#we could have had muffins and coffee in bed lol

*Daichi wished you didn’t have to get up and go to work on such a special day, so he was determined to do everything he could to make things easier and more relaxed for you. He wakes up and turns off your alarm, wanting you to get at least a few extra minutes of sleep.*
Don’t wake up momma, just yet. *He pats Molten on the head while going into the kitchen to feed the dog and his kitty sister. He starts the coffee maker and then gets to work making some homemade muffins, hoping you’d be in the mood for a small treat for breakfast.*
*He checks the time after the muffins are done and then heads to the bedroom, sitting on the side of your shared bed and kissing your cheek and then forehead.* Honey, time to wake up. *He brushes his knuckles over you face and pushes your hair behind your ear. When your eyes blink open, his lips pull into a big smile.* Good morning, bunny. Happy Birthday.
*He waits patiently for you to wake up fully, soothing any worry you might have about sleeping in.* You’ll be just fine, love. I’ll drive you to work myself after a muffin and some coffee.
*As you get ready, he goes back to the kitchen to take the cooled muffins out of the pan and prepare a mug of coffee just how you like it.* I know you have to go into work today, Jade, but I promise we’ll have a nice dinner when you get home tonight. I have some other surprises prepared for you too!
*He makes sure to lavish you in kisses and affection before taking you to work, doing everything he can think of to keep that smile he loves so much on your face.* I hope you have the best day possible, darling. I love you so much. Happy Birthday.
-Daichi♥
*The smell of something sweet and baked tickled my nose and I stir a little, slightly waking up. I’m half eager to know what’s that yummy smell but also wanting to have a couple more minutes of sleep before having to go into work. I chose the latter, settling more into bed to catch those few minutes. The kisses felt dreamlike for a moment until I hear the voice of my husband calling me awake and making my heart bloom in getting his affection first thing in the morning. I sigh in content and lean into his touch as he brushes my face, only pouting when he pulls away; mumbling to him not to go. Still a bit sleepy, I open my eyes and my lips grow into a smile as he smiles too* “Daichi, good morning to you to-oh!”
*I notice the sunlight streaming in and panic has my heart drop about being late to work. A little part of me (maybe a little devilish side) tells me since I’m late, I should just stay home. But I sigh in relief when Daichi assures me and promises to drive me to work, along with breakfast which makes me tilt my head a little, remembering that yummy baked smell* “Muffin and coffee? Did you bake me something, honey?”
*Adoration and excitement fills me but I wash up and get dress, thinking about how I’m gonna spend the morning with him even if it’s for the drive. It brightens my mood from earlier the night before but also because I just wanna spend as much time as I can on my birthday with him. I get a little sad thinking about being away at work for most of the day for my own birthday but I know once that’s done, I’ll be in Daichi’s arms for the rest of the day. I perk up when he comes back with his little surprise* “Honey! Oh these look so yummy! Thank you!” *I lean in to kiss him* “I know… Sucks that I gotta work today but I’m yours once I’m clocked out and outta that building. You’re making it hard to just go in, honestly. But I’ll be good and do my best” *I promise by wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him properly by slotting my lips over his and pouring all my love for him*
*I happily have my breakfast in the car as he takes me to work, sharing my breakfast with him and stealing kisses during stop lights. I don’t care if it was too early for other people to be all lovey dovey; it was my birthday and I was gonna steal as much kisses as I could before parting from my husband for a few hours. Even in the parking lot, I stole a few more kisses* “I will do my best. Don’t miss me too much?” *I joke with a giggle* “I love you too, honey. I’ll see you in just a few moments. Thank you for starting my birthday off with so much love. You’re my whole heart, Daichi Sawamura”
(thank you much for this lovely birthday surprise anon-chan! this really made my morning and gosh does it make my heart flutter. thank you thank you!)
#just wanted to stay in bed and cuddle him#we could have had muffins and coffee in bed lol#is okay now cuz i just cuddle him the rest of the day#lovely daichi ♥️#for my birthday

Al\Hank coffee shop AU- Chapter 2\4
Notes: I changed the title of this fic if anyone noticed lol, I just thought this one fit a bit better.
Enjoy!
A few days later Al arrived at A Cup of Joy as per his routine. Hank had been off the day before and Al had forgotten until he arrived. Trudy had teased him while taking his order, for “sulking” which Alvin protested he wasn’t doing.
But he was smiling as he entered the shop that morning and saw Hank behind the counter talking with another barista. Hank stopped however when he saw Al, and smiled as the younger man came behind the counter.
“Trudy said you missed me yesterday?” Hank teased as he handed Al his already made coffee and turned to grab him his muffin.
“Shut up”. Al grumbled as he handed Hank the money and started sipping his coffee.
Hank only chuckled as he checked to make sure there were no more customers before facing Al again.
“Are you free tomorrow?” Hank asked and Al frowned as he mentally checked his schedule.
“I think so. Why?”
“It’s Justin’s third birthday tomorrow and we are going to the zoo and he was wondering if “Mr. Al” could come?” Hank asked and Al couldn’t help but smile.
He’d only met the kid a few times but each time he loved it. Justin was such a fun kid to be around and he seemed to think Al was the coolest person around.
“I’d love to. But only if you want me there, Hank. I wouldn’t want to intrude on your time with your son”. Al replied. He would love to come but he didn’t want to impose. Al hated to feel like a burden in any way.
“I wouldn’t have invited you if I didn’t want you there, Alvin”. Hank said sternly as another customer walked in.
“Alright, alright. I’ll come”. Al finally gave in and Hank gave a satisfied nod as he greeted the other customer.
“Will pick you up at nine tomorrow morning then”. Hank said as Al grabbed his coffee and muffin and stepped away from the counter and towards the door.
“I’ll see you then”. Al left then taking the short walk back home. He had two dogs to walk that day but even while doing that, Al’s mind couldn’t help but wander back to the earlier discussion with Hank and tomorrow’s plans.
That evening Al went out and bought a dinosaur book and a dinosaur stuffed animal and got both ready to give to Justin the next morning. He couldn’t just show up empty handed and Al knew that Justin’s favorite thing right now was dinosaurs and according to Hank had been for a while. Al smiled as he got ready for bed looking forward to the day ahead.
Al made his own coffee the next morning and went out on his small balcony to drink it while waiting for Hank and Justin to arrive. He still had an hour before they’d be there and Al couldn’t say he wasn’t excited.
He felt flattered that Justin wanted him to come to what was clearly a family birthday celebration. Al was also thrilled at the prospect of spending the day with Hank. Despite his best attempt not to, Al had developed a crush on Hank somewhere in the last couple months of them getting to know each other.
Only Al’s luck he’d develop a most likely one sided, crush on a widowed and still grieving man with a young child.
Al just sighed as he checked his watch again and looked at the view from his apartment.
Right at nine, Al saw Hank’s car pull up from his apartment complex from his balcony. Al headed back inside and after grabbing his sweatshirt and Justin’s gift, was heading towards Hank’s car.
Al set the present in Hank’s trunk for later before getting into the passenger seat.
“Hey”. Hank greeted as he turned towards Al as soon as Al had buckled his seatbelt and got settled.
“Hey. Happy Birthday, Justin”. Al said with a smile as he turned around to look at the young child in his carseat.
“Mr. Al, you're here!” Justin exclaimed and Al smiled at him as Hank began driving.
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world, kid”. Al replied, causing Justin to giggle as he smiled.
“Daddy said we get donuts!” Justin was clearly excited and Al gave a small wince at the volume of his voice but he wasn’t going to tell the clearly happy child to tone it down.
“Did he now?” Al teased as he turned back to face Hank who just smirked.
“You like donuts, Al?” Hank asked as he pulled up outside a donut shop Al didn’t recognize. Though he hadn’t been in Chicago long and there were still a lot of places Al had yet to go.
“Don’t ask stupid questions, Hank”. Al joked back as they all got out of the car and headed inside.
This felt natural to Al. Being here with Hank and Justin doing something like celebrating Justin’s birthday, buying Justin a present, getting donuts for breakfast and spending the day together like they’d done this for years and not that this was only the third or fourth time Al saw Justin. Though Hank talked about him so much it felt much more than that.
The day was nice. One of the best Al had in a long time. For the first time in a while he felt thankful he hadn’t died that day seven months ago. Despite months of therapy and the slow road to healing, this was the first time Al actually felt glad to be alive.
By the end of the day the three of them decided to stop at a nearby pizza shop. Justin was exhausted from the day of walking at the zoo, and was asleep halfway through his slice of pizza leaving Al and Hank to talk.
They’d been talking about the hockey game that was on the night before, when Hank’s phone rang. Hank stood up heading outside to answer while Al stayed back finishing up his pizza and watching over a still sleeping Justin.
When Hank got back, Al instantly noticed the change in him. Hank was quieter and barely paid Al any attention as he paid and picked up his son before turning towards Al again.
“We should get going”. Hank stated not giving Al anytime to say anything before he was leaving. Al followed and the drive back to Al’s apartment was silent.
For the first time since they’d met, there was tension and Al was wracking his brain trying to figure out who the hell would have called Hank to cause this change in him.
Once at his apartment complex, Al got out, thanked Hank and then headed inside. He wanted to push but he didn’t want to cross any of Hank's boundaries and lose the one true friend he had.
That night, as Al laid in bed, he could only hope that this wouldn’t ruin the fragile friendship they had started. He didn’t think he could handle losing Hank or Justin for that matter this soon. He just couldn’t.

so, you’ve wooed an immortal
summary: you need to get rid of the gluten in your home despite actively making more. douxie makes assumptions. established friendship ajsksgd
word count: short and sweet
a/n: i’ve been playing stardew again. gift based courting system. and also changed my diet in an attempt to help with my chronic illness. anyhow. hope there’s at least one of you who relates (and thus like this silly little fic lol)
taglist: @moppetwithamanbun @alovesongshewrote @blixeon @prismarts @transformers-insanity @fantasyiswaybetterthanreality @ukuleles-and-roses @faraum
douxie looked into the cheery visage of the strawberries decorating the top of the cake you had just plopped onto his coffee table. shiny little candied rubies making up a circle like a strawberry henge. the red was contrasting nicely from the white of the frosting.
he. already had a cake in his kitchenette. and some sweet rolls. and a tart. two loaves. a basket of muffins. he did Not need another cake.
“do you not like strawberries, doux?” you asked.
he realized he had been staring into this cake a little too intensely.
“oh no. they’re great. but.”
“but?”
“don’t you think this is overkill, darling?”
you grinned sheepishly, “ah-“
“it’s so sweet that you’re doing this. but i think you can stop now. i have enough. the pantry is full. slow down on the courting gifts? if only a wee bit, love.”
you stared at him. bewildered. douxie felt the need to reassure you further,
“i’ll still marry you, i promise. you can rest.”
you flushed. from the sweetness of his words, from the embarrassment, from the fact that you have caused this misunderstanding, whichever. the summer heat must be getting to you. that’s it. your skin felt hot under the palm you raised to cover your mouth.
“oh my god? I- oh my god…” you didn’t know where to start.
confusion began to seep into douxie’s features.
“uh. so!” you clapped your hands together, pointed to the ground.
“i’ve recently gone gluten-free?”
douxie didn’t track.
“uh so i’ve been baking as a way to keep my mind off things? like stress relief? but i needed to get rid of the food.”
“… oooohh”
“yeah,” you scraped a hand down the back of your neck, “so i’ve just. been giving it to you?”
you heard him take a sharp breath in. damn.
“i’m soooo sorry. i- i wouldn’t have done it if i had known you would’ve thought…” you tried your best to reassure.
“NO NO it’s okay! it’s okay! that’s my fault for assuming! uh. thank you for the gifts, y/n,”
douxie wanted to go find a hole to die in. he’ll have to settle for burying himself in the blankets on his bed. and screaming. gotta get you out of here first.
“THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PASSING BY Y/N COME AGAIN ANYTIME MATE I LOVE TO SEE YOU AROUND,”
he shepherded you towards his door. the smile that pulled tight the corners of his mouth was so fake. and panicked. oh god what have you done.
“N-NOT THAT I WOULDNT LIKE TO MARRY YOU. I-“ you turned around as fast as you could, slamming your foot into the space between the door and the wall. while he was swinging the door shut. yeouch! might need to go to hospital later.
“FUZZBUCKETS ARE YOU ALRIGHT?”
“YEAH I JUST,” you looked into the bookshop behind you, half expecting there to be an audience since it was during business hours, “we need to go back in to have this conversation.”
you pushed him back. he let you. your hands didn’t leave his shoulders once the door was closed behind you, however.
douxie’s hazel eyes were very, very wide with apprehension. he let you hands trail up to his face. you cupped his pink cheeks, gentle at first, then almost squishing him.
“you!”
“me?”
you chuckled, “god, hisirdoux. you’ve already decided you’re ready to get married?”
“um” he couldn’t tell if you were rejecting him right now or…
“i haven’t even asked you out yet. haven’t even held your hand,” you continued into a giggle, giving his face another squish for good measure, “don’t get me wrong, that’s So Sweet.”
he pulled your hands off his cheeks so he could talk,
“well, forgive me. that how it used to be done for… an unspecified amount of time in the past because i wasn’t really paying attention to romance back then.”
“hmmm. guess i gotta follow through then. rules are rules after all,”
“wait? really?” he leaned closer into your personal space.
“of course. my dearest fiancé,” you glanced at his lips, “but. i don’t want our first kiss to be our wedding day? is that okay?”
he pulled your hand into his own, bringing it up in between y’all.
“yes. i think that needn’t be necessary,”
he pressed your hand to his lips reverently. featherlight, and his warmth stayed long after he raised his head back up to look into your eyes.
“how was that?
you burst into a fit of giggles. that was the cutest thing you’d ever seen him do. so far. you’ve got a lot of lifetime left.
“not what i meant. but that was perfect.”
douxie pretended to play innocent “oh, i wonder whatever could you have meant then-“
you pulled him in by the collar of his shirt.
he was a little eager, energetic. not the perfect slow melty first kiss but hey. he’s in love. and too excited.
he tasted very sweet. probably all the sugar you’ve been stocking his kitchen with. you’ll have to find a new stress relief hobby. maybe knitting? or. actually kissing could work. yep.
you could get used to this.

prompt ─ "i wish i could tell you what you are to me."
requested by ─ anonymous. thank you so much for sending it in! i diverged a little bit from the concept you send in, but i hope you still like this :). I've never written anything brothers!bestfriend and the ending is kinda odd so i hope this gets a pass grade at this point lol.
tw ─ college!matt, kinda brothers!bestfriend x fem!reader, idiots in love, kinda ambiguous ending.
words ─ 1K.
It wasn't supposed to happen.
It was one of those 'star-crossed lovers' situations. One of those 'it shouldn't have happened but still it did and now I can't forget about it'.
It was move-in day at Columbia and though you went to another university in the city, you decided to take advantage of the opportunity to see your brother one last time before the both of you were too busy with university.
You were carrying a semi-heavy box marked with 'shoes, left'. You didn't know if this meant that you were supposed to put the box on the left or if this box only contained the left shoe of the pair. You hoped he had another box with 'shoes, right' if the latter were the case.
Your brother wasn't in his dorm room when you finally made it up the three flights of stairs. You could've gotten into the elevator, but you didn't want to occupy it in the case anyone needed it. And walking up stairs is also good for your ass, so you heard.
There were two other guys in the dorm though, one with long blond hair who was hanging up a few metal-band posters and another one with floppy brown hair, a pair of dark glasses perched on his nose.
The blond one kept blabbering on about how fun their semester would be and how many parties they'd go to. The brunette should be lucky he said, cause he knew some people who organized the best parties.
The brunette had turned his head when you entered the room though, a small smile immediately present.
"Think you're in the wrong building," he said, his brows raised, a small smile suppressing a much bigger one. "The girls' dorms are on the other wing, but you're always welcome to stay."
"This is room 312, right?" you said, ignoring the flirty comment made by your brother's future roommate.
"Yeah," the blond now interjected, scanning your face he tried to make sense of your presence in the boys' dorms. "Wait, you very much look like our new roommate, any chance you're related?"
"Ah at least someone who's thinking," you chuckled and put down the box of shoes on the left side of the dorm, next to an empty bed. "But yes, we're siblings."
"Well, I'm Foggy and this is Matt," Foggy said as he jumped down from his bed. "Are you going to Columbia too?"
"No, NYU, just helping my brother move in before we lose track of each other."
"How'd you know I was a girl though, I'm not wearing heels or any floral perfume," you asked Matt, a bit confused as to how he even heard you coming in with Foggy blabbering about.
"Call it intuition," he just smirked, hiding the gleam in his eyes behind the rectangular glasses.
"You are freaky, my dude," Foggy clasped Matt's shoulder as your brother entered the room with another box.
"Why are you talking about freaky stuff already with my sister," your brother looked around the room, trying to guess what kind of conversation he had rolled into.
"Don't worry about it," Matt smiled at him, hoping this wouldn't be the last he saw of you.
Over the course of undergrad, you saw more of the guys from dorm room 312 than you ever expected.
Foggy had extended a few party invitations to you and your friends too, after realizing how every party seemed to liven up wit your presence.
The addition of a handsome law student that seemed to flirt with you at any given moment was just a cherry on the cake.
You grew incredibly close to Matt. At least once a week, you met up for coffee or he'd swing by on your student job to get a muffin and get some studying done when the hours were slow.
But, even after those fours years of growing to each other like trees growing together in a forest, it still felt like your branches were just inches away from his, just inches away from something you both so badly wanted.
And then after three summers together, there was a point of diversion. The point both of you were quietly dreading, silently avoiding as it kept creeping closer to you.
You had been accepted into an internship position of your dreams, but it also meant saying goodbye for the city, even if it was just for a few months. It means saying goodbye to the person that made the city finally feel like home.
The only sounds in your apartment were the scratching of tape being pulled off the roll and onto your moving boxes. Your whole life in the city, packed up neatly in a few boxes. How surreal could it feel?
Then there was a knock on your door that disturbed the eerie quiet in your apartment.
And it was Matt. Of course it was him. He was a little out of breath from speedily walking through the city, a light blush on his cheeks as he folded his cane when you opened the door for him.
He didn't even need his cane anymore to walk around the apartment. That was how frequently he came over.
He hugged you without saying anything, his palms flattened against your back as he tried to convey everything he felt into the hug, his feelings on the tip of his tongue.
"I wish I could tell you what you are to me," he whispered against your neck. "But I'll tell you when you come back."
"Why not now," you sniffled, knowing the answer but still feeling your heart slowly tearing at the seams.
"You've worked so hard for this," he pulled back, his browns eyes no longer hidden behind the black frames you'd grown to love. "And when you're back, we can work hard on whatever this is."
"You're too good Matt, and too selfless and too good for this world," you wiped away at a tear that rolled down his cheek. "We'll see each other in a few months then."
"It's a promise," he nodded. "I'll be here, waiting for you."
"And I already can't wait to come back."
A promise made, you left for your internship and leaving Matt on the curb of your apartment as he tried his best not to start counting down the days.

Silent treatment - Din Djarin & Javier Peña. || Preference #1.
Summary: Just a little preference/head cannon on a snipet with Din and Javier dealing with the silent treatment. Enjoy!
Warnings/Content: none but pettiness lol
Din Djarin
Din is more of the intervert type, he likes the quiet. The shift of light to dark, nothing is more relaxing then the stars that reflect off the 'T' of his visor in complete silence.
While you understand he likes it, you tend not to talk too much, which can be difficult but you find yourself falling into comfortable silence against the mandalorian's chest more than you like to admit.
Quietness was the normal between the clan often because of the excitement that came when they were off the ship, blasters, yelling, threatening was no existent.
The Razor Crest resembled a place of peace, a place where skins real skin can press against your own without worry, he can remove the helmet in the dark to kiss you, kiss promises against your skin, a safe haven.
It would take Din longer than he would like to admit to realize you're not speaking to him, it takes almost hours to realize something is wrong.
There were hints of it, your nose turning up when he entered the cockpit, the small huffs, you avoid his gaze a presence at all times. You would even speak the child with the sweet voice but the moment he walks into the room you're silent.
Finally he's had enough, leaning against the door frame of the cockpit, you in the co-pilot seat with the child, the child holding the ball to show you for the millionth time his favorite toy. You smile sweetly at him, fingers pressing against his ears, rubbing the petals with a coo. The other hand holds out a small chunk of fruit, "Take one bite for me."
The child declines with a whine, making you huff. "C'mon buddy, you can play with the ball later." It's useless.
He clears his throat, crossing his arms over his chest. He stands unsure, hands nervously shaking as he fears the worst. You want to leave. "Is....Is something wrong?"
There's no answer, like he hasn't even said anything just the small gaze that meets him with a grimace. Again, the child distracts you instead. His heart pounds with anticipation as his chest falters.
This makes him frown, muscles straining as he grits his teeth nervously. "Hello?"
The thick tension that fills the air makes it almost impossible to breath for the pair, both are fearful, it's a new relationship, mistakes were still to be made. It pollutes the air with a sickly feeling.
Not only was the Mandalorian surprised, he was frustrated. You can see it in the way he tenses, fingers shake but not in the way his skin turned red under all the armour, that was for him to feel the heat run up his back and blush his neck.
He clearly didn't like the way you responded, long strides until he's between your legs. He stands tall, towering over your sitting figure. Intimidating with his large shoulders, the metal points of his helmet staring down at you. His fingers find your chin, gripping to finally feel your eyes but his words are gentle, pleading. "Tell me.. what is wrong?"
When you don't speak he does, "Cyar'ika, sweet girl if something is wrong you need to tell me."
"You're an idiot." He finds humor in the words, a chuckle tightening his chest.
"Care to elaborate? You say that a lot." Gloved fingers move up your jaw, fingers press against the soft spot in the back of your ear, apply just enough pressure to make it comforting.
"It's not funny. I'm mad at you." Your face was serious, lips pursing with a slight frown. This makes Din sigh, he kneels down until he's at your height still in-between your legs.
"I'm not laughing, I'm sorry. Tell me."
Your words make his heart pound, tears starting to stings eyes, the glossing over makes him worried. "You just jumped into the Krpt Dragon without a worry. You didn't think about me or the child. You don't care if you die.. but I do."
"I do care... You and the child are the only two people I care for." He disagrees, the cool basker pressing against your collarbone, leaning against your body. "I would do anything for you two."
"I know that... But you cannot be risking your life for people like this. I know you like to help but it's too much to loose." You pause, "I can't take it, the thought of loosing you."
The words make him pause. Throughout his life Din has heard a lot of things these words were yours and yours alone. They make him nervous, his breath hitches, he doesn't know how to feel. He's never had to think about this before.. he's was like but now he has a girl, a family waiting for him.
"I-Im sorry." It's uncharacteristic, they way he lifts his helmet just enough to press a soft kiss against your shoulder, another one to your neck before pressing against your lips for one final one, he words whispered against lips. "I never thought about it like that before, forgive me.. I don't want you to worry."
"Well I can't help it." You sniff, a lazy smile at his warmth but his helmet drops back down as you catch of glimpse of blushed lips.
"I'm sorry. I'm not alone anymore, I forget." His arms wrap around your waist pulling you as close as the child on your lap will allow, the basker clad chest should be uncomfortable, cold but it's the exact opposite, warm and safe. "Forgive me Cyare."
"I can never stay mad at you." The words are breathlessly murmured against the small patch of skin on his neck, the spot where you would often pull down in the collar of his tunic to feel his skin. "I love you Bear."
"I love you sweet girl."
Javier Peña
Javier Peña's life is anything but boring, it's filled with chaos, long nights, alcohol and woman of any kind. The woman is where the problem was, no matter how much you told him it bothered you, that it should be more than just sex, he made sure it didn't.
It was pure raging hot jealousy that seared inside your veins, it crept warmth up the nape of your neck, fist ball under the table of the bar. Murphy must have noticed how violently you are chewing on your bottom lip, eyeing the pair across the bar. "You alright?"
"Fine." You snap rather quickly, eyes growing wide in realization. "Sorry Murph, I'm fine."
His eyes show it all, head tilting with an unamused look. "You don't have to lie to me."
"I'm not I'm just tired." And jealous, so, so jealous that Javier's lips press against the brunettes collar bones, flash of pink as his tongue rolls against her neck, pressing his weight against her.
You knew it was just sex, Javi made sure to let you know despite working together nothing would change, it was just sex , a stress reliever with someone who understood the faults of working for the DEA, the struggles that went with it. Except now it was more, it was those nights with next to each other naked in bed, the kisses, hugs, cute nicknames and the long talks of promises, potential future but now it seems you were never part of it.
He acted as if he were your boyfriend, he often made dinner for you, picking up a coffee before heading into the office for you every morning, he gave you gifts, his main reasoning being "It reminds me of you."
Javier was confusing, late at night after a long day he would confess his affection for you, even let it slip a few times that he loves you, swears you are his other half, his soulmate. Of course it's when he's drunk but you hold onto it being the truth he's afraid to admit.
Javier doesn't notice you leaving that night, he doesn't notice Murphy offering to walk you home, assure you get their safely despite it being right next to his own.
The next morning you decide to go into work a little earlier, hoping your sleepless night filled with tears would be worth it. At least it took your mind off it.
It was like clock work, Javier placing the large coffee cup in front of you on your desk, this time some kind of pastry is next to it, tucked in a wax bag and a kiss presses against your cheek. "Good morning Hermosa."
The silence is uncharacteristic, very seeing he literally has to beg you to shutup sometimes. His face twist into confusion as you pull away from his lips, but the mark still burns against your cheek. The same lips that you know for a fact were all over another woman's body last night.
"What's wrong?" He notices as Murphy shakes his head with a huff, clearly annoyed with his friends ignorance. Javi's eyes drift from his with shrugging shoulders to yours with a look of surprise. "What?"
"I'm going to bring these down to Lopez, meet you in a half an hour downstairs Murph." Your words make Javier's brows flur, why?
The coffee is left, along with the muffin. He sits down at his own desk, leaning over to grab it, he starts to pull it apart, pick at it with ever intent to eat it but suddenly doesn't feel hungry.
"What's her problem?"
"Really Javi? What's her problem?" The words make Javi's jaw clench, he doesn't much care for his friends tone as he speaks. "You're an idiot, you hurt her feelings."
"I didn't do anything! I even got her a muffin today, it's blueberry her favorite!" Javi feels nervous, in all the time he's known you this had never happened; intentionally ignoring him.
"you didn't do anything?" Murphy stands, Javier guesses it's to meet you. "You invited her out last night and then ignored her to fuck a girl in front of her."
"I didn't fuck her, all we did was kiss." Javi hisses back, rubbing over his face with a growl. "Besides we agreed it was just hooking up.'
"Well it doesn't seem to be for her anymore, you need to apologise. She was crying to whole way I walked her home."
"She.. She walked home?" The words sit deep in his gut, squeezing his chest with a soft sigh. No matter how much he tried to help it, all the alochol and woman could distract him from how he feels for you, even when he tries to hide it. His words faulter, "Why didn't you just tell me? I would have walked her home, when I came back you both were gone."
"She didn't want to speak with you, I made sure she got home safe. If it was any of your concern."
The words were sour, a dig that made Javier growl. Of course it was his concern, even thought he promised to never admit it, he cared for you in a way he never has for another person.
Sure he almost got married, had plenty of girlfriends but it wasn't like this. Nothing compared to the feeling of having you close at night, waking up next to you. Javier's fingers shakily reach for a cigarette, watching Murphy slip out of the main office with a huff.
As time went on, Javier couldn't get out of his own head, while they agreed that it was strictly just a way to relieve stress it was also a habit by now.
The nights spent back and forth at each other's houses, the particularly rough days were together, holding each other close.
When he found himself down you were always there, comforting him, making sure he eats telling him that alochol and cigarettes are not a meal, even going as far as making meals for him. Call him selfish, but he didn't want it to end.
The moment he heard that the next group was heading out over the intercom he was up, he knew Murphy and you were going to it, he be dammed if he would ever let you go anywhere near action without him.
You would be fine.. eventually. You give a small smile of reinsurance to Murphy as he slides into the car next to you, but both of your faces drop the moment Javi opens the door, clearing his throat with a nod of acknowledgment.
"Javi.. I thought you weren't on this one?" Murphy questions, rubbing over his face as your eyes narrow at Javier's which are already on you.
"Change of plans." It's gruff, sharp as his narrow back. "Want to tell me what's wrong sweetheart?"
He's only met with more silence, your arms wrapping across your chest as you lean into the seat, eyes roaming over the different shades of green head resting across the glass. It was going to be a long ride.
"Why are you acting like a brat?" It's a dig, he's trying to break this silence, the only way he can think of is to piss you off. "You're acting like a baby."
You bite the inside of your cheek, fighting the words turning your head to look at him, then to Steve who looks the other way, deciding now was the perfect time to mind his own business.
Javier obviously doesn't get what the silent treatment is, he shifts, leaning against the seat, spreading his legs to give you the perfect view of his legs, his thighs. There's a small smirk, cocky as his hands run across his inner thigh. "Come talk to me."
It's an invitation one that makes your blood boil, you can't help the words that fall past your lips. "Go ask that girl from the bar, you pig."
"Mmhmm." He mumbles, eyes flickering with that stupid knowing smirk. "You're mad about that mija? I thought we agreed it was no commitments besides I didn't fuck her."
The car comes to a holt, quick you and Steve tumbling towards the seats across where Javier sits, Murphy catches himself hand extending to the seat belt while you find yourself heading toward the window but fingertips softly grapsing your hips stop you, pulling you into a familiar chest.
Steve mumbles something about 'getting to work' and you two being 'ridiculous already' before opening the car door and shutting it.
You're about to follow him by pushing against Javier's chest but his grip never falters. "Relax." He mewls, lips pressing against your neck. "You know you're my girl, my Hermosa."
"I bet you said the same thing to her before you fucked her."
It's a sigh, breathlessly and exaggerated. "I told you I didn't fuck her. We only kissed."
"You could have kissed me." There was no use in struggling, but you managed to keep distance. Cold eyes on his own.
His hand presses against your chin, thumb on the sharpest angle trying to bring his lips to your own, his apology but you move your head to the side.
"I don't think we should do this anymore.." you eyes don't meet his, adverting as all cost. His jaw drops, resembling a fish out of water as it closes, opens to say something but closes against deep in thought as he hears his heart beat in his ears.
His heart stuttering at the words, chest heavy, crushing as he held in a breath. "N-No, I mean it. You're my girl, I'm sorry. You know how I feel about you."
The words sit on the tip of his tongue, his eyes shoot over to Murphy with a group of other officers talking tactics but suddenly he doesn't care about that anymore only the fact his own heart was breaking inside his chest.
"I can share you anymore. I can't do this to myself."
"I'm yours, I-I won't -." He can't seem to say the words, they choke up in his throat, eyes show his internal panic his heart against his mind, Javi didn't commit, this life style didn't allow it.
But when your fingers find the handle, trying to leave the close proximity of the car he knew he'd loose your forever. "I'll stop sleeping around, I'll stop all of it. Only me and you."
Eyes test him, even like this, large bags, no make up you looked beautiful. You're unsure letting out a deep breath, it wasn't looking good. "Please, I need you. You can't just go.."
"You get one chance Javi, one slip up and I'm not putting myself through this." He lets out a sigh of relief heart claiming down for the anticipation but before he could manage another word you open the door, stepping outside. "You coming Agent Peña? I believe you have a dinner to take me to later, since you're officially making me your girlfriend and all. I rather get this over with." Javi smiles, shaking his head as he rolls his eyes at your playfulness.

Ok, this is my last request, I swear and scout's honor...I'm sorry for bothering you and being annoying, please forgive me!
Uhm...how about a fic or headcanons on Monoma with a female s/o who's short (as in, 4' 11"...I think our boy is 5' 7", but I could be wrong) and is a coffee-addict, and it gets to a point where Monoma's worried for her addiction and health, so he tries to keep it away from her for a few days, please? He can also like, tease her about it and play the height bully since she's a shrimp compared to him when she tries to get her coffee back?
Like last time, I don't mind if what you write is sfw or nsfw. I just need more blonde copycat boi in my life, lol! Thank you! 😊 I hope you have a good day/night/weekend!
I’M SO HAPPY YOU CAME BACK!!! Don’t ever feel like your annoying, i love hearing from you.
It took me a bit to make this, sorry about that. Hope you enjoy!

W: Mentions of NSFW, Monoma Being Absolutely in Love With You
TW: Vomit, Addiction
Monoma’s favorite thing to do each morning is to wake up to your beautiful face. You always tell him that it isn’t but he gladly disagrees with you because you’re wrong. He would watch you sleep for a few minutes, hours if the day before was truly exhausting for you, and just sigh like the lovesick fool he was. That peace becoming disrupted when the alarm in his phone would go off indicating the beginning of the weekday.
“My love, wake up.” Monoma leaned down to shower you with kisses, even as you swatted him away with your hand. The attempts that were made to cover yourself with the blanket didn’t stop him from attacking you with hugs. Warm and inviting rest but quickly changing to panic as he lifted you from the bed and walked out to the common area blanket included. Your other classmates were already up doing their usual morning routines. They found your relationship with Monoma adorable, concerning but adorable. The way Monoma brags about you and your achievement was sickening.
“Nei! Put me down, please. I was comfortable and warm.” Monoma laughed at the whining and placed you down on the couch.
“No can do my love. You need fuel in that body of yours. A healthy meal makes a healthy body. A healthy body makes a healthy mind.” You rolled your eyes at your boyfriends’ poetic speech and made yourself comfortable on the couch, laying down and covering yourself again with the blanket he wrapped you in.
“What do want for breakfast, my love?”
“Give me coffee, no sugar. If there are any muffins, give me one please.” Monomas posture deflated a little to the request.
“Coffee, again?” He questioned. You nodded your head and drifted back to sleep. The rest of the class watched as Monoma begrudgingly made the coffee you requested. The entire time he was mumbling something under his breath, something about how you loved the tar drink more than him.
You thanked him once he handed over your drink while Monoma sat down next to you with his meal. He leaned into you and ate in peace. He kept grumbling from time to time and chewed violently when he took another bite.
“Monoma? What are you doing?” You asked him.
“Nothing.” Was his only response before continuing to shovel food into his mouth. Once finished, he took your empty cup and his plate to the sink to wash. You on the other hand had other plans.
“Neito, I’m going out. I’ll see you later.” Monoma said goodbye to you and let you go. He knew what you were planning on doing and he wasn’t happy about it. Honestly, it was ridiculous how much you seemed to depend on it. It was the weekend, so there was no harm in leaving campus.
You got dressed back in your dorm room and said your goodbyes to your classmates who were still in the common area. As you headed into the city you went straight to your favorite shop. It was a small business run by a college kid who had too much money and too much time to burn. You weren’t about to complain, the coffee was good and the environment was pleasant to be in. Once there you ordered your usual coffee variant and sat down to enjoy it, not being aware that you were being watched the entire time.
Monoma was fuming. Another cup of coffee right away? You just drank your first a few minutes ago, why would you need another one? It wasn’t like you didn’t work hard, that wasn’t the problem. You were dedicated to training and your relationship with him. He understands that he could be a hassle sometimes and he’s very grateful for the opportunity to be with you, but this was just ridiculous. He didn’t want to destroy your piece but it had to be done.
“Y/n, what are you doing?” You turned towards the voice and watched as your boyfriend walked up to you. He was marching, an interesting choice but he was him so it wasn’t out of character.
“Hi, Nei is there a problem? Also, why did you follow me?” You asked amused. Monoma didn’t bother to sit down once he was next to you instead, he opted to bend down to look at you. He wasn’t happy.
“I followed you to see if you were going to buy another cup of coffee. Do you want to guess what happened Y/n? Hmm?” You giggled at him and took a sip from your drink.
“I bought coffee.”
“Yes, you bought coffee!” The other customers in the shop turned to look at the scene Monoma was making and the sudden attention filled you with embarrassment. You didn’t think Monoma would make a huge deal out of something so meaningless.
“Nei, cut it out!” You whisper yelled at him. You tried pulling him down so he would sit, instead, Monoma grabbed your cup and your hand. He dragged you out of the shop and walk with you to the train station.
“Where are we going now?” Monoma didn’t bother to respond to you. He just stared ahead of him and kept your coffee cup away from you. Once the train arrived he practically picked you up and took you inside. It was a bit empty so he was able to find seats for the both of you, he wrapped an arm around you as he kept the cup in between his legs and out of your reach. He pulled you up once you got to the correct stop and took you to the entrance of the mall.
“Whats this Nei? A last-minute date?” You teased. Monomas face flushed and just ignored your stare.
“We haven’t gone on a date in some time-”
“We had one yesterday.”
“So I thought that this would be nice and I also get to spoil you, so don’t complain.” He took your hand and brought you inside.
It was bustling with life. People walking around looking for things that they need and buying others that they don’t. It was a pleasant scene yet your body would disagree with you. The throbbing that you felt in the front part of your skull wasn’t pleasant but it was constant. It’s been like this for a few weeks. You read that coffee could help with easing it, something about it probably the throbbing being due to some visual exposure. Monoma had taken your drink so that was no longer an option. Knowing him, he probably takes a small sip and then spits it out while berating you on how your taste buds must be dead if you didn’t react as he did.
“So where to?” You asked him. Monoma laced his hand with yours and walked you to a clothing store. He looked at different articles of clothing and asked for your input. Most of the things he picked out were simple in design or minimalist, nothing that needed consideration. Yet he asked and you being the ever caring girlfriend gave some input.
“This would look nice with um, with some light blue jeans” The throbbing in your head was beginning to get worse and it wasn’t helping that the bright light within the store was the only thing to look at. It was too much for you.
“Hey, Monoma. I need to go to the bathroom, ok?” You left Monoma in the middle of the store as he just watched you go. He spoke to you but you couldn’t hear him.
He had tried reaching for you but you were already too far for him to grab. Monoma. You called him by his last name instead of his first. In the times that you both have had arguments, you always called him by his first name no matter what the situation was. You’ve been acting odd for some time and it was worrying him. He was aware that you drank more than the recommended when it came to coffee, so it wasn’t surprising that you felt ill. Monoma was no stranger to bad habits, he was being too clingy and overly competitive. You reassured him that he wasn’t clingy and that you found it endearing more than anything. Regarding the competitiveness, he could tone it down a little bit when it came to arguing with the other hero course. He felt like he was annoying to you and that you only started dating him because you felt pity for him after he fell on his face as he was running up to you. His nose was bleeding but that didn’t stop you from kissing him on the lips and accepting his date offer. He loved you, he’s known this since his first year. Seeing you sick was upsetting, he felt like a lost boyfriend for not helping you. He tried, he hides the coffee grounds, he hides your wallet sometimes and even started having you sleep in his dorm to ensure you slept.
Monoma waited outside of the store for a moment, waiting to see if you would come back once you were done in the bathroom. You never came back which lead to him going towards the bathrooms. He was met with a line of women waiting for the bathroom and a few people waiting outside of the all gendered bathroom.
“Hello. I’m sorry to interrupt you but did you by any chance see a woman who looked ill come by here?” The person turned around to look at Monoma.
“Was it someone with h/o hair?” Monoma nodded his head and the stranger pointed at one of the bathrooms that were occupied. Monoma thanked them and knocked on the door gently.
”Y/n. It’s me, are you ok?” You tried answering but the sound of gagging and something liquid hitting the toilet was indicating that you wouldn’t answer him. Monoma quickly asked around to see who had a quirk that allowed him to help you. He found someone whose quirk allowed them to change their fingers into any key, interesting quirk, and he opened the bathroom door. When he closed it he saw you slumped over the toilet throwing up.
“Nei- I can’t- breath.” You hiccuped. Monoma pulled your hair back and rubbed your back in a soothing motion.
“It’s ok, I’m here.” You continued to throw up everything in your stomach. Almost everything that came up was liquid and smelled heavily of stomach acid with a touch of coffee. Monoma watched in horror as you emptied yourself. He felt useless. He couldn’t do anything other than making sure that your clothes stayed clean.
“Y/n, let me take you back to the dorms. You need to get checked by Recovery Girl.” You felt too dizzy to protest and just lifted your arms and had him carry you out.
On the train, Monoma draped his jacket over your head, hiding you away from any light that could worsen your headache. He kept you close, your head laying on top of his shoulder and his hand on the side of your head keeping you steady as the train rocked. Once off, he picked you up and carried you to Recovery Girl. She asked him a multitude of questions about what happened and asked him to step outside of the infirmary. She sent you to your dorm to rest with a bottle full of medicine and Monoma picked you up again to make the trip easier on you.
At your dorm, he laid you down on your bed and went down to the kitchen to get you a glass of water. You sat yourself up on your bed and took some of the liquid medicine. It was bitter yet sweet, it soothed your aching throat and helped ease your agitated stomach. When Monoma came back he crouched down in front of you, handing you the glass of water he had gotten for you.
“How do feel?” His face was showered with concern. This wasn’t uncommon for him when it came to you or any of his classmates. He didn’t like seeing you hurt nor sick, so this was overwhelming his heart a little bit.
“My throat burns a bit but I’m ok.” You smiled weakly. Monoma didn’t believe anything you were telling him but he also didn’t want to start an argument.
Monoma decided to pull you into bed and lay next to you. He covered your body with his arms around your waist as he tangled your legs with his own. He gave you a quick kiss on the lips, then placing his chin on the top of your head.
“Rest my love. You’ll feel better tomorrow.” You didn’t attempt to argue with him. Your head was hurting badly and your body was still tense from the vomiting you did earlier. You made yourself comfortable within Monomas chest and used him as an anchor. He was warm and welcoming, how couldn’t you take advantage of this.
The morning came and so did the sunlight that invaded your room. Monoma woke up ready to look at your beautiful face, a smile already forming as he imagined how you would look that morning. Ethereal as always he believes. Yet, when he opened his eyes you weren’t comfortably placed in his arms. You weren’t even in the room. He shot up from the bed and went rushing down to the common room.
“Y/n! What are you doing!?” Monoma watched you as you were seated on one of the tables. With a cup of steaming coffee. Again.
“My head hurts, the coffee helps it feel better.” Monomas eyes widened as he walked towards you.
“I understand, but couldn’t you have taken some pain medication or have at least told me?” He stood next to you and looked at how much coffee you still had left in your cup. It was at halfway. He made an executive decision and grabbed it from you.
“Neito, what are you?” You tried to reach for the cup but it was immediately raised above you.
“Nei, that isn’t funny. Give me back my coffee!” Monoma only grinds at you.
“No, it isn’t my fault you’re the shortest person in our year.” You used your quirk to try and inflict some damage onto him but to no avail. He just raised it higher.
“Nei! I swear you’re all legs and arms. How are you this tall!?” Monoma could only laugh at your silly attempts to reach for the cup. He leaned down enough for your faces to meet.
“I’ll give it back if you promise me something.”
“Sure, what is it?” Monomas grin softened around the edges. His eyes looking briefly at your lips and back to your eyes.
“For one, limit your coffee intake.” You frowned at him.
“Didn’t you just hear me? It helps with the headaches.”
“And for two,” He got closer to you. His mouth inches from your own. “For every time you minimize, ill give you whatever else you want.”
You cocked a brow up and returned the sly grin.
“Oh, like what exactly Neito Monoma?” He shivered at the mention of his full name. A tint becoming present on his cheeks.
“I don’t know, maybe kissing.” He leaned closer. Your lips touching but just by a little.
“Or maybe something more.” He added in. You decided to take the lead and closed the gap between the two of you. His lips were surprisingly soft, must be because of the religious chapstick use.
He became impatient and pushed his tongue into your mouth. He sighed into the kiss and pull you in closer by placing a hand on your lower back. You kissed back with fever and played with his tongue a bit. You made him moan, the hand holding the cup lowering to place it on the table. You quickly snatched it from him and backed away from the kiss you were sharing. A wet popping sound made itself present once you parted from him, a light string of saliva attached to your once connected lips. Monoma looked confused, his eyes hazy from the euphoria of kissing you.
“What?” He asked confused. You just giggled and walked away with the cup of the now lukewarm coffee. Monoma quickly trailed behind you, hand reaching out to take the cup. You walked to the sink and dumped all of the coffee down the drain.
“I know I should stop. I know.” You turned towards him and place your hand on his cheek. You admired him for a moment. His face was still red and his chest was still expanding slowly trying to get more air in. You gently caressed his lips with your thumb and quickly gave him a peck on them.
“But I’ll only stop because you asked me to.” You kissed him deeply. Monoma wrapped his arms around your waist, holding you in place.
“I love you Nei.” Monomas face flushed deeper and he hid his face on the crook of your neck. He had to bend down to do so but it was worth it.
“I love you too Y/n.”

Promises
Hi dear! As agreed, I’ve changed it to dad’s friend!Bucky <3 Hope you’re going to enjoy this!
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Warnings: yandere, obsession, age gap, daddy kink, allusion to non-con, death of minor characters.
Words: 3000.
_______________________
Looking at the lonely chocolate muffin laying on the table in front of you, you closed your eyes for a couple of seconds, making a wish: it was your birthday, and you were stuck in some filthy roadside diner with no one but Mr. Barnes by your side.
Bucky. You were ought to call him Bucky, you reminded yourself, opening your eyes and blowing softly on a single candle sitting on the top of your muffin.
It wasn’t his fault you two ended up here - there had been a huge accident on your way back home, a tanker truck exploded into flames in the middle of the highway. In fact, you were lucky you were far away since several drivers and passengers who had the misfortune to be close to the truck had already been declared dead. It was all over the news, most of the people inside diner glued to the old TV hanging on the wall.
Staring at the candle, you carefully pulled it off and dropped it on a cheap white napkin, taking the muffin and eagerly having a bite. Mr. Barn... Bucky watched you from the other side of the table, his coffee already long cold. There was no smile on his face as you quietly said thank you to him, but you barely remembered him smiling at all despite knowing him for several years at the very least. He was your dad’s friend, and he often visited your house to share a beer and watch hockey with your dad late in the evening. Who could imagine it would be Bucky of all people helping you stay afloat.
“What did you wish for?” He asked you, and chuckled grimly at him, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand. Apparently, you had to keep it a secret to make your wish come true, but it didn’t matter now.
“To have a family.”
You gulped down a sob and stared at the red table as Bucky reached out to pat your shoulder gently. Both of you knew what you meant, but you had no strength to talk about it again. It was still painful as hell.
“It will get better.” He said quietly as you nodded, wiping away your tears and gulping down your coke. “You need time.”
Yeah, time, that was what everyone around you kept saying as if time could change the fact you were all alone now; as if it could make you forget all that happened and keep the pain away. What could time do? Make you insensitive, unsympathetic, and unable to feel anything at all. All this time could probably do to you, sure.
He bought a couple of ham sandwiches and bottles of coke for the evening and left with you following him closely. The motel room was just as dirty as the diner, but you didn’t expect anything else, preparing to cleaning it up - anyway, there wasn’t much you could do around here. Although there were lots of people stuck here along with you two, you had no wish to go talk to them about the tragedy. You had your own already, and it was enough for you.
“Your uncle looks scary on this photo.” Your phone buzzed in your pocket, and you picked it up, reading the message from April, your best friend - your only friend, to be completely honest. “Like he’s straight out of those serial killer documentaries.”
“April, come on."
"what, I'm serious lol"
"Maybe he’s not your sunshine guy, but he’s the only one who stayed with me after all that happened."
"And he is NOT my uncle!”
“sorry girl just wanted to cheer you up”
You smiled at the text, missing Bucky’s gaze as he came closer to you.
“Who’s that?” He asked, and you raised your eyes at him, immediately getting back to your grim state.
“April. She saw the photo I sent her.” Explaining quietly, you tried pretending you were happy, stretching your lips in a thin smile and thinking whether Bucky could feel it. “She’s checking on how we are here.”
“Good.”
With that he left to bathroom, leaving you on your knees scrubbing the floor. He was bad at cleaning - really bad, missing tons of dirty spots to the point it felt like he didn’t clean anything at all. That was why you preferred doing it yourself. Besides, it was him who paid for the room and food despite you trying to share the expenses, so you felt obliged to him.
Bucky certainly wasn’t the most talkative or friendly type, but he still cared about you, supporting you the way he could. Even if he was way older than you, and a part of you still didn’t feel very comfortable around him, Bucky was the only one by your side. He agreed living with you when most of your relatives had little interest in staying even for a few days longer, leaving you all alone. He helped you with all the legal stuff you knew nothing about, never having to deal with these issues before. He gave you a drive to your university campus every morning and called you every time when you were supposed to come home, probably afraid you’d do something to yourself. That was what you thought, at least.
He was a good man. Maybe a little gruff, seemingly unfriendly, intimidating even, but still better then all those who promised to look after you and then vanished.
“I’m going to go for a walk.” Bucky said after leaving bathroom and putting his sneakers on. “Will you be okay by yourself?”
You felt shame bubbling up inside you at his words. He still thought you might be suicidal.
“Of course. I’ll be waiting here.”
With that he nodded and left you alone with a bright pack of Lysol and dirty doormat on the floor. Sighing, you felt relieved, finally staying all by yourself in the grim silence of the room. It wasn’t that bad. You weren’t stuck together somewhere in the desert with no food and shelter. Tomorrow morning you’d be able to return home from that little improvised vacation Bucky organized purely for you, staying in a cabin close to the beautiful lake in the woods. It wasn’t his fault you were spending your birthday like this, scrubbing the floor clean and wiping the dust from shelves and nightstands instead of celebrating somewhere in the club with April, drinking fancy cocktails.
In half an hour you finished the clean up and had a shower, changing into your funny pink pajamas - you knew your looked pathetic in it, considering how old it was, but it was one of the things that made you feel safe. Anyway, Bucky didn’t care about the way you looked, so you simply wore whatever you found comfortable, often looking like a kid who was too big to fit into their old clothes.
“Whatcha doin??” A message popped up on the screen as you checked your phone again.
“Gonna go to sleep, I guess. I didn’t sleep well yesterday again.”
“i have a gooood recipe for a nice 8-hour sleep”
“Really? What’s that?”
Instead of answering you clearly, she sent you a link. To your horror, instead of checking the name first you simply clicked on it and found out April sent you some porno. Groaning, you quickly turned it off, afraid somebody gonna hear it - the walls here were out of paper, you could swear.
“WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?” You typed furiously. “Are you mad?”
“come on, what are we, holy virgins?? Ima telling you, this thing works! Just try it, you’ll be sleeping after this in no time!”
“April, even if I’m gonna believe this crap, Bucky just went for a walk. I have no clue when he’s going to come back. Do you really think I’m ready to do this when he’s around?”
“damn girl just don’t put earphones, cover yourself with a blanket and sit facing the door.” You could literally see her rolling her eyes at you. “you’re a grown up, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. When you hear the man coming, just turn it off!”
Rubbing your eyes tiredly, you muted your phone and carefully opened the link again, trying to understand what kind of porno she sent you exactly. Apparently, it was that daddy thing she kept telling you about - you read the name of the video, and your face grew unbearably hot in a second. Damn, this girl had no shame whatsoever.
But maybe she was right: you needed to release some tension that had been building up over the last months. It was quite an innocent way to do it, really, and you’d be careful enough to do it before Bucky came back, finding anything suspicious. You were a human being, after all! There was nothing nasty in what you were going to do, you tried assuring yourself.
“I’m gonna regret it.”
“NO GIRL YOU WON’T! Treat yourself!!”
Laughing, you quickly dropped your phone on your bed, taking a tablet out of your backpack along with a pair of pink socks - you couldn’t explain it, but your feet were always getting cold while you pleasured yourself. Getting comfortable on your bed and wrapping a comforter around yourself, you opened your tablet, setting the volume level low and finding that link April sent you. You threw a quick glance to the door, prepared to switch the tablet off any second if Bucky was going to show up. Shoot, were you doing it for real? Yes, yes you were.
Opening the video, you bit down on your lower lip, a little ashamed still. Trying to get these thoughts out of your head, you concentrated on what was happening in the video, watching a girl sitting on the lap of a beefy bearded man stroking her ass. He was speaking to her softly, but in a very low, husky voice, and you realized it was getting warm in between your thighs. You closed your eyes, listening to the voice that, along with a sound of him slapping the girl, was making you aroused way more than the picture itself.
"Have you been good, princess?" The man whispered, and you could see the smug grin on his face even with your eyes closed.
Yes, you have, you thought, your hand slowly trailling down your belly and touching the elastic of your cotton panties.
Fuck, you heard the sound of one more slap and bit your lip again, imagining it was you he spanked, caressing your raw, hot skin with his calloused palm, his fingers digging in your soft flesh when you tried moving away, quietly squirming from his touch. You were a good girl for him. You'd do what your daddy told you, baring your ass in front of him and getting back on his lap, moving on top of him, making him feel you through the fabric of his pants until you ruined them. Would daddy be happy if you rode him, moaning like some dirty slut until he shut you with his mouth? Would he like you cumming on his cock with your eyes rolling inside your skull out of immense pleasure?
With your fingers on your clit, you gently stroked that bundle of nerves, getting more and more wet until you soaked your panties, listening to the voice of that man and imagining being with your own daddy, somebody who would take care of you, somebody who would never leave you alone and comfort you when you needed it the most. Oh, were you crying, thinking of it? You could feel your eyes growing wet as you softly moaned. You imagined the man touching your hair and kissing your forehead, and tears were now streaming down your cheeks.
You were pathetic, you thought. You couldn't even pleasure yourself while watching porno anymore.
Softly sobbing, you kept listening to the video, touching your sleek folds and missing the shadow that descended upon you - you couldn't see the stranger behind the window, watching you sitting there on your bed with a tablet in front of you, seeing the video clearly. Maybe Bucky couldn't hear it from the outside, but he knew it - he saw it a couple of weeks ago when he felt a little lonely.
You almost cummed when you heard the steps right outside the door, inmediately hitting the screen to stop the video and hiding your tablet beneath the comforter. You didn't figure out anything better than pretending you were already asleep, aside from the fact it was barely seven.
Covering your head, you prayed Bucky didn't see anything suspicious, mentally cursing April for sending you the link. Shit, you knew this wasn't going to end well! Why on Earth did you even tried something as reckless and stupid as this when Bucky could show up any minute?
"I know you're not sleeping."
His voice sounded so much closer than you anticipated that you almost flinched, holding your breath for a couple of seconds. Fuck, did he know? Did he hear you? Could he see the tablet beneath your blanket?
You stilled, still pretending you were sleeping when Bucky landed close to you, the bed dipping under him. When he suddenly touched your leg, making you flinch involuntarily, you clamped a hand around your mouth. Shit! What was he doing? He had never ever touched you like that before. Was he mad? Did he-
"You can stop pretending, little one." As Bucky lifted your comforter, you stared at him, terrified to the core with your eyes almost popping out of their sockets.
Immediately, you tried moving away, determined to get to the other side of the room, but he quickly held you down with his hands on your wrists, getting on top of you. Shit. Staring at his dark but calm expression, you saw a strange glint in his eyes that had never been there before. The thought made you shiver.
Something was wrong with the way he hold you, looked at you - it was not like before when he treated you like some sad kid, patting your head awkwardly when you cried and rarely giving you a hug. You were staring at the man who barely reminded you of Bucky who had been coming to your house to watch a hockey game late in the evening. This man seemed like a stranger.
"Please, Mr. Barnes-"
"Shhhh." He interrupted your pleading, leaning closer to you so his dark hair brushed against your face. "Don't be scared. It's alright."
No, no, it wasn't alright in any sense, and you kept struggling, doing your best to break free from his grasp until Bucky made you yelp from pain, grabbing your hands so hard you thought you'd have bruises. When you got silent, trembling beneath him with your eyes full of tears, he got closer, his forehead touching yours as he exhaled into your face.
“P-please, I don’t want to.”
“Don’t you? I’ve seen what you’ve been doing while I was gone.” His stormy grey eyes bore into you, and you thought Bucky was angry at you watching that filthy porno. “But I won’t punish you.”
“What do you want then?” You sobbed, then froze when he kissed your cheek, and then your nose and eyelids, his chapped lips brushing softly against your skin. His touch felt warm.
“To take care of you.”
You looked at him with your watery eyes, whimpering softly when Bucky kissed your forehead as you relaxed beneath him, shocked at his words. Take care of you? What did he mean by that? Wasn’t he taking care of you already? No, now you knew why Bucky was close, and he definitely wasn’t some good Samaritan you imagined him to be. Was it all for this? Did he pretend to be your friend just to let you lower your guard?
Crying, you closed your eyes, thinking how silly you were wanting someone to be by your side, having dreams about someone taking care of you, comforting you when even the one you thought was there for you just wanted to use a silly little girl and throw her away.
“Take what you want and go.” You managed to mumble, choking on a sob. “Just leave me alone.”
Bucky raised his brows, his gaze heavy as he stared at your face wet with tears. “Why would I? Didn’t you hear what I just said, little one?”
You gave him a sarcastic smile, avoiding looking him in the eyes. “You’re here because you want to take something from me. So, take it and go. Please!”
Bucky let out a loud breath, getting off you and rolling to the side, but holding you close and pressing your face into his chest. You could feel a subtle smell of sweat coming from him; strangely, it was almost comforting. Anyway, you had no strength left to fight him, so you just laid there, his hands on your back and in your hair. His black zipped hoodie was quickly getting wet with you still sobbing quietly.
“I’m not going anywhere, little girl.” He whispered, touching the top of your head with his lips. “You’re mine to take care off. Look at you, barely able to sleep on your own. How do you think you will manage without me?”
You didn’t answer, not knowing what to say. What Bucky told you was true - you barely existed outside of your house, facing the reality where you were always alone. April was trying her best to help you come to your senses, but she wasn’t family. You needed a family.
“Will you stay?” You whimpered, shaking lightly at the though Bucky would go, too, and you would end up all by yourself, talking to four walls until one day they would talk to you, too.
“Remember your birthday wish?” He asked instead of answering your question, and you felt like the air was sucked out of your lungs. But before you had time to said something, Bucky dropped a kiss to your forehead again, caressing your head tenderly. “I am your family, little one. You will never be alone.”

Frosted Windowpanes: Part One
The Christmas Fic is here! Featuring Logan the lumberjack, Leo who owns a diner, and Finn who was just trying to have a quiet, uneventful holiday (lol). This was supposed to be a oneshot, but y’all know I’m too long-winded for that, so it looks like we’ll be having at least one more part for this story!
@donttouchmycarrots Thank you so much for proofreading/encouraging/being such a wonderful, wonderful friend. I don’t think I’d still be writing without you and iloveyouiloveyouiloveyou
@lumosinlove Again, thank you for such wonderful characters! And for creating such a wonderful, welcoming fandom! I never thought I’d post my writing where people could read it, but then I met y’all and here we are! You guys are amazing! Happy Holidays, everyone! <3
Part Two is now up!
.
It's that time of year When the world falls in love Every song you hear seems to say
- The Christmas Waltz
.
Piercing, bitter cold greeted Logan as he stepped outside for the first time that day. The kind of cold that made the entire body tense up and the breath hitch. It was a quiet early morning, with a stillness that only freshly-fallen snow could bring. Logan took a second to pull his toque further down over his head as he grabbed the chainsaw by the door before heading out to the truck, passing the sign with red, clean lettering that read Tremblay’s Christmas Trees.
“Took you long enough, sleeping beauty.” His sister, Noelle, teased from the driver’s seat of the beat-up truck that barely started most mornings.
“It’s too early for this.” He grumbled back, sliding into the passenger’s seat as the truck reluctantly spluttered to a start.
“The faster we get done out here, the faster we can go deal with customers.”
“That’s not exactly helping.”
Noelle laughed as she drove back into one of the fields, parking the truck at the far end. “Come on, it’s not that bad. They ask to buy a tree, you help them pick one out, take their money, and strap it to their car. Easy.”
They got out of the truck, grabbed the chainsaw from the back, and headed towards their first tagged tree. Logan grabbed the tree around its trunk to stabilize it while Noelle powered up the chainsaw, putting their conversation on hold. She crouched down to start cutting the base of the tree trunk, creating a notch before starting the back cut. Logan waited until the tree felt unstable before giving the tree a gentle push in the right direction and removing his hands. The tree hit the ground with a thud.
Noelle took that as her cue to continue their conversation. “Don’t pretend to be all grumpy and stoic. I know you like some of our regulars.”
“Some being the key word here.” He replied, grabbing the tree trunk again and beginning to drag it to the truck. Noelle just gave him a look that clearly said I see right through you but didn’t comment as she looked for the next tagged tree.
Logan heaved the Christmas tree into the bed of the truck and shoved it into one corner; he could probably fit one more tree alongside it before he started stacking them. He stood up straight, turning his head to watch the sun rise and peek over the tops of the trees, bringing rays of light and warmth with it.
Leo basked in the warmth coming from the oven as he took out a fresh batch of croissants, a welcome reprieve from the weather outside. He quickly put the next tray of pastries into the oven and transferred the baked croissants onto a plate, where he let them cool just a little before drizzling them with honey. He hummed along to the Christmas music playing on the radio as he worked on getting the diner ready to open in a few hours. He started the gumbo, red beans and rice, and jambalaya, letting them simmer on the stove before whipping up his fried chicken batter and breading so that it was ready whenever he needed it. Next was the cornbread, which was made from scratch and poured into muffin tins to create the perfect individual servings. Coffee was brewed, quiches were placed in the display window, waffle batter was whipped up and sitting in a bowl on the counter.
Leo was arranging croissants into a basket when the back door opened, letting all the cold air in and a small flurry of snow with it.
“Good morning!” Nate called as he came around the corner, shedding his coat and hat. Leo honestly wasn’t sure what he’d do without Nate. Running his own diner was hard – it was even harder when he’d moved to a different country, not knowing anyone there, and kept afloat with barely anything but his optimism and his confidence in his cooking. Nate was the first person he’d hired when business actually picked up, and he’d been there ever since. He had a real knack for cooking and managed to make every person that walked through their doors feel welcomed.
“Headed out to the farm?” Nate asked when he saw the basket of croissants and the large thermos Leo was filling with coffee.
“Yeah.” Leo said, grabbing coffee creamer and sugar and shoving them into his coat pocket after he slipped it on. “You don’t mind, do you?”
“Nah, I can hold down the fort while you’re gone.”
Leo smiled as he grabbed his hat. “Thanks. There’s croissants in the oven, but they’ll be done as soon as that timer goes off! I’ll be right back, ok?”
Nate gave him a look. “No you won’t.”
“No, I won’t.” Leo agreed with a laugh. “But I’ll be back before morning rush.” He said as he braced himself and opened the door to be greeted by the frigid Canadian winter.
Even after a year and a half, he had a feeling he’d never get used to this weather.
He made a beeline for his car, quickly getting behind the wheel and cranking the heat as high as it would go. He put the car in drive and slowly pulled out onto the road, keeping a firm grip on the wheel and his eyes on the road. He knew he was probably causing a traffic build-up behind him, which made Leo feel a little guilty. He’d driven through hurricanes countless times, but snow? Black ice? He was absolutely terrified of that. So he took his time, eventually turning off the main road and driving until he reached a sign with red lettering and a Christmas tree lot. There were handmade wreaths and garlands, and white Christmas lights strung up over the rows of trees for sale.
Leo put the car in park and grabbed his stuff, breath hitching as he faced the cold winds again. Marius, the head of the Tremblay family, was at the checkout counter, writing something down on a pad of paper. Once he looked up and saw Leo, he smiled broadly. “Hey, Nut!”
“Good morning.” Leo replied, raising the basket and thermos in his hands. “I come bearing gifts. Coffee and croissants.”
“You know you don’t have to do that.” Marius said as he gave Leo a stern look. “I’m sure you’ve got other things to do.”
Leo shrugged, opening the basket and offering them to the man. “I like doing this. Y’all work hard and have ridiculously long hours. And you work in this weather. I feel like you could use a little warmth.”
“You and your southern manners.” He grabbed a croissant anyways, taking a big bite. “Your favorite’s still out there bringing some trees in.” He said, motioning to one of the groves to the left. Leo could faintly hear the sound of a chainsaw in the distance.
“I don’t have favorites,” Leo protested as he set the thermos and croissants down on the table, even though it was clearly a bald-faced lie. He thought of evergreen eyes and a gorgeous laugh and a smile that left him breathless. He blamed the redness of his cheeks and ears on the cold. “I like all of you equally.”
“Right.” Marius said, dragging out the vowel. He was smiling, though. “He’s lucky to have a friend like you, you know.”
Leo had to force his smile to remain steadfast. Friend. That was all this was ever going to be, no matter how much his heart yearned for something more. He needed to learn to be content with that – it wasn’t fair to Logan otherwise, or to himself for that matter. He could be a good friend and leave it at that. It was still better than not knowing him at all.
“I think I’m the lucky one.” He said, only then remembering the sugar and coffee creamers in his coat pocket. He fished them out and set them on the counter next to the thermos. “I do have to get going, though. I’ve got the breakfast rush to deal with.”
Marius waved him off playfully, grabbing another croissant. “Go on, then. I’ll try to save some for the rest of them.”
Leo laughed at his antics, breath clouding in the air. “I’m holding you to that.”
Marius watched him get in his car and drive off very slowly with a chuckle. Damn southerners. He looked down at the coffee creamers and sugar, knowing Logan was the only one in the family that used them, and started speculating.
He heard the rumbling of the truck as it came in, the back loaded to the brim with trees. Noelle and Logan’s bickering could be heard before the truck’s engine got turned off, which was saying something. Marius grabbed a cup and filled it with coffee. He was going to need it.
“I mean, come on. Back to the Future is clearly the superior 80s movie. It’s definitely better than Top Gun.”
Logan closed his door, staring at his sister with a combination of horror and disbelief. “How dare you. Those aren’t even in the same genre!”
Noelle looked over at Marius right as she was about to start her counterargument and spotted the pastries and coffee. She grinned and abandoned Logan at the back of the truck in order to beat him to the food. One croissant was immediately shoved into her mouth as she grabbed another and then reached for a coffee cup one-handed. Marius snorted and grabbed it from her, filling it with steaming coffee.
She groaned. “Lolo, your friend needs to stop by more often. Fuck, this is good. If I wasn’t in a committed relationship already, I’d ask him to marry me.”
“Please don’t call me that.” Logan said gruffly, but his words were betrayed by a smile. He looked down at the pastries, eyes soft and smile dopy.
Marius knew that look. More importantly, he knew his son. And everything fit together like pieces of a puzzle.
“Maybe Logan should ask, instead.” He teased, although a part of him was completely genuine.
Logan choked on his first bite of croissant.
.
“Finn!” June shouted as soon as she flung the door open, throwing herself into his arms. Finn laughed and hugged her back. Two seconds into his visit and he knew this was going to be the best way to spend the week before Christmas. He hadn’t seen June since they graduated college and, even though they kept in touch, it wasn’t the same.
“Four years is way too long.” He said as she let go. “Let’s not go that long without seeing each other again, ok?”
“Deal.” She replied, grabbing his bag for him and leading the way inside. The apartment was warm and cozy and lived in – there were books on the coffee table and a large pile of mail on the counter and a few stray dishes in the sink.
Finn loved it.
Heather, June’s fiancée, smiled in greeting and stuck her hand out to shake. “You must be Finn.”
He had originally thought it might be a little bit awkward, meeting his ex-girlfriend’s fiancée, but Heather seemed kind and welcoming and unperturbed about the whole thing. He shook her hand and returned the smile. “Heather. I’ve heard a lot about you.”
“Oh god.” She laughed, shooting June a look. June just winked and leaned over to check whatever food was in the oven.
“All good things.” Finn promised, letting Heather lead him to the guest room. It was as happy and welcoming as the rest of the apartment. As soon as they were out of earshot, he continued, “I’m really happy for you guys. She’s happier than I've ever seen her.”
“So am I.” Heather said wistfully as Finn set his bag down. “Bathroom’s through that door if you need it.”
“Thanks.”
When he rejoined the group in the living room, he noticed something: a distinct lack of Christmas decorations. June used to love decorating her college dorm room for the holidays – she went all out with little things she bought at the Dollar Tree and a miniature Christmas tree from Walmart. They used to get the tree together every year. It was strange that she hadn’t continued the tradition.
“No tree?” He asked June, surprised. She shrugged and scooted over on the couch to make room for all three of them.
“Haven’t had the time. I’ve been so busy at work and Heather’s been traveling for conferences. It’s not the same when you have to decorate by yourself.”
Finn hummed understandingly. He knew the feeling. “Why don’t we go get one now? Do you think some places are still open this late?”
Heather and June looked at each other, seeming to have a telepathic conversation. Finn watched on in amusement as they communicated with raised eyebrows and narrowed eyes and shrugs until they apparently made up their minds.
“Tremblay’s is probably still open. They’ve got the best trees, anyways.” June explained, turning to look at Finn. “But I’ve got to stay here and make sure our dinner doesn’t burn.”
“And I’ve got to stay here and supervise June while she uses the oven.” Heather added. Finn laughed, remembering too many times June had burned herself while using the rickety old oven from the 1970s that still lived on in their dorm building.
“Yeah, that sounds about right.” Finn teased and ruffled June’s hair. She just rolled her eyes and didn’t even bother trying to smooth it out again. Ruffling hair was one of Finn’s main ways of showing affection – she knew it would just get messed up again. Finn fished his phone out of his pocket and pulled up his navigation app. “I can go get the tree, if you want. You said the place was called Tremblay’s?”
“Finn, you really don’t have to-”
“No, I want to!” He cut in, standing up from the couch to grab his coat. “I didn’t bring presents for you guys because I’m so bad at gift-giving, so this can be my Christmas present.”
Heather hesitated. “Are you sure you don’t mind?” She asked, glancing at June again. “We can always go out and get a tree tomorrow.”
“It’s fine. I’ll be back soon, and with a tree!” Finn said as he reached the door, turned to give a cheery salute, and headed out to his car.
After a frankly terrifying drive through narrow back roads and potential ice hazards, Finn followed his app to a little tree farm off of the main road. There weren’t many cars there, thankfully, and it still looked open. The rows of white lights hanging above the trees were all lit and glowing, snow was falling at a slow, sleepy pace. It looked perfect, like something out of a dream.
And that was before Finn saw him.
The man working the front counter.
Finn raked his gaze over the man and swooned. Wavy brown hair, bright eyes, shoulders and arms so broad and built that it seemed like they were about to rip the plaid shirt he was wearing. With a nametag that stated Logan, he seemed like a rugged, Canadian, lumberjack dreamboat. Finn swallowed, making his way to the counter and the absolute vision behind it while he focused on not tripping over his own two feet.
“Hi,” Finn managed, trying not to get lost in evergreen eyes. “I’d like to buy a tree, please.”
“What type of tree would you like?”
Oh, the accent.
Finn was screwed.
“Uh…” Finn trailed off, looking at Logan and struggling to find words. “A Christmas tree?”
“Spruce, pine, or fir?” When Finn’s expression turned more confused, Logan smiled in exasperated, awed delight. Who drove all this way for a tree and had no clue what they were looking for? Most people at least had some idea. But not this one, apparently. Those big, Bambi eyes were lost and absolutely adorable.
“Do you have a size you’re looking for?” Logan asked, receiving a more perplexed look.
This was too funny. “Do you know anything about what kind of tree you want?”
“A pretty one? But not too expensive. Or too tall. Or heavy – I’ve got to get it up a huge flight of stairs.”
Logan couldn’t hold back the laughter any longer. He leaned forwards against the counter and laughed, eyes squeezing shut and shoulders shaking. Finn watched with a smile of his own, taking in the way his eyes crinkled at the corners and the contagious nature of his laugh. He felt like this – this right here – was the only thing he wanted to do for the next several hours, especially if he was the reason for the laughter. He thought of that song he could never remember the name of but heard a lot on Tiktok that said, “oh no, I think I’m catching feelings” and never related to a song more in his entire life.
“Ok,” Logan said when he’d finally caught his breath. “Ok, I’m going to pick one out for you, how’s that sound…?”
“Finn.” The redhead supplied with a laugh of his own. “And please. I have no clue what I’m doing.”
“Clearly.” Logan stepped around the counter and led him towards a group of trees. “These are Douglas Firs. They last a long time, smell great, and they don’t take a lot of trimming or maintenance. They’re also pretty cheap since they’re so common.”
Finn looked from the trees to another group of trees a little ways off. “They all look the same.”
“Who’s the expert here?” Logan teased, shooting him a look over his shoulder as he walked from one tree to the next. Finn trailed after him eagerly, watching calloused, muscular hands trail along the needles of the trees.
“We can go look at the Fraser Firs, if you want, but I really think one of these is your best bet.” Logan continued, stopping in front of a mid-sized tree. “How about this one?”
Finn looked at it, then back at Logan. “What do you think? Since I clearly don’t know anything about trees.” That drew another smile from Logan, which made Finn vow to himself to make the brunet smile like that again.
Logan dragged the tree out from the rest of the group and looked it over. “I think it’s a good one. Good shape, healthy. I sure know how to pick ‘em, eh?”
Eh. How adorably Canadian.
“Sounds good. It’s not even for me, so my input doesn’t really matter a whole lot.”
Logan sent him a confused look. “So you went out at nine o’clock at night to get a Christmas tree, and it’s not for you?”
“I don’t even live in this country.”
“What?”
“I’m visiting friends that live here, and they’ve been traveling or too busy to decorate like they normally do, so I decided I’d get the ball rolling and find them a Christmas tree.” Finn shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets.
Not only was he stunning, he was thoughtful to boot.
Logan clearly had a type.
“That’s nice of you.” He removed the tree from its stand and started lugging it to the counter, watching the redhead trail behind him yet again out of the corner of his eye. When he reached his destination, he set the tree down and found Finn staring at him with a look of awe on his face. He bit back a smile. “How long are you staying?”
Finn was silent for a second, as if in a trance, then snapped out of it with a little shake of his head. “Huh?”
That smile he was holding back broke through. “How long are you staying in town?”
“Oh. Just for the week, then I’m off to spend Christmas with my family back home in New York.”
“A New Yorker, huh?” Logan asked as he bagged the tree up, attempting to do the accent and making Finn laugh. “This must be quite the change of pace for you.”
“You have no idea.”
Finn’s stomach growled, making his eyes widen and his cheeks burn in embarrassment. It must’ve been loud enough for Logan to hear because he turned back around to face Finn and quirked an eyebrow. “Hungry?” He asked, then told Finn the price of the tree. Finn handed his card over.
“Yeah. Haven’t had dinner yet.”
“I, uh, I know a place.” Logan said, playing with Finn’s credit card before meeting his eyes and quickly adding, “If you’re interested. I haven’t had dinner either.”
Finn grinned, not even trying to hide his excitement. The only thing he’d wanted when he left June and Heather’s apartment was a tree. Now he had a potential date with this gorgeous, witty guy? Yes please. “Yeah?”
Logan shared his smile, leaning forward against the counter and looking up at him through dark, dark eyelashes. Finn’s heart fluttered. “Yeah. Sounds fun to me.”
“Great.” Finn said, unsure of what else to say and suddenly feeling a little awkward. Was he supposed to wait for him to finish his shift? Were they driving together? Where was this restaurant?
He needed to text June.
Shit. She had been making dinner when he left. But he’d already agreed to dinner with Logan. But it would be so rude to not spend time with his hosts. But he would regret it for the rest of his life if he didn’t go on this date.
He pulled out his phone as Logan ran his card through the system to text June.
To June: Sooooo there might be a change of plans. Some hot guy is my acting tour guide for the night and I won’t be making it home for dinner. But I promise I have a tree and I will be back eventually.
It only took June a few seconds to respond.
From June: Damn. You go, Finn.
He laughed under his breath, then pocketed his phone. When he looked up, Logan was looking at him and holding his card out. Finn grabbed it and shoved it into his wallet, which he pocketed. “Ready to go?” Logan asked, grabbing the trunk of the tree and preparing to drag it again. “I can drive, if you want. We’ll strap the tree to the top of your car and then head out.”
“Works for me. Do you need help with that?” Finn motioned to the tree. Not that he minded the view – quite the contrary – but he felt bad not doing anything.
“Want to grab the netting towards the top? We can carry it instead of dragging it.”
Finn grabbed the netting and followed Logan’s lead as they both lifted the tree and started carrying it out to Finn’s car, Finn giving directions as they went. Getting the tree to the top of the rental car was a struggle, but they managed and strapped it down.
They hurried to Logan’s car and shut out the cold as quickly as they could. Logan started the rickety old pickup truck that smelled strongly of Christmas trees and took off down the road at a much faster pace than Finn would ever dare to drive these roads.
“I have a feeling you’re going to love this place.” Logan said as he turned right onto the main road, accelerating a bit more. “Pretty much everyone does. It’s not very Canadian, but you can’t beat the food.”
“What defines a restaurant as Canadian?” Finn mused, looking over at the driver. “Maple syrup? Poutine?”
“Watch it.” There was no heat in Logan’s voice, so Finn didn’t take it to heart. They slowed down and pulled into a parking lot of a diner simply called Leo’s. The outside looked a little rundown, which made Finn a little apprehensive, but the windows were all fogged up from the temperature difference between inside and outside, which was always promising.
Logan turned the car off and shot Finn an excited grin. “Ready?”
Finn couldn’t tell if he was excited for dinner with him or just the food. Hopefully it was both.
The inside of the diner was… eclectic. The walls were a faint yellow, but there were splashes of deep purple, green, and gold in the decorations on the walls. Mardis Gras, Finn realized as he spotted some masks hanging on the wall. The food smelled amazing – warm and spicy and savory. Behind the baked goods on display counter stood a young kid with a cleaning spray and a rag, wiping down the counters. He looked up at the bell that signaled the door opening and instantly recognized Logan. He sent them a smile before turning his head and shouting towards the direction of the kitchen, “Leo!”
There was a loud clang, followed by a muffled curse. “Be there in a jiffy!”
Finn looked to Logan in confusion. “Was that a southern accent? Like American south?”
“Leo.” Was all Logan said, a happy smile on his face.
“You guys can go ahead and sit down,” The kid at the counter said. “I’ll bring some menus.”
“Thanks, Nate.” Logan led the way towards a booth in the front corner of the dining area and sat down facing the door. Finn sat opposite him, accepting a menu with thanks. The menu consisted of southern U.S. staples – biscuits and gravy, grits, red beans and rice, fried chicken, etouffee, jambalaya, po’boys, fried catfish, cornbread, the list went on.
“So is this guy from Louisiana?”
Logan wasn’t even looking at the menu, he was watching every nuance of Finn’s expressions as he took everything in. “New Orleans, born and raised.”
“How the hell did he end up here?”
“He had an uncle who owned this place and left it to Leo when he died. Originally he was just going to fix it up and sell it before going back home, but two months led to a year and he’s still here. Doesn’t seem to be planning on going anywhere else for a while, either.” Logan suddenly perked up, looking at something over Finn’s shoulder. “Here he comes.”
Finn swiveled in his seat and stopped dead in his tracks.
Tall.
They were both greeted by a dimpled smile as Leo approached their table, flour or powdered sugar – Finn wasn’t sure which one – all over his apron and a dusting of it in his fluffy blond hair.
“Hey, Logan. See you’ve brought company!” His accent dragged sweet and slow like molasses, so very out of place this far north. But it was refreshing, like a breath of fresh air or the sun coming out from behind the clouds after a week of rain. As he got closer, Finn realized what he’d thought to be flour in his hair was actually a gray streak. And wow, were his eyes blue.
How was everyone here so attractive?
“Finn, meet Leo. Leo, this is Finn.” Logan said, smile never leaving his face as he looked between the two. “He’s new here.”
Leo arched an eyebrow. “And you brought him here?”
“You do have the best pie in town.”
That got another sunny smile from Leo. “Damn right I do. But dinner first. Can’t go on spoilin’ your dinner with pie.” Those blue eyes turned to Finn, causing his breath to hitch just a little. “What’ll you have, sugar?”
Finn simply wasn’t going to survive this night. Was this a dream? That would explain all the attractive guys – the probabilities of something like this happening in real life were slim to none. He pinched his arm harshly. Not a dream.
What the fuck?
Finn realized he still hadn’t answered and was just staring at the blond. He cleared his throat and quickly averted his gaze to the menu, not really reading anything but grateful for something else to look at besides the two guys in front of him. “Um… what would you recommend?” He finally asked, grateful that he could get his vocal cords to actually work.
Leo hummed, thinking about it. “Personally I really like the muffuletta, if you’re looking for a sandwich. Definitely the gumbo if you’re in the mood for soup. I do make a mean fried catfish, too.”
Finn wasn’t sure what exactly a muffuletta was, but he ordered it. Logan got his usual, whatever that meant. Leo wrote down their orders and gave them one last smile before retreating to the kitchen. They both watched him go, then Finn whipped back around to face Logan.
“Is he real?”
Logan just laughed, leaning back in his seat. Finn panicked for half a second, terrified that what he’d said was the worst possible thought to voice on what was potentially a first date. But Logan didn’t seem to mind. He just looked back at the kitchen with a soft smile Finn hadn’t seen before.
“You know, I ask myself that a lot.” He said quietly, as if he hadn’t meant to say it out loud. And Finn finally understood.
He was in love with Leo.
The sound of a record scratching filled Finn’s head.
Wait.
That didn’t make any sense… because Finn was ninety-five percent sure that Logan had been flirting with him all night.
Hadn’t he?
They made small talk while they waited for their food, and Logan was pleasantly surprised at how… easy it was. He normally didn’t like small talk and didn’t share personal stories with strangers, but here Finn was, pulling stories out of him that he normally wouldn’t share on a first date.
Was this a date? Logan couldn’t decide if he wanted it to be one or not. One hand, this was definitely the most fun he’d had in weeks. On the other hand, Leo. He sent a glance towards the kitchen window before focusing back on Finn’s story about one of the parties he and June went to back in college. There was lots of alcohol, mattresses, and a roof involved. Finn’s storytelling included a myriad of different expressions, all of which Logan found endearing. The wrinkle of his nose when he talked about drunk frat boy antics, the way he got all soft whenever he talked about June, the laughter lines around his eyes when he told a funny anecdote.
How was it possible to be so cute and yet so hot at the same time?
And how had he met two guys who fit into both of those categories?
Nate brought their food out while Logan was in the middle of a story about the time he’d found a squirrel in one of their trees and got attacked when he tried to relocate the thing when Nate came back with the food. Finn had the muffuletta, which was apparently meat and cheese and some sort of olive spread or something – Finn had no idea, but it looked and smelled amazing. Logan had a bowl of red beans and rice in front of him, but he was waiting to see Finn’s reaction to the food before starting his own.
Finn took a bite of the sandwich, then his eyes widened almost comically. “Oh my god.”
“I know.” Logan said, getting a spoonful of red beans and rice.
“Where has this been all my life?”
“Just wait until you try the pie.”
Finn didn’t speak again, he just ate. The food clearly took precedence over any possible conversations. Logan couldn’t help but agree. Finn ate like a man who hadn’t seen food in a week, finishing the sandwich in record time. He leaned back in his seat when he was done, letting out a happy, content sigh. “Holy shit. Is everything on the menu that good?”
“Pretty much.”
“And he hasn’t been on the Food Network yet?”
Logan grinned. “Not that I’m aware of.”
“We should tell them to get up here and try this food.”
“Y’all, I don’t have time for the Food Network.” Finn jumped a little as Leo reappeared with two slices of pie. “I appreciate it, though. You liked it, huh?”
Finn looked up at him. “I kind of want to come back every day I’m here.” And he meant it. He wouldn’t be coming back just for the food, though.
“Well, I definitely won’t stop you.” Leo said with a dimpled smile. Finn barely held in a dreamy sigh.
Dimples.
“Why don’t you join us?” Finn asked, scooting over to make room for the blond. But Leo just shook his head with a rueful smile.
“I wish I could, but I’ve got twelve pies that need to be made.”
“Twelve?” Finn asked in mild horror. “When do you sleep?”
“The chocolate crème pies are in high demand, especially around the holidays. But it’s fine, I don’t mind it. I’m just glad I've got business.” Leo seemed to be ignoring the sleep question, which was never a good sign.
“You look tired.” Logan noted, face muddled with concern.
Leo laughed softly, but didn’t seem to take offense. “Thanks a lot, darlin’.”
Logan broke eye contact and pushed the residual whipped cream around on his plate. Finn hadn’t even realized he’d started eating, but he quickly followed suit and fuck, was that good.
“I just meant you need to take care of yourself, that’s all.” Logan mumbled into his plate without looking up, almost as if he was afraid to see the cook’s response.
“Says the guy who works even longer hours than I do.” Leo teased, causing Logan to roll his eyes.
“That’s because it’s almost Christmas and I work at a Christmas tree farm. It’s only temporary. We’ll be back to normal by the end of the week.”
“Well, good. You deserve to sleep in for once.” Leo said, taking a step back towards the kitchen. “But I really do have to go. Those pies won’t make themselves.”
“Do you want help?” Finn asked hopefully, He honestly couldn’t think of a better way to spend the night than baking with these two. Being given instructions in a thick southern drawl, helping Logan make pie filling, trading stories (and maybe kisses) while they waited for the pies to be done.
But Leo quickly dashed his dreams. “That’s sweet, honey, but I think I’ll be faster on my own. I’ve got a system that makes it pretty efficient. And I don’t give out my recipes to just anyone, you know.”
Oh, but I’d love to be someone to you.
Logan also looked disappointed. “We should get going, then. Don’t want to keep distracting you.”
“At least you’re a welcome distraction.” Leo said with a wink before he turned and disappeared into the kitchen. He let the door close behind him before backing up to lean against it, tilting his head back to rest against the wood and closing his eyes. The happy façade dropped in an instant.
Because Logan was out there, on a date with a guy. A handsome, kind, funny guy who would have absolutely no trouble sweeping Logan off his feet.
And that guy wasn’t Leo.
.
Finn flopped dramatically onto the couch back at June’s apartment, muffling a scream into a poor, unsuspecting pillow. June looked up from her book with a laugh. “Well hello to you, too.”
“I’m in love.”
“Oh?” Heather asked from her spot cuddled up next to June.
Finn turned his head sideways to open one eye and look at the two of them. “With a lumberjack and a cook.”
“Ah,” June said knowingly as she dog-eared the page she was on and closed the book. “Beware the lumberjacks. They’re known to be irresistible. Alright then, which Tremblay was it?”
Finn cocked his head. “What?”
Heather smiled as June tilted her head back and let her run her fingers through dark brown curls. They were so cute it was almost sickening. “There’s four of them: three sisters and a brother. Which one did you fall for?”
Finn couldn’t have held back the smile that crossed his face even if he tried. “Logan.”
June groaned. “I get it. Holy shit, those eyes.”
“I know.”
“I didn’t know he cooked, though.”
“No, the cook was another guy.” Finn sighed as he twisted to lay on his back and stare wistfully up at the ceiling. “Leo.”
“The southern one with the diner?”
“That’s the one.”
“Damn, O’Hara. You do know-”
“They’re head-over-heels in love with each other? Yeah, I got that.” Finn stretched his legs out to rest on June’s lap. “But I’m also pretty sure that was a date. And that Logan was flirting with me.” He sighed again, covering his eyes with his arm. “I’m doomed.”
“Always so dramatic.” June teased. “Just date both of them.”
Finn froze, his mind going completely blank. “What?”
“Date both of them.” She repeated, unfazed. “Polyamorous relationships are a thing, you know. Who says you can’t date both of them?”
Finn moved his arm away from his face to stare at her. “Huh.” He finally said, mind kicking back into gear. That sounded… perfect, actually. Only a few hitches. Did Leo even like him? They’d barely talked to each other. Finn could see Logan being ok with the whole dating two people thing, seeing that he was flirting with both of them, but what would Leo think? And the other hitch. “I’m only for a week, though.”
“Then you’d better act fast, lover boy.”
“I’ve got a question.” Heather piped up.
Finn looked at her and raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to ask her question.
“Where’s the tree?”
He could probably see it from their front window if he bothered to stand up, still strapped to his rental car. “Shit.”

New Light Part: 1
College Levi x Reader(Modern AU)
W/C: 2.5
T/W: Pretentious Hipster Levi lol
A/N: Levi is a moody English major who spends his free time reading at the local cafe and yes, I think that is sexy as hell. This is a slowburn piece kinda inspired by the Hulu show Normal People! I love that show but I could never watch it again bc it breaks my heart too much lol. Anyways, I hope you enjoy! (Part Two will be up soon! & this picture is from Pinterest)
I’ve put all the parts in one list here: New Light Masterlist
“I just don’t get it.” You huffed and leaned back into your chair.
“Don’t worry, this stuff takes time to learn!” Hange looked at you earnestly.
The two of you had been studying at Maria’s Coffee for a few hours. Your genetics midterm was in a few days and you were completely lost. You met Hange on your first week, you anxiously walked into the lecture hall thinking this would be an easy pass to fulfill your science credit. Oh boy, were you wrong. Immediately, you were thrown into the depths of mitosis and chromosomes. The only good thing that came out of it was your new friendship with Hange. On your first day, Hange complimented your sweater and asked if they could sit with you. Hange was a genetics major so this class was easy, hell, it was fun for them. They offered to tutor you so you bought them coffee during your study sessions in return.
“Yeah, you’re right but still,” You said in between sips of your coffee. “How do you like this stuff?”
“Oh, it’s fascinating to me, it’s crazy how we’re made up of tiny cells and in those cells is our human history but we can’t even see it. It’s like the world’s smallest yet most important puzzle.” Hange’s eyes lit up as they continued speaking.
You listened and continued to drink your coffee. It was late but the cafe was still busy with college students hurrying to type their papers and study for tests. The lamps left soft yellow shadows on the cream colored walls. The cafe was homey and it felt like it was a cottage pulled straight out of a forest. From the back of the cafe, you could see the entrance. It was raining and people ran across the sidewalk with their jackets over their heads. You laughed through your nose.
“Hey! Are you listening?” Hange questioned.
“What? Of course, I am. Science is the answer to everything, right?” You quipped.
Hange rolled their eyes and went back to their textbook. You kept your eyes on the front door. It had been a few days since you had seen your coffee shop friend. The word friend was a loose term for your relationship with the dark-haired boy. Your relationship started one day when you were sitting in the spot you are now, it was late, close to 1 am and after downing two cups of coffee you needed to pee. Across from you was a small man holding a used copy of Slaughterhouse Five, he was dressed in all black and was munching on a muffin. You asked him to watch your stuff, he nodded and pushed his hair away from his gray eyes. From that point on, you developed a friendship founded on your mutual respect for privacy yet concern over each other’s well-being. It became an unspoken rule that this was the only place you would meet. Your attention returned to your work, if he wasn’t going to show up then whatever, he was just another stranger.
“Hange, I think I’m gonna call it a night.”
“What?! Why?! We haven’t even gotten to the good part, wait until you hear about what happens to the amino acids during replication.” The same familiar look of excitement washed over Hange’s face.
“Look as exciting as it all sounds, I’m gonna have to pass.” You began to gather your things when the front door opened. You looked up and saw the dark-haired boy. He looked as pretty as always with a beige tote bag draped across his shoulder, droplets of rain hung onto his dark strands. Next to him stood a tall, handsome blonde man who was looking around the cafe. His eyes stopped when he reached your table and he lifted a hand and waved at you. You looked at him confused.
“LEVIIII!! ERWIIIN!!” Hange yelled and waved their arms. People looked up at them with annoyance.
“Wait, you know them?” You asked.
“Who, those idiots? Yeah. I forgot to tell you I invited them to study with us. Levi promised to help me write a paper,” Hange said nonchalantly. “Shit! I should have asked you if that’s okay. Is it?”
You looked down and felt your face redden, “no worries, it’s not a problem.”
“I’ll introduce you to them, they’re buttheads but they don’t bite.”
You sat back down and looked at your notebook as the dark-haired boy and the tall blonde walked towards you. A bundle of nerves planted themselves in your stomach but you couldn’t understand why. You’ve known this man for a couple of months now, slowly building a friendship at your own pace. It was nice to have control over something in your life for once but life always has a different plan for you; it was time to properly meet the dark-haired boy. All rules are eventually broken.
You ruffled the papers in front of you and took another sip of your drink but it was empty. Shit, you thought. The two men were standing in front of you and Hange at this point. The dark-haired boy looked at you, his brows furrowed.
“Hey, you’re House Coffee,” he said in a monotonous tone.
The blonde man and Hange looked at him confused, “wait, you know her?” Hange asked.
You shook your head, “nope.”
The dark-haired boy looked at you confused.
“Well, kinda, actually,” You muttered.
“Huh, that’s cool!” Hange announced. “Levi’s a little bitch but you probably already knew that.”
“Shut up, Four Eyes,” Levi retorted.
The blonde man laughed, “my name is Erwin. I’m a Political Science and History double major.” He gave you a dashing smile and lifted his hand.
Levi rolled his eyes, “humble much?”
Erwin gave him a glare before returning his clear blue eyes to you. You chuckled and raised your hand to his. It was a firm handshake.
“My name is (Y/N), it’s very nice to meet you, Erwin. And it’s Levi, right?” Your head turned to the dark-haired boy and he blushed slightly. Hange and Erwin exchanged a look.
Hange raised their hands slightly and asked, “I’m confused.”
“When aren’t you.” Levi remarked.
“Oh, shut it you. I thought you two already knew each other.”
You placed your hands around the empty mug, hoping it would stabilize your nerves. “Know might be a strong word, I guess we’ve seen each other here before?“ You shrugged and looked at Levi.
He nodded, “I agree, we sometimes look after each other’s stuff and talk about books.”
“Good to know. I’m glad Levi has someone else to talk to,” Erwin declared.
They pulled out two chairs and placed them around the table. Erwin pulled out his laptop and his binders, everything was color-coordinated down to the tabs and pens. Levi pulled out a yellow notepad and a beat up copy of On the Road and single black pen. He tried his best to act natural but was unsure how to act around you and his friends. He wasn’t prepared for his two worlds to crash, it wasn’t that he was ashamed to know you. He enjoyed your company but it was something that was special to him. He didn’t want to share those precious late night hours with anyone else but you.
“I’m going to go buy a tea, (Y/N) do you want anything?” Erwin said pointing at your empty cup.
“Uh no-” You were about to say before Levi interrupted you.
“12 oz house coffee, splash of soy,” He stated.
Hange raised their eyebrows, in all their years of friendship he had never bothered to learn their coffee order. Erwin was equally as surprised. You stared at Levi, unsure what to say.
“Alright, you got it,” Erwin said before grabbing your empty mug.
Levi and Erwin got up and walked to the front counter. Hange grabbed your arm and you looked at them surprised.
“How long have you known Levi?” They whispered.
“Uh, like I said, ‘know’ is a strong word but a couple of months. We just sit near each other and sometimes talk. It’s not a big deal.”
“I can’t believe Levi didn’t tell me he knew you,” Hange said in disbelief.
“Did you tell him about me?” You retorted
“No but still. If I knew my two friends knew each other, I would have set this study party together a long ass time ago.”
You shrugged and went back to looking at your notes. By this time, Levi and Erwin were walking back to the table. Erwin was holding a mug of tea and your coffee, Levi was holding a mug of tea in one hand and an apple muffin in another. Erwin handed you your coffee and you thanked him. He sat in front of you and Levi opposite of him. Erwin cleared his throat and asked, “how do you guys know each other?”
“We met in genetics class,” You responded.
“You’re a science major, too?”Erwin asked.
“No, I’m a humanities major but I still need my science requirement so I’m taking this class and majorly regretting it.”
“Hey, it’s not all bad. We’re friends now,” Hange nugged their elbow at you, you gave them a smile and nodded.
“What a reward,” Levi muttered.
You held back a laugh which made Levi smile, he hid it behind his book.
“How do the three of you know each other?” You pointed to the trio.
Hange shot up from their text book and exclaimed,“oh, (Y/N) you’re going to love this so it all started four years ago…”
It was their freshman year, Levi’s uncle had just dropped him off at the dorms and left him alone to unpack. Levi didn’t have much except for a suitcase of clothes, a bed sheet set and a small box of books. He started to put his clothes away in the drawers when the door opened and a lean, tall blonde boy and his father walked in, pulling a cart of the boy’s belongings.
“Hi, you must be my roommate. My name is Erwin,” he stood at the doorway awkwardly waving at Levi.
“Levi.”
“Hello, I’m Erwin’s dad, nice to meet you.”
Levi gave him a small smile and continued to organize his side of the room, it took about fifteen minutes in total. After Erwin’s dad left, Levi and Erwin sat on their respectives beds in silence. It took them awhile but eventually they bonded over their mutual love of Russian poetry. Over the next few weeks, they built a symbiotic relationship filled with chore charts and late night study hangs. Levi genuinely enjoyed Erwin’s presence, he was his first friend outside of his hometown. Erwin felt the same way too. He never had a huge opportunity to meet people since he was homeschooled until his final two years of high school. They had found a companion in each other.
The week before Thanksgiving break, Erwin convinced Levi to host a small gathering in their dorm. Levi hesitantly agreed and Erwin managed to get his hands on a weed brownie. They invited a few of their floormates and shared the goods and drank a single Mike’s Hard Lemonade that Hange brought. They sat on the concrete floor and waited for the weed to hit after thirty minutes, no one was high. One of their floormates, Zeke, took a whiff of the brownie and laughed.
“Erwin, this is a fucking regular brownie,” he glanced at Erwin who was tenderly sipping out of the bottle. Zeke’s roommate, Porco laughed.
“No, it can’t be,” Erwin responded. Hange looked around nervously and Levi glared at Zeke.
“Ha, whatever. This kickback is lame anyways. Let’s go,” Zeke and the others left.
Hange, Erwin, and Levi stayed in silence for a few minutes until Hange spoke, “I thought it was a good brownie.”
Erwin gave them a half-hearted smile and looked down at the bottle. Levi sighed and walked to his closet.
“Now that those fucktards are gone, let’s have a real party,” Levi said as he pulled out a bottle of Jack Daniel’s.
Erwin looked at Levi, shocked. “How long have you had that?”
“My uncle gave it to me when he dropped me off. As a going away present.” Levi shrugged it off.
The rest of the night was spent taking shots of whiskey and playing cards games, it was the first night of many.
“Wait, really? Erwin you bought a dud brownie.” You held your side as you laughed.
Erwin looked sheepishly at his drink. Levi had a smirk on his face.
“Yeah! Looking back at it now, it’s the funniest thing ever. But those other guys were jerks. I don’t remember their names now or anything but I hope they’re living horrible lives,” Hange proclaimed.
“I believe it and I hope so too.” You wiped a tear from your face and felt Levi’s gaze on you.
Levi had never seen you laugh that hard, he liked this side of you. He went back to notating his book but he couldn’t deny the feeling of warmth in his chest. The four of you remained in comfortable silence for a while. The coffee shop began to slow down as the clock ticked further into the night.
“This has been a lot of fun but I think I’m going to call it,” Erwin’s deep voice broke the silence of the table.
The three of you nodded in agreement and began to pack your bags. You watched Levi’s slender fingers gently put his belongings into his tote bag. His dark hair was getting long, it brushed against his cheek as he moved his body. You looked away quickly, you knew nothing could happen between the two of you but watching him interact with his friends casted a new light on him. Levi, what a name, you thought. For the past couple months, he was your secret friend, someone you could talk to without feeling judged because he was so removed from your everyday life but now, it was different. You both shared a mutual connection and of course, you shared the countless hours spent in this cafe.
The four of you made casual conversation as you exited the cafe. The cold air whipped your face and you tugged your scarf tighter around your neck.
“Hey, do you need a ride? I’m parked a block away,” Erwin asked you.
“Don’t worry, hot stuff. I’ll walk her home.” Hange winked at Erwin, Levi rolled his eyes.
“I live a few blocks away but thank you. It was really nice to meet you Erwin and Levi it’s nice to finally know your name.”
Levi looked down at the ground and a pink glow appeared on his face, “yeah, this was nice.”
You watched them turn around and walk in the opposite direction for a moment before turning to Hange. The air was cool and the clouds had parted, leaving open an endless sky peaking through the buildings and the trees. It had become a ritual for the two of you to walk home after study sessions since you lived a few blocks away from each other. Hange made casual conversation on your walk home but you hardly paid attention. You kept on thinking about Levi and wishing you never learned his name.

EPILOGUE | previously: part 14 | masterlist
pairing: Katsuki Bakugou x fem! reader
ratings/warnings: swearing
synopsis: When UA’s hot heads, Katsuki Bakugou and you, are forced to put your hatred for each other aside and plan the third year Prom, things end up getting a little heated...
a/n: hi hi!! sad to say that this is the end friends :(( i loved writing this fic and i hope you all loved it too💕 currently i don’t have any concrete ideas for another project but hopefully i get a striking of inspiration soon lol✨ thank you again for all the support:)) enjoy xx
•
epilogue: not all that bad
“Oi Kacchan, remember that time you confessed your love for Y/N in front of the entire third year class at Prom and then proceeded to make out with her on stage for all your classmates and teachers to see? Because I remember that.”
Bakugou groaned, smacking Kaminari upside the head.
“OUCH-”
“Shut it Pikachu.”
You sat with your friends and boyfriend in the common area. Much to your surprise, Bakugou is super clingy. Always an arm around you or simply holding pinkies. Now, you sat on his lap, his arms around your waist keeping you close.
“Aw Katsuki, you’re just a big softie,” you teased. He huffed.
“You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“Am I cute Kacchan?” Kaminari and Sero began to make miss faces at your boyfriend, causing you to let out a few laughs. Bakugou found it less amusing.
“I swear if you-”
“HEY!” You looked over to see Mr. Aizawa, demanding your attention.
“What’s up Mr. Aizawa?” asked Deku.
“Quirk test. You have fifteen minutes to meet me changed and ready at the field. Go get ready,” he explained. You raised a brow.
“But sir, it’s after school hours,” You said. Aizawa sighed.
“And? Now you have about fourteen minutes. Hurry up.” Aizawa turned around and left the dorms. You and your friends were a bit puzzled.
“Well guess I’ll see you all out on the field,” you shrugged. You got up from Bakugou’s lap and began to head for the locker rooms. Bakugou grabbed your hand, pulling you back towards him. He kissed the top of your head before going his way as well.
“Why would Aizawa call for a quirk test at 8 o’clock at night?” questioned Uraraka.
“Beats me. Probably just an attempt to send one of us home before graduation,” you joked.
“Wait you don’t actually think that’s why?” said Mina, now worried. You shook your head.
“Of course not. Anyway, the only people he’s actually threatened to expel are me and Bakugou. And, since Mr. Grumpy was satisfied with our Prom, he said we were okay...for now at least.”
You walked down to the field with your classmates, changed and ready to go. Mr. Aizawa was already waiting for you all.
“Okay. One-on-one battles. Quirk comparisons. Everyone get in a line,” ordered Aizawa. You followed instructions and scrambled into a horizontal line with your classmates.
“Bakugou, Y/N, you’re first.”
Your eyes grew.
“Mr. Aizawa, their explosions are gonna wake up the whole campus,” protested Kaminari.
“Not to mention you’re making the couple go against each other. Well played,” laughed Sero.
“Why should that matter? I need to see where their quirks stand and the best way to do that is go against each other. Since they have such similar quirks, putting them against each other after such extensive training will help set them apart,” explained Aizawa, “and not to mention, Y/N and Bakugou are currently tied for the number one spot in class. So you could say this will determine who is number one and number two.”
At the sound of Aizawa's words, a fire lit beneath you. Boyfriend or not, you weren’t gonna lose.
You stepped onto the field with Bakugou. You each had a couple hundred feet between you.
“Listen Katsuki, no hard feelings for when I kick your ass. It’s nothing personal,” you smirked. Bakugou chuckled.
“Oh that's cute, princess. Don’t think that pretty face of yours will make me go easy on you. At the end of the day, you know you’re mine. Kicking your ass is just a bonus.” Bakugou began to prepare his explosions.
“Loser owes the other ramen?” You proposed, beginning to prepare your bonds as well.
“Deal. You know how I like mine.”
“All I know is that yours is gonna taste like a big bowl of second place.”
“Enough talking. You’ve got five minutes. Go,” Aizawa commenced your quirk battle.
“I’ve got a feeling this is gonna take a lot longer than five minutes,” sighed Kirishima. Mina smiled.
“I‘ve got the same feeling.”
~
“I’m surprised that ramen place was even open this late,” said Mina, “or that Aizawa let you order it.”
“Hey now, a bet is a bet,” you smiled. You grabbed the bag holding yours and Bakugou’s ramen.
“Katsuki?” You called. You began to trot over to your boyfriend’s room, waiting for him to open the door. Bakugou let you two inside his room. You took a seat on Bakugou’s bed, handing him his ramen. Bakugou let out an annoyed sigh. You chuckled.
“Take the damn ramen explosion boy. We tied anyway so Aizawa’s gonna test again tomorrow before class ranks are finalized,” you smiled.
“I got distracted. I would’ve won.”
“Well just have to see tomorrow,” you teased.
You and Bakugou enjoyed your ‘shared victory’ ramen before curling up together on his bed. Bakugou traced circles along your back slowly as you laid on his chest.
“I could stay like this forever,” you whispered.
“If that’s what you want, then we can,” smiled Katsuki. You looked up at him, reaching up to give him a quick kiss.
“I love you.”
“I love you too dumbass.”
“You know what Katsuki, you’re not all that bad really,” you teased. Bakugou chuckled.
“It only took you three years to figure that out dumbass...but thanks.”
“You know what we should do?” You suggest.
“What?”
“Plan the graduation party.”
“Hell no.”

Shinso Reacting To You Saying You Love Him
Got this request from anonymous! Please enjoy this!! :)))
Request: Can you please do Shinso with a y/n that confesses that they love him? If you don't want too, that’s all good! Hope you’re doing okay! Stay safe :))))
Music To Listen To While Reading! It’s Opinional.
Warning: One cuss word from Shinso, some alcohol and just Fluff |(• ◡•)|
However, today, hasn't been the greatest for you, mentally. You've been just, really sad and feel like nobody cares about you..You've been just ordering fast food, eating Icecream, and drinking wine continously.
It was in the middle of December, to be exact. Almost Christmas. Today was the 23d of December, you were Shinso's Best friend. You’ve known him since kindergarten, he would always make you smile, laugh in the bad times. You had always felt feeling for him ever since you met him in preschool, even though you were in a relationship, well not anymore. He was someone you could lean your shoulder on, cry too and call at 3AM and talk too, even if he was a bit annoyed. Today, you weren't doing well mentally at all. You've been staying at home, ordering fast food and just drinking alcohol all the time. You're ex has been texting you non stop to forgive him and that he's sorry, he won't do it again.
But you can't forgive him, not after what you saw/heard..He cheated on you with you're best friend. You were on the way home cause you stayed later at you're Job/School than expected. Once you got back to the house, you went inside: taking off you're coat and placing you're purse on the chair. But you noticed something. You saw candles lit everywhere, some undergarments on the floor and finally. You heard the bed upstairs, squeaking and some muffled moaning. You knew exactly what was happening, you immediately started crying.
You grabbed you're coat, purse, and left while slamming the door, signaling that you were there, and were aware was going on. After that, you just couldn't face you're ex anymore. You asked some of you're friend's to get you're stuff, and they agreed. You rented out an apartment, which was okay. Atleast you have a home, that has warmth and some room.
You've had enough..You wanted to meet shinso, as he's someone you could trust with anything. So, You decided to walk to a Café that was named, “Caoffee”. You had a quick thought “Why not go in, text Shinso and ask if he is done training with Aizawa-Sensai and see if we can get a quick coffee, I mean it closes in an hour”. You went inside, with a bell signing you were inside. You heard a faint voice in the back saying, “Just a minute, Pick your seat and I’ll be with you!!!” While inside, You could smell brand new coffee that was just made and a mix of vanilla cookies with a fireplace going. You sat down by the window and noticed, it started snowing. You put your phone on the table and texted Shinso saying;
Y/N: “Hey, I don't know if your done training with Aizawa but I’m at Caoffee. Do you wanna come and have a coffee with me? If you’re not too tired of course lol”.
You put down your phone and waited for the waiter to come by. Your phone buzzed within 2 minutes and a text by Shinso popped up:
Shinso: “Hey Y/N, Yeah I’d love too. I actually just got done 5 minutes ago, I’ll start heading over and try to be there in time. How are you feeling?”.
You smiled very softly and texted back saying;
Y/N: “It’s all good, I’m okay. Just a bit sensitive, and I’ll be waiting! :)
You put it down to wait for Shinso, the waiter and watch the snow fall. The waiter came out a few minutes later and said “Thank you for the wait, I hope I didn’t keep you long. What would you like?” You gave the waiter what you wanted, which was a coffee of your choice and a few muffins. You waited for your order, While waiting. You heard the bell ring very softly and hear a low sigh. You looked at the door and saw Shinso with a scarf and pink cheeks. He walked by your seat, before he could sit down. You said Hi very happily, got up and hugged him. Which, he was pretty cold.
You sat back down and so did he. He said “Sorry if I took too long, I tried hurrying as it was pretty cold.” You said it was all good and before you could talk more. The waiter came by with you're Coffee and muffins, The waiter dropped them off, bowed and said “Please enjoy these! Please tell me if you need anything else!”. You nodded and said thank you. You and Shinso decided to talk about random things, such as School, Cats, Homework, the weather and Etc. You than get a buzz from your phone saying;
“Greeting everyone, I hope you guys are doing well. Today, the weather is gonna get a lot worse as you see, it started snowing. Sooner or later. Maybe in a hour, it will be a snow storm. Please get home as possible before it happens and you are left outside! Also, School is canceled for the rest of the week and so is work! Please enjoy the holiday and stay safe!”.
You look at Shinso and said “Well, why don’t we go to you’re apartment and stay there? If that’s okay with you..” Shinso Replied with, “yeah! of course, why don’t we pack these things and get going..?” You nodded your head, got up, payed and left. It was snowing pretty heavily and by the time you got to Shinso’s apartment, your hair was white. You got in, took of your coat and turned to Shinso, who was doing the same. You than get settled in by going to the kitchen and making yourself a sandwich, while Shinso decided to get wood from the basement so he could make a fire in the fireplace.
While walking to the living room to watch some TV, your legs decided to give up and you tripped. Before you could hit the ground, you felt someone hands on your waist and bring you back up. Your eyes met with purples ones, you knew who it was and your guys face was pretty close, Shinso decided to ask; “You okay..?” and you nodded very quickly with a red blushy face. Before Shinso could walk off, you grabbed him by his turtle neck and kissed him very passionately.
—
You closed your eyes but, you could feel Shinso’s eyes on you. You slowly stopped and back up. You saw Shinso eyes wide and pretty surprised. You said “I’m su-super sorry, I have no idea what came over me..I-I can leave-” You went to turn and grab your stuff but, before you could do that. You felt Shinso grab your shoulder, turn your head and kiss you passionately.
You guys broke apart a few minutes after, and he quickly said “No, I don’t want you to leave, especially in this cold? No. And, I've love you, since we met. And to be truthful, this was pretty much my plan from the start.” You stared at him and look very confused. he decided to talk in the silence that was staying “Ever since you started dating that Asshole, I got pretty jealous as I’ve liked you since, we we’re kids. I got frustrated and sad that, I couldn’t have you by myself. So I decided to wait till Christmas, to put a Mistletoe where we would sit/stand and kiss.” You said “Wha-What? You’ve liked me? Why didn’t you say anything and-” Before you could say the rest, Shinso pointed to the top of the kitchen door way and you saw a mistletoe.
You gasped pretty loud and Shinso said “I’ve loved you Y/N, and I’m quiet sad it didn’t end up how I wanted it too, but at least I got to kiss you and I’m happy that you like me back.” You blushed and smiled. You guys both agreed too watch TV and cuddle till the end of the week.
Authors Note: I had a lot of fun writing this, hope y'all enjoy this! Sorry if I made any mistakes, not best at English.

It’s The Little Things [Duncan Shepherd x Jim Mason]
Summary: Just a little domestic fun between Duncan and Jim through the art of food. Guest starring you and Michael.
Warnings: mentions of drug use, just fluff really, swearing
WC: 1.5k
A/N: This was long fucking over due as are many other things that I’m currently working on. I need to work more on my soft side lol. Part of my little Duncan x Jim series that can be found on my master list, here. Thank you for reading! -Juno
GIF by witch
"Don't you fucking do it, Michael." Jim said, gripping the Nintendo switch controller with force. But Michael was already doing it. He threw the infamous blue shell Jim's way, it quickly catching up to him in first place, Michael trailing behind in 2nd. Poor fool, however, too close to Jim, is affected by the blast too, giving you the 1st place advantage and win.
"Fucking idiots." you stated, simply.
"Bullshit." Michael said, reaching for the last bacon-wrapped jalapeño popper off the plate in front of them, but Jim had also reached for it too. It was routine. You and Michael would come over every other Sunday for dinner, usually Jim's cleaning day. And while either Duncan or Jim cooked, games were played, drinks made.
"Let it go." Jim said, challenging Michael with his eyes. "You literally just ate one."
"And you ate the more than half of the plate." he said back. "So you let go."
"I grabbed it first." Jim began to pull it towards him, not caring if his fingers were getting messy.
"Oh fuck off." Michael pulled it back towards him and now the boys were pulling with a force, but not too much, not wanting to snap it in half. Could you blame them for their childishness though? At first glance, Duncan didn't seem like the type to be the master in the kitchen, but he sure was. Wanting to give Jim a break because he's literally been cleaning all day, Duncan offered to cook. Jim's favorite was Duncan's grilled cheese. 7 different types of cheese, turkey, ham, lettuce, and a killer salsa for a fresh taste, it was basically a heart attack on bread, but Jim fucking loved it.
The two were snapped out of their intense gaze when you walked over, snatching it from between their fingers and popping it in your mouth before plopping back down on the couch adjacent to the one Michael and Jim sat on. You returned to whatever you were doing on your phone as if nothing happened, running your tongue over your top set of teeth.
"Problem solved now, yes boys?" you questioned, not pulling your eyes away from your phone. "Maybe you should see if chef Shepherd will give up some more." Michael reached for the plate, but Jim snatched it away from his hand, wanting to be the one that goes into the kitchen to bother Duncan.
In the kitchen, stood Duncan in one of Jim's t-shirts and a pair of sweatpants that hung a little bit off his waist. He scanned quickly over his cookbook, one that he put together himself to save all of his favorite recipes. Really, it was Jim who brought out the inner chef in Duncan. He cooked for Duncan nonstop. By the time Duncan had his eyes open for work at 7:00AM, his breakfast was already on the table with his morning coffee. Jim more than had the opportunity to sleep in considering he didn't have to be at work until noon, enjoyed cooking for his boyfriend anyways.
He made sure Duncan always had something to take with him to work for lunch. There was always dinner when he got home, whether Jim cooked it or ordered takeout. Duncan wanted to return the favor and slowly he began cooking too, starting with his grilled cheese. Soon enough food was something the two found themselves bonding even closer over.
*** "Hey what are you-," Duncan began. "Jim no! Those are for the office party today!"
"Huh?" Jim said, his mouth full of chocolate chip muffin. He had eaten about 2 of them and they were pretty decent in size. Duncan stayed up late the previous night to make them, waiting until Jim fell asleep for this exact reason. If he wasn't stuffing his face with one of Duncan's grilled cheeses, it was his chocolate chip muffins. Melt in your mouth, they were to DIE for.
"You knew that my office party was today. I made just enough for everyone because I didn't want to be up super late."
"So that's why I was alone in the bed until midnight. M' sorry, Dunc. Should of told me."
"Told you?! These are your favorite, would it have mattered?"
"Probably not." Jim chuckled, licking the remaining melted chocolate chip off his finger. "I'll make it up to you though."
He walked over to Duncan, using one of his hands to hold the back of his neck. He glided his thumb slowly in circles over the exposed skin, Duncan shivering in response.
"How so?" He stepped closer, pushing Jim back against the counter, but shoving his hands in his pocket to maintain his dominance.
"I'll make those cookies that you like so much. Y'know? The butter crunch ones with the-,"
"Chocolate chips and almond pieces." Duncan finished his sentence with a heavy exhale, excited to hear those words.
"And I'll make 3 batches. 2 for you and 1 for your people, yeah?"
*** "Ocean eyes we're not going to have any brownies, pot or regular if you keep sticking your finger in the batter." Duncan sighed, high out of his mind trying to move around their kitchen. Jim was pretty high too, with a bad case of the munchies, having smoked again a few hours after they had dinner. He had already finished the party sized bag of cool ranch Doritos, and now he was craving something sweet.
Jim had decided that he not only wanted to make regular brownies, but he also wanted to make edibles as well. A friend of his had invited them to a pool party and what better way to spice it up than with some special treats?
"Okay, just one more." Jim said, going in for another scoop.
"Share though." Duncan said, only now realizing just how hungry he actually was. Sure, the actual brownies would have been a lot more filling, but they were too far gone now.
"Nuh Uh. You said we have to stop." Jim turned his back to Duncan, bowl clenched against his chest. "So we're stopping."
"Jim if you don't set that damn bowl down on the counter so we can finish it together."
*** Plenty of good memories came from the kitchen. There were many days and nights of whipped and butter cream filled kisses. One too many glasses of wine or one too many shots. On the nights that the boys did bake together, they found themselves often covered in flour or sugar as one of the two had gotten too frisky, leading to an intense make out session on one of the empty counters or the kitchen island.
There were plenty of jokes told, plenty deep conversations had, and a lot of heart to hearts. If Jim wasn't making Duncan laugh until he either drooled on himself or whatever he was drinking shot out of his nose, the two were complimenting and praising each other. They were always curious to know how each other's day went. Whatever the other wanted to talk about, the other was excited to hear about it. Dinner was never dull between the two, even the times they had fought.
*** "Here try this." Duncan said, sliding his plate over to Jim who peered down at his phone. Jim, hungry, gave it no second thoughts, immediately taking a bite.
"Wow this is a fucking, nut." Jim said as the sandwich basically melted in his mouth. "You like comfort food, huh?"
"College will do that to you." Duncan replied, chuckling at Jim's response. "But I'm guessing you like it?"
"Like it? Dunc, this is genius."
"Well, you're always cooking for me and I wanted to return the favor. It isn't much but..."
"I wish you'd stop doing that. Y'know? Like you always tell me. Own it, scruffy." Duncan gave Jim a closed eye smile at the nickname, referring to his facial hair. "You made this. It was your idea and I love it. Stop always trying to down play yourself, right?"
"So you do listen when I talk?" Duncan joked.
"Mmmph." was all Jim got out, his mouth full of grilled cheese.
"Let me cook for you, then." Duncan suddenly said. "Tonight. Take the night off. Let me spoil you?"
"The more you talk, the more I get like this, raging hard on."
Duncan nearly choked on his drink, laughing at what Jim said. Jim was all like that since the very beginning and it only showed more once they finally moved in together. He was always so playful and immature, but he knew when he needed to be serious. More like, he knew when Duncan was serious. Because face it, Jim could play and make jokes all day. However, it brought Duncan peace and higher sense of humor, something that laid dormant in him while he lived in DC.
*** "Can I kiss the chef?" Jim asked as he approached Duncan from behind, gently setting the plate on the island behind him. He licked the remaining cream cheese off of his fingers from his brief struggle with Michael.
"Depends." Duncan answered, looking at Jim over his shoulder. "Are you actually here to kiss the chef or are you here for something else?"
"Both." Jim answered honestly, wrapping his arms around him.
"Well you can only have one thing and it isn't more poppers."

His Girl pt.2 // Sad Eyes
Summary: Your relationship with Sad Eyes is now known but Spooky loves to mess with his little sister. A sweet and sultry end 🍒
warnings: mild swearing, s m u t 🥵 18+
word count: 2.4k
A/N: twice in one day, who is she? LOL a follow-up to His Girl. Spooky finding out about his little sister and right hand man being a thing! Who else has protective siblings? I hope to see more people write for Sad Eyes, such a stud muffin and we need more gifs. My next fic includes 🧊+ 🎰 with Spooky. Let’s just say what happens there? Stays there.
When you were in 8th grade and Spooky a freshmen, it gave you a little freedom, finally. It meant that you didn’t have to sneak around the hallways to wave to that boy you liked. But Spooky being Spooky had figured it out soon enough. Just as he had figured out now about you and Sad Eyes.
“Snitches get stitches!”
Is what you said that night you found your brother and lover standing outside of your window before shutting it. You all but hoped that he would be a little understanding and give you shit for brief moment but that wasn’t the case. He gave you shit, shit like you were a teenager again.
“What made you think I wouldn’t find out?” Oscar asks you as you sit in silence during breakfast. Cesar has kept his head down the whole time.
You play with the food on your plate, ignoring the comments your big brother has been making since you woke up. This must be hell I’m in? You ponder.
“Didn’t seem to have a clue for the last 3 months..” You say under your breath, Oscar stares at you with a scowl.
When one of his homies mentioned that the summer had been going hard with all these rucas outta high school, someone commented how Sad Eyes was going soft and claimed a ruca before getting a real taste of summer vibes. When asked who, someone slipped ‘your sister’. Sad Eyes never felt holes burned so deep into his skull. When Spooky asked, he had no words. There was rage of course, but if anyone were to date his little sister, who better than is right hand.
But of course, being Spooky, he couldn’t resist giving you shit. Especially for hiding it from him.
“Hm.. well I hope you enjoyed it. No más.” He lights a cigarette, you look to him finally. Your mouth agape, “You heard me.”
“What... I-I’m not a kid!” You slam your hand on the table and he furrows your brows, telling you to calm down,” No, I won’t calm down! I get that you think me dating a Santo isn’t safe but you are my brother for fucksake. Everyone knows it!”
He laughs to himself at your outrage. Oscar continues to eat, you want to flip the table. The Diaz temper present in all 3 of you.
You push yourself away from the table and stomp out of the kitchen and into the your room, slamming the door.
You scroll through your contacts and call him, desperately hoping your brother hadn’t murdered him himself or send the other Santos on him. Despite a few attempts to get in contact, to no avail. Oscar is going to get it, he wants to give you hell? You were gonna give him hell.
It didn’t take long for Oscar to bring home a hyna. You sat in the living room one night when he enters with her.
“Hm, jumping back in the game quick?” You comment, sipping on a coffee. He glances at you briefly, as he pulls the girl through the house. He stops and sees Jasmine in the kitchen, she waves and the hyna gags. Egg salad.
“Um, maybe I’ll call you.” She pulls her hand back and exits the house. You are dying of laughter, the silent kind of laughter. Head tipped back and tears falling.
Oscar gives Jasmine a look and then turns to stand in front of me, “You serious?”
“Oscar, 1. Y/N, 1, bitch. You gonna learn real quick who ran this shit while you were gone. You fuck with my dick intake and I fuck with you hyna intake. Goodnight, mano.” You push past him to join Jas in the kitchen.
Your brother seethes in anger. If you two were in high school, he’d do as he use to and pull your ponytail to fight you on the ground. You have the scars to prove all the physical fights you got in.
☹☻☹☻☹☻☹☻☹☻☹☻☹☻☹
You and Oscar were petty with each other like old times. He couldn’t help it but he has bigger fish to fry now so he green light to Sad Eyes.
“Com’n, we’re going to pool.” Oscar tells you as you lay in your room, you roll your eyes but agree to because of the heat wave that rolled in.
You get changed and head to the pool with your two brothers.
It’s a nice day at the pool, perfect for tanning. You lay on your back, sunnies on.
“Hola mami.”
You hear a familiar voice, peer over your glasses and rest on your elbows, you see a shirtless Sad Eyes standing in front of you. He set his things down beside you nodding to your brother. Your brows furrow.
“Puto!”
Sad Eyes grabs his shoulder that you hit and laughs. He knew that meant that you understood exactly what that head nod meant. No phone call or texts, Oscar reminding you for the past couple days who runs the ship now, all the shit you’ve been given!
“You think you two are soooo funny, hm?” You can hear Oscar laughing in the pool. “Puto I fucking swear.”
Sad Eyes laughs a little more before kissing yourcheek, “Lo siento, mi amor. I had a couple runs I needed to do and he thought it would funny to just mess around with you. He gave me some hard shit for keeping us on the DL. But all in all he thinks it’s better than dating some pendejo.”
You roll your eyes, flipping over onto your stomach. His eyes go to your ass, sharply inhaling air. He missed his mujer.
“Too bad because it seems I am dating one.” You turn your head away. “You realize because you think this is so funny that you get it twice as bad, right? So your 3 days times 2... 6. 6 days you’ll spend being ignored by me. And my kitty and my mouth.”
He laughs at you pettiness. You hear the sunscreen bottle cap and turn to see him rubbing the lotion on his tan skin. The devil in you is forcing you to watch. You can’t look away.
“Need more?” He asks you. You shrug and move your hair over your shoulder. Sad Eyes takes some in hand and rubs them together. His hands smear the lotion on your backside, massaging it into you skin. Oh man, you haven’t felt his hands on you in days.
No! Don’t fall for this!
It’s when his hands move over your ass that you jump. He lets out a breathy laugh and massages for a second before removing his hands.
“Brave.” You comment.
“Yearning.” He slaps your ass and you squeal, looking towards the pool to see Oscar distracted.
After needing to ask God to control your body before jumping his bones right there, you and your brothers head home and get things going for the weekly Santo gathering.
“So he really doesn’t care?” You ask Sad Eyes as he sits against the headboard of your bed, smoking a blunt. He nods as he watches you get dressed.
“The black one.” He says as you look between two blouses. You hold it against your chest and licks his lips. “Hm.”
You set it down and untie your robe, letting it fall from your shoulders. You can hear the moment Sad Eyes loses his breath. Your black lace thong and matching bra clinging to you body so perfectly. He feel himself strain against his shorts.
“New set, like it?” You turn and let him see your ass. His eyes does all the speaking. “Too bad we got this party tonight.”
He stalks over to you as you stand in front of your body mirror. Towering behind you, he steps extra close to you, “I don’t know, mami. Heard that shit is going to be lame.”
You restrain your grin as he pulls your back against his chest, hands on your hip. Your push your ass into groin area and he groans into your ear. His breath hitting your neck as you watch him loosen him.
“Hmm, I don’t know. My mans pissed me off and I wanna show him what he missing.”
“Fuck him.” He pushes his hands down your thighs, using his knee to hit your legs apart. You feel a tingle hit your core immediately.
Sad Eyes steps back and pulls his shirt off and sits on your bed. You give up, once that damn shirt is off there is no resistance. You walk over to him and straddle his lap, feeling his broad shoulders and pushing him down. He watches you with complete lust in his eyes. Those 3 days away from his bebe has been torture.
“You really pissed me off you know, not giving me a heads up about your run. I thought my brother literally killed you.” You push his hands up from where they were resting and hold them above his head. He bites his bottom lip as your boobs hover over his face.
“Forgive me, mami. Lemme make it up to you.”
He lifts his head to plant kisses on your chest, licking your cleavage and earning an involuntary moan from you. He smirks at this and takes the opportunity to overpower you and flip you two over. He sits on his knees and kisses your torso, slowly. Inching down closer and closer to where you want him most. You watch as he does so, his eyes locked on yours.
Your hips can’t help but squirm, yearning for friction. The man is a complete tease and loves to see you whine for his touch. His breath hits against your inner thighs followed by longing kisses.
“Stop teasing,” You close your legs to trap his head which makes you smirk. He pulls your panties down and tosses them over his shoulder. He listens to you and dives right in. His tongue hot in pursuit on your clit.
The moment he makes contact, your back arches off the bed. You grab a pillow and hold it over your face to suppress the moan that you have no control over coming out. Sad Eyes pushes your legs up at the base of your ass to have nice view and space to put in work. His tongue is lathering your sensitive bud as well as teasing your entrance.
You moan and move, feeling the sensation build. God, how could you have stayed mad at him? He makes you come undone with his mouth, his touch, his body and even a just look most of the time. He set off new things you never felt, physically and emotionally. Though you two never formally spoke of being together nor did he openly claim you, you didn’t see end to being with him.
“Mhmmm,” He hums, sending vibrations through your core and nearly having you cross eyed.
You push yourself on your elbows to watch him. Eyes locked and nothing but sin staring back at you, “Fuck me already.” He licks one last swipe and comes up to kiss you, tasting yourself on his tongue. His hand finds your hips to tell you move up. He taps your ass for you to move on your knees. Face down, ass up his favorite way to have you.
He pulls your ass to press against him. You can feel his erection and how bad he is about to give it to you, “Please, papi.” A hiss escapes you as he lands a smack on your ass. Then another. You finally feel his fingers spreading your arousal to prepare you for him. He soon replaces his fingers with his cock. For a minute, he pushes himself through your folds to get him slicked up too. This alone is enough to send you into oblivion.
You are growing impatient but before you can speak up he slides himself deep into you to the hilt. His impressive size stretching you, a burn starts but pleasure continues. You both groan as he stays in place to get you comfortable. Sad Eyes has you in his control and you are not complaining.
“So warm, all mine. Hm? Tell me.”
You gasp when he pulls your hair back as your skins slap together, “I-I’m yours, only yours, Papi.” He pulls your hair harder to get you to sit up. Your back is pressed against his chest, still getting pounded. He still has his grip on your hair, your cheek pressed against his. Sad Eyes grabs your face to turn you to look at him, his mouth covers yours and you kiss roughly. Tongues fighting for dominance.
The sensation that has been building up is nearing a release. Your moans sound in the room without your control as if he has a control on how your body reacts. Thankful for the music blasting outside and inside your room to muffle the sounds of you both slowly coming undone.
“Oh shiiiit, fuck.” He releases the grip on your hair and lets you fall forward, gripping your hips now and he is pounding into you relentlessly. He pulls out and strokes himself before pushing back into. He does so a few times before he started to pound you again. The pace picked up meant that he is close to release too. You’d be lying to say you were both about to cum together but you ride out your orgasm for him to reach his.
He reaches under you to rub your clit to help intensify your orgasm. And nearly instantly, your body convulses. The pleasure exploding inside you. You are gasping and releasing inhumane sounds from the bliss your body is feeling.
“Fuck.” He says as he pulls out just in time for his seed to spurt on your ass.
Fuck a workout, all you need is this. You’re trying to catch your breath as he gets off the bed and reaches for towel hanging to wipe the mess from you as you still lay with your ass in the air.
“I can’t move, help.” You laugh and he helps you. He pulls you flush against him, your orgasm has your legs weak. Kissing you while feeling your heated body.
“I’ll never get use to this, you know. Not just the fucking you senseless. Just being with you.” He holds your face in his hands. His eyes glint with adoration.
You blush and look away before puckering your lips for another kiss. He complies, “Mmm, good. I don’t wanna get use to it. I wanna have long days and nights with you. For a while.”
He smiles and nods in agreement, “Mi mujer.”

y/n awoke to the sun shining through the window, blinding her. She groaned a little and pulled the covers over her eyes. She hears a soft chuckle behind her, then there’s fingers running through her hair, rubbing her head. She moans in response, “That feels amazing..”
Elijah pulls the covers off her body, just enough to see her shoulders. “Good morning, my love.” He mumbles against the shoulder on her skin, leaving a soft trail of kisses on her shoulder to her neck. He gathers her hair in his hand and moves it off her neck, returning his lips against her skin.
“Good morning.” She shivers against his touch and reaches behind her to run her fingers through his hair.
“Are you hungry?” He whispers in her ear.
She nods in response, “After last night, I’ve worked up quite the appetite.”
He chuckles softly against her skin, his index finger trailing up her thigh to her hip, “Shall we get ready and go out for breakfast?”
She turns around to face him, “What if I don’t want to leave this comfy bed?” She hums against his lips.
“Then breakfast will come to you, my darling.” He presses a soft kiss to her forehead before getting out of bed and slipping pajama pants on. (This was weird for me to write because I can’t imagine him wearing anything else besides a suit lol)
She groans and dramatically flops back over on her back, “I didn’t want you to leave either.”
He gathers her clothes that were thrown around the room and lays them on the small couch next to the fireplace. “Well it’s either I go get breakfast and bring it to you or we both get breakfast together.”
~
As the two of them made their way downstairs, Klaus sat at a table in the courtyard, a grand breakfast in front of them. There was fruit, different pastries, tea, and coffee. Looks like they wouldn’t need to go out to get breakfast.
“Did the love birds enjoy their night together?” Klaus comments, sipping his tea.
Y/n blushed. She’d forgot about that vampire hearing. They must have heard everything. “Since you asked Niklaus, yes we did.” She snapped back, taking a strawberry from the plate, and taking a bite.
“Yes, by the amount of moaning coming from my dear brother’s room last night, I figured as much.”
“Oh Niklaus, leave our brother and the tramp alone.” Rebekah states, coming down the stairs, She had not realized who the girl Elijah had in his room last night.
“Damn, Beck, I’ve been demoted from best friend to tramp?” y/n laughed, turning around to face the original sister, shock written all over her face.
“y/n! I had no idea it was you!” She squeals, wrapping her arms around the human, careful not to squeeze her too much.
Y/n returns the hug, “Well obviously, or you wouldn’t have called me a tramp.”
“What are you doing here! What-I mean you’re not even supposed to know about us.” Rebekah pulls away to look at her friend but before y/n can get a word out, Klaus interrupts.
“Sweet y/n here paid a visit to our dear friend Jane Anne.” Klaus says, standing from the table, “Jane Anne performed some witchy voodoo magic and poof! Y/n’s compulsion is gone.”
“Niklaus, please-” Elijah begins, but is cut short.
“She has just put us all in danger. Including herself.” Klaus spits, pointing a finger at y/n, “We have enemies trying to take us down and if they know she’s the woman you so love and care for, she’s dead. And so are you Elijah.” He then storms off, slamming the door behind him as he leaves.
Y/n looks at Elijah. She is not quite sure what to say. She did not know about the enemies. She did not know her coming back would put her and others in danger.
“Don’t listen to him. He’s just being his normal bastard self.” Rebekah comforts, rubbing her back, “We were in danger way before you arrived.”
Elijah pulls a chair out for y/n, “Come sit and eat. Rebekah’s right, don’t worry about him.”
Y/n takes a seat, “I didn’t know you guys were in danger.”
Rebekah takes a seat next to y/n and Elijah takes the seat across from them. He hands the girls a plate, “Niklaus has had his fair share of enemies, but there’s a group of rebellious vampires who don’t want Niklaus to rule over the quarter. They want the “kingdom” to themselves.”
Y/n begins fixing her plate with some fruit and a muffin, “If they’re just vampires, can’t you guys take them out? I mean, you guys are originals. Way stronger and powerful than them.”
“The rebellious vampires have some kind of… weapon. We believe it’s a powerful witch. It’s thought that they have her hidden under ground and no one has ever heard or seen of her.” Rebekah says.
“Niklaus is on edge with everything going on. He wants the witch that’s strong enough to kill him, but no one will talk.” Elijah adds.
Y/n picks at her muffin, “I know I’m only a weak human, but I am more than willing to help you guys.” She looks between Elijah and Rebekah, “With whatever you guys need.”
Elijah reaches across the table to take her hand, “There’s no need for that. I believe we have it handled. There are enough vampires on our side to help us fight this. We also have our own witch, our sister Freya.”
“You guys have another sister?” Y/n asks shocked. Lots of things had changed since they erased her memories.
~
Days went by. Elijah had gone to y/n’s hotel room and retrieved her things and brought them back to the compound. She had agreed to stay at the compound with the Mikaelson’s so they could protect her, in case there was word about her to the rebellious vampires. It had been almost a week and she had to admit she was going stir crazy sitting around. Elijah sat in his study at his desk, when she walked in and came up from behind him, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“Elijah..” She whispers in his ear.
He rubs his hand along her arm and kisses it, “Yes, love?”
“Can we please go out tonight? I’m going crazy being cooped up in here.” She groans.
He turns his chair around to face her, pulling her into his lap, “You know I can’t allow that…” He says softly, pushing a piece of hair out of her eyes, “I have to keep you safe and that means staying here.”
She pouts, “Fine..”
He kisses her pout, “Why don’t you, Rebekah and Freya have a girls night or something? You can watch movies and whatever else you girls do on a girls night.” He chuckles.
Y/n sighs and nods, getting off his lap, “Okay.. I’ll go talk to Rebekah.”
As she starts to walk away, he grabs her hand, causing her to turn and look at him, “I only want to protect you.” He stands, “I would never forgive myself if something happened to you.” His hand goes to her cheek.
She leans into his touch, her free hand going over his, “I love you, Elijah Mikaelson.”
He places a soft kiss on her forehead, “I love you too.” He pulls her against his chest, hugging her close, “So much.”
~
“Come on Rebekah, I’ll have you, an original vampire, and Freya, a witch to protect me.” Y/n begs. She’d found Rebekah and Freya and begged them to take her out tonight for a girl’s night. Rebekah didn’t like the idea at all.
“If Elijah knew I let you leave and went with you, he’d dagger me.” Rebekah says.
“If you two don’t go with me, I’ll just sneak out by myself tonight. Then I will be out in the quarter, all alone. Without any protection.” She crosses her arms over her chest in defiance.
Rebekah narrows her eyes, “You wouldn’t.”
Y/n shrugs, “You know me well enough to know that I will. I’m not scared.”
“Rebekah, we can dress her up, do her make up and make her unrecognizable. No one will know it’s her.” Freya bargains.
Y/n smiles, wrapping her arm around Freya’s shoulder, “Maybe I’m best friends with the wrong sister. Thank you, Freya.”
Rebekah rolls her eyes, before agreeing, “Okay fine. We do your make up, hair and dress you up. And you don’t leave our sight.”
Y/n nods, “Sounds like a deal to me!”

2. FREAKING SUPER HERO
Dean’s Pov
All the lights. This apartment is big, and its windows are too. I look at the regular shadows of the metallic lines of the windows that divide her bedroom door into bended squares.
She offered us to stay at her place, opened the sofa bed, and disappeared behind that door. I just can’t sleep, again. I try to imagine I’m in my bedroom in the bunker, or on Baby’s backseat, but everything is so new to me here. I lost my bearings.
I stare around, my eyes wide open, now used to the weak darkness. Is it possible that she’s just better than us ? Like more up-to-date, trained by the cruelty of huge cities ? How can she do this alone ?
The walls are covered in those research papers, and, after a while, in the middle of this organized mess, my own name catches my eyes.
I get up in silence, trying not to make the mattress move too much, to let my brother sleep. Is it California that made him so insensible to lights and noises at night ? Maybe…
“Dean Winchester is a demon.” I frown, it’s a printing of a mail she got from someone called thathunter87, she hung it here and made a red line between that and a stolen page of a grimoire about demon cure. Why ?
On the table under all those articles and notes on the wall, a long desk, covered in books, notebooks and folders. It’s like she had hundreds of hunter journals, one for each subject.
Discreetly going through them, I find one called “Winchesters” and a shiver runs down my spine but the thought attached to it never reaches my brain. I open it. There are no photos, just mails from thathunter87 and pages of those Supernatural stupid books.
My eyes widen suddenly, and my heart misses a beat. Next to pieces of the books and a sketch of our anti-possession tattoo scribbled like she was thinking hard, a few words : Was John abusive to Dean ?
“Trouble sleeping ?” a whisper makes me jump.
I turn and my breath gets caught in my throat.
She’s standing in the door frame, an oversized Hocus Pocus t-shirt hiding her upper thighs, and nothing covering her legs.
She looks so different now. Almost… cute. Her worn out t-shirt falling childishly like thin drape on her body, her face freed from any makeup and her hair going in every directions. I can’t help but imagine a morning after…
She walks to me, pushing her messy hair out of her face. And I’m so caught up in this vision that I forget to hide what I was looking at.
“Oh… I’m sorry” she murmurs, taking the notebook out of my hands. “I know it’s not my business.”
I have no idea what to answer despite the thousands questions flying in my skull, and just keep searching her face, loudly cursing at myself in my head.
“How do you know us ?” I finally say low, my pupils dilating at the ray of the night light hitting her collarbone and I try to fight the electric feeling giving me goosebumps.
“Well, the Supernatural books saved my life” her whisper feels like her nails were grazing my back.
“How ?” I dare, my curiosity getting the best of me.
She chuckles but a shadow crosses her face, a shadow of fear and pain, something weak and lonely, everything she usually hides so well.
“Dark days… I… I lived in the street a long time ago” she looks down. “I needed to believe in heroes I guess.”
Her smile is soft and kind for a second, making me almost believe I could take her in my arms, like an old friend, like a lover. But she sighs, and it’s like she had breathe out everything soft, her eyes become stern and her neck straighten.
“Jimmy doesn’t whine too much ?” she asks, pointing at the laundry room with her chin.
“Not a sound” I assure her, and she smiles dangerously.
“I threatened him a lot.”
Reader’s Pov
I walk to the laundry and open the door.
“Ah good you’re there” Jimmy starts right away, making the chair creak. “I-…”
But I cut him.
“One more word and you will regret it, Jimmy. Remember what I said : If my guests sleep bad because of you, I cut your cock, to see if it grows back on an immortal.”
I close the door and give Dean a little corner smile.
Sam grunts and turn in the sofa, taking all the cover with him. I chuckle and take a glass of water from the kitchen sink.
“Sleep, Dean, tomorrow will be a long day” I murmur walking back to my room, hoping my own thoughts will stop harassing me.
*******
I get up and grab my clothes, lazily walking to the bathroom. On my way to it, my eyes glance at the brothers on my sofa, Dean is still not sleeping.
He looks at me in silence, his piercing eyes following me when I cross the room, but I don’t say a word to him. I know he’s familiar with nightmares, he would hear it in my voice.
Having them here somehow brought bad memories. It’s a paradox : They saved me from very bad moments in my life, but meeting them makes me think a lot about those dark times, and since I know they’re in town, my own demons are screaming at me. Or maybe knowing I will see Holloway tonight…
I enter the bathroom and put my clothes on the chair next to the shower. I have to be prepared. In the shower I repeat my plan in my head. I have nothing left to lose, so nothing can end worse than it already is. If I feed, if I become a vampire, I know the Winchesters will end me, and I would finally die peacefully, knowing at least I tried. If I miss Holloway, I will have him next time… If I just die, well it will be over, at last.
Sam and Dean will try to talk me out of it, I know that, and I’ll have to be very firm, because they can’t make that mission fail. There was a time when I needed heroes, now I don’t.
The shower turns cold again, ripping me out of my thoughts, I grunt and rinse quickly under the familiar freezing jet.
Naked, I look at the mirror, using the sight of my scars to focus my anger. This is the cut they made on me to taste my blood, after they killed my family… my finger graze the little straight scar on my arm ; this one is the knife cut I got from that rape attempt when I was in the streets. This is fangs, I hate this one.
Then the transformation starts.
Like every day, I put on my mask : The outfit I use to remember who I am, and to forget who I was.
I feel like putting on an armor the second I start to draw my eye-liner cat’s eye line. And by the time I tighten the ribbons of my corset hard, nothing in me is vulnerable anymore. My back is straight and held, my eyes are dark…
I’m going to kill them all.
Dean’s Pov
She comes out of the bathroom, dressed like that warrior she is, tough and sexy, transformed, unrecognizable, like a freaking super hero.
But I will never forget the cute girl I saw last night.
“I have coffee” she says when Sam sits up, looking around like he was wondering for a second where he was. “And I can make eggs, I don’t want my side kicks to be hungry.”
Her voice sounds slightly different on the word “hungry” and, knowing she lived in the street, I guess she knows what truly hungry is…
I nod and Sam thank her but she’s already in the kitchen. I get up, joining her behind the counter to help her with anything she would need. The truth is, I just want to be around.
I notice a man big jacket on a chair and wonder who she could invite here, despite hunters. Is she really alone ? Does she have friends ? Lovers ?...
“I have no sugar” she states sternly.
And once again, I’m mute, taking the mug she hands me to break eggs in an old pan.
Suddenly, the walls tremble and the power goes off, the only light she had turn on going off, and the few device she has dying. She sighs but keeps cooking on her gas stove like it was nothing.
“Your stomach is noisy” she chuckles.
“Sorry” I mumble, making her raise an eyebrow.
She puts the plates on her coffee table with two cups of coffee, going back to the kitchen to take a mug for herself. Only two plates.
“You don’t eat ?” Sam asks.
“I don’t like eggs” she shrugs. “And I have nothing else, I’ll buy something later.”
“I can go to buy you something” I state, really uncomfortable with her not eating with us.
“Eat, Dean. I can handle myself.”
A knock on the door makes Sam and I frown.
Keeping her coffee cup in her hand, she grabs her gun, puts it in her belt in her back, and walks to the door. Sam and I get up, even if we can’t see the main door from here, we’re ready to fight.
“Hey Y/n. Was it the Winchesters ?” a man voice greets her.
Y/n…
“Yeah. There are no more eggs, I gave them the ones you bought” she answers.
“You feed them now ?” the man mocks. “I bought you a chocolate muffin.”
Why does that annoys me ?
She appears in the room again, followed by this guy, Joe, the bartender. He’s a very tall –Sammy tall- strong guy with long blond hair in a bun. Freaking hipster.
When he sees us, he frowns, and look at her like she was insane.
“What are they doing here ?” he asks, making my brother raise his eyebrows at his rudeness. “Wait, Y/n, did they sleep here ?”
“I invited them” she shrugs, sitting to unwrap her chocolate muffin. “Sam, Dean, this is Joe. Joe, bla bla.”
I can’t help smiling at her attitude, but Joe doesn’t. It’s like he didn’t want us to be here, like he was threatened by us somehow… And it suddenly hits me. The chocolate muffin, the things he “forgets” at her place, the worry.
He’s in love with her.
“I have to buy a few things for tonight” she states, ripping a little part of the muffin between her fingers, to slip it between her lips, licking her index a little when chocolate stick on her skin.
“Do you want me to come with you ?” Joe immediately says and I have to blink to not roll my eyes.
“No” she states, then she turns to Sam. “You already made the cure for your brother, I heard.”
“Y-yeah” Sam hesitates. “But are you sure…”
“Then” she cuts him. “Could you prepare it while I’m out ? I already have all the ingredients… And Jimmy.”
“What are you talking about Y/n ? You’re not doing it ? Tell me you’re not doing it.” Joe asks, looking around and she sighs, getting up.
“Okay listen” she states. “All of you. If you have something to say about my plan, you can walk out the door now. I can do this alone. I don’t need you.”
She puts the rest of the muffin in Joe’s hands and take her coat.
“I’ll be here in a few hours, don’t kill Jimmy accidentally with day light, and don’t, well… I don’t know, be stupid. Sam, the ingredients are on the sill, and if you don’t want to do the cure, just… Okay” she says before she leaves, a silence falling on us.
*******
I don’t like Joe, the guy stayed with us for no reason, like he wanted to survey us.
Sam is looking in the box, trying to find a bowl to mix them. And the bartender and I are left practically staring at each other.
“Did you guys convinced her it was a good idea ?” he finally speaks.
“What do you mean ?” I grunt. “Of course not ! This is a terrible idea. I should go, not her.”
Sam lifts his head form the bowl and looks at me with a disapproving frown.
“She will kill you” Joe chuckles darkly. “You have no idea how bad she needs to get them, you have no idea what she’s been through.”
“Well, I won’t let her get killed by those freaks” I state.
“Dean…” my brother speaks. “She knows them way better than we do, this is her plan, her hunt. I think she knows what she’s doing, and you’ve seen her… She’s a great hunter.”
I sit down, sighing, rubbing my face with both hands. Am I supposed to stay there, watching her run to her death ?
Reader’s Pov
I take another sip of whiskey, letting the smooth notes of blues wrap me in the comfortable atmosphere of the small bar. I knew Joe would stay with them, and looking behind the bar, I give his colleague a little smile.
I sigh with the little bottle in my hand, making the thick poisonous liquid redden the sides of the glass.
I can’t go back to my apartment. They must already be making plans to force me to stay home. I know them. In a way I Know the three of them.
Joe is my friend, and I know he thinks we should be more than that, those ideas of “saving” me spoiling his mind for years, like I was some kind of precious bird with broken wings.
I am not.
I’m not broken or damaged. I’m just furious, a storm of rage boiling in my veins. And he can keep his fairy tales for him. Unconditional love is not going to save me. I told him that, and refusing any kind of proximity with him, I think I made it very clear. But he will always try to save me.
And the Winchesters… They are heroes. Self-sacrifice is burned in their genes. They are as determined to protect everyone they meet, as I am to kill Holloway.
The early winter night is announcing its rise with a pink ink in the city sky. I finish my glass and take my phone.
Did Sam prepare the cure ? I send to Joe.
I get up and walk to the bathroom to check my look on the mirror. Arranging my hair, I practice my smile. It has to be innocent, charming and seductive.
He did. We have to ad Jimmy’s blood but only once you’re turned. Oh God, please don’t do that. Why didn’t you come back ? Where are you ? The night is almost there, and the Winchesters are sneaky. I stayed with them to make sure they don’t rummage through your stuff, but they’re asking questions. Why did you let them stay at your apartment in the first place ? Joe answers in four messages in a row.
Because I don’t really care.
I put money on the counter and greet the woman behind it, getting out.
Dead man’s blood capsules in my purse, my vampire killing knife in my boot, another thin slightly longer blade in back along my spine. The magical burning oil in its little flask. That’s all I can take with me. I stuff my purse with lipsticks, random keys, foundation powder and other useless things, in case someone looked into it.
I will drop my guns and other weapons in the trash cans outside the club. I already spent two hours looking at it to be prepared. I know every entrances.
It’s time.
I walk to the alley I slept in so many nights. I don’t know why I chose to do it here, probably because I so often thought I would die here. It’s smaller than I remember, darker too.
On the wall, the drawing I had made, the anti-possession tattoo my heroes wore in their skin. I was sure it would protect me from my own demons, I was so sure it would. I used to put my hand on it when hunger made me so weak I couldn’t stand, when cold was biting my skin ; and when despair was beating me up, telling myself it would make me go through the night.
At least I thought it helped. The truth is, I was alone, and I was the only one fighting all this, the only one that could help me.
I put my finger on it.
“I met the Winchesters” I whisper to the girl I was, to the childhood that died here, wishing I could hear that in the past. “They’re even more handsome than you thought” I half smile, fighting the tears. “But they are not going to save you. You are. It ends tonight.”
Taking the little bottle in my hand, I close my eyes for a second. I hate vampires. I have to focus on that, I have to be strong, and merciless.
If I become a vampire for good. They have to kill me. I send Joe.
Then I open the flask and drink it in one go.
Dean’s Pov
“She answered !” Joe exclaims, getting up to read her long-awaited text.
When he frowns, my heart starts to beat faster. She never came back and now night is here. I’m going nuts, I can’t just stay on this stupid couch.
“She…” the bartender says, but he doesn’t finish, just showing us the text.
Sam runs to the laundry door and opens it.
“Did she take your blood ?” he almost yells and my pupils dilate.
When the vampire chuckles darkly, Sam turns to us.
She’s already gone.
