She had shuffled into the kitchen that morning, expecting to find it occupied by the ship’s cook. Rather than find him behind the counter, she found a woman at the table. Sunny had plenty of guests come and go, but Anita was normally aware of new presences.

“It’s lovely up here, isn’t is?” The day was hot and bright with not a speck of cloud in the sky, but the ocean breeze that swept in through the open window in the crow’s nest provided them with much needed ( and much appreciated ) relief. “Get’s a little stifling sometimes, but that’s why I like cracking all the windows open. The view’s pretty great too.”

He mostly meant the glimmering ocean, and partially meant her.

          Still, he shakes his head; too afraid to make the plunge. Realistically, he could just use his wings to fly off but ----- being a scared little boy, he WASN’T exactly thinking about that.

Sneakily places a flower behind Metalhead's ear when Tsumugu isn't around...

Metalhead really liked to feel pretty, a small flush took over the Pokémon’s features as he could feel like the belle of the ball. But suddenly is brought back to reality as he figured that General Tsumugu wouldn’t allow such a non-threatening accessory in the battlefield. He is a machine of destruction and fear after all! He can’t look beautiful in front of the enemy, right?

Metalhead calmly took the flower off his ear and put it on the ground, saluting the green-haired girl as he was about to leave… however, his tiny steps took to a halt as he looked back to the flower. I mean… it’s not like he would use it all the time… just after the drills… and after all, Metalhead could use being beautiful as a means to cope with the stress of war. 

The pokémon turned again and snatched the flower, saluting the girl once again as he walked away.

“I don’t mind all the questions, I really don’t! It’s nice to have someone ask for once instead of just assuming I’m a trophy, but...” He chuckled and gave the woman a guilty smile. “I didn’t mean to sound annoyed. I’m beyond grateful that you saved me, so I’ll answer as many questions as you like. Please, don’t be afraid to ask.”

She had gone through hell to get him out of the awful situation he was in. Penned up, swimming in what he considered a fish tank, for years with little to no interaction, he had come to forget what curiosity from another felt like. Not to mention it was the first time in too long that someone wanted him to speak. His owner had been keen on ranting and raving to him, and had given him no room to talk about his own feelings. Sanji supposed he should feel lucky that the woman that saved him was so interested in him and his kind.

Laying out on his back and stretching his arms over his head, the mer gave his tail a little flick. “Ask away, beautiful~”

His supply of vaccine was running low, but there was just enough for one more if she needed it. “I hope you’re not afraid of needles, but I promise it’ll be quick. But... you don’t really look sick.”
