#we hate fnaf lore but at the same time love it

Someone on discord asked me to make a list of who's who on FNaF. Here.

Freddy: Gabriel, assumed to be brown-haired and darker in skin colour

Bonnie: Jeremy, fans say that he’s probably related to bonnie mask, usually assumed to be black-haired with light skin, sometimes wearing glasses

Chica: Susie, the one who lost her dog and is speculated that the dog possesses Mangle, is canonically blonde with curly hair and light skin, seen with a bow in her hair and a pink dress

Foxy: Fritz, usually assumed to be red-haired with neutral skin, sometimes assumed to wear an eye patch as a live child because foxy was his favorite. Some say that foxy bro(foxy mask) possesses foxy but is not generally confirmed and only very few people use that theory in their videos/skits/posts in general.

Golden Freddy: There are definitely multiple spirits possessing this abomination, I personally believe there's more than just C.C. and Cassidy since Andrew is also a good candidate to possess the animatronic alongside the two I already mentioned.

Puppet: The Puppet is confirmed to be Charlie No-Last-Name-Given, daughter of Henry No-Last-Name-Given.

Currently we do not know if the Toy Animatronics are even possessed or not, but Mangle is speculated to be possessed by Susie’s(Chica’s) dog, the one William used to lure her to the employee-only room. According to some theories, Ballon Boy is possessed by more than one spirit. Many say it's the second batch of kids that William death-glared. Many say it's the two Fitzgeralds(Jeremy Fitzgerald and Jeremy Fitzgerald ||), though we do not know and can't confirm.

The phantoms are obviously not possessed, they are only phantoms that appear, that try and stop you. Springtrap, the ring leader of sorts for the phantoms, however, is possessed by the death-glarer William Afton, who got spring locked and produced enough agony to possess the spring bonnie suit.

The nightmares are not possessed even a tiny bit, they are just based off of the four mask bullies. Foxy mask, bonnie mask(who is usually put as being Jeremy’s(Bonnie’s) brother but it is not canonically confirmed), Chica mask, and Freddy mask.

All of them have fanon names that were generally accepted, except Foxy mask. Foxy mask is confirmed to be Michael Afton. But the fanon names are:

Chica mask=Simon

Bonnie mask=Jeremy ||(we will get to that soon)/Kelsey

Freddy mask=Frederick

Bonnie mask is speculated to be Jeremy Fitzgerald || , but i don't believe so, as you see by me including his other fanon name. Bonnie mask is also seen as the strongest because on Crying Child’s birthday he lifts C.C. with one arm, while all the other bullies lift C.C. with two arms.

In SL only Baby is confirmed to be possessed. Baby is Elizabeth Afton, while people say Balora is Mrs. Afton, no first name given. Many theorize that Millie from the books possesses Funtime Freddy, and is out for blood after getting death-glared. But it was never confirmed that she got death-glared so it's not a very likely possibility that she possesses Funtime Freddy.

None of the new animatronics in the FNaF Pizzeria simulator seems to be possessed except for Leftie/Lefty, who is confirmed to be the Puppet. The Puppet is possessed by Charlie No-Last-Name-Given.

In FNaF VR we know that Glitchtrap is somehow related to good ol’ Peepaw Willy. Many say that Glitchtrap is fully William, and that William did that on purpose to escape the hell that Cassidy(?) made for him(UCN). But it's not very convincing.

In Security Breach, people theorize that Freddy is possessed by Michael Afton. I don't think that's very likely to be true but it is a possibility. Gregory is thought to be a robot that has the Crying Child’s soul. That is mainly because in FNaF 4, there is a line of text at the end of the game that says ‘I will put you back together’ and it is directly spoken to the Crying Child. Though it seems impossible, there is a chance that it is true. I personally do not think either of those are true until there is more to prove that they are indeed true.

More things people on discord wanted my opinion on;

1. Is William Afton phone guy?

No, I don't think he is. Though there may be some things we can connect them by, their voices are completely different and phone guy ‘died’ before William ‘died’.

2. Are the Glamrocks possessed by the mask bullies?

We barely have evidence that Michael Afton possesses Glamrock Freddy! How did we get that conclusion?

3. How did Glamrock Bonnie get dismantled?

I believe that Monty was either being controlled by Vanny or Afton or was the first to get put into the aggressive mode that all the Glamrocks(-Freddy) are in while Gregory is in the Pizzaplex.

4. Did the phone guy get death-glared by the animatronics?

Y’know how we respawn after getting killed and repeat the night? I think that happened to phone guy.

5. In which order was the first batch of kids death-glared?

First was Susie(Chica) and we know that for a fact because of a line in UCN where she said ‘I was the first, I have seen everything.’ Then Jeremy is thought to be second, Fritz is thought to be third and then Gabriel. Of course, Charlie died before all of them because she is the Puppet and she is the one that gave them the option of possessing the suits.

6. Who do we play as in FNaF VR?

Vanessa, thought to be Vanny.

7. Is Vanessa Vanny?

All signs point to maybe, maybe not. She might be though. Seems like it but at the same time it doesn't.

Ballora and Eclipse's Relationship - A Ramble

I love the growing friendship between Ballora and Eclipse V4 on EAPS.

Which to me is a funny observation if you go deep lore on it, like an obsessive fan (is me, I'm an obsessive fan)

Wall of text under the cut

If you look deep cut into FNAF, I always liked to consider the Daycare Attendant kind of related to creations like The Puppet and Ballora. Ballora is a marionet, a performer, a doll for the stage. The Puppet a security measure, a caretaker, meant to look after special kids, but failed (Charlie).

The DCA are built like dolls. Marionets with intricate parts, originally meant to be performers for the stage but then repurposed to be caretakers, protectors of children. Like Puppet and Ballora they stand out against the animal themed animatronics that always took center stage.

On EAPS Ballora was introduced as a vapid person, only eyes for herself, calling others 'peasants' and refusing to get Puppet's name right. In EAPS they played up how Lefty was Puppet's replacement in the TSBS universe, as a model, while in FNAF lore Lefty was created as a means to capture and contain the possessed Puppet. A failure, compared to the fates and purposes of creations like Ballora.

Ballora only showing interest in friendship with the DCA, something she feels related to. Even to a point where she sticks around even when Sun and Moon each proves to perplex her, because they are programmed so differently from her. Yet she still insists in feeling a relation towards them, over anyone one.

While still acting high and mighty over others, to Sun and Moon she is more open and calm. Wanting to spend time and expand on them as people, as individuals.

This need becoming useful to Eclipse, because the EAPS DCA are very quickly attached to him, because again, an unspoken relation binds them together. Eclipse has the experience that could benefit the two baby AI that learns and grows very different from how Ballora does, as she was clearly more 'finished' in her programming to be ready to perform while not much older than Sunpea and Moonpea. Eclipse have been both of them, he is a copy of Sun and Moon both, no matter how much he hates this fact.

When Eclipse needed help the most to get through to Sunpea about his obsession with seeing real magic, Ballora came through, recognizing Sunpea needs to be spoken to in a specific way. She respected Eclipse's need to hold some distance to things that pulls back to where he came from. To a point he THANKED HER. Granted, he spoke the gratitude AFTER she left the room (much like when New Moon apologized for Old Moon's abandonment of Eclipse, when Eclipse V3 had already left the room).

Eclipse V4 is already a friend to Earth, the one he has dared to attach to because she actually cares to know his side of things. While not taking offence but actually gaining from his refusal to sugar coat things the way her family and partner does. She isn't perfect, she needs to be told that now and again.

In this other dimension.. Ballora is gaining his trust in other ways. She accepts the things he says but dares to speak up that other perspectives exist. But not in the same way others around him does. Puppet is NOT on same wave length, Puppet is just using Eclipse and he knows it, even if Puppet denies so to themself half of the time. Ballora is full of herself, but so down to earth around Eclipse and the EAPS DCA.. she isn't Earth, but connecting to Eclipse in different ways.

She hasn't shamed him, yet tells him off when going too far. She hasn't lied to him, she hasn't forced him to do things. When she says "We are friends" it is with even more honesty than Earth because she holds no baggage that Earth has. Ballora is still young and new. She has nothing to gain from lying to Eclipse, she holds no power over him like Puppet does with the EAPS contract. Heck, I'm sure her hazing Puppet is a great source of amusement to Eclipse.

When Eclipse dropped out from that Gang Beast video after Puppet ONCE AGAIN forced Eclipse to interact with Lunar, despite his protests time and time again, all acted like they did not understand his reaction at all.

Because Ballora is the one to actually care. Eclipse has said out clearly what he wants and what he dislikes, and others, especially Puppet, has an attitude of "get over it" or "you deserve it."

Again, Ballora has no baggage to judge Eclipse with or add any 'but' to things she claims or says to him. She genuinely wants to be his friend as much as with Sunpea and Moonpea. While recognizing the DCA still has some growing to do, realizing she was programmed to start off more mature, while Eclipse IS already the most mature around. Sunpea and Moonpea are made to learn differently because they have to interact with children, with humans, directly. They have so much more to learn and expand on, than a performer meant for the stage.

I like the duality it gives Ballora. She is a primadonna full of herself. She talks to her bandmates and mocks Puppet by refusing to acknowledge knowing her name. Yet so patient and kind to the DCA and so eager to give Eclipse the understanding and care he so needs.

She truly grown on me over time, showing this much duality to herself. Her priorities and her own growth as a character, the more she learns of things she can do as (and despite of being) an animatronic.

I love her interactions with Eclipse for this. And I truly feel, with Ballora, Eclipse V4 can count two whole genuine friends, who actually cares and listens.

* At this point in time I like Freshy Kanal more than ERB, the match ups are more up my alley and the beats slap so much harder

* Sisyphus is JUST as interesting as Minos you’re just letting the memes control your judgement (read his terminal entry there’s more to him then just being a spiteful bastard towards heaven)

* If any other indie dev treated Steel Wool like Scott Cawthon did during the making of Security Breach (basically not telling them the games story which lead to it being a narrative clusterfuck) they would get drawn and quartered but because Scott Cawthon did it no one seems to mind???

* I’m beginning to not mind The Mimic but I will never get over how quickly Vanny got pushed aside. She could’ve shown how serial killers have copycat killers (something that Scott himself is scared of which is why no actual Fnaf themed restaurants have been made) long after their time is done (going back to the “I always come back” quote in a really cool way) but no we just get a fucked up little guy. I am looking forward to Secret Of The Mimic but the way Vanny got treated as a nothing threat after YEARS of build up is easily one of the most infuriating parts of Fnaf’s story

* I’m happy that the Five Laps At Freddy’s demo got patched but it NEVER should’ve been released in the state it was in and the people who were complaining towards those with concerns need to know that there is a difference between a demo with some glitches here and there and something that’s borderline unplayable. I am convinced that the demo only got released because the anniversary came up.

* Maybe Garten Of Banban would go away if people stop paying attention to it and constantly buying the new ones so they can bitch about how bad it is on their let’s play channels idk

* BATIM has my favourite setting out of any mascot horror game, it’s so immersive and the fact that it slowly changed into a sprawling ecosystem is so interesting to me

* Needy Streamer Overload has one of the best portrayals of mental illness I’ve ever seen in media but the actual gameplay gets really old after a while

* Surge > Scourge, I love them both for different reasons but Surge’s story is one of the darkest in Sonic canon and a lot more compelling to me, I’m interested to see what they do with her later in the comics

* Multishipping will free your mind please try it more I beg you

* Madohomu is NOT one sided, Homura’s feelings towards Madoka are that intense that anything Madoka feels towards her would feel small by comparison

* Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die is nowhere near the worst P!ATD album, it’s one of my favourites and it’s a really good listen for night time drives

* I hated the way some people got pissed at The Cuphead Show for not being lore and angst heavy. I really liked it! And they made certain characters way more entertaining than they were in the actual game! The Devil went from being a somewhat boring villain in the game to being my favourite character in the whole show. And the fact they made Brineybeard a monsterfucker is funnie he just like me fr

* The issue with Hazbin Hotel’s use of red isn’t the red itself, it’s the fact that the SAME shade is used CONSTANTLY. If they used different shades more frequently instead of just cherry red it wouldn’t be that much of an issue (like burgundy, burgundy is cool)

* The NiGHTS series might be one of the most wasted IP’s of all time, AMAZING character designs (NiGHTS’ design is genuinely perfect I would change nothing about it) and the atmosphere and tone was genuinely magical. Shigeru Miyamoto (the creator of MARIO) has gone on record saying that he wished he came up with the idea of NiGHTS, which is incredibly high praise…and we haven’t gotten a new one in YEARS! Where is it?!

* TADC is not an industry plant or content farm slop, because unlike that kind of shit you can actually tell that there’s passion and love behind the project. No one expected it to get as popular as it did it just happened.

* Telling someone who’s stimming (regardless of the amount of noise it makes) to stop in a condescending way is a really shitty thing to do, like come on man let my leg do its thing :(

* You do not have to defend everything you like until your last breath it’s okay to admit that it kinda sucks (Repo! The Genetic Opera is a clusterfuck narrative wise and some of the songs are shit but I still love it lmao)

* G3 Ivy’s design > G1 Ivy’s design

* The holy quintet transformation sequence in Rebellion is an actual work of art and a masterclass in symbolism i could write an entire thesis on it (and the music too omg)

* Homura and Kyoko have one of the most interesting dynamics in the entire show but no one talks about them for some reason?

* Helluva Boss’ second season will be remembered like Euphoria’s second season, amazing visuals and acting but the story took a fucking nosedive and there are several characters acting out of character solely so the plot can move forward (the fact they actually started giving Millie interesting characterisation only to get her pregnant two episodes later is insane and people are already accusing her of cheating fucking hell the misogyny in that fandom is rampant 😭)

* Leviathan has the worst boss theme in Ultrakill and it’s not even close

* Cyn is the best part of Murder Drones, she has the best design in the entire show and she’s the perfect mix of cute and disturbing

* TADC actually being character focused instead of lore focused is such a breath of fresh air, so many series’ focus on their lore to the point where the traits of the characters are mostly forged from fanon so to actually have a series focus on the actual characters and their issues is just great

FNAF rant cause we all love when I do this

I say this just for clarity but I am a 2014 FNAF fan and I also love sci-fi AND possession horror. Okay rant time.

I am so tired of FNAF fans i see online who have the same conversation over and over again. “FNAF is too much for kids now :(“ “I miss old FNAF!” “I dont understand the new lore! Only the first 6 games are canon to me!”

Holy shit.

These people never fail to make my day worse. We get it, you miss old FNAF. Everything is great when you 9 and watching FNAF videos for the first time. But a new generation of kids (ew) is enjoying FNAF like you did, and that’s fine.

Also I am sorry but the FNAF story is much MUCH easier to understand from a gameplay perspective NOW than it ever was in 2014-16. If you don’t agree you have no idea about theory spaces back then. FNAF lore is easy now, maybe you don’t understand cause your not willing to actually play the games and learn. OR maybe you just.. don’t like FNAF anymore? Which is fine but personally I love old FNAF story and new FNAF story. Why? Cause I just love FNAF no matter what.

Also. Mini rant. I DO NOT WANT A FREDBEARS GAME!!! WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT??? The game everyone WANTS is a game BEFORE the murders, right? Or at least on that shows William and Henry still owning fredbears. NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN IN THAT GAME! They either have to make it a very different genre from FNAF (which I’m totally cool with and encourage) or make it a boring non horror game. No kids are dead yet, no one possesses the suits. What would happen? Personally I want a fredbears BOOK. Cause I love books.

whike I mentally prepare myself to make a whole damn comic, it's time I talk about the FNAf movie because fuck you I am going to write what I want

At base value, I loved it. I felt the pacing was a little slow, but I love it. From the little refs to the games, to the in general plot, it was just very enjoyable, even if most of the plot is just from the fact Vanessa didn't tell Mike wtf was going on.

NOW! let's talk technical!

For a pg-13, it was pretty good! I feel it matches the games really well! It's not too scary, but it can give you a startle, especially to any newbie! My mom was startled by the balloon boy lmao. Also it had blood so it's a plus.

The acting, dialogue, and overall set is really good. Scrumptious if I do say so myself.

I loved how the animatronics looked. Freddy and chica being my overall favorites. Idk they made my boy Bonnie blue so I had to take a few points. The cupcake running around was weirdly funny to me lol.

Now lemme touch on the plot!

I liked the plot! Like I said before, it was a LITTLE slow, but nothing too bad. I found it really interesting with what they did with Micheal and the whole dream thing.

And the idea that the children communicate in pictures rather than words hit me pretty hard, because that how I myself communicate. Although I can be.. pretty good with my words, drawing, and art as a whole is relatable to me, making Abby a really relatable character to me.

I really don't understand the hate for the movies bc it's not lore accurate. So what??? A lot of movies based on games don't! I mean- look at the Sonic the hedgehog movie!! Or the Mario movie! So your point is invalid. And also- I'm pretty sure this is a lot more entertaining than watching Micheal do five nights at Freddy's smhhh.

Though I'm sitting here in complete wonder bc like- WHO WAS THE 5TH KID?! WE SEE HER IN THE PICTURES!!! BUT- IS IT CASSIE?? OR CHARLIE MAYBE?! IDK

Let's talk about the cons of the movie.

I keep bringing this up, but the movie was slow. Not unbearably slow, but still slow.

Also, the whole aunt subplot- idk I felt it wasn't really needed except for the mat pat scene (he fucking embraced that scene it was great the theater I was in started cheering and I had to explain to my mom why everyone was so happy)

Also I felt the one major jumpscare we get, of foxy, was waisted. It looked like he was rolling into the security guard on roller blades. I would have liked it if maybe foxy like jumped at the guard or something. Idk just a me thing

I also feel the 'i always come back' line was rushed, same with shaggy's- sorry I mean WILLIAM'S death. It didn't really feel satisfying ig?

also, I felt that Vanessa was more of a plot device than a character. Because most of the plot literally is riding on the fact she doesn't tell Mike the truth.

What would I rate this movie, and should you watch it?

This whole situation with the Talbert files and the Pinkypills thing made me realize how immature the fnaf fandom has become. Like I thought I felt something change by the time Security Breach came out, but it became glaringly obvious when the Scott Doxx happened a while ago.

As soon as that happened, people were more quick to be angry at Scott's decisions that should not be public in the first place, than at the person who leaked that info "for the lolz." Like okay I understand if you're concerned where your money's going after knowing that, but then that should be the case for all transactions ever.

Then, the "in regards to whether the books are canon or not, yes." And then people got mad at him for not answering directly, or it just went over their heads and now they think the books are canon. Like guys, he's a troll, that's how he always is.

And in 2023, we had all the Fanverse drama, and people getting way too heated over different theories.

The Movie hate I have a theory for.

If you were in the fandom around 2015/2016, you might remember how often fnaf got generalized 'for kids' online, or that a large portion of the fandom were kids, so therefore it was cringe. (This is at cringe culture's peak btw.) Years later, the "fnaf vhs horror" videos introduced a more mature portrayal than the source material. I don't have tiktok, but I imagine clips of these got reposted like crazy. This lead to fans that left a while ago and 'cringe haters' to be like "oOOh what did I miss?👀" They are now in a state of "SEE, FNAF ISNT FOR KIDS, SEE?? SEE???" Cringe denial. Then, when the movie came out, they had their expectations ramped up for a gore fest in a similar style, but failed to realize Fnaf was always campy with little to no gore. This is why the table fort scene is "so controversial." Then, some other people who liked the movie, just not that scene, were coping with, "THEYRE JUST KIDS" or "THEY TRYING TO TRICK ABBY INTO TRUSTING HER." The former is more believable, but you can easily just chalk it up to, "They're entertainer robots. They're built to have fun. The murdery is the twist."

Then VR2 happened, which like a bottle of soda pop, went flat really fast. We were still doing things in VR1 longer when that came out.

And now we're at our second drought. The first one was in 2017 before fnaf 6. And again, people are throwing a fit about Scott "defending" pinkypills, and not at the person pretending to be Scott. It's not as bad as the first time, but it's notable. Which by the way, the way he handles these types of situations is very serious and mature from any other content creator. However, I feel like he just doesn't know where to draw the "okay what in tarnation??" line, because he fired the other artist for doing the same things.

Overall, the fandom has become really whiney about every little thing recently. I think it's because from 2014-2016, we were very centered with fan-creativity, and now, since there is too much content to digest at once for newcomers, we have become very centered with theories and lil blues clues. It also doesn't help that there isn't any new content to dwell on, so we're all stuck with eachother.

Twice in Dawkos interview, Scott says something along the lines of no matter the lore, all he cares about is that is characters are enjoyed.

i hate how modern art communities have to “fandom-ify” every single new trendy thing literally DAYS (and sometimes even hours) after it drops. i know this is a lot of the same sentiment as those people that just go “popular thing bad” but honestly it really puts me off some medias because i dont want to associate with anyone else who likes it

do we really need a million different fan ocs and aus for EVERYTHING? and like, i know its nothing new, obviously we have the onceler and undertale aus to look back on, but its exhausting at this point because while those communities were presumably genuine, in the present day it just feels like the fandom equivalent to an industry plant. and most people dont even stick with the thing they decide to make their entire personality!!

remember when spiderverse came out and everyone made spidersonas? who can you name thats actually drawn their spidersona more than once? it feels like everyone just trend hops, and yes i know thats how the internet is but its just exhausting especially when it brings down otherwise creative and inspired works

fnaf security breach: everyone makes fnaf aus and glamrock animatronics, then spiderverse as previously mentioned, then welcome home dropped and thats becoming a shitshow with how yall are fandomizing what is essentially a small creator telling their ocs lore in a creative way, and now its happening with digital circus. im so tired of seeing projects that are cool and visually appealing becoming a cesspit of bland, unoriginal aus and piles of fanart only to get dropped when the new shiny comes out

and i wanna elaborate on welcome home for a second because i know damn well if one of these people who makes “daddy dom priest wally is actually the devil” aus had an oc they loved, and someone came along and made their own aus of it in the same way, that person would bitch and cry oc theft. some people dont even change up the characters design, like how entitled do you have to be to essentially just steal someones oc and call it your own? it disgusts me how people are treating clown and honestly i wish they would put the series on indefinite hiatus or complete their story privately to teach these people a lesson

another thing that puts me off is how every piece of media has to have the “fandom daddy” for lack of a better term. glamrock freddy, hobie brown, wally darling, or jax, its all the same thing repackaged; someones gotta be the tumblr sexyman. its so tiring—ESPECIALLY as a lesbian who doesnt really wanna center men in my life at all—to wanna see fanart of the media you like and its only: “heres the one character everyones horny for drawn in a totally different and more sexualized body type” with everyone in the comments salivating over them. i really like digital circus! but all i see are people who would walk across a mile of broken glass just to suck a fart out of jax’ ass. what about the other interesting characters? why does EVERY conversation with popular media have to be about “which guy is the most fuckable” (guy specifically because come on, when has a female character been the highlight of attention; using the previous example have you seen ONE person talking about digital circus that even remembers zooble exists)

it feels like nobody can appreciate work anymore without having to claim some form of ownership over it, to say “hey this thing is so popular and important that it is now a part of my identity!! look at my millions of ocs that i will draw one time and never again!” im just tired of people being unable to passively interact with media they enjoy and everyone seeming to fight over and prove some connection to the things they like

tldr: im tired of everyone in the art community making heaps of fanart, aus, and fan ocs for stuff the second it gets popular and then totally forgetting about it the next time something else gets popular

(and before yall bring up hyperfixations: i am autistic; i understand having so much love for a piece of media for a short while and then dropping it for no reason and its heart shattering; BUT AT THE SAME TIME this pattern is on oxford to me and its on such a large scale that it infects the greater art community as a whole)

That is indeed the nature of media consumer at its finest. I do feel like it is more appearent now due to the way most social media algorithm works. They only show what is trending at the moment, so naturally, we are exposed only to this specific thing until another trend eventually takes over.

Even artists who never create fan content can be influenced to do so by looking at the other artists, be it to dive in along the hype for the popularity of it, for the geniune fun, for the sense of community, and many more reasons.

My opinion on Mimic and its implementation in lore

The Mimic is no longer a mystery to anyone so I am not going to talk about who he is because everyone must know who he is (even more so when in a few months the anniversary of the boom that hit his revelation in Tales from the Pizzaplex with the story that bears the same name, The Mimic). Rather, I am going to focus on telling my personal experience with his introduction to the fandom and how he went from being a character I hated to being one of my favorite characters.

First I have to say that I was quite surprised by this plot twist because I did not follow Tales from the Pizzaplex and I had no idea what the stories were in them (this made me venture much later than this plot twist to read the history of GGY and knowing why they said that Gregory was Patient 46, but that is another story). The fact is that it was one day when I was even calmer that I came across a video that states that neither Glitchtrap nor Burntrap are William and explains his true identity and what the history of this new character is. I was very stunned because I could not believe that William was not one of these 2 characters when they had been apparently saying yes for years and I became discouraged and quite upset with this horrible retcon (or at least at the time I thought it was)

I went weeks without barely touching anything from Fnaf until the Ruin trailer premiered. I loved this trailer either for the entire horror setting it presented or for the Vanny Mask that brought us a great concept such as the VANNI network that I adore to this day. So what did I do? Well, I gave it a chance and I started to get interested in reading the Tales from the Pizzaplex stories or at least the two related to Mimic (The Storyteller and The Mimic)

I adored every bit of these stories and my hatred for Mimic, which had been very strong at the beginning, diminished considerably when I saw the potential he had as a villain and understood that it had not been a retcon. I understood that Scott had had this Help Wanted character in mind and the creation of Glitchtrap because the tears and drool he had proved it, in addition to his imitation of Tape Girl when we first entered the game, greeting us with that distorted voice. And of course because the scene of the tombs on the death screen finally made sense to me because William was dead, but his tomb represented in the center with that texture indicated to us that Mimic was imitating him and that he had him in the center like a king (This interpretation is not mine because several channels talk about it on YouTube but this scene finally made sense to me)

Another thing that changed my mind about Mimic when reading his story is realizing that he wasn't just a poor imitation of William for no reason other than killing people by imitating him. But Mimic for me is not only that and what seemed to be an empty character for me became a being who has an internal struggle due to the duality that exists in him where he wants to make friends but at the same time destroys and ends everything. the one he crosses paths with. In addition, it came "to life" so to speak since in the room of papers and drawings in the Pizzaplex we can find messages like "I can feel it." Although there was also the sadistic part like Glitchtrap and the part that hates being bothered as it is in the message "This is my home, leave"

All this made my affection for him notable but it wasn't until Ruin where I loved him even more (although poor Cassie didn't deserve it for everything she went through). I honestly loved that he appeared imitating Gregory's voice lines from Security breach like "The stupid door is not open." That seemed very macabre to me because it meant that Mimic spent the entire game watching what Gregory was doing, but at the same time I loved it.

The only thing that left me with a bittersweet taste was its introduction to the lore because they could have done better by giving more clues that we were indeed facing a new villain and it was not William Afton returning from the dead again. But for everything else Mimic is amazing and I really love its concept.

I sincerely hope that in future Steel Wool games they bring him back because I think he is a great villain and a great concept that gives a fresh air to the franchise.

Finally, I would like to point out that you should always give things a chance, even if you are not very excited about them because you may find things in them that you will end up loving. And above all, it is true that having Fnaf books is very expensive and not everyone can afford it, but you can read the stories or at least summaries, but above all the stories that you will not regret.

And this has been my personal opinion of the character of The Mimic. I have to clarify that this is my personal opinion and that if you don't have the same opinion as me, that's okay too since we each have our own opinions, all of which are equally valid.

Hazbin hotel, season 1. I like the songs, I love the story, the characters are interesting. It feels nice. But I've seen some people hate on it and I feel bad for enjoying something, I feel bad for liking something. It feels like I'm in the wrong for enjoying something simply because someone I like doesn't like the show or because of the fans. Over zealous fans kill a fandom, and you know what. It's no one person's fault. It's everyone's faults, it felt like such a nice show not trying to hang onto the coat tails of trying to be another simpsons or south park or robot chicken, it didn't feel too much like an overly edgy dark show trying to portray a grey. It just felt like it as itself. It felt like rewatching the muppets or the owl house, or rereading percy jackson for the first time. It felt like it was just itself. And I enjoyed it. Sure it's rough, it has some unpolished bits that felt unloved, sure it feels like a bad representation of the christian bible. But I feel the same about super natural or the good place. Sometimes you don't need to follow the original work, sometimes you can color outside the lines. It's a story, and some stories don't need a point they don't need a moral, they can just be that, entertaining. But still if your show needs fnaf levels of lore searching to find out why it's preestablished relationship needs some amount of reason to exist then maybe fix it or spell it out a bit. But I like the show, I enjoy it, in my eyes I see it as almost perfect. It'll never be perfect and that's okay. I like to watch things because I watch things. You should too, we can discuss, debunk, and theorize all we want, just remember it's in good fun. We shouldn't be pushing people away from fandoms, we shouldn't bring hate, even if you're on the outside and you genuinely hate the show don't give it hate don't bring attention to it. Just ignore it, it's not gonna call you out so why attack a rock? And it goes same for the other side, don't force people into the fandom, just show it to them and if they like it, cool, if they hate it, cool. All opinions on shows are valid if they're done in a way that doesn't harm others. We have to live in this filth, so why not just let people enjoy what they enjoy or just leave them alone. So if you have a friend who's looking for something to watch, recommend them your favorite show and move on, if it's brought up again then congrats you made a stronger bond, and if not then oh well there's always others you can talk to it about.

Can we all please agree that if Monty is not in DLC or an update, it's a slap in the face to Monty fans?

Before you go

"Well, your just mad your favorite didn't make it," or "Well, my favorite didn't make it."

First off, yeah, I would have loved to see some more of the FNAF6 cast. The usage of the Rockstars, even as cameos, would have been excellent. I'm still perplexed at why Scraptrap and Molten were axed (although the latter connection to the blob has me think they have something planned)

At the same time, this game's main focus was Sister Location and Security Breach.

When the game was first announced, I thought it would be Sister Location and FNAF6, with a smidge of Security Breach.

HW1 is primarily FNAF 1-3, with FNAF 4 and SL being merged. This is why even though I wanted to see Ballora, it was alright. The game's focus was never on the Funtimes; they were more of a bonus. It sucks that the DLC excluded her, but it was a "Hey, we didn't use many of the FNAF4 animatronics, here's some unique games for them."

Then you get to HW2, and the entire animatronic cast of SL is in this game. Believe me, I was not expecting Fun-Time Foxy at all. The real focus of this game is SB. Every animatronic but Monty gets voice lines, a minigame, or a unique scene. Monty gets a statue and plushie; that's it.

I think it's more upsetting that it seems SW saw all of the "Monty killed Bonnie, we hate him posts" and decided that they would double down on it. It's already been annoying being a Monty fan, with people not understanding whether or not Monty killed Bonnie. People can like characters that are GASP, not entirely good. (also, this is the same series with a child killer).

It sucks that the only thing Monty fans get is some dumb gutterball animation that strokes the fires of that debate. Not only do we not have Monty, but we also have to deal with "Monty KiLled BoNnIe" all over again.

Before you come at me saying I'm being over dramatic. Imagine if Roxy, Chica, Freddy, Sun/Moon, or DJ were missing. Imagine if, once again, Vanny didn't appear. That your favorite was the only one not in the game. At the same time, you saw everyone getting new content and fans talking about how their faves got new lines or lore. You are stuck being told to be grateful over a statue.

I don't need Monty to have major importance or whatever suddenly. Considering he's possibly dead after Ruin, and HW2 is set before that game. It would have been nice to see him one last time in VR, which is part of the appeal.

My only hope is that they decide to save Monty for DLC because his minigame or whatever they had planned took too much time, and they didn't want to rush it.

Right now, it feels like we're being punished for liking the "wrong" animatronic.

My thoughts on the fnaf movie. ⚠️spoilers ahead, if you haven’t watched the movie yet, I urge you to watch it and then come back and read this⚠️

Hey, so I just got finished watching the five nights at Freddy’s movie and let’s just say it was pretty good. I don’t normally put out my thoughts on movies that I watch or reviews on them but I thought this would be a little fun and like I said if you haven’t seen it yet, I kindly ask you to go watch it and then come back here and read what I have to say so that I don’t spoil the fun for you. If you read this without watching the movie, please do not get mad at me for spoiling it because I did warn you and asked you to watch it first . Without further ado, here’s my thought on it.

Things I liked about it:

At first, I had my doubts with Matthew Lillard, playing William Afton, but he did an amazing job, especially at the end. I really enjoyed his take on our beloved villain of the story.

I found it really cool that one of MatPat’s lines is “but that’s just a theory.” because it references his oh so popular phrase that he always says on his channel.

The animatronics designs. I love how they look almost like they just stepped right out of the video game and look absolutely amazing and say what you will about them having red eyes, but I really didn’t mind it.

Foxy humming. There are parts were foxy hums while he hunts, and it brings back a detail from the game

The miniature doll of balloon boy popping up every so often in cabinets and scaring the shit out of Mike. He did what we were all thinking, and turned that fucker around.

Spring lock failure scene

OK now that I got through the things that I liked and enjoyed in the movie here’s the things that I wish could’ve been different and didn’t necessarily like or find necessary

I wish they there was more scenes at the pizzeria and a little more time with the animatronics because they were so cool, and I wish the movie was a little longer because it kind of just felt rushed at some parts.

I wish the spring lock screen was a little more than what we got and had a little little more dramatics I guess, like, for example, more violent thrashing, and more blood but I mean it is also a PG-13 movie so they can’t really have a lot of blood and gore

 I wish they actually played Toreador March at some point like they did in the trailer

Scott Cawthon should’ve been the one on that training tape

 I feel like Vanessa could’ve been written better . No hate to the actress though, because she was just doing her job and going off of the script.

I know we all wish we could’ve seen Markiplier since he’s the reason the game really took flight mainly but since he had scheduling conflicts with the iron lung movie, he’s working on unfortunately he couldn’t do it but it would’ve been really cool to see him in it.

So I had a lot more things I enjoyed and liked rather than not. I’m just happy we finally got a five nights at Freddy’s movie after many many years, and many many trials and errors, and rewrites. Mind you, this isn’t going to be exactly like the games because the movie is an entire new story and lore, with some five nights at Freddy’s game lore, mixed in(there’s so many different five nights at Freddy’s universe lores) if I had to rate it, I’d probably give it an eight or nine out of 10 because I actually thoroughly enjoyed it and it made my inner child really happy because in a weird way, Five Nights at Freddy’s saved my life because the lore and the games and the fandom, was my escape from my reality in school(I was what you could call a Carrie White in junior high and high school) and it really helped me find my passions, which was cosplay because some of my first cosplays were five nights at Freddy’s. So finally getting to see the movie we were promised is amazing and made 12 to 13 year-old me really happy.

Anyways, I’m gonna go to bed now because it’s almost 5 in the morning so peace out✌️

Favorite game is 4 but HW1 is better game play wise imo

As for like human characters, I love both movie and game mike, movie Vanessa, Cassie, and game Vanessa's potential

I like a lot of the big fangames a lot too, my favorites being the DSaF series, FNaC 3, and Super Fnaf.

I think the books suck ass (unless they're the logbook or cookbook <3), and the mimic is fucking stupid and should've just been a digital only thing, w/o a physical robot

((First things first: Was this movie a cinematic masterpiece? No. It's a PG-13 thriller movie made for kids. BUT it was funny, actually pretty outright gruesome for a kids movie, and brought the characters we all love to life in a way that really just feels magical.

Now....onward to the screaming!))

Abby is adorable. I love her, and she deserves the world.

As a sibling myself, I think that Abby and Mike's portrayed sibling relationship was perfect.

The character-themed stained glass windows in the restaurant were actually really cute and if I had the Adult Money and a place to put them I'd buy something like that.

I know the whole thing with Aunt Jane is meant to make you hate her (and it really does that well), but with two lawyers in my own family I know how intense law school can be and couldn't help but laugh during the scenes in the dinner bc that poor attorney was having the mother of all moral crisis in that booth.

The fact that the ghost kids can harm Mike in his dreams and actually harm him IRL without needing to put the animatronics in the same room really shows off how powerful they actually are.

Vanessa why tf did you just throw Mike's pills into the canal? That's not proper disposal of controlled substances you should know this did you sleep through your training?!

Between tossing the pills and spending most of her shift time at a broken-down restaurant with a loser security guard I honestly thought Vanessa would turn out to be a fake cop at the end.

I thought the fort scene was cute. Don't @ me it was cute af they're dead kids but they're still kids and they look like they're all Abby's age or younger let them be kids damnit!!

I also thought that all the memes about Balloon Boy were a joke but my god does that little gremlin get you when you least expect it.

I don't get why people (re: other fans mostly on TikTok) seemed surprised by the twist that Vanessa was Afton's daughter. I thought that had been a fairly mainstream theory for a while?

William actually looked a little remorseful when he stabbed Vanessa....not, like, in a "what have I done?!" kind of way but more like "aw shit, now I'm gonna have to find a new accomplice" kind of way.

The springlock scene may not have been that popular fan-made audio, but....god damn, my guys, it was gruesome. I loved it. Yeah! Yeah, you sick bastard! Die slowly! Get a taste of your own medicine!!

That poor taxi driver really went through it, huh?

why in the fuck are the families swapped? so we see that Mikes dad is henry? (in the intro tape we see the guy working on an animatronic and then we seem him in the dream as mikes dad) then garret and abby are like what also henrys kids? and why the fuck does afton only have 1 kid (he has three in lore™)

follow up, Why is Vanessa aftons kid??? they wernt even alive at the same time she came along when he was already rotten??

anyway- i like the paralells to the silver eyes (see: the foxy and abby in the arcade scene and the finale springlock scene) and i loved the look of everything

i hated the character relationships- they were all very wrong?
