so far not too shabby. i’m not the fourth day i think. i did pawn the gun i found that matched the suspected model of the murder weapon, but that one didn’t work so i think i’ll be alright. i can’t firgue out how to look for where the shot was fired from. had a hiccup with titus and had to start from a save cause a maxed out logic and i failed the initial check. now i’m obsessively saving every 10 minutes or so. i’m just about to go ask around the fishing town for the lorry lady. oh and i got the jackets :)

god okay disco elysium fans try and understand the consequences of actions challenge. jean is a dick but also he's like that... for a reason. kim has literally only just met harry he has no frame of reference for the past and NEITHER DOES THE PLAYER. Jean's been with harry since he was sober. he's seen the downfall. harry's gone clean before and all that happens is he fell in again. none of yall have had to be friends with an addict and it shows. it's constant. its painful. eventually compassion fatigue. you just can't care like you used to because every single time you offered a hand it got bit. sunk cost fallacy forces you to stay but its like poison. toxic, eating away at you, an albatross. you can't leave him but you can't live with him. you know hes hurting so so bad but the hurt spills from his overflowing heart into anger and its directed at you.

anyway td;lr jean's got good reason for giving up on harry, martinase was just his final straw. its not just "ough you shouted at me while being mentally ill once and now im mad :(" its "i have watched you systematically destroy yourself from the inside out. you are burning alive and every time i try to help you i get burnt. you have embraced the flames at this point and i don't know how else to help anymore. you arent who i used to know."

i was thinking abt a bunch of role reversal au art i've seen of kim and harry and tried to like imagine how it would work for me, and i settled on them swapping volition stats. I think in this au Harry would have had a similar situation with Dora, subsequent crisis and then managed to pull himself together out of shame and the fundamental desire to "not be" that person. I think he would experience and express his emotions less and less over time, still able to see beauty in the world and able to continue going but with a hesitence towards action or connection or expression. I think his relationship with Jean would be far less tense, but Harry withdrawing in such a way would probably make it fairly shallow as Jean would see him as emotionally "giving up" and would not be able to "reach him" so long as they were both working (since "functioning" is what caused Harry to enter an anhedonic state). I think Harry would have gone to Martinaise because, as the team leader, he felt it was his job to represent their precinct and because he would grasp onto anything presented to him as a chance to escape the monotony of his life.

I think Kim would be fucked with a low volition. Here he would be someone who sees the whole world as fundamentally against him, and has a lot of resentment and fear built up over years that is paralysing to his ability to exist in the world. He would be unable to form relationships easily, unable to self identify with much of anything due to a feeling of ostracisation that would fester into resentment and hate. He would see his body as a prison and find simply using and existing in it humiliating (wearing big clothes lol) , and wld start the game by intentionally crashing his MC into the waterlock in a suicide attempt.

I've thought about a couple moments I would like to explore with them like this like I'm probs gna draw them, I think you can't "reverse" their dynamic easily and so any attempt to do so leads to just a new and interesting deal.

You know that scene in Skybound when they are heading to Tiger Widow Island and the storm comes??? Yeah this is pretty much a rewrite.

I just love the thought of them being able to sense their elements. I had to implement it.

Their voyage was going pretty well, the waters were calm and the skies were clear. Cole stayed towards the middle of the deck, nervously looking at the water that splashed aboard every once in a while. Nya was below deck with Lloyd checking the rations for the long trip. It was quiet. Cole was almost tempted to ask Zane to play something--the man was a literal walking spotify for first master's sake! But he left the nindroid alone, sitting alongside Cole quietly (probably talking to his girlfriend in his head the lucky bastard) knowing he was about just as comfortable as he was with the surrounding of water. Hell, even Jay seemed irked by their waterlocked situation--Cole noticed him glancing to the sky longingly every so often as if thinking about making this ship fly as well. Speaking of Jay, Cole was a bit worried about him. He was sitting quietly at the stern, mindlessly flipping through a book published by Cliff Gordon--his newfound birth father. Every time Cole went over to talk to him, Jay just gave him a vague response, not looking up from his book. He had seemed so excited to flaunt Cliff's money and boat and house to them before, but his previous excitement was gone. Cole felt for him, he really did. The situation must have just dawned on him. He knew the feeling of having a deadbeat dad, but he was sure having a dead deadbeat dad must've been a whole new pill to swallow. So he gave him some space. Lloyd finally emerged with Nya from belowdeck, both of them carrying large coolers and baskets. Nya had her hair tied up in a tight bun, whereas Lloyd didn't seem to get the memo and yelped when his hair whipped around his face. After laughing at him for a moment, Cole approached him and stared at the baskets. Food? Lloyd read his expression, and gave a delighted laugh. "Yes, Cole. There's plenty of food. Whoever owned this ship must've had whole parties down here!" Cole sideyed Jay behind him, who just kept flipping through his book, and shook his head, laughing nervously. "Yeah they must've."

He eargely waited for Lloyd to sit down and open one of the baskets, almost immediatley becoming religious the second he saw the sea of sandwiches and baked goods waiting for them.

Soon enough they were all munching on a sandwich, sitting contentedly on the deck while sharing vague plans to get the Tiger Widow venom. Jay was the only exception, of course, being the only one who hadn't accepted food and still sitting at the stern silently.

Without his usual...animated exclamations, the silence was certainly felt. Eventually the group fell into a comfortable silence, Lloyd and Nya cuddled together on the floor of the deck, and Cole and Zane sitting staring at the sky, all stuffed up with more food that they had in days.

It was also more peace than we've had in days. Cole thought happily, arms tucked beneath his head as he cloudwatched. Until suddenly, as if the universe itself wanted to prove Cole wrong, Jay's head snapped up. He stuffed his book under his arm and stood, instantly gaining all of their attention. Cole saw lightning flash in his best friend's eyes and his heart sunk. Ah, he knew that look. It was the same one he got when he sensed an earthquake…when Zane sensed a blizzard…when Nya sensed rain… Jay's expression was firm, and sparks crackled along his arms, seeming to pull towards the direction he was staring at. "Storm's coming."

Season 3:

First, no love triangle, just a break up. Nya ends it with Jay after already needing space from him then watching him physically attack his friend over the results of a match making game. Then that's that. The rest of the plot is more focused on Zane, Pixal, and their relationship in the weeks leading up to his sacrifice.

Season 4:

During the events of this season Nya's powers begin to show while on a waterlocked and humid island. Things like bunches of water conveniently dropping out of trees to interrupt people mid attack or slippery puddles forming out of seemingly nowhere.

Not a lot of change in her portion of the story, she tracks the others down then makes the her way to the island. Only this time Dareth isn't the only one accompanying her, Gertrude Hellebore (an oc) goes with her as well. Nya is disguised as one of Chens guards, which gives her access to more parts of his palace.

Behr House Reno

I did a reno of the house the Behr sisters live in. I took inspiration from the fact that they inherited the house from their grandma. I imagine they kept a lot of things the same, so the interior is a little bit granny chic. Except their bedrooms are a lot more in line with their own styles.
