it's just so fucking depressing to be doing everything I can, walking the tightrope of indulging my germaphobic neuroticisms in the name of covid safety versus trying not to have a mental breakdown because I'm leaning into the symptoms of my mental illness, only for it all to be meaningless because god fucking forbid the government that we pay money to provide for us grant us any kind of safety net. it's been almost 4 years. it didn't have to be this way.
