The biggest part of the quantum computer is the refrigeration unit. That consists of a lot of brass piping. It’s plated with gold to enhance heat radiation.

So what you’ll often see in pictures is a stack of plates with tubing between the stages all nicely shining like gold. Each stage causes a drop in temperature. The actual computing unit is a very small chip down at the bottom where the temperature will be reduced to some milliKelvin.

For the rest there is lot of copper or gold wiring or wavetubes to carry microwave pulses that manipulate or read the qubits.

In the spirit of me adding more info when someone asks, here's some more info. So while the concept of a Wavetuber is only in Modern Telvan, the ability to project something other than your face is fairly old. Mages loved to goof off each other when the Wave was still a thing during medieval times by projecting other peoples faces or even pretending to be a monster during their chats. It just eventually became common knowledge and those that had some magical aptitude standardized the process of projecting something other than your real image.

Hello, and thanks for the ask!

I’ve already answered for wavetuber’s in general (which you can find here) but the concept is pretty fun so I’m gonna spill the beans on a character that appears in a yet to be announce WIP.

So Cereuleka’s a shark girl (I swear she was designed before the actual shark vtuber, it’s a woefully ironic coincidence) who isn’t quite a mermaid but isn’t quite a Chrominè either. Her senses are extremely sensitive to magic and since she spends most of her time in the water, she’s pretty much always connected to the Wave. Mermaids are one of the only people to not speak Common and instead speak something close to Latin. Since the Wave automatically translates into the language you use the most, Cereuleka learned most of what she knows about dryland through Wavetubers. Especially the videogame ones. This makes her say things like “hoc est poggers.”

So as previously established, the Wave is the internet if it used telepathy instead of electricity. Now what would happen if instead of projecting yourself, you project a different entity instead? Whatever image you construct would be a Wavetuber (in essence, at least.) It's like as if you embody your pfp while in the Wave. Wavetubers specifically refer to people who stream (pun intended) info to a large audience, whether it be something like playing games with a live audience or even something like holding a lecture about monsters across the Wave whilst simultaneously transforming into said monsters. Making a Killing features a rudimentary version of the Wave so I might even feature one of the first Wavetubers possible. Probably as an announcer for the fights. Yeah, 1930's magical Vtuber. Why not, right?
