Every time I remember that everyone sees colors just a little bit differently, even if they aren’t color blind, my mind just goes insane
#like#think about it#your red and my red are different#maybe by a minute amount but still different#and I’ll never be able to see your red and you’ll never be able to see my red#it’s just crazy#same thing happens to me with the shrimp#that thing can see so much more color than me and I am jealous#imagine if you could see as much color as the shrimp#that would be insane#and you would never know that you could see more colors because you would just think everyone sees this way#imagine being able to see infrared light#and then one day you figure out that most people can’t see the light that’s at the end of the remote when it turns the tv one#and you wouldn’t even have a way to describe the color to someone who couldn’t see it because there’s no word for it#we as humans can mimic the vision of the shrimp by upping the contrast of photos#but we know that’s not what the shrimp sees#the shrimp sees a world far more glorious and colorful than ours#and it doesn’t even know it
