [Joey] He's also going to kick the door. He might stub his toe. [Sammy] Through all this, Joey is smiling. I just need us all to remember that. [Joey] YES. Also his tail is furiously going. [GM] Bendy is also upset! There is nothing to eat here.

[Joey] Joey is going to try to feed Bendy some ideas, [GM] He doesn't want ideas, he wants food!

[Joey] So.... what happens if you fumble a sanity roll?

[GM] See, here's the silly part. At this point, right? At this point, the best place to do the tasks you want to do, involve either getting the stone out of the room with the safe, or having the staff that Henry is currently holding. [Sammy] So you would arrive, by completely different means, to the same place that we are! [GM] Clearly Joey is inside the safe.

[Jack] Bad and naughty Joey Drews get put in the safe to atone for their sins!

[Henry] Henry is going to channel his inner Joey Drew and round the corner and say "No, sorry about him, we're just here on inspection, we need to check the safe." [Henry] Which is probably a Fast Talk, which I hope it isn't, because my Fast Talk is a 5. [GM] Unless you wanna try to turn that into a persuade somehow? [Henry] I'll do Persuade! [GM] What are you doing to persuade them, rather than just lying? [Henry] *rolls* I failed... I'm gonna push it... [Sammy] *uneasy noises* IF YOU PUSH IT AND IT GOES BAD, IT GOES WORSE [Henry] AH! HAHA! I ROLLED A SIX! [Sammy] THAT'S STILL NOT LESS THAN FIVE! [Henry] WELL IM DOING PERSUADE! [Sammy] That means you have to NOT LIE! [Henry] ....Fuck. [Sammy] Sammy cannot believe that this is working.

[GM] Bendy does wonder what his plan is for getting out of the safe. This does not seem like a fun party place. [Joey] Um, [Joey] Joey says it's a surprise.

[GM] Henry, the safe does indeed open! And there's a Joey! [GM] Bendy says "Oh wow!" [Henry] Henry tries his best to keep a straight face, like yes! this is exactly what he came here for! [Sammy] (Sammy is NOT keeping a straight face) [Jack] (Straight? In this party?)

[Jack] He's probably saying something like, "What are you doing, he's one of us!" [Jack] And that could go either way. That could mean "No, he's chill, I will persuade you to stop!" Or that could mean, "We are also criminals!"

[GM, as the guards] Then why does he look like the Yellow King's messenger? [Henry] *not missing a beat* We get that a lot.

[GM] Something falls from the sky and lands in front of him. And it's a person! [Joey] Is he alive? [GM] Very much not. [Sammy] How... how Illusion of Living canon-compliant is this Joey...?

[Jack] So... it would probably occur to Jack that this is weird for a party,

[Henry] Joey don't touch it! [Joey] Why not? [Henry] There's runes around it. I don't know if you can touch it. [Joey] Joey's gonna touch it. [Henry] *long-suffering sigh* If you get zapped, I'll tell you I told you so!

[Jack] Jack really wishes we were just back at the party right now, you guys... [Jack] Only bad things have happened. [Jack] Pete's traumatised, Joey's goopy, the Lurker ate all of the snacks,

[Sammy] Can I try to break free from Henry? Sammy's gonna try to run over there. [Henry] At this point, Sam can go, if he wants. [Sammy] Okay, cool. Then Sammy's gonna go and put ink in his mouth! [Henry] Goddammit. I was hoping you were going to check on Joey!

[Joey] You can’t take all of the sanity hits! You have to leave some for other people! [Jack] Says you! You got so many temps!! And an indefinite!!

[GM] Bendy probably is complaining loudly about WHY DID HE WALK THROUGH THE RUNES??? [Joey] Oh! I thought he was going to complain about the party, or lack thereof, [GM] That’s part of not having fun at the party, he’s not into that! [Joey] Well, [GM] This is not a fun party activity!!

[GM] But he doesn’t think it will destroy either of them, if you do it right! [Jack] That’s a nice, way to end that sentence,

[Sammy] Let us hurry! May I take the stone? [Joey] Joey shrugs. [Sammy] Sammy will, uh, attempt to reach inside of... whatever this is, and find the stone. [Henry] Reach INTO your LOCAL boss, and you will find A Friend And Boy,

[Sammy] Is there anything in this room that I can pick up, and then hit him in the head with? [GM] Henry has a stick... uh....there’s a projector.... [Sammy] Can I pick that up? [GM] No, you cannot. [Sammy] It would be REALLY funny if Sammy dropped a projector on someone else’s head. [Sammy] HOW THE TURNTABLES!!!

[GM] ...Can you impale with a rocking horse...???? [Sammy] I don’t want to impale, I want to knock him in the head so he passes out!!! Rest your head, it’s time for bed!!!

[Jack] I don’t think Jack has any plans after this! [Jack] I meant that in the sense that he doesn’t know what he’s doing next, but the way I phrased it, now it just sounds like he’s hitting on Fowler, like, he doesn’t have anything to do after this, are you free? That’s not canon.

[Joey] I don’t know how this will go, [Sammy] Good luck! [Joey] But Joey would like to-- [Sammy] Sammy believes in half of you! [GM] w-which Sammy? wHICH HALF?!

[Jack] I know you said “note.” But my brain at first processed that word as “milk.” [Henry] *laughing* “Did you get my milk, Fowler?” [Jack] He drank the last carton and he didn’t buy more! [Sammy] “I’m going to the store, want me to get anything? *jumps into the lake*”

There's a LONG commentary here, so it goes under a cut.

As you watch this animation load, the "GATE 5" up there is really ominous. The Fifth Gate? What happened to...the first four? You wouldn't guess it just going by the scenery, but LOHAC is the bustling financial capital of the Medium. There is a thriving stock exchange here, run by energetic, greedy lizards. This animation was pretty slick at the time. Lots of action, cool music. Neat time tricks by Dave. It's an absolutely massive time skip that left everyone overwhelmed by its implications. Dave has already been here for months, battling monsters, hopping around gears. He's made a stylish new suit too, I guess to foster a certain Secret Time Agent chic. He's like the James Bond of horsing around with weaponized time travel, is the message being conveyed here. Just as the monsters on LOWAS and LOLAR have oil and chalk themes, these ones on LOHAC are amber-themed and yield grist accordingly. I touched on this a while back, but the "planetary pollutant" in a world full of clockwork would be a substance that could gum up the clockwork and make it tick slowly or grind to a halt. That would be a sticky, hardening substance like amber. The quest here on this planet, if done by the book, would involve clearing the land of its sticky pollutants so the gears could tick freely, which probably would wake up the denizen, and so on and so on... But here's the first glimpse of why so often in this story the by-the-book quest falls into the background as something trivial, like a sidebar of mythos-color that's mainly of academic interest and not plot importance.

It's because there's always bigger fish to fry. Something more imminently concerning or threatening, like having to survive for months in this hellhole while two of your friends are dead. He did it. He prototyped the crowsprite with Cal. He knew it was a bad idea. But he did it anyway. The cursed journey of Davesprite begins with one unspeakable folly. So tragic. Say what you will about Calsprite. He's a formidable combatant. That huge puppet-ass attack? Absolutely devastating. This sword concept is pretty cool. Caledscratch, as the weapon is named, is a broken sword, which Dave can wield thanks to his ½bladekind specibus. But it has a built-in time travel mechanism that allows it to cycle through previous states in its history, including back to a period of time when it was not yet broken. So it can extend and contract at Dave's will. A bit like a lightsaber, maybe? If you could turn on a lightsaber only halfway, I guess. Dave is doing all these cool time-attack tricks. Hopping forward and backward in time, but only by a little to keep the maneuvers simple. Each time he does, he's creating a little stable time loop he has to account for. Good practice for a Knight of Time. Starting now, Dave gets into the habit of casually encountering himself a lot. It's kind of his thing. Some kind of charactery thing about his character that he has to deal with, think about, and learn from. What? Referring to it as a charactery thing about him isn't highbrow enough for you? Why don't you go back to book school for lame nerds, you dork.

He made some TURNTABLES offscreen over the last few months. They let him time travel. I'm not sure what he used to make them, other than his record players from home. Looks like some sort of mystical gear component he probably plundered from the local industrial ruins. He probably went on a lot of exciting but lonely adventures on this planet we'll never get to see or hear about. Those block-type grists are sulphur. I wonder how many huge sulphur cubes have fallen into the lava over the course of his Knight of Time berserker fits? They're kind of like giant, stinky bouillon cubes falling into a huge vat of boiling broth. It probably absolutely reeks on LOHAC when Dave goes on a rampage. Right about now, the Ruby Giclops is wondering where it all went wrong in his life. It was probably when he, for some inexplicable reason, decided to swim through an ocean of lava to go mess with this boy in a suit going nuts with a sword. You can tell Dave is probably overloaded with grist he doesn't particularly need by now. He carves up that giclops, and it starts raining huge rubies everywhere. But he doesn't seem to care at all about harvesting them. Instead, he takes a moment to yell at his puppet.

Yeah, there's a lot here, from inconsequential to VERY consequential - the same can't quite be said of the Flash, being short enough that all the details are fairly relevant. To summarize, Dave's now up to the 5th gate and capable of casual time travel, accompanied by Calsprite. We don't know this yet, but he's been in there for months with two out of three of his best friends dead and the trolls absent. He's having it...very rough.

December 3, 2018

Today's the day Shawn and I film the music video for "Fake Smile" and when I got home from Boston I had texted him and asked him to meet me in L.A. so that we could get this done because we'll be releasing the song very soon and he was on board 100%. I love that he's always willing to help me out and basically drop everything to help me with our song. I love how passionate he is when it comes to his music and our shared song, I really appreciate him so much and I have enjoyed working with him.

So my usual music video director Hanna Lux Davis has found an available warehouse to film some scenes for our video. So we are going to shoot those scenes first and then we'll get the rest sometime in the day. This warehouse was about 45 minutes to an hour away from where I lived so I had to leave an extra hour early to get there in time.

When I arrived Hannah came out and made sure I got into the building ok because the area was kind of on the scratchy side of L.A.

when I got inside I saw the set that had been built days prior to today, in the middle of this big open floor of the warehouse is a huge white screen set up on the floor and up to the ceiling with a big circular spinning turntable with a big white wall in the middle of the turntable.

I'm assuming I'll be on one side and Shawn will be on the other side of the wall and they'll have us spinning around slowly, but I don't know anything just yet. Shawn had arrived shortly after you and while you were still taking in the set he quickly hugged you from behind making you jump in his arms.

"Holy shit Shawn you scared the hell out of me!" You exclaim while turning to face him and he's got a smug smile on his face.

"That was the goal Leigh, and it's good to see you again." He says to you while chuckling at how you reacted.

"It's good to see you as well, but you didn't have to scare me." You say in a fake annoyed tone.

"Yeah I know but it was funny and deep down you know it was funny too." He says and you smile after trying not to for the past few minutes and then you start laughing.

"Yeah your right, but don't do it again. I hate being scared even though it's funny afterwards in the moment I hate feeling like that." You tell him and he nods to you.

"Ok I won't scare you anymore, so what are we doing first?" He asks you

"Honestly Hannah hasn't told me yet I guess she was waiting for both of us to get here to give us the rundown." You tell him and he nods again.

"Ok cool, we'll let's find and figure out what we're supposed to be doing." He says and leases you around trying to find Hannah.

You both found her and she told you that you both would first be going through hair and make up and then to just stand on the platform on different sides of the wall with your backs to it. After finishing hair and make up you both got in your places and Hannah was telling you that this scene is going to be the pre-chorus, chorus, and Shawn's verse.

So they started playing the music and you lip synced the words to both elf he pre-chorus and you both did that for the chorus. Now it was just Shawn's turn to take over and you turned to face the wall and put your hands on the wall as if you were trying to reach out to him through the wall. In the background there's a display of hate comments and news articles about the two of you, like some of just Shawn on his side of the screen and some of just you on your side of the screen.

Shawn was lip syncing the words and he looked over to the white cloth display with the hateful comments on his side of the screen and made it look like he was hurt but then the turntable started slowly spinning so that he could see the comments and articles about me and vice versa.

Hannah told us to face the screen and walk to the end of the turn table as if we were reading what people said about each other and then try to find some way to comfort the other person. We both turned to the wall and put our hands on it and I laid my hard on the wall like I was sad for Shawn and he did the same on his side. We went through the pre-chorus and chorus again and Hannah called cut, and the music stopped and we walked off the turntable and behind the screen to watch what we filmed.

It looked so good and I was very happy with how it turned out. I looked over to Shawn and he was smiling and he seemed really proud of it as well. We didn't have to re-film that scene or do another take because it was perfect the first time. So Hannah has us go the next film sight. It was a beautiful mansion/house and it was filled with people as if it were a party.

She asked Shawn to go in before you and just relax and sit on a couch and just wait for you to enter and then wait a few more minutes to notice something's wrong and that you didn't want to be there. The music begins playing again and it's the intro coming in as you just arrived at the party and walked up the stairs and into the house. You walked around with a weary look on your face like you weren't really enjoying yourself and giving people fake smiles while saying hi to them, you began lip syncing to the first verse.

Shawn gets up after watching you and he walked you out of the building and to your car and he helped you into the car and Hannah called cut again. This time it was going to be you and Shawn driving to a nearby diner to get food and milkshakes like it's a date. So you got back in the car after they put a camera in the car and began your way to the diner and he helps you out of the car while the music was playing.

After the diner scene you went back to the warehouse and stood in the turntable platform again but it was only you this time and you lip synced the bridge while acting super sassy with neck rolls and poured lips. You loved this and then Shawn joined you for the last round of pre-chorus and outro. With the outro Shawn walked around the wall to your side and made you smile a genuine smile as well as himself and then you both hugged each other tight until Hannah called cut for a last time.

You and Shawn made your way over to the camera to watch all the footage caught and when it finished you and Shawn both cheered along with everyone else. It was time for everyone to leave and edit the video and do there own little things. The video was officially wrapped and you were getting ready to leave and Shawn was doing the same.

"Hey Shawn would you want to hang out at my place? If you're not already busy I mean." You ask him nervously hoping he accepts your offer.

"Yeah that sound like a plan, I wasn't busy at all I came out to film the video and just relax for a few days and the head back for a while." He says and you smile at him.

"Ok well I know you're driving separately so I'll just send you my address and you can gps your way there. I'm gonna head out but I'll see you there ok." You say to him and he nods his head.

"Yeah ok cool drive safe Leigh I'll see you soon." He says and hugs you before you head over to your car and drive off to your house.

After about an hour because of traffic you made it home and you let your dogs outside in your back yard so they can do their business and get their zoomies out, then you let them in when they were done and fed them because it was around dinner time anyways.

After a few minutes you heard the doorbell ring and you knew it was Shawn. You went and opened the door and we're greeted with a very smiley Shawn. You told him to come in and make himself at home, and once he was in the door the dogs came running towards the both of you. You closed the front door and stood in front of Shawn as if to shield him from your hyper dogs because you knew he was allergic to them.

"I'm sorry they just really love people and they're always hyper, I can put them in my room for the time being if you want me to?" You ask him

"No it's ok they don't have to be put up I just can't pet them or be too close to them." He says and you nod and smile at him.

"Ok, we'll are you hungry or thirty I have some sodas and water, and we could order something if your hungry at all." You tell him and he smiles at how thoughtful you are.

"Yeah I'm kinda hungry and I'll take a water." He says and you go and get him his water and one for yourself as well and grab the take out menu's.

"Ok so I have a couple take out menus if you want to look at them and pick something and then I'll order it." You tell him and hand him the different menus.

Shawn looks over the different menus and finally decides on just getting a two pizzas. I ordered the pizza he wanted and the one I liked. After that I put one of the Harry Potter movies on because I know that we both really like them and we waited for the food to arrive.

You both talked about the movie and the details that caught your eyes the most and it was nice to just talk to him and be in his presence.

The pizzas arrived and you paid the pizza guy and took your pizzas inside and into the kitchen. You grabbed two plate from your cub board and placed two slices of Shawns pizza on one plate and two of your pizza in your plate. You picked up the plates and walked into the living room and handed Shawn his plate of food.

You both enjoyed your food and the movie and once you were done eating and the movie was over Shawn was getting ready to leave but you stopped him and asked if he would rather stay here in a guest room rather than pay for a hotel room. He accepted and went out to get his bags and you showed him his room and where everything was. You don't know why you asked you guess it's because you didn't want to be alone tonight. You both went to your room and fell asleep with smiles on your face.

The next morning you got up and got dressed and then went downstairs and made breakfast for both yourself and Shawn. Shawn woke up not too long after you and made his way downstairs and watched you as you made breakfast and talked about the video and the release date and how excited he was. After breakfast Shawn went upstairs and got dressed and packed up his things and came back down and hugged you goodbye and thanked you for letting him stay.

December 5, 2018

Today is the release day of your shared single with Shawn. You were so excited about everyone seeing the fans reaction to the video and the song itself. You were going to drop the song at 12:00PM and you were going to go live on Instagram with Shawn and answer a few questions at 11:00AM leading up to the song drop.

You had an hour to get presentable because you'll be going live on Instagram soon and you wanted to look somewhat pretty for the fans both yours and Shawn's. You did your make up and put on a cute outfit and when you were done you texted Shawn to watch for when you go live and to go on your live and hit the request to join live button when it pops up on his screen.

It was now time to start the live so you opened Instagram and clicked on your story and started the live. After a few seconds you saw Shawn's name in the comments pop up and you smiled.

"Hi everyone, give me just a minute to figure out how to add Shawn in and then we'll both start answering questions ok." You say to your screen and reading some of the comments coming in.

Shawn has just sent in his request to join and you accepted it as soon as you saw it and then the screen spilt in half and you see Shawns profile and face pop up on the other half of the screen.

"Hey Shawn, how've you been?" You ask him getting more excited.

"I'm doing very well how about yourself Leigh?" He asks you.

"I'm doing very well, ok so let's just get right into it. So out single Fake Smile is dropping in an hour and we're here to answer any questions you all have about it so ask away my babies." You say and see the comments explode with questions.

@rose_mendes8: How much fun was it to write, and record the song with Shawn?

"Hi Rose I love you girl, and it was so much fun writing and record the song with Shawn. I got to really see his song writing process and really be myself in doing the same. It was fun to get in the booth we laid down vocals and were just goofing off between takes it was amazing. I feel like Shawn is now one of my best friends and I'm so honored to have him on this song and I couldn't have asked for a better person to feature on it." You answered Rose's question.

"Yeah it was incredibly fun and I had the best time getting to know Atleigh and how she writes and yeah we did good off a bit but how can you not. It broke the ice and awkwardness and we got comfortable with being around each other constantly for a week." Shawn speaks up about how he felt.

@fallinallinlou: What was your favorite part of filming the music video?

"Ooooo Lou hi love, my favorite part was probably the third scene in the whole video. It was the first thing we filmed and it's such a special scene. You'll all understand when you watch the video at 12. Shawn what was your favorite moment from filming?" You answered the question and asked Shawn the same question.

"Just before we started filming when I scared the crap out of you and you freaked out on me." Shawn says and you started laughing.

"Yeah I bet it was, well it certainly wasn't mine so let's just leave it at that." You say and he laughs at you.

"Shawn you pick one or two that you like yeah?" You ask him and he says ok.

"Well that all depends on if we both have mutual feeling for each other so I'm not too sure." Shawn answers the question.

"Oh my god Lay I'm going to kill you, I love you but I'm going to kill you. But yeah what Shawn said." You say making Shawn laugh at you.

"For some reason my friends are hijacking this q&a and trying to either embarrass me or just support me, but either way I love them and I wouldn't be here with out their love and support so I love you my babies" you say and then blow the camera a kiss.

@p.tsoncheva: Was there any dancing in the video? If not would you have added dancing?

"No there wasn't any dancing I can't dance to save my life, but we all know that Leigh can dance and very well." Shawn says to the camera and answered the question.

"And that's exactly why I didn't add or want to add dancing to the video, but I will assure you that's it's cute and enjoyable and all my other videos will have dancing Lina, love you beautiful." You answer after Shawn.

@olaszpecht: I'm so excited to hear the song don't get me wrong, but when are we gonna hang out? I haven't seen you in forever.

"Ok Ola I adore you and we'll hang out very soon I swear. I'm just busy releasing stuff and then once I get a break all of us will hang out." You answered Ola's question and giggled.

"You're friends seem to really miss you, you need to take a break soon and hang out with them they'll appreciate it. Plus it'll be good for you to just relax because you've been so busy lately." Shawn says to you and you smile at him being thoughtful.

"Yeah I will, I just have to get this release done and then I have another single release about a week and a half after this one and then I'll be free for a while." You say and people

start freaking out in the comments.

"Yeah surprise everyone you're getting another single very soon, you're welcome." You say I'm happy tone.

@toronshawn: When can we see the Album cover/art?

"You can see the album cover in a few minutes Tania, because it's about to drop. I hope you and everyone else like the cover, the song, and the video. We worked so hard on this song and it's so special to both of us." You say and smile at the screen.

"I totally agree with Leigh, we worked so hard and we hope you love it as much as we do. The album cover is so beautiful and I enjoyed doing the photo shoot for the cover." Shawn says very smiley.

"Yeah ok so with all of that said, thank you for your questions but we've got to go and upload the song and video in a few minutes. Thank you for joining us on here we love you all so much." You say and blow a final kiss.

"Yes thank you all so much, this has been such an amazing experience and one I certainly will never forget and hopefully we can collab on another song sometime later in the future. I love you guys so much enjoy the song." Shawn says and also blows a few kisses to the screen before you end the live.

Imagine is a cute song obviously about imagining a world where you can be happy with the guy you currently have a crush on (Shawn, but he doesn't quite know yet). It was fun to write and record and it's just super cute and fun and the fans begin to take to it very nicely.

This song meant a lot to you and you hope that the fans will love it half as much as you do. It's so important to you that the fans like the songs you put out for them because if they didn't then why do it in the first place. Yeah you write songs that are more personal and with such raw emotion so that your fans can feel like they know you truly through your music, and that's honestly the best part.
