#we dont know about arthurs biological father that much but we still get the image that he was not a good one

ok I think being a father/older brother figure comes to Arthur very naturally. Under the dirty outlaw he cares and protects and he's not afraid to show it. He expresses his love for the gang multiple times and he even says it; "Nothing matters more to me than this gang...". For instance he's natural with Jack. He really cares about that boy and wants him to live his best life out. He also can comfort people easily. Especially women. He's soft and careful with women. For example Tilly and the girl he and Charles saved from the Murfree Brood. But he can be a strong example for them too. Like with Sadie and Charlotte.

But I also think that some of that comes from Hosea and his tactics of raising Arthur. Hosea too is a natural with Jack. He might be more strict or harsh but he too cares so much and wants a better life for Jack. And he's also very close with Lenny, one of the youngest gang members. Even though Arthur's loyalty lies with Dutch he himself had said that Hosea is more of a father to him.

Anyways part one of Brina entering Year Two on bruces bloggo (in bat world), storylines im keeping (pmuch everything), minor altercations to fit my already established canon (like two things), where shizzles are gonna go from here, etc, some things may change (primarily from planning and also waiting on @jokethur’s and @congregaticn’s viewing of said film for thangs) but this is a thing, heavy spoilers under the cut.

one of the main things is this did bring up pmuch all the stuff from telltale i actually liked, and without all the gross batjokes implications i constantly hate. Bruces parents backstories dont happen until midway near the end of the film, and we learn that Martha Kane is the heiress of the Arkham name and estate, or would be, if not for her constant trips to an asylum herself (which does make the alternate universe where thomas becomes a shitty version of batman, and martha becomes joker, make… a little bit more sense). As such, the movie implies she’s an only child, but in my canon bc I will not stand for Kate Kane erasure, she does have a brother who held the Kane name.

Prior to Arkham rebranding from Asylum to State Hospital, largely due to Martha’s lapses in self control, it ultimately was decided that Colonal Jacob Kane, would inherit the estate. Something he ultimately gave control over to their cousins (who still held the arkham name).

Jacob is still alive, and eventually provides intel to Kate and Bruce due to his work in the military. He does not have a strong relationship with Bruce due to Thomas not having a lot of trust in Martha’s family for what their parents did to her.

Bruce, being raised by Alfred primarily, but as much as he idolized Thomas, Thomas was in fact corrupt. Alfred believed Thomas just made a mistake involving Falcone, but Thomas, Falcone, and prior mayor Don Mitchell. He, in fact, was corrupt. Despite everything. All in all, what Falcone told Bruce was pretty much the one thing he didn’t lie about.

Falcone fully planned on trying to make Bruce be in the same boat as his father, but Alfred would never allow the man anywhere near him. While Falcone is not personally responsible for the Waynes deaths, he did instil the idea into Maroni’s head so Maroni would be inclined to kill them, when Thomas was prepared to pull out should he lose the election. Knowing Wayne was friends with Falcone, and Maroni would never get the chance, he made a plan; and upon knowledge that a few of his lackey’s were going to be at a protest in honor of The Joker, slipped a few ideas into their heads. Thus making Joe Chill, the lackey in full Joker makeup who shot Thomas and Martha, truly believe he did something for the world.

Beyond that, the man in the jailcell next to Riddler’s is not the original Joker, because that title belongs to Arthur Fleck— Bruce’s biological older brother. That, for my canon rn at least unless we wanna write something different, is Joe Chill. Driven to insanity and becoming obsessed with the image of Joker he believed in, and his workings with Maroni, he decided to become the man he idealized himself. His lock up is entirely due to Maroni’s incarceration, but they were never able to pin the murders of the Waynes on him.

Bruce is not an actual playboy, I’ve made that clear in my canon before, and while he’ll sometimes play into it to get people off his back, it’s kinda clear in this film that he’s never been in any sort of situation like that willingly. (Bruce, seeing Selina and falling in love at first sight)

The thing that made that rumor start in the first place was due to an older woman he knew back in one of his many colleges, who convinced him she could teach him things, and due to his lack of ability with socialization and dealing with others on a proper level, ultimately took advantage of him. He’s never been kissed, and beyond that time which he tries not to remember, never did anything beyond it. Selina got his first kiss 100%

The contacts that record everything he sees and does, he made midway through year one, when he decided his cowl couldn’t record enough of what he needed. Night vision is still built into the cowl, though, and when he needs it, it lowers to aid him.

The events of the film are what lead bruce into more philanthropy works: primarily due to the new mayor. He believes if he can take part in aiding Gotham financially, he can fix the mess he caused in his obsession with vengeance.

Falcone is not dead. The corrupt officers let it seem like his pulse died out, but when he was put into the car, he made them finish fixing his wound, and get taken away. Honestly this is bc falcone dies every two fucking days and he’s just baiting his time to come back, or let his ‘official’ daughter take control, which he’d subsequently take from her.

Also I’d like to note some casual similarities w Bruce and big bro J, bc i can;;;

neither one seemed to comprehend how following a girl home is fucking creepy. Selina might have fallen for him ultimately anyways, because she realized he doesn’t actually have a good understanding of weird and not weird, among other things. Plus he was ‘investigating’, and actively admitted to it. He also hadn’t shown interest yet. Chances are, she explains later.

They both have tinnitus, which is pretty fucking funny considering mr no guns has fucking bombs in his belt.

Both of their mothers were in and out of arkham and other wards, which is really sad but also thomas seems to have a type. Though if Bruce knew jack shit about Penny, he’d realize just how much Arthur could have used Martha in his life instead.

(Yes, he is still technically idolizing his mother. Blame went to his dad for what happened, not his mom.)

Yes, he injected himself with a steroid. It’s a steroid/painkiller he created, and is only testing on himself. He will not acknowledge any double standards.

Very love hate relationship with Alfred, but by the end he fully realizes Alfred is his dad, more so than Thomas, despite blood.

Eddie literally became the face of a movement Arthur didn’t even mean to start (bc ppl mistook absolutely every fucking thing he did), and i think it shows by the carnies dressed as J being the ones to go join in at the end there, not subtle at all reeves

Bruce is autistic, and his traits showed even moreso in this. The staring he gives off, intense focus on specifics, lack of relationship comprehension (in his case its actually due to lack of trying), he talks with his eyes but sometimes cant even look in others eyes. My boy is autistic and you cant take it away from me.
