#I feel insane its fine though #bc he he does! he does! he's a really good partner!#we talk about lwj being so devoted and loving and selfless but like. he needs to be. he really does #if he was any less intense about wwx then everything would fall apart #he needs to be someone who like. makes it a good ending even after everything #someone whose loves makes it worthwhile #he has to match wwx for intensity and I think it works that he's so focused on wwx only #bc wwx himself needs it all so desperately #you know I've often thought that lwj was sort of a self-insert or reader insert #not in that he acts like a generic everyman would act but he does things that the audience is glad to see because it's clearly so needed #actually in a lot of ways wwx is the reader insert and lwj is the flawless love interest #I don't like those readings but there's def people who do read it like that #but the fact that lwj provides that support that's so clearly needed out of selflessness and love is I think why so many fans like him #like. wwx has had so much awful shit happen to him #if nothing else it's nice to see him taken care of #and ofc there's the actual romance which is really good too and their chemistry and relationship. depending on the version #cql txp
