German thrash titans DESTRUCTION release their 'best of old school' album Thrash Anthems II today. In celebration of the release, the band have prmeiered an official track video for 'United By Hate'. The video includes historical video footage covering over 30 years of the band’s history and features live footage from 1985 till 2016 - a must see for all thrash metal maniacs out there! Fans will also be pleased to hear that Schmier has lent his vocals to the track ‘Rippin You Off Blind’, which is taken from the CRACKED BRAIN album (one of only two albums to not feature the Herculean front man).   The follow-up to 2007's Thrash Anthems is ready to rock the metal world and shows how fans can be part of both a band's history and future. For Thrash Anthems II, DESTRUCTION called upon on their loyal fans through PledgeMusic to help them create the record and contribute to the band's epic history. Mastermind Schmier states: "As it is a part of our past to relaunch classic songs from our history with a fresh face and we had many demands on a Thrash Anthems continuation, we decided to do a second part of this re-animation of classic 80s DESTRUCTION material. For us it was important to chose the tracks with the fans and first when NB did not wanna do the album we decided to do a pledge campaign to raise the fonds for the production together with the die hards. To make a long story short, we know not everybody will like these new versions of those thrash evergreens (just listen to the originals then) but it was an important task for us to keep them alive for a whole new generation of metalheads that love those fresh and brutal new recordings. We are very happy now, that our label is finally releasing this collection of thrash classics. The vibe on this record is so vicious, uncommercial and has this 80s feeling with a even more aggressive edge and THAT is was made our THRASH so special, in the good old days and now!" Ύστερα απο οκτώ χρόνια κοινής πορείας του Vaaver με τους Destruction ο ντράμερ θα αποχωρήσει τον Μάρτιο για οικογενειακούς λόγους με τον ηγέτη της μπάντας, Schmier, να δηλώνει πως όλες οι προγραμματισμένες συναυλίες των Destruction θα πραγματοποιηθούν κανονικά μέχρι και τον Μάρτιο διευκρινίζοντας πως "Η μπάντα δεν πρόκειται να διαλυθεί και δεν θα κάνουμε αποχαιρετιστήρια συναυλία".

A teuton thrasher Destruction soraiból március végén – családi okok miatt – távozott Wawrzyniec “Vaaver” Dramowicz dobos, azóta Randy Blackkel (ex-Primal Fear, ex-Annihilator) turnéztak Schmierék, most pedig a próbaidős Randy hivatalosan is a Destruction új dobosa lett. Ebben a minőségében elsőként a Wacken fesztiválon lép majd fel a csapattal, augusztus 3-án.

Jó hír, hogy a Killfest Tour 2019 keretében Budapestre jön az Overkill, a Destruction és a Flotsam And Jetsam. A Barba Negrás bulin egy ausztrál csapat, a Meshiaak nyitja majd az estét március 11-én.

Sok évvel ezelőtt, amikor Randy még a Primal Fearben zenélt, mi pedig dobost kerestünk, már beszélgettünk erről a lehetőségről. De nem tettünk konkrét lépéseket, hiszen Randy a jó barátainkkal játszott együtt. Pár évvel később egy amerikai turnén már beugrott hozzánk kisegíteni, amikor Vaaver újra apa lett. Nyilvánvaló volt számomra, hogy ezúttal elsőként Randyt kell megkeresnünk, ő pedig meg is őrjített minket a feszes, groove-os, eszeveszett dobolásával. Egy nagyon jó fej kanadai srác amúgy, aki már sok éve Németországban él. Szóval, ez egy tökéletes párosítás. Üdv a bandában, cimbora!”
