He hated seeing his boss with the man.
Of course he hated it, the other harbinger was smug, he acted as if he knew more than everybody else whilst knowing nothing. Decord was aware they'd known each other longer than he knew Sandrone, but in recent years, he'd spent more time with him than Tartaglia had.
It wasn't love, he refused to brand it so. But it was a sense of protection, and Tartaglia was in his way. "Master Marionette." His voice was gruffer than intended as he interrupted the two speaking. Sandrone lifted his head, face obscured by his mask.
It was for his own good, to keep him away from the other harbinger. From all of the other harbingers. They only served to use him, to puppet him. "Do you have a field report, Decord?" Sandrone inquired, gloved fingers tapping the edge of his desk.
Impatient? Decord couldn't really tell. His body language was always neutral, he was impossible to read. A blank slate. Even more reason for him to be protective. "Yes, regarding the situation in Prekrasnaya." A covert mission, one that would surely result in-
"Tartaglia, leave us. I will have the commander bring you those documents in time." There it was. Tartaglia stood straight, no longer leaning on the edge of the desk. His cold stare stopped on Decord, but the agent barely paid it any mind. They never liked each other.
"I'll see you at home!"
Sandrone hummed, not bothering with a proper response. Home, Decord hated that they even bunked together. But regarding the ongoings in Liyue, it was easiest. He bit his tongue. He just wanted the ginger to go away. At least he did after another moment.
"Prekrasnaya."
Decord nodded, taking the folder from his cloak to read out the status report from Maxim. It wasn't that he loved Sulien, even if his cold heart raced at the thought. It was that he cared about the younger man, he had a sense of protection.
It was just a sense of protection.
