taehyung sure does hang out with a lot of homophobes - bogum, lee jungjae, plus his misogynist friend seojoon. no backlash whatsoever and he'll still be a queer king to taekookers.

Moving on to the actual ask, when you add them all together, a pattern emerges. Does this automatically mean Tae is exactly like them? No, he hasn't made a homophobic remark or said something blatantly misogynistic, apart from having some traditional views on marriage and gender roles and it's not unusual to have friends with different views (I'm trying really hard here to be as objective as possible, I'm not sure I'm succeeding). I also had no idea about Lee Jungjae until this morning, but it doesn't look good. Apparently he is homophobic without mincing his words. Park Seojoon with his views on women is just so off putting, but I stopped being surprised about men having patriarchal views, but what did surprise me was him saying it out in the open while knowing the majority of his fans are women. And I've mentioned Bogum in the past, I think the situation is very clear there, at least from my point of view. These are just 3 people. There may be others, similar, but also friends and acquitances who do not fit such criteria. We are complex people after all.

If you look at all the BTS members, Tae is the one with a very public circle of acquitances and he's not keeping himself private in that regard. Which, in essence, it's not a critique. Of course he can hangout, go to events and then have it on IG, posted by him or others. Truly, this is absolutely normal. Tae is a celebrity and he's achieving social capital through making contacts and adding people to his circle or him entering other circles in a public way. Ok, you can say "he's in the biggest boyband in the world, why would he need that?". I would say that just being famous is not enough. It opens some doors, but knowing the right people, it opens other, more inner circle doors. So, yeah, I see him as that type of social butterfly. As to the actual type of company he keeps, I think everyone can reach their own conclusion. If it has any influence on him or it might just show he has similar views, it has yet to become obvious.
