4419 lake shore drive
part 06
masterlist
a stray kids social media au
at y/n’s house —
“jisung?”
y/n was surprised to see her ex standing in front of the door, soaking wet. his jaw was clenched, she couldn’t tell if he was angry or not.
“why didn’t you show up?” he asked quietly. he stepped closer, looking down at her with red eyes.
“i tried to text you but nothing was going through, i just got home and was about to head to the park.”
it wasn’t a lie. once she realized she’d be late she made changbin speed walk along side her. jisung knew she was telling the truth, he could see the umbrella in her hands.
“you were with changbin?” jisung asked, his voice wavered slightly. y/n had just come back, he couldn’t lose her so quickly.
“why don’t you come in?” y/n sighed as she stepped back to open the door wider. his shoes squeaked against the floor, she forgot how wet he was.
“i have spare clothes that my dad left behind, do you want to borrow some? i could put your clothes in the dryer so we can sit and talk.” she said while walking into the guest room, already deciding for him.
she couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of him, he was standing like an idle sim character just waiting for her to instruct him. he nodded and took the clothes into the bathroom to change.
y/n pulled out her phone and decided to text the groupchat about the events that just occurred.
y/n : jisung is at my house.
woojin : what
jeongin : r u giving him premarital kisses
woojin : what
jeongin : RIP y/nlix today-today
“i hope you don’t mind, i put my clothes in the dryer myself, i knew where it was so”
y/n dropped her phone at his sudden voice, he walked towards her and picked it up. he handed it to her and couldn’t help but let his hand linger over hers. it felt very slow motion to him, it’s been so long since he’s been this close to her. he missed it.
y/n patted the seat next to her but jisung opted to sit on the opposite side of the couch instead. she brought her knees to her chest and turned slightly so she was facing him, the whole situation felt so weird.
“i’m sorry i cornered you earlier, in the shop.” he looked sad, y/n couldn’t really figure out why.
“it’s okay... i’m sorry i tried to avoid you in the coffee shop.” she said, he laughed at this. she never was a confrontational person, it seems as though after all these years she hasn’t changed.
“i wish we could have started today off on a better note, i hate how awkward this is.” he sighed, putting his face in his hands.
“we were always kind of dramatic weren’t we? i think it’s just who we are” y/n laughed
jisung looked up at her from his hands, it just hit him. y/n didn’t hate him. he still had a chance to make all this right. he had a chance to win her back.
“y/n” he said seriously, gaining her attention. “do you remember our last conversation before you left?”
she felt a pang in her chest, as much as she tried to forget that day, it was burned in her mind.
“uh yes, yes i do. why?” she asked. the last time they spoke he ended her world. jisung had asked y/n to meet her at the park, she thought nothing of it since it was their usual meet up spot but when she saw him she knew bad news was coming. his eyes were red, he had obviously been crying.
“jisung? are you okay? what’s wrong?” y/n approached him quickly.
“it’s fine. i’m fine” he responded coldly. y/n had never seen him like this, jisung had previously treated her with nothing but kindness and respect. something about him was off.
“you’re leaving. when?” jisung tried to keep a straight face but he couldn’t hide the sadness in his voice.
y/n’s parents decided to move to america, her father got a better job offer and they didn’t mind the new change in scenery. ignoring her protests, they enrolled her in a private school and already bought a house.
“i’ll be gone by the end of the month.”
jisung took a deep breath, he knew what he had to do but he was deeply dreading it.
“do you know when you’re coming back?”
“no”
“y/n...” he started, his voice cracking ever so slightly, “i think it’s best if we break up. you’re moving to another country, going to a better school, you don’t need me holding you back.”
“how can you say that? you’ve been with me my whole life, you’re just going to give up on us? no. it’s not ending like this.” y/n said angrily. jisung was the one who pined after her, who asked her out, who owned her heart. there was no way she was going to let go of him so easily.
“how is this going to work, y/n? we’re just high school students. you’re going to be living a new life in another time zone. it’s easier for you to just leave me behind and move on with your life.” he sighed again. each word that came out of his mouth was a blow to his heart.
“no. it’s not that simple and you know it.” her voice grew louder with each word, “it’s almost spring, you said that with every spring you would love me more and more. don’t you remember the first time you told me you loved me? it was on a spring day you said ‘i was made for you, i was born for you, i love you with all my soul’. did that mean nothing to you? do you regret the words you said? does it-“
“i cheated on you.”
jisung’s words fell out of his mouth like vapour but landed in her guts as shrapnel. y/n felt her insides tear, and the blood drain from her face. she would have laughed but he was deadly serious. his eyes were cold like she’s never seen and his features immobile. he looked like someone about to vomit.
she was trying to understand the words he's told her but couldn’t. ‘jisung must love me, he has for so many years’. then he turned to go, shoulders sunken and his hands in his pockets. before she knew what she was doing she was standing in his way and they locked eyes, the perfect distance for a kiss, but he shook his head. y/n could see her pain mirrored in his dark eyes.
y/n has dreaded spring since then.
“y/n?” jisung’s soft voice brought her back to reality. she couldn’t bear to look him in the eyes right now, all she could imagine was him breaking her heart all those years ago. she kept a stoic face and turned towards him once again.
“yes?”
“i want to talk about it. there’s so much i need to say, i don’t want you to hate me anymore” jisung reached for her hand but she pulled away as soon as she felt his touch. he nodded and retracted it.
“i feel as though we said all we needed to say that day” she coughed, she felt as though he was going to drop another bomb.
“yes i know, but there’s something you don’t know. that day... i lied” jisung said quickly. he tried to scan her face for any emotion but it was useless.
the words played over and over again in her head. ‘i lied’. she truly didn’t know how to react. he lied?
“you lied? what does that mean?”
“i didn’t cheat on you. i lied.”
“what... what does this mean? why did you say that if it was a lie? what sick game are you playing, han?” y/n only called him by his last name in cases where she was extremely mad at him. this was one of those times.
“i knew you wouldn’t leave if you still loved me, i needed you to have a fresh start. to have a life that i wasn’t a part of.” he tried to explain but he was shortly cut off.
“oh so you did this for my sake? well thank you so very much. it totally helped me move, i wasn’t heartbroken for a year... nope!” she yelled sarcastically.
jisung wondered if he made a mistake telling her. no. it’s the right thing to do, she deserves to know the truth.
y/n felt her insides boiling, she was getting angry. she knew better than to argue right now, no good would come from it. so much damage was done when she argued. every mean thing she'd thought but knew better than to say came flooding out. y/n didn’t know if she was mad or heartbroken. nonetheless, the tears fell slowly from her eyes.
“it’s late, you can sleep in the guest bedroom. we can’t talk more in the morning.” y/n signed as she brought her hand to her eyes, quickly wiping the tears.
“but y/n-“
“goodnight jisung.” she walked to her bedroom and closed the door.
jisung put his head into his hands and groaned. he had no idea what was going to happen the next day.

SNOW DAY ➝ ROOMIES.
TAGGING ➝ Fat Amy, Chloe Beale, Beca Mitchell.
LOCATION ➝ Beca, Chloe and Amy’s apartment.
TIME FRAME ➝ 2/3, early afternoon.
WARNINGS ➝ None.
NOTES ➝ Roommate snow day.
CHLOE
Taking the weather into consideration, Chloe probably should not have even made the journey to her internship today. There would’ve been no repercussions for her if she hadn’t—hardly anyone else bothered to show up, after all—but always eager to please, she’d gone ahead and made the effort regardless. It really did not surprise her that they’d decided to close up shop early, though. The snow, already a thick blanket on the ground, really was coming down, so the sooner she made it back to the apartment, the better.
Following a quick stop at Rocco’s to pick up the order Beca had called in (she’d been on her way there already; she knew Beca), Chloe trudged through the heavy snowfall and to their building, unceremoniously shaking herself off like a particularly wet dog the moment she made it to shelter. Taking Beca’s ‘be quite’ order very seriously, she switched from walking to tiptoeing once she reached their door, letting herself into the apartment as quietly as possible, though greeted Beca with a bright smile, before pretending to zip her mouth shut.
Their bag of food rustled loudly as she set it down on the counter, with Chloe flashing Beca an apologetic look over her shoulder, before shrugging off her jacket to reveal her cartoon animal printed scrubs, fortunately dry of snow. Not wanting to disturb Beca’s work call, Chloe hovered in the kitchen area, glancing somewhat helplessly between Beca and the bag of food until she caught Beca’s eye. ‘What do I do?’ she mouthed.
BECA
As much as Beca’s job had been sucking balls lately, she was beyond grateful her boss was cool with her working from home when it snowed. Beca never really did well in extreme temperatures in general–she bitched about the sticky southern heat throughout college, and NYC summers were just as bad if not worse, thanks to the city stench. Winters were a different animal altogether. So on mornings like today, she slept an extra 45 minutes, shuffled to the coffee maker, and “dressed” for the day.
Which meant that when Chloe returned home, she’d find Beca with her hair and makeup done, wearing a nice button-down shirt and a blazer… with checkered pajama pants and fuzzy socks. (Chloe’s fuzzy socks. Whatever, her feet were cold and they just happened to be nearby.) Headphones secured over her ears, she sat Indian-style at the foot of their bed with her laptop propped onto a foldable tray at the appropriate height, eyes flickering toward the door on instinct when Chloe shuffled inside.
Ugh, Rocco’s smelled so freaking good. Beca’s stomach rumbled. At Chloe’s shrug, Beca held up a quick ‘one second’ pointer finger offscreen, flashing a pained sort of smile at her laptop screen. “Yep, got it! I’m with you, Sharon. We’re tooootally gonna crush it with this one. I’ll send the suggested changes to you by end-of-day Friday.” With a nerdy two-finger salute, Beca signed off and closed her laptop, setting her headphones on top. Then she very ungracefully groaned as she flopped backwards onto their still unmade bed, dramatically throwing her forearm over her eyes. “I seriously can’t stand that bitch.”
CHLOE
Thankful that Beca’s work call seemed to be wrapping up, Chloe’s almost-panic dissipated quickly, until she was leaning back against the kitchen counter with a quick nod. She pulled her lips inward to keep herself from openly giggling at Beca’s dorky salute toward her laptop, then pushed herself upright again as the call came to an end. “But you saluted her,” she teased, quickly grabbing a couple plates, then the bag of food to bring it over to their unmade bed. “What’d she do?” she hummed, kicking off her snow-covered shoes—she’d do something with them later; right now she wanted food.
Scooting around the heap that was a flopped back Beca as she climbed onto their bed, Chloe shuffled to a comfortable position, legs crossing the same way as Beca’s as she set down their lunch things. “You know Rocco’s is going to make you feel so much better. Even if you do look super grumpy right now.” Her nose wrinkled as she studied Beca’s body language, though she quickly offered over a plate, then got to work on digging into the bag to pull out their respective meals. “I guess at least you didn’t have to walk through the snow today, right?”
AMY
Looking out the window of the apartment she woke up in, Amy realized sleeping over at - wait, what’s his name again? - place might have been the wrong decision. She looked out over an outstretched white blanket and dreaded the journey home already. She briefly wondered if her roommates would be staying home today.
Walking already was not Amy’s favorite activity. Walking is snow is even worse. After what’s his face jumped in the shower, she made quick work of getting dressed and got out of the apartment before he was even done. The ground was slippery but Amy tried to hurry and get home as soon as possible. Luckily, the trip back to Brooklyn went smoothly and as she walked into the Starbucks around the corner of their apartment building, she shot a quick text to the roommates groupchat asking is they’re home.
Happy to have made it back to the apartment building in one piece, Amy climbed the stairs huffing and puffing while holding a tray with 3 cups of steaming hot coffee and a bag of pastries. She opens the apartment door and finds Beca and Chloe chatting in the apartment. „what’s up, pitches!” She quickly closes the door behind her to keep out the cold, kicks of her shoes and hands them their coffee. „As always Butter Pecan for you, Red. And BM, coffee black, like your soul.”
BECA
"She's just..." Beca puffed out a hard breath. "She either dismisses my ideas entirely, or when she likes what I've got to offer she tries to pass it off as her own idea to the execs. She keeps putting me on these shitty projects that are almost impossible to make better. I mean I love a challenge, but..." She winced, shaking her head. No need to get into 'Lil' Pimp Lo'. Especially on her lunch break.
She forced herself to sit up when Chloe joined her, smiling as the scent of her favorite lunch wafted toward her like a goddamn cartoon pie in a window sill. "Yeah, thanks for picking it up. And you're right, at least I didn't have to deal with a horrific commute today. How was your morning? Meet any new furry friends?"
After inhaling her nacho platter, Beca insisted on cleaning up the bags and washing the dishes. She made a move to stand when Amy burst inside. "Dude, is that coffee? You're a mind reader." That was... sort of like a greeting, Beca. Close enough. "Where've you been, Ames? Should I even bother asking?" Beca cast a knowing smirk at Chloe before making her way into the kitchen, setting her coffee on the counter while she got to work cleaning off their lunch plates.
CHLOE
Chloe's nose wrinkled as she listened to Beca's complaints. It wasn't a new thing, Beca seeming unhappy where her job was concerned, but it also wasn't Chloe place to comment, so she simply nodded along and let her vent. "She tries to take your ideas because you're so good at what you do," Chloe pointed out, offering up an encouraging smile, though it twisted into something a little more mischievous then, "Maybe we should prank call her." Her brows rose and fell playfully.
Pleased that lunch seemed to be something of a pick-me-up, Chloe nodded her head in acknowledgment, plating up her own food. "Mm, not really," she shrugged, reaching over to steal a nacho. "It's weird, those little things people bring their pets in for always somehow manage to be resolved at home when the weather's like this. Funny how that works!"
Although she liked to help out, Chloe wasn't going to argue, so while Beca took care of cleaning up afterwards, Chloe quickly changed out of her scrubs and into something more comfortable. She was mid-pulling her sweater on when the door opened, with her glancing over to flash Amy a bright smile. "Coffee," she said in an almost dreamy tone, instantly floating over to accept the cup. "Did you know you're an angel?" Chloe winked, pulling the warm drink close to her chest as she tugged her hair from beneath her sweater with her free hand. While she shot Beca the same knowing look, Chloe stayed quiet, eyeing Amy in anticipation of a likely wild response.
AMY
“Well...” she started while considering wether to give her roommates the full story or not. “Yesterday I was performing Fat Amy Winehouse at Times Square. This guy kept coming back like every hour and at first I thought it was really annoying. He didn’t say anything. Just stood there, watching.” She paused briefly to take a sip of coffee and open the bag of pastries.
She took a bite of a cinnamon bun and continued: “after seeing him for the third time I decided to talk to him. I mean, he was a hot piece and I was surprised to hear he had an Australian accent as well. Anyway, long story short; he asked me out, I didn’t have anything better to do so here we are... ” she shrugged.
Amy decides to keep the story at that and to not tell her roommates about the feeling she’s had the entire time, that the guy looked oddly familiar. It didn’t matter anymore anyway. She was home now and honestly didn’t even remember the dudes name.
“What have you guys been up too? Taking a snow day or working from home?” She looked between her two roommates and noticed Beca had obviously been working.
“You know, if you want... I could work from home too. Let me just get out my...”
BECA
Beca listened to Amy's latest adventure while she focused on washing the few dishes they'd used for lunch, all while keeping her eyes trained on the sink and definitely not on Chloe changing her clothes behind her. "Sounds like you've got yourself a groupie," she teased, setting the dishes in the drying rack and plucking the dish towel to dry off her hands. "I'm working from home, Chloe left early." Beca snagged the coffee back from the counter and curled back up on her spot in bed. "Maybe I'll take the rest of the day off. No meetings this afternoon so it doesn't matter much." She wasn't on any active tight deadlines and it wasn't like she'd get much accomplished with both Chloe and Amy home anyway.
CHLOE
Amy's adventures always provided a lot of entertainment, so Chloe sipped happily on her coffee as she listened to her regail them of her latest one. "So you stayed at his place?" Chloe questioned, brows rising and falling suggestively. "Is he cute?" Still only half-changed, she set her coffee cup down on the nearest available space—a difficult find in their cramped shoebox apartment—then got to work on tugging off her scrub pants without regard for her roommates. Surely they were used to her by now.
"Bec, you totes should take the rest of the day off," Chloe nodded enthusiastically. "Especially if Amy's gonna sing for us." She flashed a bright grin toward Amy, plucking a pair of black leggings from their not-quite-closet, before pausing with something of a gasp. "Oh, wait! Guess who I ran into this morning." Without giving either a chance to actually guess, she continued with raised brows, one foot in the leggings. "Aubrey. She's living in the city, too."
AMY
"Yeah shortstack, take the day off. We should hang out!" Amy said while standing up to go change her clothes.
On her way to her side of the room, Amy heard Chloe mention running into Aubrey. She turned on the spot and returned back to her previous position on the kitchen chair and picked her coffee back up to listen to Chloe’s story of her encounter with Aubrey.
"Wait, are you saying that you didn’t know Aubrey lived in the city too? How is that even possible? Isn’t she your best friend?”
BECA
Beca sighed. "Fine, why not?" It wasn't like she'd be able to concentrate much with one roommate home, let alone both. Besides, she rarely used her sick time and was long overdue for some time off.
Noting Amy pointedly avoided Chloe's question about the guy--she figured she probably didn't want to talk about him, which was cool--her gaze snapped back to Chloe. "Oh, for real? Yeah, that's... super weird. I guess she's been really busy to not drop you a text at least, huh?"
CHLOE
It hadn't passed Chloe by that it was incredibly weird that Aubrey hadn't stayed in touch—maybe she should've tried a little harder herself or something—so she wrinkled her nose in response to both of her roommates. "Yeah, I don't know. She seems to be doing super well, though," she offered, pushing a bright smile to her lips to replace the sadder one that really wanted to be there.
Wanting to change the topic from what a bad friend she must've been, Chloe retrieved her coffee cup again, bouncing toward she and Beca's bed and gracefully plopping down. "So what should we do? We're never all home during the day like this."

Oh, Teacher
Summary: Summer is over, and school is starting again. It’s Dan’s final year of high school. He’s a senior now, but that’s not the only thing that’s changed.
Genre: AU, Fluff
Word Count: 1,825
Trigger Warnings: swearing, studentxteacher relationship
A/N: Thanks so much to @vafa1808 for giving me this prompt :)
Dan lets out a sigh as he walks up to the school building, feeling less motivating about being back at school after having one of the best summers of his life. He’s been dreading about returning to school, although he’s not too upset because he’s happy that he gets to see his friends again.
Dan has a groupchat with his friends from school, and they’ve been texting each other all summer. Dan was away for most of the summer so he didn’t get to see his friends as much as he would have hoped for.
Dan shakes himself out of his thoughts before walking into school. He heads to his locker first before heading straight to his first period class, which happens to be English, his favorite subject.
“Hey stranger,”
Dan looks up when he hears the familiar voice and smiles when he sees his friend, PJ.
“Hey man! Good to see you again,” Dan says before pulling PJ into a hug. “No one else here yet?”
“It’s the first day of school, what do you think?” PJ chuckles. “Everybody is catching up with each other, however I don’t have the patience for that because it’s too early. I got here just as Mr. Lester did.”
Dan perks up as soon as PJ mentions Mr. Lester, the English teacher. “Mr. Lester is already here?”
“Yeah, but he went to the teacher’s lounge for something. I don’t really know,” PJ replies with a shrug before sitting back down in his seat. “Honestly, I’ll be surprised if Chris even shows up today.”
Dan laughs and nods in agreement. “Yeah, probably got drunk last night or did something stupid because he doesn’t want to go to school, but honestly… I don’t blame him,,” he sighs before sitting in the seat next to PJ. “Can you believe we’re in our final year of high school? Like, we’re gonna be free after this.”
“I know,” PJ smiles as he looks over at Dan. “It’s fucking exciting, that’s what it is.”
Dan looks up as more students start piling into the classroom, and then sits up when he sees Mr. Lester.
Mr. Lester looks over and smiles when he sees Dan. “Good morning boys,” he greets.
“Morning Mr. Lester,” PJ replies back. “How are teachers always so awake on the first day of school?”
“They’re probably used to it now. Oh, hey. What a surprise!” Dan grins when Chris and a couple of their other friends finally walk into the classroom. Chris is known around the school for skipping classes and causing trouble, and he also happens to smoke and goes to a lot of parties just to get drunk.
“Shut up,” Chris mumbles as he takes a seat on the other side of PJ.
“We didn’t think you were gonna show up today,” PJ reaches over and kisses Chris.
“I wasn’t, but my parents made me so I didn’t really have a choice,” Chris sighs and rubs his eyes.
“You’re so cute when you’re tired in the morning,” PJ grins.
Dan rolls his eyes as he watches the couple. “You two are absolutely disgusting,” he groans.
PJ looks over at Dan. “Don’t be so jealous Daniel,” he warns playfully before smirking.
“Believe me, I have nothing to be jealous of,” Dan huffs.
“So, Daniel, how was your summer?” Chris asks as he looks over at Dan. “We hardly saw you.”
“Uh, yeah… it was alright. My family and I went on a vacation so we were pretty busy,” Dan shrugs.
“A vacation? Surely Aiden would have been posting about that on Facebook?” PJ raises his eyebrows.
Dan looks over at PJ and raises his eyebrows. “I know, but, mom took away our phones for like two weeks while we were on vacation and we weren’t allowed to be on social media. It was one of those vacations,” he says, chuckling. “It was quite nice actually, not checking online every five minutes.”
“Shit,” PJ says as his eyes widen slightly. “I wouldn’t have been able to survive that.”
“Well, we were in Florida so we were busy a lot of the times,” Dan says. He places his hands on his desk and gently starts tapping on his desk, completely forgetting about the ring that sits on his finger.
PJ happens to glance over and blinks a few times when he spots the ring on Dan’s finger that he’s sure wasn’t there before, and it’s on his ring finger as well which confuses PJ.
“Hey, Dan? Where’d you get that ring from?” PJ asks curiously.
“What?” Dan asks, instantly looking over at PJ.
Chris looks over and raises his eyebrows when he sees what PJ is talking about. “Holy shit, dude,”
“Yeah, that ring. Where did you get it from?” PJ asks him again. “You didn’t have that ring before.”
“Oh, uh… yeah,” Dan chuckles nervously as he looks down at the ring. “It’s cool. Got it this summer. Hey, did you guys here about that party happening this weekend?” He looks up at Chris and PJ.
“Party?” Chris asks, his head snapping up immediately. “What party is this?”
“I heard someone talking in the hallway saying that there’s going to be a party this weekend,” Dan says. “Like, for a back-to-school party thing. I don’t know. It’s just an excuse to throw a party.”
“Fuckin’ sweet. I need to find out more about this party,” Chris says.
PJ rolls his eyes. “Of course a party being mentioned would get you excited,” he mumbles.
“What can I say, babe? I’m a party animal,” Chris smirks, leaning back in his chair.
Dan snorts. “Why did you fall in love with this fool, Peej?”
“Hey!” Chris huffs and rolls his eyes. “Peej, beat him up. He’s being mean to me.”
“Okay,” PJ laughs. “I’ll get right on that.” He reaches over and gently pats Chris’s shoulder.
“Alright, class. Settle down. Take your seat, but don’t get too comfortable because we will be having assigned seats,” Mr. Lester says as he looks up at his class and he chuckles when they start groaning. “Okay then, let’s do attendance.” He sits down at his desk and pulls up the attendance.
Phil finally starts doing attendance, looking up as he says the students name.
“Noah Harrison?”
“Here,”
“Chris Kendall?”
Chris blinks a few times as he looks up, and instantly looks over at Dan, who doesn’t seem phased at all that Mr. Lester completely skipped his name on the attendance. “Um, here?”
“Dan Lester?”
“Here,” Dan says, looking up at Phil and smiling at him. He looks around and blinks a few times when he sees that his other classmates are staring at him with shock. “What?” He looks over at PJ.
“Lester?” PJ hisses. “What the hell, Dan? What happened to you this summer?”
“Oh, heh. Um, guess I left out a little detail about why we went to Florida, didn’t I?” Dan blushes.
“PJ Liguori?”
PJ looks up. “Um, here…” He mumbles, glancing over at Dan again. “You have a lot of explaining to do.”
“Later,” Dan whispers. He glances over at Phil once more before looking down at the ring on his hand and smiling to himself. He completely forgotten his other students had no idea that he got married this summer, let alone getting married to their teacher. He knew he had a lot to explain to his friends.
**
“Spill,” PJ says as he, Chris and Dan were standing outside waiting for their rides. School just ended and Dan’s been getting bugged all day about his last name change by Chris and PJ.
Dan sighs as he looks over at PJ. “I’m married now,” he tells him.
“You’re married?” Chris asks, raising his eyebrows. “You’re not even out of high school and you’re married?”
“What can I say? It’s not my fault that I fell in love,” Dan replies with a shrug.
“Dan? Are you ready to go?”
Dan looks over and he smiles when he sees Mr. Lester walking up to him. “I’m ready,” he reaches down and grabs his book bag from the ground, and then he reaches up and kisses Mr. Lester.
Chris and PJ are both in shock as they watch Dan, both eyes wide and jaws are wide open.
Dan looks over and laughs when he sees the look on their faces. “Surprise? Phil and I got married!”
Chris blinks a few times. “Phil?” He asks. “What the fuck, Dan? You married our teacher!”
“So, what? I’m an adult now, Chris. I’m eighteen years old. We’ve been dating secretly for two years but we wanted to get married as soon as I turned eighteen because no one can tell us no,” Dan explains.
“I mean… I guess,” PJ sighs. “It’s just really weird.” He looks up at their teacher.
“I know it must be pretty shocking to learn about this,” Mr. Lester, Phil, says as he wraps an arm around Dan’s shoulder, and gently squeezes him. “But, I can assure you that Dan is safe with me. I love Dan and would never do anything to harm him, though I understand if you have your concerns.”
“This is not how I thought our first day of school would go,” PJ mumbles.
“Do you guys wanna come over to ours?” Dan asks. “We can talk about it more there.”
“Wait, you two are living together? How do your parents feel about this?” Chris asks.
“They were a little hesitant at first but, like I said before, I’m an adult now. I’m married, and I want to live with my husband. I don’t want to live with my parents. That’s weird,” Dan says.
“I guess that’s understandable,” PJ replies with a shrug.
“Why don’t you guys come over for dinner? It’s taco night,” Phil grins.
“Taco night?” Chris asks, his ears perking up instantly. “Oh, hell yeah!” He high fives Dan.
PJ rolls his eyes. “I swear, you are literally the most easiest to please,” he says.
“And, that’s such a bad thing?” Chris asks, looking over at PJ with a smirk on his face.
“I’m leaving!” PJ exclaims before walking away while Chris bursts into laughter.
“Hey, our car is the other way!” Dan shouts before following PJ.
“Hey, wait for me!” Chris shouts as he quickly follows Dan and PJ.
Phil chuckles and shakes his head as he watches the three, “What am I getting myself into?”
Dan looks over at Phil and smiles at him. “You coming, Phil?” He asks.
“Yeah, wait for me,” Phil says as he catches up with the other three. He catches up to Dan, and smiles before leaning down and kissing him. “Did you have a good first day of school, Bear?”
“Mhm,” Dan nods. “I’m just excited for this year to be over with so we can be free from this hell.”
“It’s not that bad,” Phil chuckles. “But, I understand. I’m just excited for what the future will bring us.”
