tired of other awakening fans shitting on the valm arc constantly you people are the reason there are no fun filler episodes in tv shows anymore
#tactician's log#awakening#i mean like. it’s not quite filler but it’s also not NOT filler. but either way i’ve always thought it was cool!#we get to see how chrom and robin’s working relationship has grown after the timeskip and before everything gets serious with the grimleal#we get to see how robin’s confidence as a tactician has grown to the point where they can come up with wild unhinged plans and still win#we get to see chrom struggle more with balancing emmeryn’s legacy with his own ideals and figuring out what kind of king he wants to be#we get a cool tragic side plot with say’ri and yen’fay that parallels chrom and emmeryn in the first arc very nicely#i agree with the criticism that lucina is underutilized here. HOWEVER.#you’re probably going to be doing most of the paralogues during the valm arc so she’s in the middle of reassembling her own team#whatever man the point is awakening’s story is just not so complex that there isn’t room for a fun side arc like valm
