we've talked about the scenarios where angela would lose her composure at seeing amanda (s&b outfit and billion dollar gf dress as examples) in the rpf world we've collectively built, but now i wanna know what specific scenarios about angela amanda would completely lose her cool/have a reaction from? (raspy voice like in the tapple video? seeing angela's tattoo? could be anything!)

Oh, fucking love this question, thank you for it. Lets see.

2 things: 1 Eternal disclaimer about this all being in RPF universe/my own hc's about characterization I've decided on, not the actual people. And 2 This is not an exhaustive list of the ways I think this could go/the only ways these can work, Im just tossing out fun options that come to mind that I find internally consistent.

Okay logistically, anything to make Amanda uncharacteristically lose her shit over Angela has to be at least slightly uncommon/unexpected. So as much as I'd like to say something like "Angela in a tank top /sleeveless shirt", stuff that happens regularly needs to have an extra edge to it to explain Amanda losing it this time and not the rest of the time. Or at least losing it more.

So that said:

- Raspy voice is so fucking fun, yes please. So much potential...

One possible route is Angela loses her voice semi-regularly (unfortunately) due to starkid and moon goon and also just regular yelling, and maybe Amanda thinks she's used to it, (and normally tries to offer her honey or checks to make sure she's fine). But she's used to Angela's being voice completely gone, and one day her voice is more raspy/rough instead of being gone gone, and Amanda's normal affectionate concern is completely bowled over by her 😳😳😳 reaction to it, because oh fuck. OR, Amanda is used to the raspy voice (so she thinks), but Angela makes a sex joke or a flirty joke In That Voice and Amanda is SLAMMED by the thought of the same comments/voice in a VERY different context and Completely Ceases To Function. Bonus if its on camera/during a shoot of some kind so Angela notices the initial reaction and plays it up for the bit and Amanda is just. Not volleying it back properly. Or is volleying it back with WAY too much energy and everyone else is in the room like. 😶👀. The tapple video... the tapple video with all tge sex jokes and angela's voice being gone could be a VERY fun starting point for a fic.

- Once again falling back to the thing I've been gleefully chattering about. Amanda being flustered by Angela being the one to initiate/flirt. Angela being really forward/aggressive with flirtation, or bring Very assertive with her flirting, or just. Commanding. I think Angela flirting aggressively when she's all decked out in some ridiculous costume or putting on a goofy voice or leaning into the absurdity is something Amanda is used to/can handle. But, lets say, Angela not in a completely ridiculous character, or Angela playing a character thats only a mildly exaggerated version of herself, and being very forward/flirtatious/assertive towards Amanda. And for Amanda its suddenly like Oh fuck oh god oh shit . Because it doesn't feel like a ridiculous character like Angelo or some mustachio'ed old man being horny, it feels like Angela leaning in and oozing confidence and dropping petnames and it should NOT be working on her but it VERY MUCH IS. So much potential. Sooo fucking funny.

- Angela dressing up hot. I haven't sorted out the most fun consistent headcanon I want for this but IF we were to lean into Angela not dressing up as often I think its. So fun. To have the alternate dynamic of Angela dresses up hot for an event (Shourtney engagement party?) and Amanda sees her and nearly fucking swallows her tongue and her self control falls out of a fucking window. I know that's the go-to Angela flustered by Amanda dynamic but I think it could be fun the other way too. 👀

- This might be. me. lmfao. shining through but if we went the tattoo route we could also go an Arms™ route.... tank top Angela.... I'd have to think about it, to explain why it ESPECIALLY gets to Amanda, and maybe the tattoo is why.

- If we want to lean into the more explicitly spicy options and kind of mirror the S&B Angela flustered headcanon..... Angela shows up wearing something like a choker or something and Amanda. finds herself thinking. Many things. Many many things.

- This idea has JUST come to me so I havent thought through the logistics of it yet but. Angela showing up with a hickey or something and Amanda should be professional and normal about it but. But. But. (this could be very funny, very horny, or angsty! Or all three!)

The Amangela Smosh Mouth was soooo good. Like their chemistry is actually top tier. I love how well they bounce off of each other. There just isn't a moment of silence. Like Amangela thrives in so many ways. It's not just physical affection, which they do so naturally. It's also just genuine time spent together. It's the way they can spend 50% of the podcast episode talking about true crime, and discover more about why they love it so much through the conversation. It's the way one of them can tell a story about their family and it's not just a thing of "we talked about this before" but also "I'm learning more about you through the little things." This is why I love Amangela and their friendship so much. Everytime it's just so genuine.

Vic’s visit to the Smosh office was short, but it showed them a lot more about the cast and crew than they ever expected to learn.

Like, how Erin orders coffee up to three times a day, and how Tommy spends multiple hours in one of the bathrooms. Or how Courtney and Shayne are the most professional and yet affectionate couple they've ever seen work together.

But there was something that went unspoken within the office: Amanda and Angela.

Sure, Vic had worked with both of them in the past, but the chemistry between the two in the office was unmistakable. Vic found themselves constantly looking around subtly in a ‘Is anyone else seeing this?’ kind of way whenever the duo was in the same room together.

Attached at the hip was an understatement. If they were beside each other, their bodies were always touching. Whether it was an arm around a shoulder or a waist, or hands intertwined, their skin somehow made contact. And if they weren't beside each other… well, heart eyes (and ‘fuck me’ eyes, if Vic's being honest) were frequently exchanged. Vic knew they worked well together on screen, but this was something else entirely.

When it came time to film the Try Not to Laugh episode, Vic watched as the pair steeled themselves for the cameras; like they put on masks for the audience. But throughout the video, the chemistry only ramped back up.

Vic could swear Angela was ready to pounce at them behind the partition after they kissed Amanda for the bit. It was a side of Angela they had never seen before—possessive, and jealous. The animosity cleared up quickly when they moved onto new bits, but it left Vic curious about the dynamic between Angela and Amanda.

They were so open about being so into each other, so surely everyone already knew?

No, no. It wasn't their place to speculate.

When the day was over and they finished shooting everything Vic was scheduled for, they said their goodbyes and started packing up their things to leave. 

In the cafeteria, Amanda approached Vic with Angela trailing behind her.

“Hey, Vic! What are you doing tonight? Would you be up for a home-cooked dinner?”

Amanda’s question threw them off. Not that it was unwelcome—in fact it was flattering—but Vic considered themselves closer with Angela than Amanda. 

“Oh, gosh, no. I wouldn’t want to intrude. It’s really kind of you to offer, though,” Vic said, an appreciative smile on their face.

“Please, you wouldn’t be intruding. Angela talks about you so much.” Amanda playfully rolled her eyes and glanced back at Angela having a conversation with a few cast members. “Plus, we’ve been meaning to have people over to our new place, and we both love cooking.”

Vic felt time stop. 

We… we?

OH.

They tried their best to mask their surprise when they came to the conclusion that Amanda was inviting them over to her apartment with Angela. As in, they live together.

“Well… I mean… why not!” Vic answered enthusiastically, their demeanor mirroring Amanda’s own excitement.

Vic’s surprise slowly turned into acceptance as they recalled all of the interactions they witnessed at the office that day; the touching, the flirtatious behaviour, the closeness—it all made sense now. Not to mention the subtle positive changes Vic had noticed in Angela’s mood over the past few months. The realization made Vic feel giddy.

Amanda beamed at Vic’s response, and Vic watched as Angela approached her from behind and proudly put an arm around Amanda’s waist. 

Angela asked what they were talking about and all Vic could do was smile knowingly at the couple.

The amangela crumbs we got in today's games video have me feeling a kinda way. Angela was essentially the first person to pick up just how bummed Amanda was after the Bad advice round. And, of course that could be down to Angela also feeling a similar way when she struggles at games, and being extra aware of that. But! just from her actions alone she could tell that Amanda was genuinely feeling kinda bad about her performance in the game.

Amanda says "I think I'm really bad at this game, Even though I really want to be good at it" and Angela is looking at her slightly concerned, and is the first person to say it's okay (she's super gentle with it too oml my heart)- but really quickly realises that Amanda is SUPER bummed and asks if she's about to cry. If this was anyone else she maybe would have asked in a joking way but she looks genuinely concerned

and then she only laughs when Amanda responds, and plays it off that she's alright.

I'm absolutely freaking delusional, I don't even ship them (or anyone for that matter, If i mention ships i'm usually referring to the dynamic unless i explicitly mention i ship it) , I just really love their friendship and what they have. Fic writers go wild with this idk.

adjusting to a fandom with a whole different world of shipping is amazing, but a very big shift.

"Okay I am starting the car," Angela, all but announced the moment the call connected.

"Thank you for the play by play Angela," Amanda teased. "I really needed it."

"Well, I don't know what else to say," she uttered. Shuffling was heard over the speaker, a light beeping noise coming from Angela's car as she presumably reversed out of her driveway. "What are you up to, anyway? It's early."

"I'm doing my hair. I finished getting dressed and my makeup earlier." Amanda said, her phone set down on the sink counter as she brushed through her long hair a final time.

"What the?" Angela said. "You're already ready? Doesn't your thing start at like 9?"

"Yeah, but it's fine. Tommy and I will probably arrive early," Amanda shrugged. She gathered up her stuff, checking through her bag a final time. "I'm used to waking up early for this, so might as well."

"I think you're just insane," Angela commented. "I understand getting ready early, but you know you can just stay behind in your hotel and watch TV."

"It feels awkward to do when I have filming today," Amanda said, her phone to her ear and off speaker as she made her way to the elevator. "I like leaving stuff like that for after work."

There was a brief pause before Angela spoke. "Oh, I get that. I feel like it's easier to start doing stuff like that in your downtime once you have a better work and personal life balance."

"True," Amanda commented. "I'll be better at it once I'm back in California."

"Sometimes I forget you do still live there," Angela admitted. "Like we started talking again and then suddenly you're in Canada."

Amanda texted Tommy as another person entered the elevator, she shuffled deeper into the corner, her voice softer as she spoke. "Well I'm bound to be back there within July," she paused. "Hopefully."

"Tell your work they suck at scheduling," Angela teased.

"Trust me, they know."

"How's filming nowadays?" Angela asked.

Amanda couldn't stop herself from sighing. "It's fine all things considered." She ended up leaving it at that, waiting for Angela to either comment or change the topic.

"Jesus Christ," Angela mumbled, her voice still clearly heard despite that not being her intention. "There's way too many cars here."

"You're driving in LA, Ange. That's a given." Amanda replied, as she navigated her way through a busy hotel lobby. She initially planned on waiting in one of the chairs but based on the multiple people checking in and out, she decided to cut her losses.

There was another pause, a brief car honk heard in the background. "Are you outside already?" Angela asked. "You really want to get there early."

"Oh, quiet," Amanda rolled her eyes. "What are you up to nowadays?"

"Well, you know, filming for the second short film and the improv group. The usual," Angela said. "I am getting closer to the people in the improv group though, so I'm happy for that."

"I'm glad, it's always good to make friends or at least colleagues in stuff like that."

As minutes passed by Amanda waited for Tommy to join her out in the front. The uber already ordered for the two five minutes ago. Throughout the call Angela ended up rambling about this one improv scene she absolutely loved doing. As Amanda listened, the corners of her mouth twitched upwards into an uncontrollable smile. She sucked her lips into her teeth, simply enjoying the moment.

There was just something about listening to Angela ramble about something she loved that was comforting. Her glances at the road waiting for the Uber to arrive becoming less frequent. As she let herself be lulled into a story about an admittedly funny scene, she failed to notice the door opening and the approaching footsteps.

"Who has you smiling at your phone like that?" Amanda heard Tommy's teasing voice, a hand on her shoulder bringing her back to the present.

"Oh my god!" Amanda practically yelped, unintentionally interrupting Angela. She turned towards Tommy immediately. "I did not see you coming."

Tommy chuckled. "Yeah," he said. "I can see that."

Angela's voice is quietly heard over the phone. Amanda isn't even sure if Tommy can hear her. "Amanda? You good? Mandy?"

"So," Tommy said, he pointed to her phone. "A friend? Boyfriend? Hookup?"

"The first one," Amanda said, just about to reply to Angela.

"You'll be busy soon. I'm going to be hanging up now." Another quiet shuffle is heard. "Good luck in filming."

Angela left the call, Amanda being left by herself before she clicked off. "Well, I was going to introduce you two, but guess not." She checked the time, failing to realize how much time had passed. "Then again she does have to get to filming soon.”

chanse actually begged peter to room with him so angela would have to room with amanda that's the tea <3

honestly they just had a good ass night. like they probably had a lil dance party and got snacks from the vending machine and did their nails and put on face masks

as a little bonus, in my mind they are always an established relationship KSNDKNFKN in any fic i write assume koah is already happening in the background. in this fic they pushed the beds together. to me. and the hotel staff comes in and is like '???' DNFEKNKNWS honestly they and amangela could have swapped rooms and the whole fic wouldn't have happened

if they had gotten the king bed: in a non-established-relationship-universe, honestly i see keith Insisting they don't share the bed. maybe rock-paper-scissors or noah's just like 'whatever' and then sleeps on the floor. it'd be more about how they spend the whole weekend bickering only to get together at the end of it bc noah shuts keith tf up by kissing him.

shayne & damien:

honestly them sharing a room was relatively chill. like they both brought books to read and video games to play.

they probably had one of those late-night talks where they got way too deep for 1 in the morning and did not speak of it again

if they had gotten the king bed: they would have just agreed to share it even though shayne did offer to sleep on the floor. very similar to amangela's except they get together after three nights of bed-sharing bc they're oblivious and dumb <333

kimmy & courtney:

they had a GREAT time sharing a room!! once again just chatting the night away. very 'do you think cats have feelings' 'courtney its 3 am. but yeah.' probably also got invited to arasha & olivia's girl night too

they rented grease and bend it like beckham and watched them back-to-back <333

if they had gotten the king bed: they share the bed without complaint!! i think courtney and kimmy are both like. well aware they've caught feelings and not as afraid of admitting it bc they're not as afraid of losing the friendship. so i think they get together before they even get in the bed LKNFNNLFN like they're just chilling and chatting so so far they are winning the bed-sharing race

for the most part i think they were also just chilling. like they just had a good time hanging out,

they seem like balcony kind of guys to me. like they were sitting out on their balcony and chatting for hours and all of a sudden it was like oh wow we've been out here for like three hours maybe it's time to sleep! and they were def Exhausted the next day NDFNLNKF

if they had gotten the king bed: oh i think they would have been SO awkward. like! oh haha! well that's weird! definitely tried to get their room changed as much as they could. ian for Sure considered sleeping on erin's couch. think they flipped a coin to see who would sleep on the floor (they both volunteered btw) and ian loses so he sleeps on the floor and they get all settled and turn the lights off and after a minute anthony's like. hey man. just get in the bed.

spencer & tommy:

oh the guys <3 the boys <3 okay so. i think they spent a lot of time hanging with the squad and like through That they talk to each other a lot. like so many inside jokes come out of this weekend. but i think back in the hotel room it's like. comfortable silence. the performative part of the day is Over this, as always, just for them.

"hey spencer what do you think the most vile insane horror movie we can rent tonight" "idk let's find out" cue them falling asleep on each other's shoulders watching the wildest movie you can think of

if they had gotten the king bed: this was literally so close to being a fic for them that i've thought about this so much. anyway, spencer's immediate panic sets in. he would actually go to the lengths of like getting another rooming situation like. let's imagine shaymien Also has a couch, that's where he's staying. and tommy's like. a little uncomfy about it but he's like 'what that's dumb??? lets just share the bed you're gonna hurt yourself' so spencer's like uh. okay. fine. and much like shaymien i don't think they get together until after three nights of this. maybe even After they get home when spencer's in his own bed and he's like. hm. maybe i liked sleeping w tommy a little bit.

happy friday, i got a burst of motivation and sped-wrote a small, fluffy amangela scene about the "seals in another life" comment from the games livestream and Amanda's "... yeah. Yeah." after the comment. So!

Written pretty quick in one go, so, yknow. Adjust expectations accordingly.

As always: RPF with F as in fiction. Not at all meant to speculate on the real people who I don't know.

Platonic, short, fluffy.

Amanda is the one to bring it up the next day, lounging on the couch in the break room, checking her emails. Angela is squished up against her shoulder, idly scrolling through TikToks, when Amanda clears her throat. "So."

Angela pauses her scrolling, adjusting her position so she can look up at Amanda's face from where she's wedged against her side. There's a hint of amusement in Amanda's tone, that could either be very good or very bad.

"You and me as seals, in a different life, huh?" Amanda looks over her shoulder at Angela, grinning. Angela, mid adjustment,  rolls her eyes, flopping back down to prop her head up on Amanda's shoulder. "Shut the fuck up." She groans. "You know what I meant. It's like. You and me. In the sun on some rocks or snow. Lying around. Barking at each other while rolling around. Swimming together."

Amanda hums quietly. "Yeah." She says thoughtfully. "Hell yeah. We could share fish, or like. Go murder penguins together."

"...Okay, morbid."

"What? They do that. I saw it in a documentary."

"On People.com?"

"Okay, well, obviously PEOPLE dot com is not going to have documentaries about SEALS, ya silly goose." Amanda drops her voice into a funny accent for the last few words, and Angela giggles, despite herself. The room quiets for a bit, as Angela resumes scrolling on her phone.

"I think it'd be nice." Amanda breaks the silence again, and Angela adjusts her position again so she can look at Amanda's face. Amanda looks thoughtful, but when her gaze catches Angela's, its full of affection. "You're so right. You and me. Seals in a different life. Hanging out."

Angela beams up at her, warmth blooming in her chest. "Thank you. Exactly. ....even if you think I'd be a walrus."

"You'd have a moustache! It would be perfect!"

"You're the one that LOVES moustaches."

"You like them too! Don't lie to me."

"Okay then that means we would BOTH be walruses."

"Wait I want to be a hot seal though."

This gets a full laugh out of Angela. "You want to be a HOT seal?”

“Well, I don’t want to be an UGLY seal.”

"Oh yeah, can't have our alternate universe seal selves be ugly, can you imagine."

"Yeah, our seal selves need to be HOT. All the other seals should be tripping over themselves to catch our eye at the seal bar." Amanda slips further and further into a goofy voice as she speaks, Angela now giggling uncontrollably.  

"Then we can go on dates with them, have a terrible time, and debrief with each other after like "UGH, can you BELIEVE how disappointing that was?" and we can watch Seal Dateline and paint each others nails." Amanda pauses. "...Flippers."

“Good to know you have us visualized as teen girl seals.” 

“You were thinking of us like old man seals, weren’t you. Floating around in the water. Complaining about our wives. Eating fish.”

“And hanging out in the sun. Swimming. And just barking away with each other.”

“...”

“Sounds good, right?”

“...Okay, fine, we can both be walruses.”

“THANK you. That's fine.” Angela drops her attention back to her phone, relaxing back into Amanda’s side and propping her head back on her shoulder. “Told you. We were seals together in another life.”

Amanda laughs, dropping her head to the side to rest on top of Angela’s. “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” There’s a warm smile in her voice, as she picks back up her phone as well, humming once before admitting.

“Sounds pretty nice.”

"....I'd be the hotter walrus, though."

"Okay, LISTEN-"

top 3 smosh pairings?

ooooh fun ask. top 3 is cruel, im a vvvv indecisive person. I know this is kind of cheating but I think it. Does depend on different circumstances, rpf non rpf, arguably shippy vs just best chemistry as a whole..... for my sanity im keeping it to groups of 2. Its definitely more than 3 though. sorry.

anyway Amangela is on there. we all know that, thats fine. It slaps in all forms- platonic, non platonic shippy, in the various RPF universes i have constructed in my head, IRL actual friendship and affection. They're finding each other in every universe and Im excited about all of the universes.

in terms of dynamics i love seeing in videos, Shayne and Amanda honestly make my fucking day. I think ever since the podcast they're SUCH good friends, its so fun to see. :] They give each other so much shit CONSTANTLY and end up spending so much effort specifically trying to get the other person to laugh (and usually succeeding) and its v fun for me to see the way they reference things they tell each other outside of videos and how they clearly talk about their hobbies and interests to each other. For RPF Im not as sure how I'd write it but I see the Potential.

Other than that, hmmm. I get rlly excited with Courtmanda in videos bc I think the way they interact is just so. 👌 Both such affectionate, sincere people who also have SUCH commitment to the bit. They like each other a ton! Theyre both so actively supportive of each other!! Its just a very sweet and safe dynamic. Also there are so many fun possibilities in the RPF universe I love 2 think about for these two.

Runner ups I MUST mention:

Changela bc how can you not. Changela are clearly SUCH good friends and know each other so well and it shines through in so many ways. Im a fucking sucker for a strong, genuine friendship. The combo of constant roasting, knowing each other so well, and also looking out for each other. PLUS their years of doing improv together and their love of theatre? Wonderful.

Courtrasha dynamic is so satisfying for me to watch. I think they listen to each other really well, and Arasha's sense of humor especially REALLY shines when someone gives it the beats it needs and Courtney does it. Also the way they both commit to the bit (of flirting with each other) is such a specific energy. Obsessed.

Also. Chamanda has been So Fucking Fun recently. The storyline of Chanse being in love with Amanda keeps growing and they are clearly having a blast with it and So Am I. 👌👌👌👌

Anyway while Im here I love Shangela too. Other than how they break each other completely, Angela keeps making book references directly @ Shayne its so funny to me. Also Courtgela? SO goddamn sweet they like each other so much. Should probably be higher on this list actually I just cant describe it as effectively.
