Azz-kun is such a proud parent…even though he’s the same age as Iruma, LOL.

Lack of ambition? Clara just proved this wrong last episode and Sabro has his own ambitions…but then again, Azz-kun wasn’t privy to such knowledge.

“Fear 1” is a pun on ikkai (first floor). (At least, that’s what I can assume from context.)

There doesn’t actually seem to be a pun when Azz mentions Execution Cannonball (shokei gyokuhou)…which, I think, is weirder than having a pun in the first place. (The later joke is that Clara says gyouki instead of gyokuhou, which is pretty far off for part of it but completely spot on for the other , so the subbers put in a phrase that matched that kind of pattern in the English as well.)

Rumour has it there’s going to be an Iruma-kun dub. I wonder how they’ll make all the puns work…?

I went back to my old Honeyfeed stories recently and I rediscovered a character that I wrote about a few years ago – Yuki, after the matching character I axed from my original plot of Half-Paid Heroes (because the story I’m referring to is the Honeyfeed version of HPH) – who was partially close-shaven like Fukuda. I gave Yuki such a character design just to set up intrigue, but I didn’t think I’d ever see a similar design to it, ever. Now, here I am.

Narihisago? What a name! I checked what “hisago” means and apparently it means “gourd”.

Is this Kaeru (the one that committed suicide), perhaps, the one in Hondomachi’s head and that’s not actually the case…?

Day 2

 Woke up around 8:20 which is unusual since I usually wake up around noon or so, especially during school days, I freshened up because I had an occasion to attend, a fellowship, Angela, my classmate was the one who invited Me, Shammel and Stephen. I actually finished writing the first out of six days diary and it actually felt pretty therapeutic, to be honest, didn’t expect it would be that long. I was shy and at the same time excited to show it to Kate. So I sent it to her at the same time greeting her a good morning like I promised last night.

 Just as planned the three of us went to the venue which is ironically right beside “Maximus” which is a gay bar, anyway we went up the stairs and we were immediately greeted by of course Angela. The whole fellowship was what I would think just the usual stuff you would see, praise and worship, reading some verses and games with your group. So we ended around 12 pm then we walked to Business Inn to wait for Kitam to arrive and pick us up. Kitam picked us up together with my mom then we went home for lunch, while we were having lunch, Kate and I were chatting a bit about our day, what we were up to, stuff like that. There I was eating when Le’Ann sent me a snap featuring Kate and herself with this cute puffy cheek filter when I saw Kate with the filter on which made her even much much more cute, so cute that I chuckled and smiled so hard that I had trouble eating. Oh, how I wish I could just pinch those cute little cheeks of hers. 

 Afterward, Stephen and Shammel went home to prepare for the debut later that night. So I just decided to write a draft for this but after 30 mins or so my mom told me that she was headed to the salon to get her hair done and I told her that I wanted to drive her there. En route to the salon, we somehow got to the subject of how things are at school that I don’t really like the curriculum implemented by Dep-Ed but what really got me upset is that the school that I currently go to, follows everything to a T also knowing that schools with “good” academic reputations have their students so lax all the time nevertheless I can’t do anything about it (so yeah). My mom even agreed to what I said to some extent so right after I dropped her off I still had to cool my head off a bit thus I decided just like the good old days. I release my stress by hitting the road the feeling of driving at high speeds, the smell of heat coming from the tires and the engine, the smooth cruising on asphalt.

 I drove for an hour or even more, from Lacson St. to San Dionisio Subd. where Shammel lives, while I was driving Brice texted me if I could pick him up and if we could go to the debut together. So I drove to his house which is located somewhere in Bata (I don’t know the exact name of the area he lives in). I also took it as an opportunity to drive some more, cruising around 80-100 kph is such a good feeling, it’s dangerous, though. So, I picked him up then proceeded to Overaux where Shammel and Stephen were waiting, who were all dressed up and ready for the debut. Meanwhile, I was still wearing my hoodie and jeans as it is my daily casual attire (lol). When I got home I obviously tidied up and changed for the debut, By 6:30 PM, Shammel went on ahead as Allijah called him earlier asking him if he could swing by her house and help her get dressed (don’t ask me why). A few minutes after Shammel left, Me, Stephen and Brice took off for the venue of the party which was I assume Lois’ church also it was just a simple party prepared by her family and friends yet a touching one.

 We got there perhaps around 7:10 PM, as we entered the place though it was small, it was decorated simply at the same time it was pretty. The room filled with decor and painted with different shades of blue with white accents. Most of the guests were already there, some of our batchmates were already there; the ladies were the ones doing the debutante’s make up, while the men were finishing up the music selections for the 18 roses dance basically they were the production crew. Not long after that everyone arrived including Allijah and Shammel, then the party officially started as Lois walked towards the seat prepared for her with decor surrounding it. Lois also wore a cute blue dress (I’m thinking blue is her favorite color by this point). It was just a simple celebration but the best part for me was the 18 roses dance especially her last dance with Bryan, I owe a lot to Lois she’s one of my closest friends as well as my ABM buddy (lol).

 It was 9:15 PM when the party ended, Angela and Faith wanted to chill at someplace before they go home. So they asked us (Me, Bryan, Shammel and Allijah) to join them, we had nothing to do but go home so sure why not? I said. We went to “Marketplace” but we were just there for 30 minutes or so because they had do go home early and they don’t drink (alcohol). We just looked for a place where we could chat a bit and sit down have soda or whatever’s on the menu. After they were picked up by their parents, we stayed there until 11 PM yet we still didn’t drink since I wasn’t feeling up to it that moment. I dropped Allijah at her house, since only Brice and Shammel were sleeping over because we had something to discuss.

 As soon as I arrived I had coffee prepared for the three of us, then we went outside and had a wholehearted talk together, I asked Brice something I have been curious about him for a while now but I won’t write it down here as it’s a secret. Now I talked about what made me upset earlier, which was about education as I previously mentioned to gather the opinions of my fellow senior high students. And both of them also agreed and shared what they think about the current situation, I also talked about my social anxiety on how it’s better that I’m glad that meeting them both helped me in a current predicament that I’m in right now. I also shared that even though my social anxiety is getting better each day it’s still there and I’m afraid that soon maybe I’ll experience a setback of some sort. Shammel also shared what he’s going through right now as well as what a certain someone said behind my back that wounded my heart as soon as he said that I became quite emotional it honestly felt I went from 0-100. Before we went upstairs I shared something that occurred Thursday (February 23) on how I was amazed by that and I was heartened over what happened that day. During our talk, I texted Kate that I would be video calling her right after.

 So, as soon as I went upstairs without changing my clothes or even my contact lenses, I immediately called Kate and to my surprise, I realized I wasn’t only talking to her but also her cousins. My timidness got the better of me during that time yet I found her cousins to be fun and that’s an understatement. We talked for a bit as well as to her cousins and Lele of course, even though it wasn’t as intimate than our call last night, the sight of her and hearing her sweet voice especially when she’s speaking in Tagalog which I find extremely adorable is more than enough for me. Also, I got to know her cousins a bit even if it wasn’t in person. I talked to her about what got me emotional earlier and a few chit-chat here and there. We didn’t talk any longer than that though as of course, she isn’t in manila to be with her family over there most of the time, they kindly requested if I could give them a little space to enjoy their short time together. I obviously understood what they wanted and even though I yearned to be with her just a bit more, I was already contented with our short fun video call together.

 Afterward, I just spent the rest of the night fooling around with my friends and thinking of how much I miss her yet I’m happy to see her earlier that she was truly enjoying her time there and to be with her cousins.

So I decided to pick the Top 10 Flyers games this season and yes, a lot of them are from the Flyers winning streak and yes, they are all wins, don’t you judge me. With that, let’s get to it.

10. Flyers vs Canucks (January 12, 2017 – Flyers Win 5-4 in Shootout)

So let me tell you why I picked the latest Flyers win as #10. This was a win that the Flyers needed greatly during that long stretch of losing games. It was a game against a team that had the worst road record in the league. It was one of the last three games before the bye week where they knew teams would be able to catch up to them while they rested. It was a bit of a sloppy game played by the Flyers after they had 16 minutes of penalties but the Flyers had five different players score in the game, something they had in the winning streak but are not currently lacking. Travis Konecny, Sean Couturier, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Brayden Schenn all scored during regulation and Claude Giroux scored the only goal during the shootout. The Canucks had the 4-3 lead going into the 3rd period only for Schenn to tie the game early in the period for his 14th goal of the season and his 10th power play goal of the season. Even though the Flyers got that much needed win, they couldn’t carry that momentum into Boston and then got run over by the red hot Capitals. Yeah. Let’s hope the Flyers perform like they did in this game after the bye week instead of the way they performed against the Capitals.

9. Flyers vs Flames (November 27, 2016 – Flyers win 5-3)

Game 1 of the 10 game winning streak and the anticipated debut of rookie goaltender, Anthony Stolarz. Man, remember him? He was a pretty good goaltender in the two games that he started for the Flyers. Stolarz saved 29 shots on net and allowed 3 goals in his 1st NHL victory. Meanwhile, the Flyers power play got plenty of opportunities to score but only went 1 for 6 from the Flames 34 penalty minutes. Flyers scored three times in the 2nd period, coming from Jake Voracek, Chris Vandevelde and Wayne Simmonds. It’s the game that started it all and led them on that epic streak that I’m sure Flyers fans will never forget.

8. Flyers at Red Wings (December 11, 2016 – Flyers win 1-0 in Overtime)

This game could be judged one of two ways during regulation, pretty boring or pretty exciting. I’m going to take the latter. The goaltenders, Anthony Stolarz for the Flyers and Jimmy Howard for the Red Wings. Brayden Schenn scored the game winner in the 2nd game of his incredible weekend (yeah, the same weekend as the Stars hat trick) and finished the weekend with 4 goals. Flyers outshot the Red Wings 6-1 in overtime. Stolarz collected his 2nd win of the season and his 1st NHL shutout of his career. And game #9 of the 10 game streak was sealed.

7. Flyers at Senators (December 1, 2016 – Flyers win 3-2 in Overtime)

Game #3 of the 10 game winning streak and the night right after Claude Giroux got engaged. (Aww.) And what exactly does the Captain do to celebrate his upcoming marriage? He nets 2 goals including the OT game winner 40 seconds into the overtime session. Yeah, that’s just awesome. Giroux had a total of 12 points in the 10 game winning streak. And that streak just kept going and going after his engagement (Let’s hope that happens with Wayne Simmonds’ recent engagement right? Congrats by the way.) Flyers were down 2-0 late in the 2nd period before Giroux scored his first goal of the game and Michael Del Zotto scored almost a minute later. Everything was good in Flyers land with 3 in a row, well that is until they got 10 in a row at least.

6. Flyers vs Stars (December 10, 2016 – Flyers win 4-2)

Game 8 of 10 was all about Brayden Schenn and Jake Voracek. Voracek collected 4 points with a goal and 3 assists and Schenn completed a power play hat trick in front of the home fans. His 2nd hat trick of the year 2016! He had one back on February 29th against the Flames. (Remember Bra Lady? Yeah, she’s the best. If you don’t remember what I’m talking about or you have no idea, well then shame on you… and then go look her up. She did an interview on Breakfast on Broad and it’s hysterical.) It was the Flyers 2nd straight comeback win, they had tied the Canadiens for the longest streak of the season, and had managed to win 8 straight for the first time since 2002.

5. Flyers vs Red Wings (November 2nd, 2016 – Flyers win 4-3 in Overtime)

Ah I love when the Flyers beat one of the following four teams: The Red Wings, the Capitals, the Penguins or the Bruins. This game was the first Red Wing game of the season. It’s the game where Roman Lyubimov scored his 1st NHL goal of his career. It’s the game where Jake Voracek scored the OT winner off a great pass on the 2-on-1 with Claude Giroux. Flyers were down 2-1 going into the 3rd period and it looked like that streak was about to be broken, that is until Mark Streit (unlikely goal scorer!) tied the game with 1:02 left in the period and took the game to OT. This game continued the streak of the Red Wings not winning in Philadelphia since 1999. That’s a great streak. I love that streak. No win for you Detroit.

4. Flyers at Kings (October 14, 2016 – Flyers win 4-2)

It’s the first game of the season! Oh my goodness! Now why exactly has the 4th game of the season made the top 4 games so far? Two reasons. Reason #1 is that it’s a win. The first of the season. You have several players who are unlikely to score goals, scoring goals. (Talking to you, Boyd Gordon. Yeah, and I’m still shocked that was the first Flyers goal of the season) It was important for the Flyers to get off to a good start, especially when they were starting on the road in the West Coast and were not getting a home game until a week later. Reason #2 is that Sean Couturier scored twice in that game. Yeah, yeah, I’m a little bias, alright? But the Flyers started their 2nd period scoring success in that game scoring 4 goals and outshooting the Kings, 21-9. Yeah, it’s my favorite game of the season for reasons. Number #14 related reasons but let’s be honest, it’s not top 3.

3. Flyers vs Bruins (November 29, 2016 – Flyers win 3-2 in Shootout)

I actually went to this game when I had to be at work at 2 am the next morning and I cried. Not because it was an 8 o clock game and I had to be in at work a few hours later, but for the fact I had to do that AND sit on the edge of my seat for a 9 round shootout. 9. ROUNDS. That was absolutely, insanely brutal for a person who hates the shootout as much as I hate peanut butter. (I don’t need your judgments, quit throwing stuff.) Flyers scored two goals early in the 1st from the Cap and Michael Del Zotto and the Bruins tied it in the 3rd. Oh, and Mason was spectacular. He made 45 saves in regulation and OT and only allowed the 2 goals and then went on to save 8 of 9 shots in the shootout. (Damn you Brad Marchand.) Shayne Gostisbehere scored the game winner on his 2nd ever attempt in a shootout. I will save that video on my computer forever because the reaction was nuts. Oh and of course, it became the 2nd game of the ten game streak. Just saying.

2. Flyers vs Capitals (December 21, 2016 – Flyers win 3-2 in Shootout

It was the first Capitals game of the season and the first since the playoff series back in April. And it was at home. Oh man, tensions were high in the Wells Fargo Center. Capitals took the early lead into the 2nd period but the Flyers tied it at 1 on a pretty impressive wraparound goal from Michael Raffl off a Radko Gudas shot. Flyers then had to tie it again and oh Captain, their Captain Claude Giroux tied it with 20.7 seconds left in the 2nd period. 20.7. Game goes to OT and the shootout after no one scores in the 3rd and of course, T.J. Oshie scores in the shootout. That man is too good at shootouts. But Jake Voracek also scored to keep the Flyers hopes alive. After Nicklas Backstrom missed in the 4th round, Wayne Simmonds manages to get the puck past Brayden Holtby and wins it, giving the Flyers a great Metro Division win right before the Christmas break after they had just ended the streak and had lost two straight to the Stars and Predators. Mason saved 36 Capitals shots and 3 straight in the shootout to give the Flyers the win and Mason the redemption that he needed from his playoff performance. (They kept showing that horrible goal Mason let up in the playoffs over and over again and it hurt me every damn time) They of course played the Devils in New Jersey the night afterwards and well, we all know how that went.

1. Flyers vs Oilers (December 8, 2016 – Flyers win 6-5)

If you don’t think this game has been the best game of the Flyers season, I just have one question for you…why? We’ve got so many goals, so many fights and the best (or worst) rivalry that really shouldn’t be a rivalry ever. I mean, super star Connor McDavid, one of the best performing players in the league right now versus Brandon Manning. Brandon freaking Manning. Yes, yes I get that Manning injured McDavid last season and took him out for a good chunk of the season. But really, this is the rivalry that you want McDavid? Be prepared to face a lot of really confused but really angry Flyers fans. It’s hysterical really in my opinion. But back to the game, a total of 10 goals were scored in the 2nd and 3rd periods, 5 in each. Oilers scored 3 goals in the 2nd, 2 in the 3rd and the Flyers reversed it for their 5 goals in the two period. The game was actually tied 3-3 going into the 3rd before mayhem ensued. That includes the game winner from Michael Raffl where he muscled past Jonas Gustavvsson and actually fell over him. It was seriously impressive. And after leaning on their goaltender, Steve Mason for the last few weeks, it was nice to see the offensive performing. Mason did allow the 5 goals, but saved 28 shots and earned his 6th straight win.

So that is my Top 10 games so far of this Flyers 2016-2017 season and I’m hoping there will be a few more to move onto the list. You know, once the Flyers get their heads together after this bye week. They’ll face the Devils on Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center.p
