#we aren't really taught about the scarcity from 1939-1941

Oh thank goodness, there's some backstory to this at last.
I just added it to my wishlist, and it made me think of one of my favorite books and movies: 84 Charing Cross Road.
The movie stars Anne Bancroft and Sir Anthony Hopkins and Dame Judi Dench (although Dame Judi isn't in the movie very much).
The book is very good; the movie, though. The movie is heartwrenchingly beautiful, in my opinion. Like Shadowlands, another Sir Anthony Hopkins classic, it's...it's a FILM, not just a MOVIE. And yes, there is a difference, at least to me.
(Holy shit my tags got out of control.)
Another day, another delightful Neil Gaiman story.

EDIT: Where are my manners. The book in question is Once Upon A Tome: The Misadventures of a Rare Bookseller
