For a few weeks we had looked high and low for the kittens, trying to see if we could find them anywhere. But no such luck. Finally mom had gotten fed up with all of the boxes, and decided to start tossing then away in the trash. But once she got to the one where the cat would always hang around, she looked inside and low and behold. There were kittens. 5 to be exact. 3 black, 2 calico. Me and my sister named all of them after spices since we couldnt agree on regular names. Basil, Cinnamon, pepper, Sage and lastly, General Tosos. Our mother named the last one after some fish brand she loved. We raised them up outside along with the mother cat and got to watch them grow from little blind babies to kittens to slightly older kittens. My mother was dating another person[different one than the one scared of cats] and he wanted some since his beloved cat had died recently. So he took Cinnamon and General T. One by one, the kittens at the other house dissapeared as all cats do when they are old enough, and we moved in with our now stepfather. One day he got angry at general t and tossed him out to be an outside cat. And we havent seen him since.[false. Hes down the road living it up with the cat lady who named him Boat since he purred constantly and so loudly like a rusty motorboat I still see him run across the street sometimes.he likes testing my horrible driving skills]

And alas we have cinnamon left since she was the most laid back one there was out of the two.

Dont worry, i still love you tho 😙 So yeah, like i said i heard this newborn puppy sound which kinda reminds me of a kitten b/c i had more EXP in that division, and by the time i got to my laboring doggo she already expelled the 2nd one, and that one was quite a weak crier and mover like i had to take it in a towel and rub it gently so it could gasp for air and cry the fudge out. And by the time the 3rd one came out i was already a one big panting mess trying to get my wits up b/c apparently even though i had zero EXP in mammals. I dealt mostly with fish, frogs, and insects only, and yeah if you graduated biology even if you're a micro or genetics or mol bio or botany major you're still freakin expected to know a lot about animals. No complaints here but i still have days where i can't handle icky or intense stuff, even more so when they're freakin simultaneous, and seeing my dog give birth in a really gross area of our house, fulla dust and mold and mildew just did me in, like my body still functions but now im on zombie mode. It was challenge to get the pup and puplets out of the area, and b/c of hormonal surges i had to get assistance in getting the entire family to a cleaner birthing den which, i already made but havent finished yet because I WASN'T EXPECTING THEM TO COME OUT YET. Like my doggo was still jumping and glomping me and running around just 2 hours ago and it never occurred to me that she was already doing the weird nesting rituals until a witness just told me later after the pups were all cozy that she was doing the circling thing the night before. I didnt know, and i wasnt informed. X.x Now 2 days and two snaps in my left hand later, im still trying to figure out what my doggo wants, like she kept leaving her pups to walk around but i had to wait up to find out if she needs to heed nature's call or she just wants to stretch, and just a while ago she wanted her den fixed a bit because there was a gaping hole that needs to be secured with grills, which i only understood after 3 hrs of her trying to enter the gaping hole despite the mosquito net over it. Srsly im running out of sleep time, patience, intuition, and sanity, like it was back then when this mom pup was sent here and yours truly had to take care of it b/c apparently i was unwillingly designated as the eww and gross expert, along with my dad. X.x He's gonna have the final say on how to deal with the extra pups in case there is no male heir since we cant keep them all atm and because castration is cheaper and quicker here than spaying. Speaking of, too bad i didnt get to stare much at the puplets when i handled them so i have no idea how many males are in her litter of 5. I go leave that to the vet instead. I honestly cant deal with more doggos if we cant give the others new homes. But srsly tho, im just hoping that they all live OK, i can't stand another loss of a companion animal after our old dog of 12 years died 2 months ago. I cried buckets when i saw him fading away cm by cm (yeah i a metric system user except when measuring hoomin height, idk why). I cried me a river when I found him gone, but still warm and not yet stiff. I was still dealing with the fact that my puppy (who gave birth yesterday) got impregnated the night before that and then i had to put my doggo in a body bag to keep his exoparasites from transferring to the living dog. Srsly it was also an intense and icky situation omg i just realized it now x.x ah great, puplets are crying again... ok, sorry about the word vomit i just needed to let it out.. il get rested and check if my insanity is around the normal levels... again, thanks for any support you might have if you happen to see this post, either by accident or by choice.
