#literally while trying to put my thoughts together on all of the tng movies i realized that first contact is like. by FAR my most hated.#i can’t stand it it makes me so fucking mad to even think about#but it’s the highest rated tng movie on letterboxd??!!?!????!?!??!????? WHAT DO YOU MEANNNNNNNNNN#n talks#well. i also hate generations. and nemesis. and insurrection the least but it’s still not good.#but like specifically i hate everything about the emotion chip in generations#but first contact just fucking . god. i can’t even form a coherent thought anymore it just makes me so mad#much like movie picard who is literally some other fucking guy. but whatever right. literally whatever. it’s whatever who cares whatever#we don’t need thematically resonant character arcs or consistency in characterization or even a plot that makes sense don’t worry about it
