Oh yeah btw I am super hyped for Dragon Age the Veilguard, just to be clear! The name change doesn't bother me at all. I'm really just happy we are getting DA4 after waiting a decade. My humble hopes are for a really good story, some new delicious LORE and closure with Solas (for low approval, high approval, AND romance).
No bad vibes here, my dudes! :D

Hi Archer my friend, hope you're doing alright :)
As I'm still stewing on the last BB episode and haven't really collected all my thoughts on it yet (might take a while, because DAMN....) I thought I'd talk about "Not Me" instead since that's somehow easier, especially since the last episode filled more like a "filler" to me.
Honestly apart from the first few scenes with Sean's nightmare and later Yok being an adorable lovesick puppy the thing that has me most excited was the preview for the next episode. Still, there are some things that have been running around my head after episode 4, so I thought I'd just leave them on your doorstep. You're welcome :D
Fair warning - those will all be mostly disjointed ramblings and speculation since I have a lot of conflicting feelings after the last episode.
Not even starting with the "girlfriend" thing since that was just.... no. NO. MONUMENTALLY stupid, White! REALLY BAD idea. I just fast forwarded that whole sequence since it was just excruciating. Stop being an idiot, White!
The more I learn about Black the less I like him. He seems to have been a first grade asshole, and while there might be a lot of things to justify behaving like that, you do NOT throw your teammates to the wolves. EVER! I'm reserving further judgement on Black until we learn more, but to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if there is more to him being beaten up than we assume. I keep thinking "what if he was doing his own thing on the side apart from the group and that got him into trouble"? Would Black go as far to betray his team? At this point I unfortunately wouldn't rule out the possibility.
As for Tod being the token bad guy or at least one of them.... might almost be a bit too obvious so he might be a red herring. Though there is something to him that gives me a deeply uncomfortable feeling, and White should definitely not trust him.
I don't think Gram betrayed Black - at least I hope he didn't. I like him. Simple as that.
From the preview of the next ep my curiosity about Gumpa's background grew another notch. There is just something about him, about his knowledge and his bearing.... we know almost nothing about him but I wouldn't be surprised if he has some military background or former cop or something...
As for Sean and White - I really like their dynamic and it's refreshing that it doesn't follow the usual cookie-cutter pattern of BL or romance. It somehow builds it up to become something more meaningful and deeper, and I think it works really well for OffGun since they don't have the sensual chemistry that some other acting pairs do. Their connection is more emotional and cerebral almost, so this is a very good fit.
Ok, I'll let you sort through that basket full of rubble. Maybe you'll find a morsel you like - in that case feel free to keep it and throw out the rest ;)
Cheeers,
Niku
hello, niku!! <3 thank you so much, hope ur doing well too!
i agree that this episode of not me was pretty filler, and though i like the series, i feel like the pacing of it, in general, is a bit off. what white did with eugene,,, fuck's sake my guy, please THINK for once in your life. as for black, i think he is a dickhead but i don't think he is a traitor. his personality is off, but i think his values aren't, and knowing how particularly passionate gram is about justice, i don't think he would care so much about someone who could do something like that. i agree that todd is almost too obvious, but that's perhaps because he's just a pawn in the game. at the same time, there is one possible theory that absolves him and that's him potentially being the person black got "insider" info from and the reason why todd is holding back from revealing what he really does to white for now or perhaps even playing up his rich boy persona is because he doesn't trust white, as he is also a rich boy who's only started questioning his privilege like five days ago. regardless of todd's position, though, gram is definitely not the person who is responsible for what happened to black. anyone but gram. i am also very 👀 at gumpa, because so far he is definitely the most mysterious character. like, what's his deal, you know? he's a bit sus.
